South Loop’s Roosevelt Collection to Add New Italian Restaurant - Eater Chicago

"Most recently, he worked in Florida at Bella Vita in Fort Myers. The life of a Florida man wasn’t for Serratore. He said the pace was slow and he yearned to be back in bustling Chicago." - Ashok Selvam

The food and atmosphere are great. Located in the center of downtown. The cook is from Sicily, and you can tell that from the menu options, as well as the taste. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants good food at a great location

Google
Reviews for this restaurant were good so we decided to try it. Our server was knowledgeable and professional. We had Calamari and it was great. The Bolognese was average. Would have liked granted cheese but it was not offered. We would probably return but it's average to me.

Google
Such an incredible place! A hidden gem that is drastically underrated! Everything we had from wine through dessert was American sized portions with the delicate artistry of true Italian food for prices that I’ve never found anywhere else. This is fine dining on the smallest of budgets. So, if you’re just out for a casual night or looking for a place you should really dress up to go, this place is your answer. Kind staff and owners. I never write reviews but I could rave about this place all night. Give it a chance, you won’t be disappointed!

This was our first visit to this restaurant. I must say my wife and I found everything delicious. We started out with the mussels. They came out hot and the broth was like a good soup. Next we shared the beet salad with goat cheese. It was a large portion nicely presented and again it was prepared perfectly. For dinner I had the veal parmigiana with pasta and marinara sauce and my wife had the chicken Marcella. Both done homemade. The staff was friendly , even the owners came over to check on us. We are from Naples and could not believe how reasonable the pricing was, how large the portions. It was a great evening and a rare find. We will make this restaurant our go to Italian restaurant. One last thing , we are from the Boston area and eat often in NYC little Italy and Boston’s North End and we know cannolis, but their cannolis are to die for. We even took home a dozen. Best ever!

I went there for the first time with 7 other friends for a "girls night out". I made reservations and they sat us at a great table out side. Our waitress Ashley was wonderful. Everyone raved about the food, including me. Michael the cook and owner came out to check on us which was very nice.. Just a couple of reasons I did not give a higher rating, first, they ran out of Merlot wine and substituded with another red saying it was merlot, and lastly, we all had problems with our bill. I won't go into detail, but remember to look at it good so you don't over pay. Being a new restaurant has it's start up glitches, so will certainly give it another go!

Google
Food is great, prices not bad but the service is terrible. Some of the employees are unkept and slow. The new employees are from the 86 Room; like we wouldn't know thats where they came from. If you have more than two people in your party, make sure you have four hours to eat dinner. Got a table fast but it took longer than an hour to get our food. Too bad, we really need a good Italian Place downtown. This guy needs to fix his front and back staff.

Kristina W

Google
Waitress didn't speak English and didn't understand anything. Took 2-1/2 hours to get our food that came out and we were walking out the door to leave. The food then it finally came out was good except for the meatballs which were horrible. Bruchettea, eggplant parmesan, and the mussels were delicious. Calamari was ok, a little undercooked and the meat sauce on the meatballs was plain with no flavor with the meatballs themselves having a undesirable flavor and texture to the meat. Owner was very kind and tried to accommodate us and Bartenders were efficient and very friendly which is the reason I'm giving two stars instead of one.

Yelp
My husband and I came to the west coast to visit my best friend who moved to Cape Coral. We met up in Downtown Fort Myers for our first night in and this was the first spot she took us too - and we loved it! Firstly, it already looks great walking up to it. Has a cute porch with string lights and I could see that there was a rooftop area. Upon walking in, we were able to be seated right away and there was live music going on and they were really great! Their cocktail menu looked amazing and I chose the Hi Barbie! Hi Barbie! and to my surprise, it came with a super cute little pink cowboy hat on top! The drink itself was really good! My friend ordered the corn ribs and I had no idea what that meant. But when they came and I tried them, they were so good. Tiny little corn "ribs" (on the cob). I loved them! She also ordered the fried green tomatoes with burrata. Wow!! For entree, I ordered the Double Tap (2 smash burger patties) and it was delicious!! I got that with a side of the smoked gouda mac (YUM!!!). My husband ordered the Chickity China (he loves General Tso's and this sandwich had the sauce) and he really enjoyed it! He got it with a side of the sweet potato tots and they were good! (but borderline dessert tasting lol) The vibe inside was super cool and chill, our servers were fantastic and we were never waiting very long before our food or more drinks came out. All in all, this was a great first stop and it was just so unique and different from most other places! We hope to be able to visit again soon!

