Bellamy's Restaurant

Boyfriend reserved a table for us here on a Monday evening at 5:30. When we arrived we were greeted positively by the bartender/host (not sure which) immediately. Fernando was our waiter and during the entirety of our visit was extremely kind and attentive even as it got busier later in the night. I have allergies and he made sure to check that everything I ordered was able to be accommodated, which everything was! We ordered the calamari as our appetizer, my boyfriend had the shrimp penne pasta, and I ordered the Monday 20oz Prime rib dinner. Everything tasted amazing and the atmosphere in the main dining area was super chill with table and couch seating options. As a frequent date goer and foodie, 10/10 experience!

We were hoping for a great evening with live music on the patio. We made reservations for two. We were greeted and sat down at our table and left alone for half an hour before we got water while we listen to the band which was good. Finally we got to order drinks which took another half hour to receive only one of our drinks. When we asked for the second drink they brought a glass of wine that I didn't order the server said that she couldn't find my wine so she bought me a different wine to taste but it was not good. I asked for the wine list and I chose a better wine and then she walked out with two bottles of wine, one that I had originally ordered. Finally an hour and a half later I got my glass of wine. The music was good and that is the only reason we didn't walk out. Customers started complaining and then we got our appetizer. Two hours later we got our dinner. $107.00 later with two beers one glass of wine an appetizer one pasta dish that was not very good. It wouldn't have been a complaint for cost but the service was unexceptionable and the food was not very good. Our table was warped and wonky. Won't go back for food or service. Greeter was a stick in the mud. Sorry it just wasn't a good experience. And I usually have good reviews on restaurants.

We came here for the first time this evening for a Valentine’s Day date. The restaurant had a set price menu of $125 per person, which included a small bit of tuna on a cracker, an appetizer, a main course, and a tiny slice of cheesecake with the chocolate covered strawberry. For this price, we were taking outside to what looks like the back of an old restaurant where there is a stage, a mural painted on the wall, and tables that have been set up that looked to be temporary. It was chilly tonight, but they put us relatively near a heater, which had very little ability to keep us warm. My appetizer was fine, but my wife had own marrow that came out that was the consistency of butter and was cold. We reported this to the waiter, and he was nice enough to apologize, but did nothing about it. Then, the main course came out and we switched places. My wife’s duck came out warm and fresh, and my plate, and 8 ounce steak, potatoes, and green beans came out cold. Every one of those items was cool to the touch, which is insane for a $125 meal. All in all, I think I’m being generous to give this place two stars. The waiter did bring me out another plate, and while I wouldn’t say that it was hot as if it were fresh, it was at least not cold. The steak was fine, everything was fine, with the fact that we ended up spending over $300 at this place is insane. I wouldn’t pay over $100 for the experience that we had tonight. They did nothing to apologize for the experience, either, by trying to knock off a few dollars to apologize, or bring a little extra slice of cheesecake, nothing. Save your money. There are plenty of other places to eat in Escondido that would blow this place out of the water.

Helen is the BEST! Attentive, personable, and professional. Exactly what you are looking for when you want to relax at an awesome place with fantastic food. Here with 3 foodies who cleaned their plates at every course. And Helen was there throughout guiding and helping exactly as we needed. Fantastic night! We all promised each other we'd be back soon but only if Helen is there for us! Request her if you want superlative service!

My husband and I had dinner here a few days ago and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Everything from the starter to dessert was perfection. The service was also very good. It’s not cheap but the quality was excellent. We’re looking forward to dining here again.

Made a reservation way in advance for Valentine’s. Arrived ten minutes early for our time. We were told they were running five minutes late. That was a lie. Instead, we waited forty minutes outside in the cold. Once seated, we were stuck outdoors even though I requested inside. The table wasn’t near a heater either. The table black cloth was filthy dirty. The waiter was new and no idea what he was doing. Their wine and beer selection is limited. They do not provide bread as an appetizer. Forecast menu at $125 per person, it should be an outstanding experience. We couldn’t even get past the appetizer and we got up and left the location. Horrible experience that ruined our date night for Valentine’s. I will never go here again.

Fantastic place to have a meal. The atmosphere was very welcoming despite it being busy. service couldn't have been better. The only critique I could add would be that my scallops were overcooked. Presentation was great though. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you have a little extra cash to spend. Oh, there was also live music that we enjoyed very much.

