Google
I'm a San Diego Beaver fan. This place feels like the BB Mecca. Straight up brew operations vibe where the brew master just might be pouring your draft. Clientele all seem to be from your local bowling league (ba-bing!), friendly and thirsty. AND, puppies are allowed. Bonus!! Beer lineup covers all tastes. The selections hit the crossbar across all flavors. 20oz mugs would be great, but always on the wishlist nonetheless...

Google
Probably the best music and fun have in long time, every first Saturday of the month is open mic night with Teddy the terrible who is anything but terrible. Definitely a place y'all need to check out.💯

Google
What a spot!!! Came in around 8:30pm on a Monday and the bartender was such a stellar dude. Had a great conversation and enjoyed the bar to myself! Enjoyed their Mexican lager and west coast IPA. Mexican lager was perfect, had that subtle hint of salt & lime that landed just right. The West Coast IPA was solid, not too hazy which was great on the stomach. With a name like Belching Beaver, had to get a t shirt. Definitely add to your Oceanside/Carlsbad bucket list. A fantastic brewery!

Google
Came for open mic with Teddy. Stayed for the beer. The peanut butter stout nitro is worth a try. Food truck was also good.

Google
I want to acknowledge one of the bartenders, Ashley. She poured two beers simultaneously into different style glasses, requiring different pours that necessitated her to be on her tip toes because the handles were so far apart. This was cool and impressive to watch. Her service came with a smile and I appreciated both the expeditious serve as well as the skill to do so. Cheers to her :)

Google
Had a blast. The nitro peanut butter latte stought was delicious. Spinning Meats was catering and the Gyros were amazing. Apparently they cater every other Friday. The live music was fun and this place is kid and dog friendly. I really enjoyed the beer, food music and overall vibe.

Google
A great setup right in the brewery. Lots of space indoors and out! The thing that impressed me the most was seeing employees at the end of their shifts in the brewery coming over to the bar, ordering a beer and hanging out. It shows their love for the beer they are brewing. If you like craft beer, you need to visit, sit and have a beer! Just watch where you park and be respectful to the other businesses in the area.

Erich C.

Google
Great location! (It's near my house) Good variety of beers but it's very seltzer/IPA centric. Lots of seating inside and out. Different food trucks every day.

Yelp
Service is always great. Ambiance is always very welcoming and clean. Beer is always so cold and delicious. Food truck food is always great just be sure to see what food trucks are there ahead of time. Always enough sitting and you will always have a great time. Cheers!

Yelp
Stopped in for some Imperial Stout and my favorite Thumbs Up Bacon and BBQ. It was a busy Saturday night, but always a great time. Food was excellent, Thumbs Up was excellent as usual. Try the Rule of two - 5 yr imperial Stout and the Viva La Beaver - they are amazing! The place was rocking with the band playing, Dodgers on the Screens and the large crowd.

Yelp
Our last visit here as we are moving out of state. They had Mr cerviche a food truck over last night. Smaller crowd. Food was good there. Bartenders were great as usual. Their were heaters around. And Dog friendly as usual. They also had live music last night. A very nice gentle singer who sang and played oldies - the kind of music we liked. Homeward bound we are... Great night! Sorry we are leaving. But good job and wish u guys all the best and thanks for last night!

Yelp
Delicious! I was expecting a bit more heat, but it's still awesome!!! Also tried one of their sister company, Hop Habit - Desk Pop West Coast IPA. Oh so good!

Yelp
I have had Belching Beaver on more than one occasion but my list guided me to delve into their beer once more. I got a beer that I have had before which is something I don't often do when making a post about a brewery with more than location that is on my list. But I enjoy the Peanut Butter Milk Stout so much that I had to do a repeat. It was just too irresistible. The flavor highlights to keep your taste buds peeled for are milk, sweet and coffee. The texture of the beer is smooth and creamy and that's very pleasant to experience when having this very fine stout.

Yelp
I have yet to experience this brewery and Oceanside itself. Also, it would be my first visit this fall to a hosted Marine Corps organized event in November for their 250th. Birthday. I look forward to being welcome.

Yelp
The Manager reached out to me about my 1st review & the complaint I had about the service I received. He said he would resolve the problem so it doesn't happen again. The food & Wine is good!

Yelp
I was introduced to Belching Beaver's amazing Peanut Butter Milk Stout at a wedding several years ago, and couldn't stop thinking about them. I made sure I had them on my itinerary during my recent trip to San Diego because I needed to stock up for the holidays. I was debating if I wanted to visit their San Diego location or the Oceanside location, but I was glad that I came to their Oceanside venue. Location is away from the beach and has its own private lot. Plenty of open space and beer tasting are available. I visited their brewery on a Monday afternoon and was amazed by the amount of people flocking to the brewery at 3pm. Lots of beers and seltzers available, but since I am a Stout girl, I haven't tried the other beers on tap. Great spot to hangout and catch up with friends if you like beer!

