The 13 Best Restaurants In Troy, New York

"This classic Italian bakery makes excellent pastries. We love all of their cannolis, but especially the ones with limoncello flavoring. They also have a few regional specialties, like the half moon (an upstate NY take on the black and white cookie) and radio bars, which are sort of like packaged snack cakes if they were made by actual bakers and not machines. We’ve never had a sweet treat we didn’t love from Bella Napoli, but the sleeper hit is actually their french dip sandwich. The roast beef is very thin, the bread is soft on the inside and crusty on the outside, and we would happily drink the jus like it was a cup of coffee. " - carina finn koeppicus

Old school order at the counter, and they wrap your choices in a string and its a take out location only. The food is AMAZING good, from cookies to cakes to breads. The workers were amazing and kind very quick and helpful. PARKING was bad, and there were some aggressive homeless there but other then that issue to over look the food was great and easy to get once in the store.

Google
At first when I asked about the flour they used in the Italian bread, the 1st worker simply said she didn't know. However, the thinner woman w the dark brown hair that started helping us, took the time to go in the back & ask the baker. She gets an A+ for her customer service. The bread was good, the carrot cake was really good, the canolli's could've used a little more confectionery sugar, the apple squars were good, and the mini cheesecake cups were very good. I will def go back.

This place is the PLACE! It’s a local staple. Try their “Radio Bar.” The peanut butter one is exceptional! The staff is always friendly, the shop is always clean, and it’s always a pleasure to get filled up on these goodies! This is a 10 outta 10 for locals and visitors alike.

Afternoon visit, not very busy. Two staff on hand and both asked to help but as I was a first timer I asked for some time to look. One of the staff seemed a bit annoyed with my request and when I finally asked for the cookie she didn't seem interested in good customer service. No worries, I was there for a treat not to make a friend. The place looked clean and everything looked good. My friend had a donut and a cookie and praised both. My chocolate chip cookie was good. Nice and underdone with plenty of chocolate chips but the flavor was just okay. Still, would be unfair to write a review on a single cookie so I tried a different one and it was also just good. Try it for yourself and see.

A waitress recommended this bakery. Saw it from the outside and I said this is exactly what I wanted a great Italian bakery like when i was growing up in Chicago. The cannoli was light with a touch of lemon. Cream puff was delicious and the eclair perfect! Bought a sampling of the Italian cookies and a few assorted treats. The ladies there were so helpful, wished I could of bought more to bring home on the plane to Iowa. Also prices weren't bad, very reasonable compared to what I'm used to!

Google
It is a heaven of the most amazing pastries at the most affordable price. I have added a few photos that come with prices along with the view of the bakery from different angles! I have tried eclairs, tiramisu, cheesecakes, and canoli. Everything was delish. I particularly recommend cup cheesecake! 😇

Fantastic selection! Delicious pastries and very kind staff! Absolutely the best bakery in town 😁

Google
Went on a Saturday morning. The place was not too busy but they got a steady amount of business coming in. I had to park on the street. The staff was very friendly and ready to help you out. The pastries that I purchased where all really well made and the quality is excellent. You can tell they take pride in the quality. I highly recommend them.

Yelp
Today was my first visit to the Troy location. I arrived at 630am and parked directly out front on the street. There were three staff members behind the counter. One woman helped me pick a 10 Inch vanilla cake from the cooler. I also ordered two cupcakes beautifully decorated with happy birthday pics on top. While she piped a custom message onto the cake another woman helped me pick a pound and a half of assorted cookies. The selection was massive donuts pastries cookies cakes bread the list keeps going. Total order was $56 and my coworkers were very satisfied with the treats.

Yelp
Still loving this place. You come, you buy, you eat, you smile, you love too. It's just that simple my friends. Service is always great, answering any questions with a smile. Walk in the door and smell all the goodness. You can't leave here waiting to open that delicately wrapped box of joy.

Yelp
I thought it was okay. I've gotten a lot of recommendations to check out Bella Napoli and my friend loves cannolis so I suprised him with a visit for his birthday. The Troy location is right on River St, and it wasn't too busy so we found street parking right in front. We walked in and the smell of the place alone had me excited. There was a wide variety of treats to choose from and the workers were patient as we looked around. We ended up getting different cannolis, cream puffs, and a fudge brownie. I enjoyed my chocolate chip cannoli but thought the cream puff filling would be lighter. My friend wasn't too impressed with either cannolis but was a big fan of the fudge brownie. I thought the brownie was more like a chocolate cake, we ate it with a fork. There was also a hint of something citrusy in the chocolate cannolis that was throwing us off. Overall, I did still enjoy the pastries and will probably try bella napoli again another time.