Love this Farm to table Restaurant. They have a Prime Rib Monday's for the beef lovers! Great bar with an outdoor patio area for entertainment and dinner dates. The food is very fresh and flavorful. The Burger is one of the best fresh meat burgers that I've ever had. Great place for small groups. They have a private dinner room and plenty of outdoor space.

Last night I had the pleasure of enjoying James Kruk playing Johnny Cash and oldies. He was high energy, gave background history with humor and performed with finesse. His band accompanied him with ease and you could tell they loved performing. If you have a chance to enjoy a fun night of music do it! The venue on the patio was perfect. It's summer in Escondido and it's bound to be hot but the placement of the overhead shade was perfect along with umbrellas that kept me, a redhead, delightfully out of the sun. The tables were set perfectly. The staff were friendly making it an inviting experience. Our server was Melanie who made our evening with quick service, attention and a friendly demeanor. She made our evening an enjoyable time. On to the food! It was fantastic. I had the poppers and a salad which was tasty. We shared the charcuterie board that had delights for everyone at our table. Well done Bellamy's. The patio is the place to be!

The irony! On the way to a Master Chef event 2 hours from home we stopped at Bellamy's for dinner after a great deal of research for a nice restaurant close to our event venue. Bellamy's has nice ambiance and live music. We were sat in the rear dining room. We were disappointed to receive a limited menu compared to the menus online but figured the other menus were old posts by past patrons. When we asked if there was a different menu, the server shared the specials with us. One of the specials, the scallops, sparked my daughter's interest so we asked the server to repeat the scallop special details. We were told "Scallops, with caviar (my eyebrow raised since I like caviar as a rare special treat), carrot puree, and brussel sprouts. My daughter immediately shook her head no since she is not a brussel sprout fan. She selected the shrimp prawn penne. I decided to turn the special night into a "Treat Yo Self" night and ordered the special. After a reasonable time the food arrived. My daughter's pasta was decent. 3 prawns and penne pasta ($38). My dish was immediately disappointing: 4 small/medium scallops, a skid mark (you're welcome) of carrot puree, GREEN BEANS, andddddd the pièce de résistance, the "caviar" was 25 cents worth of bright red masago! A normal everyday poke bowl topping..., yes a fish egg or roe, but absolutely not caviar. Being a weekly poke eater made the masago being passed off as "caviar" even more upsetting. I had not asked the price of the special. Generally I know I'll be paying a premium for specials. Of course our server all but disappeared at this point. Next time he came by I commented about the masago. He acknowledged it was in fact not caviar. I mentioned also receiving green beans instead of brussels and he began arguing what he had told me. After he had just recited the caviar brussel sprout description to the very near proximity table. I then asked for the bill to measure just how much I was getting scammed. Drumroll.......... $65 damn dollars. Literally 3 ounces of total food. I couldn't do it. I asked the waiter to be reasonable and fix the matter. He comped our dessert. I'm writing this review as I watch Master Chef winners prepare delicious food live and I'm hungry. Will be stopping on the way home for something. So disappointed.

Just got back home from a disappointing experience at Bellamy's....2.5 Ambiance 3 Service 2.5 Food 2.5 Monday, they advertise Prime Rib. It's a Ribeye Steak. The baked potato was reheated from Sunday, no butter in it, very little sour cream, and bacon that was very chewy. I used the cream horseradish to give the potato more flavor. Not salt or pepper on the table. The Steak was tender, but little flavor. Carrots were good. My wife had the tomato salad and French Onion soup. I tasted the soup. Again, average at best. Told them up front it was our anniversary. Server asked if we wanted some dessert for my birthday. Bill came to $90. No drinks. Very dissatisfied. Won't be back.

Their happy hour deals are a steal! The bartenders here are attentive & friendly! & the one working this past Elvis event needs a raise for how he handled all the drink orders everyone was throwing his way! They have several cocktails on the menu but the bartenders can make anything you like. Food is delicious! I highly recommend the calamari. & on Monday's, they have a Prime Rib special. Well decorated interior. Nice setting for seat down dinner. Live music is a big plus. Excellent onion soup, subpar salad, very bad water used for coke, worst than even the tap water they served. Iced tea is ok. Service is slow but expected for "French" restaurants. Ambience is not quiet but if you come during the live music, that will be cancelled out. Very good brown butter fettuccine Alfredo. Recommended. Prime rib melt is not up to standard. Meat is well done. The bread is dry as a few days old. But the French fries is superb. Cream brûlée is on the mark. Beautifully decorated, very sweet black berry, crispy caramel, smooth vanilla texture. What a mixed bag they offered but at the price range, probably will not return.