Yelp
In San Diego Area for the week for a work meeting. Following the meeting i looked up local breweries, came across Belching Beaver & saw that i was only about 10 minutes away. Decided to make my way there. Excellent choice. The Phantom Bride IPA has always been one of my favorite beers of all times. I've always had to buy it canned so it was nice to be able to have it on draft. I was impressed with how good the Red Ale was as well. I was disappointed that there wasn't a food menu , but then i saw there was a food truck right outside. Decided to try the Adobada (Marinated Pork) burrito and it definitely hit the spot. Overall 10/10. From the good beer, good food, and good service.

Yelp
After drinking some of their peanut butter stout in a can, I had to make sure that I visited their brewery. Yes, it's a long pilgrimage from Seattle, but boy was it worth it. Turns out that they've made it their mission to incorporate peanut butter into nearly all of their stouts. Their flight is rather on the expensive side, but I can honestly say that it was one of the best if not THE best flight of beers I've ever had. Where else have I ever had 4 stouts in a flight? Never, until now. To start, the PB latte golden stout was exactly what it tasted like. Even the color was much lighter to match. PB milk stout nitro was also exactly as I'd imagined; smooth and dark. The surprise of the bunch was the Snappin' ginger stout; not too ginger forward, nice depth of flavor and a long finish. It was so good that I went back for seconds. The Viva La Beaver - Mexican chocolate stout was subtle but also with a nice long finish. While I lament that I don't live near this brewery, it's a good thing, as I probably would park myself here on a bench every week. Also the tater tots from Copper King Burgers were superb! So glad that I made the trip here.

Yelp
Went there for bingo night. It was fun! We tried 3 kinds of beer and enjoyed them all. One tasted like a blueberry muffin, one like PB&J, and one was just a normal light beer. They have rotating food trucks but we didn't try the food. Will definitely check it out again someday.
google avatar

Brenda A.

Yelp
Nice brewery, great for families with little kids! When we went their were kids drawing with chalk, bubbles going on, and karaoke with dancing. I don't have kids yet so it wasn't really the ambience I was looking for but it was nice and easy going. The brewery is sort of small... there isn't much seating, and there was only one bathroom. Great beer tho! :)
google avatar

Anne C.

Yelp
Happy hour selections are wonderful and portions are generous. Huge selection of brews on tap. Great back patio.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
Large, spacious location. Nice patio and plenty of seating inside, too (including couches). They even have a stage and a band was playing when we arrived. The beers, as always, are high quality. I don't always love all of them but if you get a flight, there are plenty to choose from. If you're into hard seltzers, the Beav is producing a lot of them now. I'm not a fan of seltzers but someone must be drinking them. Total different vibe here from the Pub 980 location. The crowd here is older and, surprise, mellower. One is not better than the other. They're just different. They often (always?) have rotating food vendors on site. Great beers, great use of space.
google avatar

Sean D.

Yelp
I frequent this place fairly often as it's my neighborhood brewery. To be fair, I don't frequent in their later hours often. That said, I walk in at 9pm on a Friday as they close at 10 and was told by the tender last call was already called but he'll serve me. 1hr before closing and last call was already called? Hhmmm, fine. Ordered my bear and nearly a third of it was super bubbly, not a foam or head. "Enjoy" as he clicked 20% on his own before I even offered my card. Really tacky service. All in all, this was like closing a restaurant an hour early then serving the leftover food from previous customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome brewery with amazing beer, atmosphere and knowledgeable staff! They have a huge selection of beers on tap and in a cold case to take home. Ample seating inside the large warehouse space or outdoors. Dogs welcome, inside and out! Two guys pizza company had a pop up on site making delicious pizzas. All in all great food and beer. I'd highly recommend and go back.

Tom T.

Yelp
Love the beers. Nice atmosphere. Didn't try food truck. Peanut butter milk stout nitro is rally smooth.

Kurt B.

Yelp
This place is popular so it can get very crowded. The beers are great with good variety and it's a nice atmosphere. Usually a good foos truck as well.

Annie N.

