This place has great food and is great for any occasion or special event. Our server Colin was great and had some very good recommendations for food. I asked if they had any pasta with a vodka based sauce and he mentioned they can put something together, and it was very good. The starters were okay, but the main courses were all great. All their pastas are good, and their chicken piccata is by far one of the best I’ve ever had. Besides the place being very small and everyone sitting next to each other, the food makes up for it and so does the service. I’ll definitely come again.

Went there to celebrate birthday. Amazing service, beautiful ambiance, great wine selection, and most importantly delicious food. All sauces are homemade. The only challenge is to find a away to improve the ventilation system as every 20-30 minutes we had a wave of the food smell coming out of the kitchen, which is not nice to have stuck on your clothes when you leave. I will defiantly go back after lent to try their meat options.

Excellent Italian food. Be sure to call and make reservations well in advance as they are always busy. Great wine selections as well. Eggplant antipasti, pasta, and affogato were our favorites.

Went for date night with siblings and their spouses. A small cozy restaurant. It was very packed. We were seated immediately for a Saturday night. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. He was attentive too. The manager also came up to check on us in between which was nice. We ordered few appetizers which were really good. Out of all the entrees every one loved what I order and it was the baked chicken. It was very juicy and nicely flavored. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Only reason I deducted a star was because of the space issue. Everything else was perfect.

I was given “2 hours” before they needed the table back. After 90 minutes, we had finished our entrees which had come out slowly. Service was mediocre and had to even ask for water glass to be refilled. Upon finishing our entrees the waiter asked “is there anything else you need before you head out?’ Stunned, I said maybe dessert and coffee? Strange for an upscale restaurant to send customers off without offering dessert/ coffee. Because I was trying to be mindful of the time limit imposed on us, for the next 30 minutes, I felt anxious. After 20 minutes the coffee finally arrived but still no dessert. Not only is nice when the coffee and dessert arrive simultaneously, my spouse had already finished his coffee and the dessert still hadn’t arrived. With 10 minutes left, on the clock I flagged down the waiter who then went to find out what happened to the dessert. If you want me to respect your time, respect mine. Once our time was up, the host came himself to collect our check (after seeing he and the hostess whispering and eyeing our table). Not a nice way to finish what should have been a relaxing dinner. Either hire more staff or retrain your staff. Disgraceful.

My wife and I recently moved to the area, and Bella Piatti came highly recommended. We decided to try it for our date night, and it exceeded all our expectations. The food was incredible. We enjoyed the Garganelli Alla Umbra, Tiger Shrimp Marsala, clam linguine, and bread pudding. Each dish was perfectly prepared and delicious. The drinks were equally impressive, with the Negroni and Manhattan being top-notch. The service was outstanding. Andrea, our server, had a warm spirit and made us feel right at home. Bella Piatti is a must-visit for anyone in Birmingham. Definitely our new favorite spot!

Had reservations set months ago!! I e were seated right away! Amazing selection of wines and cocktails. Dinner was made to perfection, tender and juicy. I had the bronzino fish we also had a filet. They were both full of flavor explosions!! Dessert was gelato w espresso poured over. Amazing. We will be back!

Bella Piatti consistently delivers delicious food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. They are even accommodating to my wife's creative orders. The owner, management, and servers are all kind and genuine, which adds to the overall positive experience. We always have a memorable experience here!