I've been here so many times and just realized I never made a review! Classiest restaurant in Escondido. Their food and drinks are top notch, service is great, décor is elegant, and on Friday's they have live jazz in the bar area with Dave Scott from KUSI news! They also have Happy Hour from 3-6pm everyday but they are always closed on Sundays. Street parking but you can always find a spot. All around great place for a date night or just a fancy place to go with friends/family.

Such a classy place! Our friends go here all the time and we finally had a chance to meet them. We reserved a table in the bar for happy hour and had awesome drinks for a fair price. The servers are so nice and seem to be having fun while working. I'm excited to go back!

We had our date night here. Our server Fernando was the best! So attentive and kind hearted. Go to Bellamy's, ask for Fernando and you are in for a great night!

The food was amazing. I had the prawn penne pasta, hubby had french onion soup and short ribs. Drinks wine and blood orange smash. Dessert was warm butter cake that was so delicious. Fernando our waiter was professional, courteous and helpful. We will come again.

Hands down the best filet mignon in north county. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for the last two years and absolutely love the it. Along with the steaks the employees are amazing and go over and beyond. Shout out to the cook whom always takes care of and Andrew Marshall behind the bar.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic dinner in north county and came across Bellamy's on Yelp. We made reservations and got their early for happy hour in the bar area. After our drinks we were seated at our table and from there we were just blown away by everything. I am a huge French Onion soup guy and theirs is one of the best I've had in San Diego. My girlfriend had the butternut squash soup and I had a taste and it was delicious. For the main course I had the short rib, which was out of this world. My girlfriend loved the sea bass and even though we were stuffed, we finished the night off with a butter cake, which was also incredible. Service was extremely friendly and although I could see parking being a challenge, we had no problem finding a spot. Highly highly highly recommend Bellamy's!

On Valentine's Day, my husband and I were heading to a show at the nearby arts center. We decided to make early dinner reservations to ensure we made it to the show on time. My husband chose Bellamy's due to its proximity to the arts center, and due to the positive online reviews. I know that when my husband chooses a restaurant for Valentine's Day, he make reservations weeks in advance, and looks to ensure that have something special for Valentine's Day. We found nearby street parking and walked about a block to the restaurant. It was a bit uncomfortable when we walked into the bar area, as there were people walking out from behind the bar, another couple waiting, and they awkwardly seemed confused about our reservation. Finally, after one staff member went to look at available tables, seeming to never return, another staff member swiftly walked us to the dining room and let us choose our table. The dining room was tastefully decked with white linens, and mostly tables for 2. Tables were covered with artificial tea lights and rose petals. They had prix fixe 3-course menus (plus amuse-bouche) for $95 per person with an additional optional wine pairing. I was happy that several of the items on the menu sounded good. We opted out of the wine pairing, as there were several interesting cocktails on the menu. The cocktail menu must rotate as I couldn't find the name of the one I ordered on the online menu, but it was a delicious Aperol Bourbon cocktail that I would definitely recommend. My husband drank the Old Fashioned and the Bourbon Smash. I also enjoyed a glass of Sangiovese with my dinner. Our amuse-bouche was a cauliflower puree with caviar in a hear-shaped plastic dish. I love cauliflower, but I will say it was only OK. I chose the Bloody Mary Oysters which were excellent. My husband chose the brie en croute, which he enjoyed. I was disappointed as it had been described to have truffle that I couldn't taste. We both chose the surf and turf (steak and lobster tail) that was delicious. For whatever reason, they didn't bring steak knives and it was a bit of a production to ask for them. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake with chocolate gelato, and a chocolate covered strawberry. By that time, I could barely eat another bite. The chocolate chips in the gelato gave it a nice crunchy texture. The service was friendly and pretty good, but I do feel that at that price point, it could have been more professional and polished. Also, perhaps because it was Valentine's Day, the place was super busy and tables were packed in very tightly. I got up to use the restroom and it was hard to walk from my seat between the tables to get out, and I'm an average-sized person. I should add that by the time our dinner was over, the scene in the bar was really fun. There was someone playing a piano, and someone else singing in an old-fashioned microphone. The music was I heard included crooners and old show tunes. If I lived nearby, I would totally go on a weekend evening to enjoy appetizers and cocktails in the fun bar environment. All in all, our experience made for a lovely Valentine's dining experience.

