Yelp
Definitely not the best Italian restaurant in Vegas, and not even close to good, in my opinion.
Our first time dining at this restaurant was an underwhelming experience all around. I ordered branzino; my mom ordered sogliola; and, my husband ordered linguini pesto. We also ordered a bottle of Italian pino grigio, which was delicious. We noticed the bread service with free refills listed as an appetizer and also ordered it to share.
First, our server never mentioned that the bread would be served plain unless we requested butter or oil and vinegar. Because she didn't stop by to check on us for a while, we asked another server if the bread service could be served with butter or oil and vinegar. He responded that it could but only if we requested it. We then requested it from him and he sent another server to our table to deliver it. Our server never came to ask if we wanted a refill of either the bread or the oil and vinegar.
Second, the food was dry, maybe room temperature warm at best. The flavor was ok at best, thus 2 stars for the food. My mom's pasta was undercooked and hard, so she couldn't eat it.
Third, our server came by at the end to pick up our plates. She never asked if we wanted a desert or provided the desert menu, or whether we needed anything else.
The place was not busy and we were her only table. We waited for about 20 minutes after she picked up our plates but she never came by to bring us a check. So, we walked up to the hostess and asked her for the check. She tracked down our server and she printed the check.
All in all, our first impression wasn't good. Neither the food or the service were good. We talked about it after leaving and agreed that this was probably the worst restaurant experience that we had in a long long time. We love food and frequent various restaurants but will not be going back to this restaurant again.
How hard would it be for a server to provide information and options (e.g., bread could be served with oil and vinegar); to come by and check up on us a couple of times to make sure that we are doing ok (e.g., whether we need any refills of anything); to close us out when we are clearly done (e.g., she already picked up our plates; this was possibly the only time she came by our table after bringing the food)? How hard could it have been to provide decent customer service to the only table she had, a three-top? Unbelievably poor customer service and just a really bad experience!