Yelp
New week new reviews! I won't stop 'til I have 100'000 reviews. Bella Napoli in Troy (believe it) is better than the one in Latham. This location is the source of all the baked items. Bella Napoli in Latham has crap, burnt stuff. Bella Napoli in Troy is the real one. This one has kind staff. Friendly attitudes - and it's bright! All the same baked goods are available. Only here at Bella Napoli in Troy: the items aren't squashed or burnt to a crisp by GenZ tweens. Almond-mousse cupcake was delicious! Review: 5

Yelp
This is the real deal especially if you're from NYC and looking for delicious Italian pastries way north of "the city". Friendly and helpful service in a clean and fragrant atmosphere. Looked like plenty of street parking in front.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Good selection, good prices. Large select of just about every kind of dessert. Takeout only. On street parking. Every time I have gone there the service has been excellent. Tell them what you want, they put it in a box, and then tie a string around it. Prices are very reasonable. Low prices and good quality baked goods are not good for my diet.
google avatar

Yelp
The cannolis and rolls are delicious. Friendly staff are patient and allow you to look if you're uncertain of what to order. Price range is decent and just nice environment overall.

Yelp
Went to Bella-Napoli Italian Bakery of Troy Inc. The counter was staffed by young women who were more interested in socializing with each other than working. The "veteran" working the counter was not much better. Anyway, I ordered a couple things but in particular, I asked for 2 jelly donuts. Got all the way home to find out I was given 2 powdered sugar donuts, not jelly. Went back to get my jelly donuts and the "veteran" employee made me give her the wrong donuts back so they could throw them out. I said you would rather throw them out then let me have them for my inconvenience? She pretended she didn't understand what I said so repeated myself and got no response. Another employee just stated she already threw them away. I do believe a smart remark was made in response to my complaint regarding the poor service received AFTER I turned to walk out the door. How convenient - wait until I turn my back so I don't hear your disrespectful comment. Way to go Bella Napoli! What the heck happened to customer service? So utterly disgraceful.

Yelp
Good little Italian bakery and the staff are very nice! The cookies are wonderful and the pasteries are also excellent

Yelp
What a hidden little treasure indeed. My girlfriend is from the area and said we must stop by for some noms. It was a great call. The butter cookies, and rainbow Italian cookies stole my heart. Decent prices, and a huge variety of goods to chose from. Staff was very helpful with suggestions when I was overwhelmed with options. Would love to go back.

Yelp
I LOVE Italian rum cake and the one I just got from there for my mothers funeral was like dry white cake. I think they forgot the rum. Normally the bottom is moist with rum. Everyone who tried it agreed. So dry.

Phyllis F.

Yelp
Being Sicilian 2nd generation here; this bakery has it all ! From the Italian cookies (my fav pignolia) to the cakes( Italian Rum Cake) , Turnovers, Raspberry Rhugala, Almond Horns, Sfogliatelle, cannolis, Biscotti, ibear claws, and one of my favorites "radio bars". Not sure why they're called that, but if you love chocolate cake and frosting with white cream middle.... This is for you!!! They even a cake like that ! They have a place in Latham too! Both are excellent and family run ! Nice to see they're still around.

Yelp
Love Bella Napoli. These are the best doughnuts in the capital region, perfectly pillowy and generously filled, I always leave with a jelly and Boston cream. The rest of their confections are a little hit or miss for me, but I grew up with radio bars and will always love them.

Yelp
Best donut in a long time!! Sick of crappy Dunkin'. These were nice and crusty on the outside / soft on the inside. Good size. Attractive. Tried the following flavors : Boston creme, cinnamon sugar, apple cider, old fashioned, chocolate with chocolate glaze, raspberry filled, glazed. The had a bunch of powdered but it ran out of space. My favorite is blueberry glazed.

Yelp
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! When in Troy and in need of something sweet, the hubbs and I set out to go to Bella Napoli. They get our business due to the later hours they are open, and the fact that there is such a great variety every time we want something sweet. I'm pretty easy to please in this area as my fav are the fudge fancies. There are always customers in the building but we never had to wait a long time before getting helped. I've taken my time looking in the cases to be sure I knew what I wanted before ordering. I've never had an issue with the service I've gotten. I will continue to give in to my sweet tooth cravings by getting my fudge fancy on at Bella Napoli.

