Had breakfast at this amazing spot with a killer view of Charles Bridge and Prague Castle — felt like I was eating in a postcard 😍 The food was great, but honestly, it was the view that stole the show…. couldn’t have asked for a better start to the day. I arrived early at around 830 am.. not too crowded, and perfect for just soaking in the city before the crowds hit. Highly recommend if you want an early breakfast with a view.

We stayed in Prague for 3 days and went to Bella Vida café everyday. The coffee is unreal (definitely go there if u actually appreciate good coffee), the food is delicious and the staff is super nice. The place is also super cute and cozy. I highly recommend it.

Bella Vida Café is a cozy gem along the Vltava River, perfect for a relaxing break in Prague. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with charming decor and a laid-back vibe that makes you want to linger. The coffee is excellent—rich, smooth, and expertly brewed—and their breakfast and brunch options are just as impressive. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and generous portions make every dish a treat. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the location near Charles Bridge adds to the overall charm. Whether you’re looking for a quiet morning coffee, a leisurely brunch, or just a nice spot to unwind, Bella Vida is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful moment in the heart of the city!

Fantastic breakfast! The filtered coffee was the best coffee I had in Prague. The 3 eggs and ham tasted amazing and the yogurt bowl with fruit was delicious. 😊

Google
We were there for a breakfast before our departure. Very well-designed and sincere staff. They have salty and sweet options for breakfast. The food was good too and classic. The position is fantastic :)

Google
The location and interior of the restaurant were lovely, and our breakfast plates were excellent. I highly recommend trying the Eggs Florentine. You can enjoy your coffee while taking in the river view, although you don’t see the full view from inside. The restroom was clean and spacious, and the hand lotion was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the fruit juices were freshly squeezed.

We arriver around 4pm so it was quiet but still a nice vibe. Shame it was too cold to sit out as the tables have a lovely view. Food was fresh and nicely presented. Lots of delicious looking cakes. I tried the caramel cake which was very nice. Staff very friendly.

We only got some cold to drink so i can’t say anything about the food. The drinks were exactly as expected, good, and the waitress was sweet and accommodating and she spoke perfect English. Yelp
This place was absolutely wonderful for breakfast. We enjoyed the brie, bacon, and salad--it was delicious, kind of like an American grilled cheese. The crêpes with banana and Nutella were also fantastic. We ordered Americano coffees and took in the lovely view. The service was great, and the place was very clean.

Yelp
It's difficult to have a bad time when one is in Prague, relishing a gorgeous early fall morning; savoring breakfast in a charming cafe along the Vltava. The interior is adorable, too, but we chose to sit outside. Blankets are provided to help with the chill. The omelette is simple yet hearty, and comes with a thick slice of bread. The crepes with Nutella & banana are decadent and delicious. The ambiance along the river provides a perfect setting to sip one's cappuccino. What a lovely start to our day!

Yelp
We were a group of 5 people trying to find somewhere for breakfast. We had tried two other restaurants and were turned away. My sister called Bella Vida and they said the could seat us right away. We walked in and it was the cutest restaurant with lots of table types and chairs. We were seated at a low coffee table with lounge chairs and a sofa. We were greeted quickly and menu's brought. The menu was decently sized with good options. We all ordered drinks and main dishes as well as croissants. Everything was amazing. My omelette with bacon and croissant with jam and Nutella were a perfect way to start the day. The croissant to my surprise was served hot and crisp. It was heavenly. I also had a current soda that paired so well with my breakfast. My son who is picky loved this place. It was on of his favorite meals of our entire trip. This kid is picky about eggs and doesn't care for croissants and he devoured every bit of his omelette and then over half of my croissant. The location was perfect and had a nice view of the river to enjoy after the meal. It was absolutely wonderful!

Yelp
One of the best breakfasts I have ever had and easily the best I have had in Europe. We had a larger group and needed a restaurant in the area we were walking in and I stumbled upon Bella Vida. So happy we did! The setting is so cute. It is set up like you are sitting in either a living room or dining room in a home but it is a restaurant with multiple tables in each room. My nephew loved it. We basically sat around a coffee table and ordered so much food that the table was full! I had amazing butter scrambled eggs and the best croissant I have ever had. I got sick in France and missed a great looking breakfast with fresh croissants and was super bummed but the ones at Bella Vida made up for it. They are served warm with jam and Nutella. My gosh they were great! Everything was lovely! The service was impeccable and the scenery was great. You walk outside and you are on the river. It is so amazing. A wonderful breakfast and experience!

Yelp
Located in the Mala Strana side of Prague, this place has lovely views of the Vltava River and a cozy old town ambience. We got some cappuccinos and also tried the eggs benedict which was delicious and was served over a soft pillowy slice of bread. Not sure if the staff spoke English as our interaction was limited and I will say that the seating situation was confusing, we weren't aware that it was first come first serve and you just walk in to find an open table. Consequently, we found ourselves waiting expectantly to be seated.