Yelp
Food 3/5: order the Nashville, fried chicken and biscuits with gravy. First off the chicken was kind of soggy in the sauce that covered the chicken was gritty. I'm not quite sure if it's the sugar, but I suspect that it's the sugar that was never fully dissolved into the sauce so it was gritty. The chorizo gravy was flavorless. The biscuits were soft, but it didn't give a biscuit feel there doesn't seem to be any layers like a typical biscuit has. The flavors were good however I don't think it was executed very well. But definitely would like to try other options. Service 5/5: friendly staff, and quick to get food Ambiance 5/5: very cute place with a bar. I think that you should dress up. It's so cute if you go on a girls date here.

Yelp
Good and service tops! Fried bologna sandwich and french onion soup were delicious! Great seating indoors or patio dining.

Yelp
It's been a while since I have been to 10 Twenty Five and once again they did not disappoint. Jessie and Joelle were amazingly attentive bartenders. They treated every customer so well... .even as they got busy. I had the Chopped Pub Salad with grilled shrimp with blue cheese dressing and it was great! I love the laid back vibe of this place and that, along with the consistently delicious food makes it a go to in downtown Fort Myers! Great job Jessie and Joelle! I had a great time!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great job on the menu. Everything looks delicious but the big mik was by far the absolute best thing in my 3 day stay in Fort Myers. Excellent service by everyone, but the hostess was my waiter and she was phenomenal.
google avatar

Samantha A.

Yelp
Walking into this establishment, felt like I was taken to a dive bar on the waterfront. The music was great, and the staff was accommodatable to turn it down for me. The new menu options are absolutely delectable with a perfect sweet and salty combo for after church delight.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot is always a go to! The menu changes every few months so there's always something a little different to try. I loved the chili garlic green beans and the Chinese inspired chicken sandwich. My boyfriend had the smash burger and fries which was also delicious Good vibes at the bar upstairs and the front patio is always a nice spot to enjoy the weather with a beer
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food, fast and delicious. I wasn't sure how good this was going to be so I got take out but wow this was amazing and had a lot more flavor than I expected. Very clean restaurant and wasn't overly packed! The Chickity China Chicken Sandwich was amazing
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Came on a Saturday night, there was about a 20 minute wait but, we asked if we could put our name in for an hour so we could get a drink elsewhere and the hostess said no problem. It's a 2 story restaurant in a courtyard facing other restaurants. We sat upstairs on the balcony and it was a really fun environment. I got a key lime pie cocktail and it was amazing!! For food - we split elote wings, a salad, and a bbq sandwich. The wings were good but $15 for 6 wings is too much, it should be $12 for 6 or $15 for 8. Salad was good - had bacon and goat cheese, only recommendation would be to add some kind of toasted nut. The bbq beef sandwich was amazing - it had Mac and cheese on it and the bread was grilled! Loved it. Service was quick and friendly too. Overall, everything was great and I'd definitely go back!!

Yelp
Its no famous Dave's bread pudding. Doesn't even come close. Also viewers be warned... They charge a federal tax % plus a 3.5% fee if you use a credit card. What a joke!
google avatar

Laurie F.

Yelp
This is a cool spot downtown fort myers right next to the courtyard area. There's side and outside seating, we sat outside for lunch. Both cocktails we ordered were delicious and adorable. The food was also really good we had the hamburger egg rolls and a bbq sandwich with collard greens both great flavors. The service was good too as it was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon. I will go back when I'm visiting again :)

Yelp
Smoked old fashioned was a hit, as was the French Onion soup. Server checked on us frequently, only negative, which was corrected, wrong side was delivered.
google avatar

Phil G.

