Excellent lunch. We shared a delicious Caesar salad and a fabulous pizza.

It had been many years since we tried Bella’s, 4 of us and we ALL enjoyed our meal. I had the chef’s special and it was delightful. We will be back.

Got a goat cheese and honey pizza. It was good though it was even better when I brought the rest home and added a spicy salami to cut through the sweetness. Yum! My friend got a curry that was lovely. Will visit again

Excellent spot! The food is top-notch! The staff members were friendly. Highly recommend the fried olives and deluxe pizza! My only suggestion is that I wish they had AC - it gets pretty warm inside when the restaurant is full. Also, be sure to make a reservation because they can get pretty busy. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

A variety of offerings for different tastes. Wonderful flavors. The seating is close but we struck up a nice conversation with people seated at the table next to us.

What an absolute gem, hole in the wall, gotta try it of a Restaurant Bistro and Bar. Friendly staff, Emma was our waitress and she helped us with our orders. She was friendly and fully dedicated to Bella Bistro's impeccable quality in service and food. The fact that the restaurant also kept everyone working during COVID, proves the importance of keeping a great workers relationship and happiness with the business. The food didn't take long to cook, started off with a nice B52 coffee, being an Italian special Bistro, coffee is very important and it was perfect. Ordered porc shirt rib starter and a homemade bred plate with homemade butter. As well as a plate of eggplant salad. All was very fresh, hot and delicious. As for the main course, I had the beef short rib with potatoes and a red sauce, melt in your mouth meats and the sauce was rich and a hint of sweet. We've also ordered a quarter lemon chicken, that sits on potatoes and covered with a cheese base white sauce. All in all, an absolute pleasure of a soirée. Be mindful, the plates and meals are no slouch either, large portions on the entrées and main course meals. We didn't have enough space left for cakes....and there's so many choices for desserts. I would recommend Bella Bistro for everyone, would also recommend you'd need to reserve ahead to ensure your seating, it gets very busy. Parking is fairly large, but be mindful that you'll lose some space during winter. Enjoy a night out at Bella Bistro.

What a great place! Service was excellent and friendly. The ingredients in my meal were so fresh! Highly recommend their Thai Curry Chicken.

Went after the dinner rush and this place was still packed.... this place is busy and not huge so keep that in mind if you haven't made a reservation. We had a daily pizza special (not on menu) and Warm Spinach Salad w/Chicken. Pizza was okay - would choose a burger next time, the ones I saw come out looked good (lamb burger next time!). It was all served surprising quickly for the amount of people there. Servers were great, quick, attentive and friendly. Came back many times to confirm everything was good and she was extremely busy. Only disappointment was the list of beers looked big but not one stout or porter... not sure if that was normal but I'd recommend they consider the option. I'll give it a second go round if I'm out that way again.

Interesting menu and pleasant servers but it's trying to be fine dining in a greasy spoon. Would be a gem if they developed a patio on the water. I like what they're doing, just not there yet.

Honestly best burgers in town if not In the Province. Farm to table menu which means seasonal and fresh. Great service as well. However, decor can be a little more modern and wine selection can be improved. I would recommend this place to every!

We went here for supper last night after hearing high praise from others. We were disappointed. The service was very good. The decor is pretty basic and the food is mediocre at best. The noise level is very high making it difficult to carry on a conversation. On the other hand prices were as high as as some of the higher end restaurants in town ( $22 for pork chops). I had a $14 club panini, which is similar to a club sandwich but not as good. It was two slices of bread with a thin layer of chicken and a slice of tomato, perhaps a small amount of something else. It came with a small salad which costs $3 extra to upgrade to a Caesar. In summary, I would say expensive comfort food in an uncomfortable setting.

We've been here several times but haven't been to the restaurant in a while. I thought for a treat last night we would go back to Bella and have supper. I had the pasta carbonara and my wife had a vegetarian burger. I've had the pasta several times before and it is one of my favourite dishes. However, last night I found the pasta very greasy with a large amount oil at the bottom of the plate. I mentioned this to the waitress and she said she would inform the kitchen. Overall, the food was mediocre and the service was very slow. I'm not sure what's changed but something has and, unfortunately, not for the better. Jay K.

I miss the original Bella's in Gananoque which was pretty ambitious...but the locale at the time was a different economic stratosphere (lower end). Stev and wife set this unassuming spot on the edge of Kingston's urban sprawl. Bella's out here is just good elevated comfort food...the three stars is for the pizza which I had (I'm from the tri-state area so this is a tough bird to please) which was decent but the crust def needed work. I'll come back and try something else...a good neighborhood joint for sure.

I got the lamb shank for pickup. It was fall-off-the-bone tender and came with a delicious peppercorn gravy. It came in a recyclable container and was as delicious as it would have been in I was sit-in

I went with my two sisters for a night out. They had a patio set up outside which was so lovely. The food was amazing. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was delicious. I often try it when I see it on a menu and it is the best I've had in Kingston, bar none. Already planning my next visit!!