Yelp
Wonderful and relaxing location. I went for breakfast, enjoyed a cappuccino before having an eggs Benedict. The atmosphere was so enjoyable, sitting on the river, I had another cappuccino before leaving. Would definitely return!

Yelp
The food was amazing, and the location is great. There was also great art on the wall inside. The service was fast as well. This is a must try restaurant. I'll definitely be going back.

Yelp
The food was sooooo delicious I'd come back again and try their shrimp spaghetti! Breakfast is served til noon.

Yelp
Great cafe right next to the river. The food was delicious! The staff was attentive and helpful in recommendations.

Yelp
A great water view cafe, certainly much better than the ones recommended by Rick Steves. Located just a short walk from the castle, there are several outdoor tables where you can sit and enjoy the sights of the river and watch the knots of tourists surge their way across the old charles bridge. The fruit juices looked delicious, although we opted for the coffees instead. They make an excellent flat white. The menu is small (as it is a cafe) but the items that we had were pretty good. The tuna sandwich came with a small lightly seasoned salad and an egg in the sandwich, which I actually really enjoyed. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience to sit by the water in a relatively low tourist area, and eat good food at a reasonable price. I almost hate to see this place overrun with people, but I also feel like people should know this is one of the better water view options.

Yelp
Lovely cafe right along the river. Service was fast and very courteous. The Eggs Benedict was arguably the best I've ever had. Also have great views of the Charles Bridge right outside. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This was a great spot upon landing in Prague. My friends and I were about to start a nice walk around Mala Strana. We hadn't really searched for places to eat when we planned out trip, but we knew we wanted to start at the bottom of Kampa Park. We were happily surprised to find this laid back, library / cafe. The decor fits the old, European style of Prague. Every table was different...as if they found a table here and there from different antique stores, which gave this place a lot of character. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming. They had a good coffee selection...from cafe, cafe lattes, to espressos and flat whites. They also had a nice two page food menu...unfortunately, by the time we arrived, most of their main entrees were already sold out. They did have cold dishes - salads and sandwiches, which were both beautiful in presentation and delicious in taste. If they only served these cold dishes...they would still do really well. The music was very chill. Some American oldies, and some European / Czech songs. My friends and I didn't get to explore the library section, but we did see a couple of locals just sipping on coffee while they read a book or worked on their laptop. Wish there was a place like this back in my hometown in Queens, NY, USA. Would highly recommend this place to start off your day...or as a rest stop to rejuvenate yourself for the rest of the afternoon!

Yelp
We stopped into this cafe and immediately loved the ambiance. Such a cute place. We ordered mochas and Irish coffees- excellent drinks! I ordered the open faced sandwich with avocado and poached eggs which was absolutely delicious. We ended up hanging out here for a few hours and plan on stopping back in. Edit: stopped back for breakfast this morning, and WOW. The French toast and eggs benedict were so good. Wish I could eat here every morning!

Yelp
A very nice coffee place with cosy atmosphere and amazing coffee and hot wine. I love to be coming here in summer when they have the seats outside with the view of the river as well as in winter when it's cold outside and you walk in, feeling the warmth and homy atmosphere. Definitely try their sweets!
google avatar

Yelp
A great place for breakfast - the healthy option of granola with: yoghurt, almonds, sliced banana, blueberries & raspberries was delightful. The orange juice was freshly squeezed (not from a carton or from concentrate) We also tried the poached eggs - two come perfectly cooked and presented nicely in a cocktail glass sprinkled with salt & fresh chives, along with fresh sour dough bread - absolutely yummy. The Vienna sausage is basically a frankfurter - so can't go wrong with that. Coffees were wonderful!

Yelp
This cafe is very nice and romantic. We had a brunch there, no reservation needed - and that is a huge plus. Good coffee and nice Healthy Breakfast. I liked this café better that Savoy.

Yelp
Good food and very nice atmosphere. Is definitely mor of a touristy place than local flavor but by no means a tourist trap. Service is a bit slowly, mainly because they are understaffed. But worth a try, if nothing else to compare to the other restaurants in the area.

Yelp
I had a horrible time in Bella Vida cafe. I sat with my girlfriend to have a coffee. While we were looking at the menu I drank a sip of water from my bottle. The waiter came to scold us: "That's not nice" he said. We explained that it's just water. He felt equally offended. I just think it's plain ridiculous. We stood up and went to a nice cafe just around the corner where we were treated with respect. One star from someone who is not spending a single KR in their cafe. Good luck yelling at customers.

Yelp
This is very close to me for studying, which is nice. It can be hard to snag a seat, but when you do it is lovely. It is very homey with nice lighting. The service and food are great. It is a bit more expensive than other cafes I have been too, but nice nonetheless. I felt comfortable and full. I just had a mocha (decent, would have liked a little more kick to it), the minestrone soup (light but nice), and their bread which was very good. I'd go back! Maybe for a full meal instead of a study session cause the full plates looks appealing (especially the cakes).

