Bells Art Factory is one of Ventura’s true gems. Located in a beautifully repurposed former mattress factory, this nonprofit community arts center is deeply rooted in creativity, accessibility, and community care. The space is home to 30+ local artists working in painting, ceramics, photography, jewelry, and more. In addition to artist studios, Bells offers youth art classes, artist-led workshops, and cultural programming including Ballet Folklórico, Aztec Dance, and yoga Monday through Friday with a suggested donation, making wellness and movement accessible to everyone. I’ve personally attended donation-based sound baths and their Día de Muertos event, and both were thoughtfully organized, welcoming, and grounded in community and cultural respect. The value here is undeniable. You are getting high-quality programming, meaningful cultural experiences, and direct support of local artists and educators, all without high price barriers. Parking is available in a small lot on site, though spaces are limited. Street parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhood. They also host First Fridays, which are always a great way to experience the space, meet artists, and support local creativity. Everything here feels intentional and community-driven. If you’re looking for an affordable, enriching space that truly invests back into the community, Bells Art Factory is absolutely worth visiting and donating to.

I happen to have visited the Bell Arts Factory on their First Friday event. Many studios were open to the public on that evening. I talked to a few artists and one of them gave me a piece of art and the other connected me to another amazing human being biking from California to China. I am so glad I went there!

Google
The Bell Arts Factory was at one time a Matress factory ? It has been converted into variety of small studios used for the sole purpose of anything representing " Art " in it's most basic form ? From Pottery , Stained Glass , Painting , Pewter & Bronze Sculptures to Modern dance and Yoga classes ? My reason for my continued visits to Bell Arts ? Is because , I still work for Sharon who is the Director of the Buena Ventura Art gallery , which now has it's New location there , because the previous location was sold for a substantial profit ? I'm a paid part time employee who performs Maintenance and Painting when needed ? I'm helping the gallery to meet their dead-line for reopening their doors to the Public sometime in late August 2018 ?

Yelp
Checked out a free Zumba class tonight! I had a blast! It was only 45mins but I really got a workout!! Lots of smiles and so much fun!!! I think they also offer free art classes. I had never been here before and I'm so happy my friend recommended this place. What an maxing community center. I was told there is a Day of the Dead event November 2,2023. Not sure if I will be able to make it but will try :)

Yelp
This is a fun spot made up of artist studios with workshops and classes for adults and kids in a variety of arts and crafts, great art for sale, and interesting events. On the first Friday of each month they participate in Ventura's "First Fridays" when artists across Ventura open their studios to the public. Bell Arts Factory artists open their studios and also have food trucks, music and an eclectic mix of visitors. It is a great time to mix and mingle and check out what's happening in the artists' studios.

Yelp
Love this place, what an asset to our community. My kids recently started taking classes here & I like to browse the studios of these talented artists. And the Ave is just a fun place to be.

I talked to a few artists and one of them gave me a piece of art and the other connected me to another amazing human being biking from California to China. I am so glad I went there! I wish they had more studios doing open house at the same time, there were a couple of artists I really wanted to check out, but they weren't there.