Fun vibe, atmosphere and service. Maybe on the pricey side. Would give 5 stars but gave 4 due to the limited menu. Only 6 entree choices total.

When we first walked in, the inside smelled very unpleasant and its very small. We were there for a magic show so we were walked to the back exterior patio area. For the price of the show, I imagined a bigger and nicer table, everything was very casual about the experience, which did not match the price of the food or show. The menu was veryyyy limited , there were only about 5-6 entree options, we had 3 of them and they were a 6/10 overall, not horrible but nothing special and especially not for the price paid. We drove over an hour for this place thinking it was a nice restaurant due to the ratings but it is not a nice restaurant it is subpar. Magic show was not worth the drive or price.

Great experience and great atmosphere. Live music of Zach Brosi- he sounded really good. He is on Spotify also. We sat at the bar and had the Burger Brown Buttered fettuccine with Shrimp. The food was delicious and well seasoned, well prepared and served warm. We had Rose and bread pudding for dessert. $$-$$$ but worth it! Excellent date night spot and they had a bar area, the restaurant and it was clean and the service was excellent!

I started going here when nick was the bartender and that' was prob one of the best services we ever received best drinks great mixologists. I finally went again and saw a new bartender he was at least little more talkative then the last one that was there . Happy hour menus drinks were alright not as strong as you want them not watered down either but not trying to waste 10-13$ on something I won't feel. The happy hour menu is great the burger is prob the best deal. Didn't seem so full on a Thursday night like before. But still a nice place to hang out after work

Will maybe try again. Maybe the live music was the problem, but the service was NOT great. My husband never got his entree.....the salads were good, not great, and my calamari which we had to share since his food never showed up was meh for 18 bucks. Had to ask for napkins and silverware. And this is as fancy as Escondido gets? Really?

My wife and I came to Bellamy's for a date night and were blown away by the food and service. Our waiter Fernando was amazing, super friendly and impeccable service. Food and drinks came out quick which we appreciate. Highly recommend.

We like our neighborhood restaurant. Now it's even livelier with the live band. We came to celebrate hubby's birthday. Fernando, our server made it special with his beautiful voice as he sang happy birthday and had all the other guests join him. The hummus with beets was amazing!!! And so were our main entrees.

Went back again recently with my Dad and grandparents and once again, delicious as always! Everyone was very pleased with all of their dishes

We have lived in Escondido for over 6 years and have been meaning to come here. I'm sorry we waited so long. We came tonight for our anniversary. Everything was perfect. But what really made it special was Fernando, the server. From the moment we were seated he made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. His attention detail, conversation and knowledge were what makes dining out special. As far as the meal, we had the calamari appetizer. This Italian guy from New York is very particular about his calamari. This was one of the best I've had. I had the short rib and my husband had the pork loin. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. To top it off, we had the crème brûlée for dessert. It was perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back.

This hole in the wall is such an unknown gem in Escondido. I used to come here for cocktails. Don't forget about the Monday prime rib special. Me and my fiancé split one order because it's huge and delicious. Tonight I brought my parents and everyone enjoyed the food. Here is what we got: - Pork loin 7/10, my fiancé said it needed more salt, port was huge - Short rib 9/10, my dad liked it but said the sauce was on the sweet side, portion is huge - cioppino 10/10, my mom ordered this and I tried it. The sauce is delicious and addicting and thicker than a typical cioppino. She finished the whole thing. - Scallops special 9/10 scallops were cooked to perfection, there were a lot of carrots but they were also perfectly cooked, creme sauce with onions I ordered my usual paper plane, a drink you can't find anywhere cuz a lot of bars don't stock the ingredients. And we got the shrimp on bread with butter sauce appetizer which comes with 3 pieces. The price was very reasonable for 4 persons. Just under $200. Service was fantastic. There is live music on Saturday nights.

