TL;DR: mediocre oven-fired pizza at best, and probably on par with pizza I've had from a box or the wood fired pizza in my college's dining hall. I feel like I overpaid.
I love good pizza, and as a vegetarian, I love places that serve creative vegetarian options. Bella certainly looked like that, so I grabbed my middle school brother after school and came here.
Food: every other review raved about the hummus pizza, so I got that. My brother had the 6" cheese pizza, which, as small as it sounds, was actually about the 3/4 the size of mine but only cost $5. The kids' options are limited to cheese and ham, but I would recommend those who find the personal pizzas a bit big to try the kid size.
I got there at a relatively busy time and was quoted a 20 minute wait, but our pizzas came out in about 8 minutes. Maybe that explains why both were lukewarm, like they'd been sitting around already cooked and were just brought out. My hummus pizza was very, very mediocre. The nuts and hummus were a nice combination, but there was nothing complex or special about the flavor. It was as if I had gotten hummus from a nice grocery store, spread it on a toasted whole wheat crust and chopped up some almonds on top. As a result, the pizza as a whole was pretty dry; some other reviews have photos of hummus pizza with olive oil on top, so maybe that's what I was missing. Together, my pizza had the combined flavor of, well, hummus and bread with occasional bites of nuts.
I took some of my little brother's cheese pizza because it was warmer and more savory than mine, and it was also just ok. As comparison, I bought myself a three cheese thin crust pizza the other night and baked it in the oven for 15 minutes and ate it. When I think back on that pizza vs the one my brother had, I vastly preferred the boxed to the one from Bella.
Price: For two, I paid almost $16, but probably would have been better off staying home and baking my own thin crust from a grocery store.
