The 10 Best New Restaurants in Vancouver | Eater

"B&W ticks all the sports-bar boxes with foosball tables, hoops, skee ball in a back room, and vast TV screens. But it’s really more of a neighborhood pub, complete with funky playlist, two dozen rotating beer and cider taps, a wrap-around patio, and a thoughtful menu of pub classics done right from the local, sustainable, ethically raised food champs behind city faves such as Wildebeest and Bufala. Skip the burger and head for the ahi tuna grilled sandwich, and definitely leave room for the creamy soft serve ice cream." - Nikki Bayley

When I arrived, it took few minutes for anyone to acknowledge, despite the restaurant being less than half full. The hostess eventually told me she’d come shortly, but ended up waiting few more minutes. When she finally came over, she mentioned that patio tables still needed to be cleaned, which was fine, but I then waited another 5–10 minutes outside for the table to be ready. After being seated, drinks came quickly, which was nice. However, meals arrived very late, I ordered the Mighty Burger. I don’t have an exact time since I was chatting, but it was long enough for the server to come over and let us know the food was still being prepared. As for the food itself: the burger was tasty but quite average, and in my opinion not worth the price. The portion of fries was surprisingly small, and the sauce came in a small paper cup like the ones used for ketchup at fast food places. For the price point, I expected more generous portions and a more elevated presentation. To be fair, I was sort of full at the end. I didn’t try the appetizers, though the photos online looked appealing before my visit. Unfortunately, between the slow service, long wait times, and the overall value for money, I personally would not recommend this place, especially if you’re coming from out of the area. It’s not somewhere I would return to.

Really cute bar/restaurant with a big sports screen for games. They have really good drinks and beer options. Service takes a long time and it is really loud in the restaurant, makes it kinda hard to have conversations.

Stopped in for brunch as we were in the immediate area. Some tough choices had to be made but we decided upon the Bacon Benedict and the Chicken and Waffles. The thick cut slab of bacon was really flavorful, so made not choosing the Breakfast Sandwich palpable /s. Really enjoyed the slightly spicy sauce on the waffles (guessing gochujang mayo) and the fact they used breast meat for the fried chicken. Great crispy thin batter, too.

Great spot to go with a crew!! The staff here were very accommodating with us. We showed up with 10 people (no reservation) and were able to get us seated together within a few minutes. The food and drinks were great. Reasonable prices and quick service. I'm also a sucker for tater tots (instead of fries), so given the option to upgrade for $2 was a no brainer. Will definitely come back again, highly recommend!

My daughter LOVES this place. They have a few (token) arcades that are always a hit, even for a short play, the atmosphere is friendly, food is great, drinks are great, and staff is great! But tonight they were so amazing I just had to write a review. I showed up with my daughter for a mother-daughter dinner. The place was packed because of an important baseball game, and my daughter was super disappointed we could not sit down as planned. I think Alicia, who welcomed us, figured it out. She managed to find us a perfect comfy-cozy spot so we could have our ‘date night’ there after all. She even gifted a few tokens to my kid so she could have fun right away! The food was hot and delicious. Our server Josh was so awesome: friendly, enthusiastic, he went out of his way to ensure we were happy. On such a busy night, I was really impressed with their level of client service. We live nearby, and this visit made us want to go on our special dates more regularly - at B&W! Thank you guys!

Arrived with a reservation for 645 and got seated. Just myself and my 10 year old. Seated in the corner which was fine. Waiter started off with 10 minute wait before finding us for drinks. Appy took 20 minutes to come out, once nearly done I wanted to order dinner. Very hard to track down the waiter, had to have busser find him. When my burger came the inside of the bun was burnt to black and very crispy. It is a double patty mushroom burger and I couldn't even taste the meat or anything else other than burnt. I never could flag the Waiter down after that, waved and called for him 5 more times with no result. The hostess brought our bill, never asked how anything was and we left. Terrible experience and 2 stars is being generous. I won't be back unfortunately

I love this place and the food is tasty the but food is insanely expensive. We got a kid sized plate of fries and 4 chicken fingers for $18. Bruh. Give me adequate damn tenders or at least medium sized fries, or get out. HAND FOR SCALE. Bad vibes.

Cool bar with a few arcade activities to play. Tried the dine out menu tonight and thought it was okay. Got the spinach dip, cod burger and the twist flavour ice cream. I wasn’t a fan of the burger at all. I did not like the cheese in it, it tasted like low quality store bought processed cheese. Other than that the spinach dip and ice cream were decent.