Yelp
Honestly amazing food and service! Greatly enjoyed our time there. Good drink deals as well. In an adorable part of town. Very walkable...parking free on the street after 5pm
google avatar

Louis W.

Yelp
The ambiance is great. I would recommend upstairs. The food was ok, as usual doesn't look like the pics online. Will return for a another experience, hoping will be better than the first.
google avatar

Dan V.

Yelp
We think they have the best drinks in the FM area. They provide such great flavor without being over the top and the egg white or cold foam tops are always a tasty addition. The Stay Classy old fashioned never misses either. We will stop just for drinks or enjoy the unique flavors they provide on their wings, street corn, and sandwiches.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place! Ambience is A. Very cute bar with amazing staff. Service A+. Everyone there made sure you were taken care of. I especially liked the Emilee and the guy bartender. Great drinks and food. Food was super good!! A

Yelp
Waiter gave very good service, ordered the Gimme the Chimi, and Chicken and Donuts with sauce on the side from the brunch menu. The Gimme the Chimi was alright- probably wouldn't order it again but it wasn't bad. The Chicken and Donuts was good but very sweet, very glad to have ordered the sauce on the side. If your a sweet tooth this is for you. Saw several kids here so you can bring your families.

Yelp
This is our go to spot to eat whenever we're in downtown Fort Myers. You can't go wrong with any of their options and they have a diverse selection of cocktails. I do believes there's a 2nd floor outdoor rooftop area as well. Servers have all ben super kind and attentive each time we've visited.

Amy

Yelp
The service was pretty good. Took a little while for someone to attend to us, but the food is awesome! It's a nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Ezequiel T.

Yelp
A bit difficult to find but once there it was a wonderful experience! The guy that was our server outside was very attentive and had a great idea for what drinks to try! The barbie drink was a favorite with the old fashioned a s a second (no need to get it smoked, makes no difference in taste but comes with an upcharge). Food was ok but the elote wings were incredible! I was hesitant regarding heat but it wasn't spicy at all! Flavor was amazing! Overall experience very good. Would come back! Ambiance is a plus both outside and inside.

Yelp
I went downtown Fort Myers to eat lunch at 10 Twenty Five. I had to park and walk to their location because their business was not accessible by road. When I walked in, I was greeted and I proceeded to go and sit up at the bar. The bartender was very nice and friendly. She was also very fun to talk to. It was kinda dark inside with some rock music playing in the background, but it was very lively inside also. As I looked at their menu, I could not decide between a few different dishes because there were many dishes on their menu that sounded really good. I ended up getting their "The New Hippie On The Block" sandwich as a wrap with a side of Sweet Potato Tots. Everything was delicious. They also had a good selection of craft beer on tap. Overall, great experience!! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes on their menu!!

Yelp
Food: 10/10!!! Everything was yummy. The smoked out Cuban was so good, we had to take one to go!! It was cheesy, smoked and full of surprises in every bite. The fries... one word... SEASONED!!! The elote wings were intriguing. They gave our taste buds a surprise the more we ate. Drink: Sweater Weather old fashioned... absolutely!! I've had many old fashions and that was an amazing craft drink. And if you cannot drink, they can make mocktails. I cannot wait to go back for the bottomless mimosas. Service: Delightful, attentive and pleasant. Our guy was a gem and I appreciate him being so sweet during our time there. The vibe: Sunday they played some nice old school R&B/Pop hits that everyone could enjoy. Everyone was so nice. I would suggest making a reservation or call ahead.

Yelp
Another fantastic & flavorful lunch today...I tried their Chopped Pub Salad (so fresh & filled with tons of toppings) and added blackened shrimp. Now that I'm expecting, I can't enjoy my favorite cocktails here but the bartender was amazing and turned my usual Ain't Chi Baby into a spicy delish Mocktail. My hubby had the Double Tap burger and fries and was a big fan! Good flavor and well prepared. The fries are always FIRE. And it was a perfect bright & sunny day on the patio.