Yelp
I love this place! I was told about it 12 years ago and have been coming back ever since. Every time I enter, especially when I am there with my wife, we walk in the doors and see the huge variety of cookies, cakes, pies, and other Italian treats and we freeze up. There are so many awesome things to get, we just cannot decide! Everything looks and tastes amazing. We especially love their cheesecake, which my wife says is the best cheesecake around. Perhaps it is ricotta based? The texture is great, and there isn't too much crust. You can get it with various toppings (strawberry, blueberry, cherry) that I assume come out of a can. Doesn't matter, though, because they are great. Their cookies are awesome, their fresh baked bread smells and tastes wonderful, and the selection is mind-blowing. I will have a little of this, and two of those, and a couple of them... It can get a little cramped at times, and it isn't located in the best of neighborhoods, but we haven't run in to trouble yet. They also have another location in Latham but strangely enough the items there don't taste as good. Perhaps because some things are made in Troy and shipped over so they get a little stale in route? Maybe because the bakers in Troy stick to the recipe more? I think it is psychological! The Latham location is nice but nothing compares to the Troy location.

Yelp
Everything there was all good. Had quite a few. Very fresh, pleasant service um and yum! Frosted brownies, cake, turnovers. Excellent

Yelp
Donuts! On my first several visits, I never even considered the donut case. It seemed a kind of sacrilege to come to a specialized Italian bakery and buy donuts. I mean... here you have cannoli, Italian cookies, and other assorted pastry you would not find in a french patisserie. Not to mention the Italian breads. All of which require the specialized skill of baking. Donuts on the other hand require masterful frying. In my mind, it's two completely separate core competencies. Although, now that I think about it cannoli shells are fried, so perhaps that is the connection. OMFG these things are good. Their cake donuts have a magnificent burnished brown crust that almost crackles when you bite into it. The interior is appropriately dense, with a fine crumb, not too sweet, with a whisper of sweet spice. And if you like them a bit sweeter, they come covered in powdered sugar, topped with chocolate, or other fine accompaniments. I would get these all the time if their yeast raised donuts weren't so good as well. Light and airy, but with a rich satisfying chewiness. And they take these yeast raised donuts and do wonderful things with fillings. Three kinds of jelly: Raspberry, blueberry and strawberry. Lemon curd. Apple. Boston cream. Of all things, their glazed donut is a bit of a disappointment. Which is a shame, because it is often the gateway donut for many people. The glaze at Bella-Napoli can be thin, which produces a rather anemic and unsatisfying experience. But putting that aside, holy sh*t these are good. The best donuts I have had out in the region by far. Some of my favorite donuts ever. I think they may be better than King Pin in Berkeley. If you can find better within a 20 mile radius of Albany, I'll buy you a dozen! And they are less expensive than Dunkin' Donuts, even when you factor in the gas to drive all the way to Troy. This weekend I made the 30+ min round trip for a dozen donuts. It is totally worth it. N. B. The Troy donuts do not suffer from the problem I experienced at the BN outpost in Latham. A little birdie told me that the Latham donuts are made in Troy and brought to the store, which could explain the whole thing.

Yelp
I live in Boston and frequently go on bakery runs to the North End, so the prices at Bella-Napoli blew my mind. EVERYTHING IS SO CHEAP. They also offer mini versions of many things; perfect for sampling. The plain cannoli filling is lemony-delicious and I really liked the French cannoli, very flaky and yummy. Based on taste and price point, this place should get a solid five stars, but the staff is pretty horrible. Ok so, it's probably not the highest paying job in the world, but I feel like it'd be pretty cool and relaxing to work at a bakery. These ladies either hated their jobs, or me, or life ... IDK. That said, I'll gladly suffer through the sourest attitude for a box of really delicious baked goods for under $10.

Kathy R.

Yelp
Both locations of this extraordinary bakery are above average and a family staple. Bella Napoli has been at all our family celebrations for decades. Dominic, the owner, has created the most positive energy which is passed down to those working behind the counter. They're all happy to be there! He is an honest, thoughtful, grateful man who values his employees, his multitude of customers who, like me, bring the spirit of both locations home. Name a pastry. Go to Bella and see if you've had better. Donuts, apple fritters, petit fours, cannoli, to name a few, are the tastiest bake shop items. I've pretty much had them all over the years. One important seasonal subject: Christmas Cookie trays!! In addition to being authentic Italian cookies, they are presented on a tray, pyramid style. Then wrapped in clear, thin, plastic type gift wrap with streams of curly ribbons. Perfect gifts, if they make it to your home. (Mine never do lol! If you need to 'break into' the beautiful presentation? I have a great hack.) Bella Napoli is like family to many of us. Try it and you'll also be a member. Love this place' a lot.