Yelp
My husband and I are expecting a baby and we were so glad to find out that they allow people to host events there. We had our baby shower there and it was truly a great experience. Been coming to this local Belching Beaver and love the beers so it was awesome to be able to share this with friends and family at our event. Kevin was super accommodating and flexible with everything. He even came in 2 hours before the brewery opened up to the public so we could come in and decorate ahead of time. We also appreciated that Kevin and the staff provided an extra table for us to place our food and helped sweep up some confetti left on the floor afterwards. Overall, it was an easy experience to host an event there and plus our guests loved trying out all the yummy beers and seltzers on tap.

Yelp
Location is great, got restaurants all over, cute quaint little shops and then a brewery right in the heart of it all. Prime location if I do say so myself. Family friendly and dogs all over the place too. Obviously on leashes and well trained but basically open to everyone. Great little spot to pop in for a drink
google avatar

Anna F.

Yelp
This is a family friendly brewery. Although sometimes there's no food that you can order when there's no food truck but the beers are delicious. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Fast service even when they are always busy.
google avatar

Marissa N.

Yelp
Belching Beaver should be on your checklist! I came to this location to do a beer run and pick up my order. I didn't spend too much time here but WOW.. this ambience here is so nice!! This place is pretty spacious and clean! There's indoor seating and patio seating, a good variety of beer selection & food on the menu. Also, the staff are SO FRIENDLY! A big ++ for me! Hoping I'll make a weekend trip out here to explore the menu and enjoy the experience here.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
I definitely like this BBB! I like that the space is huge and that dogs are allowed inside. The one in vista has a cool patio/back area but it's dirt so it makes your dog dirty. This one patio is paved and not dirt so you don't get dirty. The beers are good. They're even on a sour trend and started making some of their own spiked seltzer. I don't think I ever had a bad beer at BB. This one gets packed but it's so big that there's space for everyone.

Nelson R.

Yelp
Overall the best Brewery in San Diego! Great service and the best section of beers. Been to more breweries in San Diego than I can count and at each one I can find only 1-2 maybe 3 beers that are good or just okay. And at Belching Beaver there's maybe only been a couple that I didn't like from their huge selection of craft beers. What I've realized was this has been the overall consensus from several people I spoken to about BB. Keep it up guys you're doing great!

Kristina F.

Yelp
The food is great! The beer is great! It's a big place so you can often get a seat even on a Saturday night. Right in downtown Vista. Service is friendly and knowledgeable
google avatar

Bonnie G.

Yelp
I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars but since I love Belching Beaver, I rounded up. It's a really hard to top their original Vista location (which is now Pub980). This location has the same great bear as their other location but it is also their main production area- expect to see tanks and barrels abound! No food here but you can bring it. I think they sometimes have food trucks. Would I be back? Yes, if I was in the area but my go-to spot is in Vista.
google avatar

Yelp
When COVID hit, lots of places closed, especially the bars and breweries - at least the tap and tasting rooms did. As California opened and re-closed a couple of times, Belching has gotten smart and added much more outdoor seating. And since under our current guidelines you cannot drink booze without ordering food, they have managed to schedule food trucks to show up every day - which is fantastic. Each day is something different, from pizza to burritos, BBQ to hot dogs. All the food is great and we have our favorites (and maybe not so favorites) - but the beer is ALWAYS flowing. This weekend they celebrated their 8 year anniversary and introduced new beer and mead items on the menu and they were mind-blowingly good! COVID will be around for a while, and hopefully so will Belching. At least we visited here enough times to keep them in business for a while :-)
google avatar

Pau R.

Yelp
Chill spot! Usually have a food truck. Cool spot to hang out. Good atmosphere and outdoor area as well.
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Epic tasting room area that is dog friendly. Just had a great night here with a buddy. Food trucks are always exceptional quality. Bartenders are chill always let you try new brews and you'll find one you love. I always do. We'll done belchers

Brendan Sylvia C.

Yelp
The top Brewey we come to love, as well as Staff! Amazing beer, great atmosphere always. For the person who said they have the same pop up eatery, False! Check there website, and you will see all the amazing vendors they have weekly, and all yummy, Spinning meats is for us, nevertheless; there's some bomb food from the other vendors as well ! The beer is amazing, Ashley,Both Jessie's , Reese, Troy, and the the other young man, he's name slips me , I will definitely update this post, when I double check names ! The Callahan's
google avatar

Alexandra B.