Yelp
The set up is very interesting with the bar on the first floor and a bar on the second floor with outside seating. It is fun watching the crowd below while you eat and drink. The staircase was very interesting since the steps weren't lit up too well and steep depending on how you handle staircases. I loved the music selection that they had the night I went, early 2000s/2010 music choices. The service was a lot better once the food was brought out. I would definitely go again with a group of friends.
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
Food was fabulous and atmosphere was wonderful. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the sun and views. The absolute best French onion soup I have ever had. All the servers were helpful and friendly. My beer never got empty. Would definitely recommend it

Yelp
I came to have some of this restaurant being that I saw it had some pretty decent reviews. I went during breakfast time so they also had a brunch menu. I ended up ordering the Al pastor tacos and really enjoyed what I had. I also ordered a cocktail from their cocktail menu and found it to be good as well. My friend and I shared the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer and we both found it to be a little different than what we normally have but we enjoyed it better than most of what we've had. It has a smoky flavor to it. Our server was attentive and very happy. We enjoyed our experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here because of Yelp. Couldn't resist having the truffle Mac as a side even though I'm almost always disappointed. I wasn't! It was cheesy and truffley. Both sandwiches came out piping hot, crisp and very tasty. The slaw was ok, a little bland. It's in a courtyard, and there was a funky smell. Drinks looked interesting but we didn't imbibe...
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I had lunch here yesterday. It was a nice bar/pub feel place. I got the grilled cheese sandwich with pulled pork and sweet potato fries, and my wife got a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and fries. She won. I liked hers better. The crispy fried chicken and the stuff on the sandwich was really good. I would have preferred it spicier. It wasn't hot, more like BBQ sauce but very good. Mine was good, just not as good as hers. Again mine has jalapeños, but I missed the heat. It was still a very good sandwich. We both got a couple beers. One was a hazy IPA and the other a local red. Both were very good. The service was attentive and helpful. It was kind of strange that we had several people come over to see if we needed anything. Prices are reasonable.

Yelp
Food: pretty tasty! Generous portions, all very flavorful. I had a brunch special- the egg and cheese sandwich on everything bagel. The bagel was fine, just a standard bagel that got a little soggy with the sauce. The pesto was delicious and enhanced the sandwich! The ham was good, not salty and the havarti balances it out nicely. My friend really enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich too. Service: excellent! They kept bringing us water without having to ask, since we were sitting outside and it was hot out. Multiple servers checked on us, so it was nice they all worked together. We were also seated right away, even though they were busy and there was a benefit concert in the plaza. Food arrived quickly as well, within 15 minutes of ordering. Ambiance: sat outside, there is plenty of seating with shade. Inside seemed nice too, with a solid size bar and ample seating around without feeling tight. There is also an upstairs patio which looked nice.

Mary P.

Yelp
Service and drinks were amazing! Food was excellent as well. Inventive drinks and food-keep an open mind-the flavors work!

Mark N.

Yelp
Been coming here for a while and it just keeps getting better. Tonight: live music, burger was - best I've had in Fort Myers, cocktails were good and service was on point.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Still great! Always a consistent place for a good brunch! Great service, great menu with specials that change often.

Michael G.

Yelp
Searched web sites and was intrigues by menu and location at 10 Twenty Five. My wife enjoyed the Korean BBQ fried egg rolls, I loved the Elote wings and we had the best cheeseburger in the world. Atmosphere crowded but cool. Attentive service and fair price. We are going back?
google avatar

Cat C.

Yelp
This was a nice place for lunch. Service was good and the vibe was mellow. Menu options were creative, I would go back and try more. I got the Chikity China sandwich and the fry on the chicken was perfect. The bun was great too and the flavors were fun but I thought the whole sandwich was a little too saucy and too sweet. The fries were standard, good but nothing special. We were a little cramped at our table, would have appreciated more comfortable seating.
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
In town for work and stopped here for lunch. My 10 twenty five salad was incredible. Service was also fast and tons of cool decor inside. Would definitely come back next time I'm in town
google avatar

Suzanne M.

Yelp
Good Service, friendly, attentive, ambiance downstairs was darker industrial sports bar, very casual. But, probably one of the best burgers I've had in a while, husband agreed. And I love their french fries, and mock tail! Would definitely go back.

Jerilynn S.

