I’ve Lived in France for 10+ Years—Here Are 11 Hidden Gems in Paris You Won't Find in Guidebooks

"For sweeping, panoramic views without the Sacré-Cœur crowds, I head to the mosaic- and street art–covered belvédère atop Paris’s highest park, where the skyline stretches from the Eiffel Tower and Montparnasse to the Centre Pompidou. It’s a local favorite few tourists know, a stellar perch for the July 14 fireworks, and even has a tiny neighborhood vineyard and sunsets that drop behind the Eiffel Tower." - Lane Nieset Lane Nieset Lane Nieset is a travel writer from Miami who has lived in France for the past decade. Trendy sunset hangout with quaint view of the Eiffel Tower. Some great street art surronding the park.

It’s a beautiful park, but can feel a little dodgy if you’re walking by yourself because it’s so lush and the paths are secluded. Great views from the top!

Nice quiet park. Very steep up to the Belvedere with a stunning view over Paris. You can rest on the terrace of Café Moncoeur.

It is an interesting and rustic park but there is no such view as described. But it is a nice place to relax and take the kids!

I lived nearby the park and I enjoyed jogging there during my stay. The park is vast and I like exploring each side of it. There are public toilets, a restaurant, nice picnic spots. Sincerely, I could spend an entire day there.

One of my favorite parks in Paris. It’s small but has nice corners like the amphitheater area but also in the summer there is enough space for picnics and tanning. Good view over Paris.

Are you and your friends cool, hip, chic, and not afraid to climb stairs? Then come hang out at this park in the evenings for a scenic sunset and view of Paris with many other city dwellers.

Google
Visited midday to find unsavory characters and an off-putting vibe filling the lower part of the park. We did not stay long enough to chat. Would not recommend.

Yelp
A little run down, but with its street art and Eiffel Tower views, it's a gem. There's plenty of trails and places to sit.

Yelp
A lovely park where my family and I stopped for our first picnic on our first day in Paris. This park was within walking distance of our home and there were tons of grocery stores before the park so we could buy our food beforehand. From the top balcony you get a very nice view of Paris and there's even a little information plaque that tells you what you're looking at in the distance.

Yelp
Such a beautiful park! Really cool playground for kids (or adults hehe) and gorgeous greenery/flowers. If you go all way to the top, you'll find an awesome view of Paris.

Yelp
I want to go every day... this is such a lovely park. It is pretty quiet with many little hidden places.

Yelp
The parc de belleville is on the rue julien lacroix where I lived as a child in a tenement building with no indoor plumbing and no running water in the 1 room apartment .It was far from the city of light that the world is so enamored with. All the stores were torn down to make room for the parc.Great improvement!!