Yelp
My review is for the Pints for Pups event at the brewery. We had an excellent time, the been was very good with lots of selection, free parking, and excellent food provided by Full Metal burgers. I ordered the PB stout and the chocolate stout. Both were very good and a good price. We sat at one of the picnic tables and had some nachos. The nachos were FANTASTIC, the shredded chicken was seasoned very well and the cheese was deliciously melted and had very tasty and crispy edges. I know it is hard to believe that Nachos can be fantastic, but these were not your movie theatre nachos, far from it! The Pints for Pups event also had some great raffle prizes.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Ok so here's my specific complaints about this place: 1. Restrooms: there's one. Literally. And I don't mean one for male, and one for female. I mean one total. In a place which can comfortably seat 60-80 people, how would this ever be justifiable? 2. Service: it was ehhhhh at best. Apathetic, anti charismatic, almost somber. When breweries are now a dime a dozen, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere
google avatar

Victoria R.

Yelp
This is a great location! Great vibes, spacious, and love that it's dog friendly! Plenty of parking as well. Friendly staff and great beer! You'll definitely lobe coming here with friends! I also loved coming the day island life foods was there selling their food! I was a fan of their poke.
google avatar

Vincent C.

Yelp
I'm just happy I don't need to drive to Vista to have a Peanut Butter Milk anymore. So I checked out some pictures on Yelp and it looked alright so I figured I had to check it out so I finally did. I knew it was in a huge warehouse but I also thought it would be very cool and laid back with some cool add ons. So its just a warehouse with a little bar and serveral pinic type tables. To me it seems like the tasting room was an afterthought. I'm thinking they were just going to use this space for production then they said well why not add a little bar too? This spot is nothing real speacial besides teh beer but oh well at least I'm not driving to Vista. They have a menu but they also have beer that may not be on the menu so make sure to ask. You can bring food or if you come on certain days they have food from this burger spot called Full Metal Burgers. They close at 8pm during the week which I thought was pretty early but that may change if they get more customers who knows.
google avatar

Katelyn R.

Yelp
We feel lucky to have a Belching Beaver establishment here in Oceanside! Although I very much enjoy the full kitchen in Vista, I love that we can pull up to this location at anytime of day and have plenty of parking and seating. There is indoor and outdoor picnic style tables to choose from. We like to bring lunch or dinner with us and enjoy a few beers with our pup!
google avatar

Heihachiro K.

Yelp
Triple B is a legit brewery in my book. Their beers are always high quality, with a lot of variety and super delicious. I have mad respect for them. Not to mention their establishments are pretty cool and hip to knock back some suds. The old lady and pup like it too. Check it out! Ample parking Dogs allowed Friendly staff

Ry J.

Yelp
Awesome beer, perfect service and fabulous areas to hang out. Pool table, food trucks and awesome beer. What could go wrong.

Yelp
Belching Beaver Brewery First time to Oceanside for Beer, now I fell like I should dive in here more often, My beer town is at Miramar Area where is the melting point of micro breweries of San Diego. The ambiance is wonderful and location is very isolated and quite. Belching Breaver beer are brewed to the Perfection. The warehouse is hard to find but its BIG, lot of space to relax and have fun. Getting there: Lost Abbey is really lost in San Macros, it is hard to find. Follow the directions carefully. It's Hard to find. It is literally Lost, all the way behind few commercial buildings. Beer Choices: Good, ~ 15 taps *** Top 5 Beers (No-Particular Order) *** Not my favorite places for beer, tried 4-5 beers but none was impressive. Beavers Milk Stout: Best Basic Milk Stouts: Nice roasted flavor, very basic & no adulteration. The Mayor - Scotch Ale W Maple, Coffee and Vanilla OL' dirty Barrel - Bourbon Barrel aged imperial stout. Peanut Stout Me so Honey, decent Pale Ale ***Ambiance*** The atmosphere is like a big picnic area with lot of picnic tables and bar stools. Lot of Fun stuffs to do, Bean bag toss, Jenga. One small TV near the Wall Menu. ***Prices*** The prices varies on beer the range is below Taster size: $2 Half pour size: $3-$4 Full size pour: $5-$7 Growler: $16-$20 (Growler fills are priced as 40 oz and 64 oz fills only) ***Food*** Food truck, pretty good ones. ***Try this*** Lot of Fun stuffs to do, Bean bag toss, Jenga. ***Highs*** Nice and Big setup, picnic like. Pet Friendly ***Lows*** NOT GREAT BEERS Hoping to come again and try different beers and update my ratings. Big Shout out for Ritz the bartender, very friendly indeed. **Timing** Mon Closed Tue Closed Wed 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thu 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Fri 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sat 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sun 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Yelp
We love this place. Friendly atmosphere for young families. Lots of variety for beer options. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Maddie S.