Yelp
Wonderful, perfect food after a great tour of the old Jewish area. Service was impeccable. I had the avocado and poached egg on toast with a latte and my husband had the hummus and roasted vegetable on toast with a beer they brew on site. We ate very last bite! Extremely clean bathrooms and the restaurant itself was spotless. Perfect, non-touristy spot. Must go!!!

Yelp
We stopped in here on a walk and it was a great surprise. The place is a very cozy with comfy chairs and tables, even books to read. After being around so many tourist throughout Prague this was a quiet place to have a relaxing coffee. We only had the coffee and a hot chocolate but would definitely come back. The menu looked great. We were also impressed by the very nice waitress.

Yelp
We wanted to eat breakfast at Café Savoy, 100 meters away, but they were full and we ended up walking a bit around to find something that suited us. We came by this little gem, Bella Vida, that is located in a basement. Nice? You bet it is. The atmosphere was cozy and so was the interior design. Old and antique, but with a good taste. Service was spot on. The breakfast was simple, but absolutely delicious. High in quality. We had breakfast plates, eggs, juices, lemonades, coffee, tea and everything was really good.

Yelp
The service and the food were wonderful. We had just finished hiking through the woods near the castle and walked to the river were we found this cafe. The soup and dessert were delicious. The atmosphere was perfect to relax for a light meal.

Yelp
I was here several times for different purposes and I liked it every single time. I was here once for studying and it has also more silent spots in the back of the café and of course free wifi. This time I tried their home-made lemonades and can recommend both sorts. Another time I was here for breakfast wirh friends and we had a great time with fresh orange juice and great coffee (do not take the drip coffee). The omelette was really delicious as were the pancakes. Except they had too much caramel sauce and fruit sauce. The cakes were fine as well as my friends told me. Third time I was here for warming up after a cold visit of the castle of prague and had a well-served fresh mint tea and an apple strudel. Both were really fine and a friend of mine had one of the sandwiches and really liked them. The café combines old and comfortable furniture with open space which I do appreciate. The staff was sometimes confused but always friendly and that's the most important part for me. I think I will visit this place a few more times because I like the furniture, the prices are fine and the food and coffees are really great

Yelp
Bellavida is a cosy and cute café/restaurant near Kampa park next to river Vltava which makes it perfect for some relaxing after a walk around the city. The breakfast omelette is delicious and they also serve a variety of homemade lemonades and fresh juice.

Yelp
Ordered the English Breakfast and it was a delicious variety of breakfast foods. Everything tastes great and it was very filling

Yelp
This café is really cute, with a great outdoor view by the river. The service is decent and pleasant, even if not the most attentive. When I ordered my meal, the waiter forgot to bring the butter to accompany my bread and pressed OJ that I had ordered with it. I had to approach the cashier/bar to request these fixes, and another waiter was quick to help and offer an apology. :) I ordered a mushroom and cheese omelette, and it was fine. It's a normal omelette. Nothing wrong but nothing highly notable either. It's quite big though, so it's a filling brunch. I recommend their orange juice; it's fresh, and you can definitely tell! Go for the happy, sunny vibes this place excudes. Plus, free wifi!
google avatar

Yelp
I come here for breakfast every day when I am in Prague. The food and coffee are amazing.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
Beautiful location, right on the water. Food is quite good, and the flavored lemonades are delicious. Quiet and cozy atmosphere, perfect for students who need a place to grab a coffee and study.
google avatar

Belinda F.

Yelp
Total hidden gem. Even though it's right near the busy tourist center, it's always been pretty open with free tables when I've gone, even on the weekend brunch. Lots of mismatched antique furniture which gives it a comfortable (if a little grandma-ish) atmosphere. Small kids corner and friendly service. Nice seating right on the river. It's not cheap but it's way cheaper than you'd expect considering it's location.

Yelp
Absolutely love Bella Vida! They have the best coffee in Prague! We went for breakfast and had their yogurt with fresh fruit and granola. Delicious and light. The service was excellent! A definite go to place for me!

Yelp
The food is awesome, best among our 14 days in east Europe! Waiter is nice too. Would definitely recommend friends to come!

Maddie H.

Yelp
I had breakfast there with 4 other people and everyone loved what they had! I had the english breakfast and exchanged the fried eggs for scrambled ones and it was all super delicious. The smoothies were chunky and warm, but not too bad. The mango lemonade was delicious though and not too sweet and had a touch of sparkling water to it! My total was about $11, so it was on the more expensive side, but it was worth it.
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
Had a great breakfast here. We ordered hot chocolate, fresh-squeezed orange juice, a mushroom omelet, and the strawberry crepes. everything was amazing and so delicious! The portions are smaller here than a typical American place, so if you're really hungry, order the English breakfast.

Yelp
Super slow, bad service, food is too little consider the price. I was waiting for 20 min still didn't get even menu, I have to go and get myself, and when i asked, said a simple yogurt need 30 half to prepare.