Yelp
Terrible place!!!! Just rude and super noisy. Food OK nothing special! We went here to celebrate our friends birthday and knowing we would be drinking we brought a designated driver and they stayed sober the entire time, but as the place (Speakeasy Room) filled up we were asked to leave. The reason they gave was they were cutting us off. I who had also stopped drinking after 2 beers was mortified by this, we were all older and not as "hip" as the new crowd coming but it was rudely done. We paid our bill and left WILL NEVER RETURN! The 10 Twenty Five in Ft Myers is far superior in all aspects: food, atmosphere and waite staff.
google avatar

Cassie D.

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious drinks. I wish we could remember our bartenders name, bc she was fabulous. Took her time greeting us, describing some different cocktails and ensured that we were getting drinks we were going to love. Both of us agreed they were some of the best cocktails we have had in a long time. The green goddess and an old fashioned were what we had. Both so good we stuck with them for round two. We easily got seats at the upstairs inside bar and after seeing some food come out (and a good football game on) we ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls to snack on; DELICIOUS. We should have stayed for dinner and will definitely be back. DONT be fooled by the casual atmosphere and large seating areas, everyone is given lots of attention and the bar is absolutely top notch.
google avatar

Debbie W.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks after dinner at a close by restaurant. Sat at the bar and received great service. We love the lively atmosphere. We had the fish and chips on a previous visit and the dish was top notch. This should be a go-to destination in downtown Fort Myers.
google avatar

Pete R.

Yelp
Great vibes and great food. Bartenders are on point. Went back for brunch....checks all the boxes. This is a go to place downtown.
google avatar

Gavin H.

Yelp
This was our first visit to this restaurant. The food was unique and delicious. The service was great and our server was friendly and attentive. My only issue was the table was very small and there was barely enough room for our food and drinks.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Great spot to relax after 11 o'clock! They have a spacious outdoor area, perfect for hanging out with friends. The menu features variety of craft beers, catering to all tastes. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy some great brews.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Great food. Fun atmosphere on the patio and great service. The French onion soup was amazing.
google avatar

Shane V.

Yelp
I have been here a few times for cocktails and decided to try it for food. My cuban was absolutely delicious and wouodngo back just for that. I've had their smokey old fashioned many times and it's a must!!
google avatar

Fabian G.

Yelp
We have come here several times and every time this are great. The food is hands down awesome and service is phenomenal.

Ciara K.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The service is top tier! Every single staff member was so kind and was checking on everybody eating. The food is fresh and got to us so quick. The music and the patio make for the perfect Saturday lunch spot. Can't wait to make this a regular stop!
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
A fun spot! A wide selection of interesting beers and cocktails. The food was delicious as well. We couldn't decide on individual entrees, so we decided to share some apps. We enjoyed the egg rolls, lettuce wraps and chicken wings. A good time was had, helpful service as well.
google avatar

Tyler A.

Yelp
This place is all about the location to me. The location and ability to people watch while getting waited on are well worth the price of the mediocre food. The staff here is always super friendly and goes over the top for you. My only issue keeping this review from reaching 5 stars is the food is just ok. The food is good but seems more on the bland side, the flavors just kind of blend together. the alpastor sandwich tasted nothing like alpastor. I've been here multiple times and honestly will continue to go back, but if this restaurant was in the middle of no where I would not be making the trip.
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
I will say, at first this was going to be a bad review. When I was seated, it took almost 20mins for a waiter to acknowledge me. Too long in my opinion. I almost left. BUT so glad I didn't! And my waitress was super awesome. She had so many recommendations and she didn't fail me. The truffle Mac & cheese was probably the best I'd ever had!! I wish I had gotten the full size and took some back to the hotel with me. Soooo good! My sandwich was also extremely good. I typically don't eat a lot of ham, but this wasn't cheap ham...it was thick and sweet. Kind of like Honey Baked Ham Company. The cheese and bacon jam with a crispy sourdough bread just set the rest of it off. Yum! If I lived in Ft. Myers, this would be a staple. I enjoyed sitting on the patio and just people watching. The music was a little loud but came with the vibe. Definitely check this place out if you're in downtown Ft Myers.
