Belen de la Cruz Empanadas & Pastries

We stopped by Belén de la Cruz Empanadas and really enjoyed the experience. We tried a variety: two beef empanadas (juicy and flavorful), a chicken and cheese (moist and delicious), two spinach, and a ham and cheese. Every single one was piping hot and full of flavor. We got the $16 combo deal, which includes three empanadas, a drink, and a dessert. I had a raspberry nut square and my wife had a coconut square—both were brownie-sized and very tasty. Service was friendly and quick, and the place is clean and cozy. Just two small tables inside, so it’s more of a takeout spot unless you’re lucky to grab a seat. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricy side, but totally worth it if you’re craving empanadas. We’d definitely come back!

Loved their authentic Argentinian empanadas 😍. They are baked not fried. My favorite flavor was beef, cheese chicken and caprese. Highly recommended, they also offer catering 😊

If I could give more than a 5 stars I would!! These are authentic Argentinian empanadas made from Scratch, great service, great taste, I recommend Belen De la Cruz empanas and pastries any time . The flavor just exquisite!!

As a first-generation Southamerican of Peruvian and Chilean decent, I've been waitng for an authentic Argentinian empanada bakery to open here in the heart of Dallas since 1994! I had the pleasure of ordering a dozen beef empanadas on 3/13/25. The attention to detail is impeccable. When I called, they asked me if I wanted them frozen, fully baked to eat now or cooked about 80% so that I could finish baking them at home. This is a HUGE detail that I've never been asked anywhere else. I picked up my order and Leticia was extremely friendly and my order was ready to go when I arrived. The quality of the dough was thin and light. It was soft with crispy edges. The ground beef filling was extremely flavorful and not greasy at all. Don't forget to take chimichurri which is also great. The tres leches desserts were also great. We shared our dozen with our Argentinian neighbor and she LOVED them so that's all you really need to know! I'm so happy this is finally here in Dallas!

The empanadas at Belén de la Cruz are insane! Seriously, they’re packed with flavor, the dough is just right, and the fillings are on another level. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and authentic recipes. I tried a few different ones and every single one was amazing. If you’re into real empanadas, this place is a must.

This Argentinian empanada and bakery shop is a hidden gem. The empanadas are exceptional ,perfectly baked, and packed with flavorful fillings that taste homemade in the best way. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and each bite feels like comfort food done right. Beyond the food, the people here are genuinely kind and welcoming. It’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or grabbing a box to share, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended!

I usually try to stay positive when reviewing restaurants, but being from Argentina and from a family that makes its own empanadas, it’s hard for me to say these are good. They lack that true homemade touch. I didn’t try all the flavors, but I focused on the meat one, which is the traditional choice. The ground beef tasted like it hadn’t been cooked long enough to develop that authentic flavor. The size is fair for the price, but in DFW there are other places where you can find real Argentinian empanadas. For me, this just isn’t the one.

My husband had a work event that needed to be catered. I found this place through google and decided to give them a shot with how good their ratings were. They also seemed to be extremely friendly for catering with the name of each empanada branded onto the pastry. What a massive hit. The empanadas are outstanding. We ordered many dozen empanadas in 6 flavors. Beef, Chicken, Beef + Cheese, Chicken + Cheese, Squash, and Spinach. I split 4 of the flavors with my husband so that we could try multiple without hogging all of them. The regular beef was favorite but I still need to try the spinach and regular chicken. We also ordered some chimichurri sauce of course and some dulce de leche cookies (Alfajor). Also incredible. The empanadas themselves are quite large and priced well. I didn't know how I'd like the baked over fried empanada, but I have to admit the baked was probably better than fried for me. It didn't leave me feeling heavy and yucky like fried sometimes do. Not only was the food good but the service was excellent. Super friendly staff. We called after hours on accident and although they were closed, the phone was answered and he was so nice. I am glad to know this place exists and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend getting a bunch of flavors to split with someone so you can taste multiple at once.

I had a chance to try Belen de la Cruz empanadas and pastries. This spot is considered a new restaurant, so I wanted to just give it a try. I'm so glad that I did because I love empanadas alot and they didn't disappoint! It is in a plaza with several different businesses so it was hard to find parking right in front of it, but you might have to park down further and walk back to the restaurant. So I placed an order for the special they were running; three empanadas, a dessert and a drink. for $16. So I decided to try the Cheesy Beef, Chicken & Cheese and the Bacon empanada. I chose the brownie for my dessert and got a Coke Zero. It didn't take them long at all; the food came right out, and it was super hot - you could tell it was cooked fresh - made to order There's two small pub tables in there. I did go outside for a bit because there were so many people coming in to place orders and pickup orders. The customer service was extremely great; the lady working the counter was really, really nice. She asked me to take a flyer indicating that they do catering. There was actually someone there inside asking if they could place a catering order for their employees to eat that very next day! I couldn't wait soon as I got into the car, I started tasting each empanada AND I ate all three empanadas while I was sitting in the car; they were that DELICIOUS! If you like empanadas; I highly recommend this place!

Belen De La Cruz is a little hidden gem. I tell everyone how wonderful the empanadas are. Lots of vegetarian item to choose from. The mushroom and the spinach are my favorites. I normally get it to go frozen but they have a little table right inside the door if you want to eat there. You can pick them up frozen or something like 80 percent or fully baked. Don't miss out!

Run, run, run as fast as you can! The empanadas are soooo good! I love the way they are packaged. Each empanada has the type stamped on top , so you know what they are. I loved the spinach and mushrooms + the butternut squash was incredible. The beef was also very good. I got 2 of those. Look carefully, easy to miss. Proprietor said a single is ordered. But don't wait for the sign, too good to miss!

Belen's empanadas are delicious! They have different variations and you can't go wrong with any! Not only is the food amazing, the staff is awesome! Belen is so sweet and she welcomes you with open arms. I highly recommend stopping by and trying their empanadas