I joined a girlfriend for Happy Hour at 3 last Friday, right when they open. We enjoyed Sherwin, the bartender, who took care of us at the bar seating. (Nice, cool, underlit marble or granite bar) and there is cocktail seating in the front lounge area. Well drinks were $7, I had a couple G&T's, my friend had a wine, plus 3-4 special drinks were HH priced, like a Moscow Mule. Calamari app was excellent, spicy shrimp was good and spicy with a mango/papaya salsa mix that was mild. But to share, not enough shrimp. As we were leaving, the 6 pm musicians were arriving to set up. More next visit

We came here for our anniversary and enjoyed the very nice atmosphere; good lighting, comfortable seating, and low relaxing music. The service was great overall, and our server was very attentive throughout most of the evening. When we were ready to leave, she got pretty busy, and we had to ask someone else to bring the bill. Other than the end, I wish we could remember her name, because we would ask for her again. The food was also terrific, but beware of the "specials"; salmon and scallops, at $40 and $60 respectively, was overpriced, especially when compared with pricing for other comparable dishes on the menu. Many places offer the price of the specials when reading them off, and this experience has taught me to ask before ordering - I don't care if it makes me "cheap"; I think it's reasonable for making a decision.

Food, drinks, and service were all wonderful. Francisco was took care of us and was very kind, personable, and attentive. We had the calamari, spare ribs, and catch of the day. All were phenomenal. Overall great experience.

Came to see Johnny Cash and friends 8/30..outside event. service was not as good as the insde. Tables were set up to close I ordered my VIP tickets and it reassured me that I got it for 100 dllrs apparently it wasn't VIP. We also order appetizers and was given to us cold. I will not return for an event outside. I rather come and enjoy the service inside.

Exceptional service and live music to enjoy on Friday nights. It's ambiance and setting make for a very nice date night or a dinner for a special event. Linen tablecloths and table settings so I did feel a bit underdressed as this was a very kind and generous impromptu dinner invitation with colleagues. Would definitely dress up next time. Friends recommended Bellamy's steaks and treated us to a wonderful meal. We enjoyed their filet mignons, Cesar salad appetizers, a well-seasoned seared ahi entree with crisp vegetables, and their fried calamari appetizer. Their calamari appetizer was delicious! Loved the crispness and the flavor of the batter. Really enjoyed the seared ahi tuna entree as well. Could easily share between two gusts. Steaks were very much enjoyed as well. Our server was a young lady and I do not recall her name, apologies, but their service is very attentive! Very thorough and professional with their hospitality. Very cool street to check out here in Escondido as we did pass their "Cruise" event, where they lined up vintage cars and seemed to draw a crowd, even families and a comedy club nearby. Nothing that it's a cool neighborhood to visit in Escondido.

Amazing service at this restaurant as well as food! Sea bass is the best I've had in San Diego and the shrimp scampi is so flavorful. I want to give a personal shout out to our server Fernando, he is a great and is very knowledgeable of all the best options. If you are looking for great food with different flavor profiles and drinks this place is a great choice. The ambiance was so romantic for dinner, and if you come during happy hour they have really nice outside seating options.

Food is not so good. Music too loud. The only good thing about this place was the staff. Kind and lovely staff.

Fernando was our waiter and he was absolutely fantastic! He made the entire experience so much better through his knowledge and presence. The ambiance was also out of this world, we walked in to an incredible singer playing, but in the dining room in was quiet and a nice classy vibe. The food was also great! Both my mom and I got the scallops and loved them! My dad got the Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. This is our new spot when we are in Escondido!

Went for daughters bday. Got seated right away, nice table. We ordered 3 appetizers the hummus, pork belly and calamari. Hummus and calamari were very good the pork belly ok nothing special. I had the pork loin my daughter had braised short rib. The pork although cooked through was ice cold in the center, maybe pre cooked refrigeratored than reheated to serve I guess. Braised short rib was dry almost inedible. My son had the fettuccine it was very good. Our server comped us desert, not his fault he's not cooking back there. Bill still 170.00 plus tip 200.00 For what they charge very disappointing evening I frequent local restaurants here but doubt I'll be back here for awhile too many better options.

This restaurant has a casual bar area and a warm welcoming dining room on the back side. The service from our waiter, Orion, was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and took good care of us. It was truly 6 star service! On Mondays, this place has some of the best prime rib in town with their Monday special. Even the end cut was perfectly pink and tender. Their filet mignon entree was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The steak came with whipped seasoned potatoes and a vegetable. I asked for carrots and asparagus. They offered a birthday dessert for our group since we were celebrating a birthday. We absolutely loved this local eatery and fine dining place!