Yelp
Great beer and good selection! We had a party of +10 and they offered us a more private dinning room/outdoor area for all of us. Very personable employees who knew all the best off the menu.
google avatar

Aimee S.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night for some beer and grub. Two hours before they closed they ran out of food, so we only had one beer and left. I had the me so honey beer which was tasty. The beers were about $7. The lady who was running the food truck told us "just so you know we're out of food." As we got in line. Great. Then later she came to our table and told us they still have some food left but didn't elaborate. Really helpful. The tables are not six feet apart and most were not wearing masks at the tables so - just something to be aware of.
google avatar

Feliciano G.

Yelp
Ashley was great! Attentive and knowledgable on the wide selection of beers. Good time and good beer and friendly staff. Stay away from the grape selfzer. Q
google avatar

Ileana L.

Yelp
This is basically a hidden gem of a "tasting room" in a huge garage brewery! Barrels line the walls, the beer is fresh off the tap & inexpensive, and doors are open to air (probably depending on the weather), it's well lit with string lights, and the music is cool. To say the place is spacious is cutting it short. Everything we tried was delicious. Also since they also serve food, you can bring your kids (they have coloring books!) They have foosball & giant jenga too. I got the ODB (old dirty barrel) with vanilla and coconut - russian imperial stout (10.3%)*, orange vanilla ipa (6.9%), mexican chocolate peanut butter stout (7.5%), hazers going to haze double ipa (8.2%), and the here comes mango ipa (6.5%) *so yummy!! I got the 8oz; it'll probably have me on my butt in a couple minutes

Yelp
Belching Beaver just renovated and rebranded their original brewery in Vista as "Pub 980". This Oceanside location is the new main production brewery. As you would probably expect, the brewing area is huge, with massive tanks. It is quite impressive just because of the scale of the place. The tasting room is just okay. There is lots of space, but only a few tables. Bar seating was limited. There is a company store in the corner, and games like giant Jenga and giant Connect Four are available. There was nothing wrong with the service, but it wasn't exceptional either. I think the staff feel swamped by the volume of customers. Parking was little tough on the weekend. Because it is so large, this area and the tasting room have even more of an industrial feel than in the usual craft brewery. For this reason, even if I lived nearby, I don't think I would chose this location to hang out at: You could go instead to Pub 380, or the Belching Tavern and Grill in Vista, both of which are very pleasant places to spend time. The Belching Beaver North Park tasting room is likewise very nice. Since I've had a lot of Belching Beaver beer in my time, on this occasion I was just looking for a pint. To my surprise and pleasure, they had on a fresh keg of Thizz is What it Is, a Citra Double IPA that was the 2017 winner of the Alpha King Challenge, a competition that runs alongside the Great American Beer Festival and which some consider to be the most prestigious award in brewing. This is head brewer Thomas Peter's third Alpha King medal, including a bronze in 2015 and another gold in 2014. Belching Beaver is already doing well and they seem to be on an upswing at the moment. Look to see their Peanut Butter Stout in cans and kegs in even more places, and to see more of their lineup being distributed as well.

Yelp
Great brewery in a somewhat obscure place. It's in an an area where there is a mix of businesses and residential areas, so you wouldn't know it was here unless you went looking for it. We used to go to the one down in San Diego, so it's nice that we don't have to drive so far to enjoy some good brews. They don't serve food, but they have a different food truck daily, with some of them offering vegan options *squeals in delight*. The staff is pleasant, and there is lots of seating in and outside. Definitely a place you can become a regular at.

Adam B.

Yelp
Great selection of brews. A good chill place to hang out in Oceanside. Friendly staff and patrons.
google avatar

Ahron B.

Yelp
Great brewery with a good variety of beers that are frequently rotated. It's located in an industrial park, so plenty of parking and not much else around (that's open to the public anyway). Open air seating that's spread apart, and high warehouse ceilings make this place feel more pandemic-friendly than most. They don't serve food, but have a rotation of food trucks that come by daily. You can find the food vendor updated weekly on their website.
google avatar

Bryan P.

Yelp
Belching Beaver Brewery in Oceanside is a great spot to sit down on a Sunday evening and enjoy a beer. With a fully equipped tap room and acting as one storage house, Belching Beaver can host any type of party you need. They have a wide selection of specialty crafts fresh from the tap. I have never been a huge fan of Belching Beaver Brews however the atmosphere is what does it for me. The taproom can get a bit noisy but its spacious, well-lit, and never crowded. I would recommend this spot for any small party and beer lovers who have a wide variety of tastes for special crafts!
google avatar

Alisa M.

Yelp
I prefer their Vista Village location but who wouldn't? Maybe the die hard brewery fan because yes this is a brewery. Me So Honey is my go to here. I think they need a little more seating and offer some white ales or unfiltered brews to truly float my beer boat but service is great.
