A relatively new spot in downtown Savannah, GA, that specializes in Espanades. The staff were incredibly polite and professional, and I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything looked. The display case was tidy, with a nice variety of options to choose from.
In my opinion, the prices were a bit on the higher side, and I didn’t experience the “wow” factor I was hoping for. The cookies, for instance, were just sweet without much depth or complexity in flavor—simply not my cup of tea.
But I want to say that I gave this place a second and even a third chance, and now I’m absolutely thrilled. For me, it’s important that the empanadas cool down and are just slightly warm—that’s when I can fully enjoy them. When I tried them for the first time, they were very hot, I burned myself, and I couldn’t taste the flavors at all. So, if you didn’t like the empanadas, try waiting about 15 minutes next time to let them cool down—you might enjoy them much more!