You would think a $200 meal would be something special. Not if you eat here. Interior gives off a 1960's steakhouse vibe. Had arrived early for a 6:30 concert nearby. Service was friendly but very slow. Two hours for drinks, a shared starter, and two entrees. We missed the start of the show. Shrimp scampi toast was good though by the time it reached us the shrimp were tasty but the toast was mush. Wife enjoyed her crispy skin sea bass. I chose the NY Steak special and asked for medium rare. I got rare/raw. And with a zillion mini carrots arranged around the plate like hours on a clock face. Weird. If we weren't trying to make the concert I would have spoken up but it was clear the wait staff and kitchen weren't up to the task that night. I hope Bellamy's is better than this most days but it was not a good experience.

I'm Actually quite sad to be leaving a 3 star. this was not the best experience we have had here. Made a reservation for Christmas Eve for the family, when doing so it said NOTHING on the site about being a prefixed menu. As it got closer an we received reminders for the reservation, still no notice. When we were handed menus upon our arrival, this is when we found out it was a limited menu for $100 a head. when we mentioned it to our Waiter his only response was "yea, sorry there was a miscommunication about that". the reason I bring this up is that we have an older individual that lives with us and is a very small eater. like a bowl of soup or just a salad would fill them up. so when the holidays roll around an we are looking for a place to go we especially look for places that are not going to force us to order a 3 course or a 5 course for someone who can only eat 1. the food was good as always, the service seemed and little disenchanted with being there ( I Get it its a holiday, but with a fixed price per person they are making a killing) sadly it was just not the best experience, was really hoping for a better on

I came here for dinner to meet with friends I haven't seen in years. It was already dark and there wasn't much parking nearby on a Saturday night. If it's dark out, I recommend walking with a friend if you're parked a few blocks away. The bar is the first room when you enter. In the back are the dining rooms. It goes from casual to fancy. The dining area was moderately lit and elegant. I was skeptical at first for the Fettuccine & Brown Butter Alfredo that I ordered since pumpkin was an ingredient used in the sauce. It actually ended up tasting amazing! It had just the right amount of pumpkin flavor. All of my friends finished their dishes, so I think it's safe to assume that they enjoyed their meals as well. We all shared various desserts and nothing was a disappointment. We took pictures and asked multiple staff members to help. Each and every one of them did not hesitate and were all patient. Orion was our server and did a great job taking care of us. We did stay longer compared to other guests but he patiently waited on us until the very end. I would definitely come back here again.

We went tonight for our anniversary and the food and ambiance was was wonderful but the best part of our experience was absolutely Fernando, our server! He was attentive and friendly and we really enjoyed our meal because of him!

Fernando was an amazing waiter. Haven't had that type of service in a long long time. Food was great too! Ambiance great in the back room.

This review was written for our attendance at a Six String Society concert on the patio of Bellamy's featuring the West Coast premiere of Alice Wallace's new drop. Fabulous food. Fabulous service. Brian was our top-tier server and Freddie, a super friendly everything guy, long time employee and local resident, was observed doing everything and interacting with everyone on the patio. Even so much as to mitigate a potential fire hazard that could have been caused by a patio heater if left uncorrected. Bravo! This is the level of service and commitment I was trained at. Weather it be in the US Navy or culinary school. Spot on service and food and conscientious customer service. Overall a great night with great food and entertainment; however given the level of service Bellemy's is attempting to attain, I was thrown off by the small plastic serving plates used for the quite excellent Roasted Carrot Hummus appetizer. The weight of the knife or fork would cause the plate to tip. Buy some small plates and you probably would have got the 5th Yelp star 'cause there was not much else to complain about. Dicks

Came to celebrate an occasion on a Monday. Our servers were really fast and gave great recommendations on drinks. I had an aperol spritz, very strong and tasty! We ordered the calamari for the table, it was very tender and came with some good sauces. One my partners had the French Onion soup, it's been the best I've tasted! It was an earthy mushroom taste. I had the Monday Night Prime Rib meal. It was freaking HUGE! Super thick and juicy, I asked for it to be as red as they can serve it and they delivered perfectly. It was very rare. My partners both had the seabass. I had a taste of the cauliflower risotto and seabass skill, very yummy. The kitchen really prides itself on tasteful dishes with great presentation. Will love to be back again to try more plates! It's a great place for a romantic night, the ambiance feels very modern jazzy.