Yelp
I prefer the one in Latham because they seem to have a much bigger selection as well as the cafe but the baked goods are the same. This location is alot more convenient to my house though unless I stop on my way home from work. The bread and hardrolls are great and cheap compared to the grocery stores. Just make sure you use or freeze them in a couple days because I don't think there are any preservatives. The individual cheesecakes are a great dessert for one also.
google avatar

Yelp
Out of this world Pastrys. But very rude help. Sometimes that adds to the charm if that's what you're going for. But a fun colorful bakery doesn't need that imagine. Maybe if you were in a Hoity Manhattan neighborhood, not north Troy. Will return out of tradition and quality but will not be looking forward to it.
google avatar

Yelp
Unbelievably good. I was so surprised to find a real jewel of a bakery. I could eat me weight it there cinnamon rolls. Not too much cinnamon or too much frosting. The flavor of the roll is terrific to create the perfect blend of goodness. The coffee cake was just as good. Ours was covered in caramelized with fresh apples. I got the chocolate eclairs to finish it off. Pastry was light and flaky with a chocolate icing that was rich and flavorful. A dozen cinnamon rolls, a whole apple coffee cake and a half Dozen eclairs for less than $18. This was enough food for 8 people. If your in Troy or within 100 miles this is a must taste place.
google avatar

Misty B.

Yelp
I'd like to give them 5 stars, but customer service must be taken into account. The baked goods at this location are better than the Latham location (in my opinion), but the young lady that waited on me acted like I was putting her out by trying to give her my business. The woman working with her was incredibly friendly and helpful; the young lady could learn a lesson in customer service from her. I will go back, but I hope to have someone else assist me next time.

Yelp
Good, old fashioned Italian bakery, with modern prices. Fine scone and the cookies looked good but I didn't want to spend the calories.

Yelp
I was working a job in Troy that's over now but I really grew to love this place while I was there! my crew got coffee here every day we worked and I really like their coffee a lot, my only complaint is that their largest size is still pretty small, but the taste is great (I get cream and sugar) and the price is very fair. as for their baked goods, I've never had anything here that I didn't like!! A few things were on the average side, like their cupcakes and some of their cookies, but most things are above average. Their cake donuts were great but their jelly and boston cream donuts were about average (still better than Dunkin Donuts though), but their french crullers were amazing! I'm bummed that they don't make those every day. I really liked their Reese Pieces cookies, and their canolis are among the best I've had, the filling has a citrus flavor to it. If you're in the area stop in, you won't regret it! You're bound to find something you like! It's on the small side but the service is usually pretty good
google avatar

Caralyn S.

Yelp
I came here specifically for the lobster tails (the pastry! lol). Contrary to what I've had before, these were filled with a whipped cream instead of a custard. I don't know what is more authentic or if the filling is interchangeable, but regardless the whipped cream filling was good. If I had to pick between the two, I think I still prefer the custard filling, which I get at my bakery back in NJ. Regardless, service was fast and the lobster tail and donut I got were both very good! My husband and I enjoyed them.

Yelp
My family has been going to this barley for three generations. In fact my mother worked there. I drive over 6 hours to get treats! My favorite/ must haves are the bread rolls and fudge nut brownies. A true New York Experience! Also the they aren't expensive at all! Be prepared this is a hot spot you will have to wait in line but it is well worth it !
google avatar

Maureen S.

Yelp
I wish I could say it was great. The service was very good, very friendly counter staff! But the baked goods were not fresh . My half moon cookie was hard and there's just no excuse for that. I sure hope they survive.
google avatar

Regular G.

Yelp
Ok, so I go, and each time hope that it gets better for me. And.........(wait for it)........nope! I mean its serves its purpose, and people rave about it, but I just don't see the quality of the artistry of flavors that I'm looking for. In all honesty, it tastes like everything is from the same pastry batch. I did have one good canoli out of there, but all the other times that I've been, way too much of a lemony flavor to the canoli filling. Cakes, meh not moist enough. Ice Cream Cake, meh, at least its not a traditional type ice cream cake, but I'd rather have a store bought Carvel. Overall, if you have the time, hit up Villa Italia in my opinion. There is one thing that gets me at this place though....the butter rolls. 5 STARS for them. They're probably the best rolls I've ever tasted and really think that I can eat them all them time. I actually buy them for our dinners, they're fantastic. You have to go for them, I take it back, I'll give them three stars, saved by the rolls!
google avatar

Bob R.