Out of Town Reiview!! My new fav join in Kingston, ON!! This quaint place feels like home, like a cozy diner. It's got great service and awesome home cooked meals - every dish is to die for! The waitress was extremely attentive and she always recommends the daily specials (written on the walls near the ceiling). Upon her recommendation, I ordered the SALMON FILET topped with sundried tomatoes and pinenuts. Came with Veggies and potatoes. I substituted the potatoes for a ceasar salad, but it was all so aromatic and flavourful. The salmon, was cooked perfectly (I always request rare in the middle). My bf had the FRIED CHICKEN with sweet potato fries and the black bean and corn salad - this was almost like a home cooked Southern meal, which we were not expecting to find in Kingston, but we were thoroughly impressed. Chicken was cripsy and flavourful, when you bit into it, it was juicy on the inside. For dessert, we had the APPLE CRUMBLE and the ICE CREAM SUNDAE with strawberry and apricot jam topping. It was sooo dee-licious!! The ice cream on the sundae tasted like soft-serve. And the apple crumble had fresh layered apples in it, which make it taste fresh and just the right amount of sweet! Overall, this place deseves great ratings. It's like a dive restaurant that would be featured in Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives - GREAT!

Good: Nice drink selection - bonus points for having the Barley Days ale on tap! Wine selections change often and are written on the blackboard. Better: The food is tasty and features bounty from local farms. I had the tuna with tapenade, roasted tomatoes (so yum!) and butternut squash. My friend had a black bean burger (it was burger night, and the selections were quite creative. I think there's a taco night as well) with a huge salad on the side. Both were fantastic. Best: The vibe is just so homey and welcoming. Service is genuinely enthusiastic without being over the top. Zero pretentiousness (It seriously looks like an ordinary diner from the outside). I think it's pretty telling that the place was almost full on a Wednesday night - and it's not even tourist season! Do save room for the homemade desserts. Bella bistro is located west of Kingston, a decent drive from the main town. It would be a great date spot following a day on Amherst Island as it's on the way home from the ferry. Dollars: $50 for drinks, two mains and a dessert to share.

Oh jeesh this place is ah-maz-ing! Seriously delicious. I had the Thai curry chicken, and hubs had a pizza. Really good food (local sourced) and service. I am going to be back here and often. They deserve more than 5 stars.

This is our favorite for lunch and also excellent for dinner. Deserves the best reviews. Today we had the all dressed pizza with spinach salad and for dessert strawberry rhubarb crisp a la mode. We eat here often and always pleased with service. Reservations recommended for dinner. Prices very reasonable,lunch specials only $13. Good beer and local produce. Adjacent market.

From the outside, Bella Bistro didn't looked like much, but given it was packed all day Saturday, both for lunch and dinner, we figured we should give it a try. Bella Bistro is right beside a scuba dive shop, and most of the parking lot was taken by cars going to the restaurant. After an afternoon of diving, we decided to give this place a try... and we're glad we did. We ordered ribs which came with fries and salad, as well as the roasted pork tenderloin on gratin potatoes (daily special). Both were amazing. Prices were a bit higher than what we were expecting based on the outside appearance of the restaurant, but we would definitely go back next time we are in Kingston.

big fan of Bella... the food is ALWAYS fantastic...the service very friendly.. its like going to a friends place.. very comfortable. they have a good selection of wines, and the barley days on tap is a definite hit with me. highly reccommend!!

I eat here all the time and haven't been disappointed yet. Love the Spaghetti shrimp aglio and the pulled pork. Caprese salad is one of the best on this side of the atlantic. Friendly staff, local fare, kid friendly, excellent food. Awesome!

I used to work here and the working conditions were not good. The food itself was subpar. Everyone I have talked to that has dined here had a bad experience including one individual who ordered chicken and was told 20 minutes later that the chicken was sold out. The kitchen was so small that I had to prep food in the basement. Surprised it is still open.

The Carbonara pasta is out of this world! I was really impressed with the restaurant as a whole, good beer selection and great service even on a Saturday night with a full house.

Always have had a great dining experience at Bella. The food has always been awesome and the beer cold. The staff has been friendly and the colouring books for the kids is great. We'll be back again and again. The location is great as we live about 15 minutes from the west end but the parking lot is hard to get out of at busy times of the day.

The food is great but the service is excellent! If you're lucky enough to get Tara, make sure to ask her about her off the menu drinks! Best milkshakes ever!

This is a neighborhood spot that could be really good but it was disappointing. The place is super dirty...floors, booths, table tops. The server carried the pepper mill in her armpit. I have seen that twice. The food is just ok.

Always amazing food and the staff is so friendly. The daily specials are always worth trying out. The homemade soups are delicious as are the sweet potato fries.

We used to frequent this spot on weekly basis... The last three visits were awful. The meat was under cooked, the veggies were rotten, and full regular menu selection is not always available. After the third visit we called to complain about the undercooked meat we ordered for pick up. We were told the owner Kevin would call us back immediately, one week later we called back again..... Only to be received in a rude manner from him...He obviously doesn't appreciate your patronage. This restuarant was a great little local spot but has declined extremely in the past 6 months.... We won't be visiting this establishment again, and recommend Days on Front for the same style of restuarant.

Horrible food and even horrible service. Run down dining in Kingston, Ontario. Why would a server take my order and tell me after 20min that they're out of ribs? Doesn't make any sense. Once the food arrived, it was cold and overcooked. I personally don't think this restaurant should be open!
