Bella was, for me, the right place at the right time. We were on our way to a show at the Alberta Rose Theater in the next block, and were looking for something that would be quick enough to get to the show with enough lead time to snag good seats.
Bella delivered - we split their large green salad and a calzone. The salad was great, with greens that were a substantial step up from iceberg, plenty of dressing, and a nice mix of onions and chickpeas (we asked them to hold the peppers).
It was the calzone, however, that I found to be the standout. A lot of places, if they have calzones at all, tend to have them premade, usually with at least one ingredient that I don't like. Bella, however, makes them to order, with your choice of three toppings. Yay! Our choice of pork sausage, mushroom, and caramelized onion (thank you to the lady at the counter that offered onion options when we ordered) came with the perfect amount of melty cheese to make me happy. It sometimes seems that only me and Ben, from Parks and Rec, are fans of the calzone. But, if you're part of the tribe as well, I highly recommend a visit to Bella.