Yelp
This was my place of solace when I attended RPI. On weekends I would walk here and get cannolis, cookies, and pizza dough. The only reason I didn't 5-star it was because I always thought there might be some lard in there. Being a vegetarian and loving the pastries so much, I operated on a "Don't ask / Don't tell" policy. I showed Bella Napolli to a friend who had a car. He said, "Why did you show me a place with canollis this good? now I'll get fat". I told him that our policy should be that we only walk there, that way we can't bring back much.

Yelp
Bella makes great donuts, they even use real sugar instead of the powdered stuff, that goes everywhere. Love those, also the Boston Cremes - anything without the powder or glaze. I was unimpressed by the cannolis, but I am not sure it was because Bella makes poor cannolis, rather it may just be that I don't like cannolis. They make serving size cookies, and they are pretty good so far.I also enjoyed the danishes. By contrast, the bread was not that good.
google avatar

Katie V.

Yelp
Mixed. The chocolate roll was dry and not very chocolatey. The oatmeal raisin cookie was delicious and buttery. The cannoli was unimpressive. My husband raved over the apple pastry, though. I think I just didn't pick the right things, alas. Next time. Person behind the counter seemed very offended that we dared enter on a Saturday evening. Having worked in retail, I can relate, but don't rush me when I'm picking out something sweet, okay?
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for dessert while visiting town of Troy, NY we found this place. They have a HUGE selection of pastries, cakes & cookies. We chose a slice of peanut butter pie & a slice of turtle cheesecake to go. Imagine my surprise when the teenage employee slapped the two slices together & threw them In a paper bag! I asked if she had something else to put it in. She rudely asked "you want a box?" Well since I've never eaten cheesecake out of a paper bag that was a better option! The cake was ok but service was not. We'll pass next time we're in town.

Yelp
My fiancé and I just moved to this area in December and we are stumbling upon new places every weekend! We prefer supporting local businesses rather than the big chains. Today we took a drive and found this bakery. My fiancé was craving chocolate cake but when we walked in and saw the selection we had to sample a few different things. We tried the rum ball, cannoli and a pastry with raspberry and poppy seeds. They were all amazing!!! I loved the pastry. It wasn't too sweet and had a soft chewy texture I enjoyed. The cannoli was great and tasted like it had a hint of lemon. The girls behind the counter were polite and patient when we couldn't make up our minds. We also got the chocolate cake which we'll try after dinner. The prices were also fantastic! We only spent $11 and got 4 items, one of which was a whole cake! This is definitely a local treasure we will visit again!

Yelp
A nice bakery but nothing really exceptional in the way of pastries and cookies.

Yelp
Finally, I had a friendly worker assist me today, without me having to drag a smile, comment or assistance from her. I've been going to this bakery location for some years, seeing some of the same unfriendly assistants. However, the nice & helpful worker today, I'd never seen her before. This was the first time it was a pleasure buying from there. I could see one of the very unfriendly workers looking out through the double door windows into the bakery. I thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate covered plain donuts I bought and other goodies. I had never bought that kind before, Now, they're my favorite! Because of the service today, I chose to vote higher than a 2. Perhaps it will get higher with better and more consistent customer service. Thank you.

John S.

Yelp
This bakery is basically for people that don't care if they get fresh goods or don't have the means to get to a better bakery. The extensive selection and low turnover almost insure you'll be getting stale goods. I recently returned stale hot cross buns to a less-than-enthusiastic mature blonde woman and also recall returning a cannoli with a hair in it. "I never saw that before!", laughed the woman behind the counter before replacing it without even an apology. Unfortunately, I dealt with the same older blonde just tonight and she became visibly annoyed when she had to switch box sizes mid-order to accommodate my items. I only go here as little as possible and only at the behest of my elderly mom who used to be a regular customer. Price Chopper's newer stores have fresher goods as well as a much friendlier staff. Basically, avoid this place if you have any "standards" whatsoever.
google avatar

Natalia L.

Yelp
Def an above average place. If you want a regular main stream treat or bread go to Walmart. This place is not for the average consumer. They have amazing fresh baked goodies everyday. The half n half cookies are my sons favorites. Great service, amazing aromas, and great prices. Thanks a million!

Yelp
Best jelly donut in the history of the universe. Well worth the 3,000-mile trip.