The food and music were great. Fernando was our server and he was incredible! I would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I have been coming to Bellamy's for years and continue to receive incredible service on every visit. Our dinner and drinks last night were delicious, and a shout out to Fernando & Jose for their personalized service, always making us feel welcome and taking a minute to chat. Ambiance is 5-star too, great date-night atmosphere.

The atmosphere was just right with a quiet private dining room and a lovely corner table to celebrate our Anniversary. The service was top notch refilling our drinks often and making suggestions, Fernando was a perfect host. Every course was served piping hot and fresh. We ordered the New York steak and the Seabass special and both were delicious. The dessert was special with a praline, ice cream, espresso delight. A perfect meal for a perfect evening.

This is one of the few places that my wife insisted I write a review (and not for anything good). The atmosphere is sort of strange. Is it supposed to be traditional? Is it supposed to be fancy? Is it supposed to be a sports bar (it has multiple TVs), is it supposed to be a music venue? The answer is yes and no to each, so it's not much of anything. We got seated at a table that was situated right in the hallway between two rooms. Despite having both chandeliers and wall lighting, they also had their bright recessed lighting on full blast. Meaning that our table felt more like a sleep deprivation chamber than a comfortable restaurant. Looking around it looks like several tables had the same problem. We ordered the steak medium rare. It came out very rare. My wife likes rare and it was too rare for her. The truffle fries were so greasy, covered with cheese, and covered with garlic that it was almost impossible to find the fries. When we finally did they were limp. Need I go on?

Great find for an elevated dining experience in Esco. It's got a cool Mad Men kind of vibe, attentive service, and a small but excellent menu. Think one each beef, chicken, pasta, vegetarian. The Friday night we went there were three fish specials and the one we tried (sea bass with a citrus buerre blanc) was excellent, as was the chicken with red pepper sauce. They split the salad for us and gladly substituted a side, and made a dessert recommendation that was unique and delicious. Overall well priced for the quality and experience, will be back. (There was live jazz music, which was lovely and enjoyable from the dining room but would have been too loud for us if we'd wanted to sit in the bar, so if you go for a drink you might want to check the entertainment schedule.)

I visited Bellamy's last night for the first time. Such a beautiful restaurant with top-shelf service. Fernando was personable, funny and a truly professional waiter. The dining experience is unique, built around their French influenced, California-modern cuisine. We ordered a variety of dishes and the overall quality of the food was somewhat of a mixed bag. When making my reservation I requested a booth but we were sat at a table. I found the chairs to be very comfortable. When offered water service, I thought I was back in Europe! We were given the dizzying choices of sparking, mineral, still, tap, etc. For what it's worth, the tap water here is very good. The classic margarita extremely sour. I enjoyed the impressive wine list. The "Baby Romaine" is their version of a Caesar Salad. It had a little too much going on, especially the pepita seeds which I found unnecessary. The seared poached egg was a nice touch. Bread service was fairly pedestrian. Lukewarm, flavorless sliced white loaf accompanied by rock hard butter triangles. My son enjoyed his French Onion Soup. Unfortunately the baguette was soft; either not toasted or already sogged out. My wife had the "Steak Frites". Made with a prime flatiron steak that was cooked past the requested medium-rare. Fries were very good; thin, hot, crispy, etc. My son's "Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib" was probably the best dish among the three. I ordered the "Baja Stone Crab Pasta" and in retrospect wished I hadn't. The spaghetti was cooked to a perfect al dente, but didn't have enough moisture in the lemon-butter sauce. The strands just stuck together and didn't easily separate. The crab seemed rather institutional. Looked and tasted like a pasteurized, bulk food-service type crab. There was such an abundant amount of crab in the dish it overwhelmed the balance with it's strong smell, flavor and mechanically separated texture. I couldn't eat it all. For dessert, the Creme Brûlée was tasty, but the top was soft, completely void of the glassy snap you expect from a good brûlée. The Lemon Cheesecake tasted excellent and was beautifully presented. At the price point of this establishment I had higher expectations for the food. Everything else however was quite lovely.
