Boston’s Best Drinks of 2024 | Eater Boston

"As noted above by Marc Hurwitz: “I had a Belleflower Heart Trail (New England IPA) ... that equaled nearly anything I’ve had from Hill Farmstead in Vermont. People definitely need to seek out beers from this mostly unknown brewery in Portland, ME.” That endorsement emphasizes the brewery’s Heart Trail New England IPA as an unexpectedly excellent pour worth seeking out." - Erika Adams

My friends and I kicked off a trip to Portland at Belleflower, and it was the perfect start. One of my buddies had randomly been given a can of their beer in NY and wanted more — now I see why. The inside is beautiful and has such a unique vibe for a brewery. I spotted someone drinking a blue beer, ordered the same, and it did not disappoint. We grabbed a bunch of cans to go and enjoyed them on the beach with lobster. Great atmosphere, wide variety of beers, and definitely a place I highly recommend!

Beers are mediocre, had the Finch and Thistle, its like watered down orange juice with added tonic water. Tried their housemaid gin drink, bubbly it said. ZERO bubbles. When I asked why, she said, "we dont make it on the line anymore. We just make the drink mix and pour in tonic water." DO NOT get it, it's gross. She offered another choice twice. -----how about you just dont serve it, at all, ever. Will not return. UPDATE: staff saw we weren't drinking our drinks and offered options. He switched to the Magpie and loved it. I switched to the GF pale lager, and it was much better than the semi-warm gin mix. Austin St brewery is still a better choice.

Awesome brewery with a lot of fantastic beers, many varieties and all solid and very good!! Atmosphere is great and very comfortable!! With a multiple of breweries in the area, definitely this one is one of the best in Portland!!

Some of, if not the very, best beer in one of the great beer cities of a great beer state. For casual sippers or the seasoned savant of craft brews, Belleflower is the perfect little hang. We love the friendly staff and their accessible and unique offerings alike. They do a great job cultivating a communal scene with food trucks, musicians, local artisans and crafters. An essential asset to the city.

Great beers and a lovely vibe. Can hang out here playing cards and enjoying the weather. Dog friendly patio as well.

Visited on a weekend in Portland for their 4th anniversary in partnership with another local business. The witches brew beer was very tasty, and the environment is really cute and cozy. The have a good bit of outdoor seating, and they had a food truck when I visited. I'd visit again! Very clean and quaint.

Amazing brewery. Great hazy ipa options and the atmosphere is calming and fun - unique to many breweries which tend to have the same sterile vibe.

Everything I want from a brewery: patio, popcorn, chill vibe and great beer. Highly recommend going on a Thursday or whenever Gunner’s Dog’s is open.