Yelp
My review is strictly based on the Troy location as I have always had a good experience at the Latham location. I stopped in today (Easter) to pick up some pastries, and was not shocked that there was a bit of a wait. That was fine because it is a holiday and I expected it to be busy. What I did not expect however, was that the woman who took care of me would be so rude while she waited on me. Just prior to my turn, the woman was flirting and carrying on with many of the male patrons, but once I needed to be served, she became a bit more cold shoulder. She asked me how much I needed, and since I was unsure of the exact amount of pastries, I said I needed a larger box. I also know that often certain pastries do not go in the boxes with everything else, and certain things get separated, so I did not know exactly what number to tell her since I did not know what would end up in the one box. After I said a large box, she again asked me how many items I would be getting. And I said I wasn't sure of the exact, but started to tell her what some of the items I was getting were, which were some of the larger pastries, so she would know I needed a larger sized box. Very rudely she told me she needed a number, so I finally blurted out about a dozen and a half, even though I still was unsure how many everything would work out to. I started to tell her the things I was looking to get, and there were a few times I apparently did not have the right name for things. I typically go to another place, where some of the names are a little different and that is what I was used to calling things. When I would mention the alternate name for a pastry she would snap at me that they do not carry that. I felt very rushed by the woman and felt like she was trying to blow me off anyway, and ended up not getting everything I had intended to get upon arrival. I understand that it was Easter, and the place was very busy, and the workers probably felt very rushed, and had probably had people yell at them all morning, however, when you work in any customer service business, you should give each new customer a good experience, despite your own feelings. Not to mention, the cookies were very dry and not up to par with how well they usually are when I pick them up at the Latham location. Obviously from now on I will only be going to that particular store, if I continue to use Bella Napoli at all.

Yelp
Large selection, cheap prices and convenient hours (open till 10!). As the other reviewers have said, the goods are decent though when combined with the affordable prices, I think they are a good deal. I like their italian bread but you can just as easily get that from Price Chopper. Strangely, I thought I could get it fresher from the store but that didn't really turn out to be the case.

Yelp
I realize it is the day after Mother's Day but I went in just for a few cupcakes to take to my granddaughter who was turning 3. I asked if they had any chocolate frosted cupcakes and was told no. I asked if they had anything other than Mother's Day for cupcakes and the response was ' That's why they are 3 for a $1' with a very snippy attitude. I had never asked about price, didn't care about the price. I looked at the snippy young woman and said 'Never mind, I will go to Hannaford's where at least they will be nice.' I don't care if the food is good, if they have a lousy attitude there are a lot of other places to buy from. Maybe the one in Latham the workers are nice but this is not the first time the girls at the Troy location have been rude. I will never go back again although it is just down the street from where I work.

Yelp
First off, I see a few reviewers here who also say they were treated rudely like the old hag and little twerp working there were annoyed to have to come out and wait for you on a dead weekend evening. Same here too. I can't believe how they treated my aunty until they realized she was with me. I wanted to scream at them even though they were all nice to me, maybe because I'm a young guy? But my aunty told me let it pass. So here's what happened: I dropped my aunt off in the middle of the evening to pick up some things. There was an older wavy brown haired woman and a younger dark blonde or light brown girl with a ponytail. These two were in the back and pissed they had to come out and were so pissy to my aunty. My aunty is like the sweetest person and didn't want me to even say anything. When i went in they were all nice to me. The nasty older women was like "Well, hello!" WHATEVER BEAST! Usually this place is ok but I haven't dealt with these two before.

Yelp
I went in to this bakery hoping for the warm loving environment I used to get back in Brooklyn from the local Italian bakeries. I went in to get a small birthday cake with a few of my friends but was sorely disappointed. The people who were at the counter seemed disinterested and it seemed like they were giving us dirty looks. One of the ladies (after about 5 minutes) rudely asked if we were ready to order, but did not offer any suggestions when it clearly seemed like we were struggling to make a decision. I ended up just getting a cookie because I felt bad not getting something. It was only okay. Not the best cookie I've had. I probably won't be returning.

Yelp
After hearing so much about this place, we went to get some cannoli. I was disappointed that the cannoli are not fresh, they're sitting there already filled. Still searching for some amazing fresh cannoli in the Capital District.

Yelp
This is the only place to go for éclairs and cannolis in the capital district. Whether Troy or Latham, both are the same. Family owned. Half moon cookies are also the best in the area. They have fantastic sub rolls not usually out front, ask about them. They are the same sub rolls that are used at many restaurants and other sub locations.
