We came in and it was surprisingly empty. We ordered the tater tot kimchi to start and it was delicious. My wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I got the smashed burger. The food was amazing and we will be coming back for more.

Chill atmosphere. Food was great. The smash burger was really good. Super crispy tater tots! Excellent drinks! The prices for happy hour were very reasonable. Our waitress Madison (or Maddie) was very friendly. Definitely coming back.

5 stars ALL DAY LONG! We frequent Bellwether (we should probably join their VIP membership) particularly for their happy hour menu and smash burger and fries. We actually came on this date specifically for that reason. We also recommend the bee knees as a cocktail, but really any of their hand crafted cocktails are a WINNER. We always love how creative they’ve made their menu, but with a nod to traditional favs. We say YES, give them a try!

The service here was amazing! My boyfriend and I came here and celebrated our anniversary. Chloe was super nice and sweet. She knew every question we asked and made sure we were well taken care of!! She really made this first time experience perfect! Highly recommend coming here (and asking for her) for lunch or dinner! The food was amazing as well!!

My friend and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening, drawn by their participation in the Vegan Chef Challenge for June, which featured three additional vegan items on the menu. We started with the potatoes and the tofu-based pistachio dip, both of which were mouthwatering. The potatoes were the best I’ve ever had! For our entrees, we chose the vegan don-don noodles and the green fried tomato. Both dishes were yummy, but the don-don noodles stood out. I’m not much into fried stuff. We ended our meal with a delectable vegan chocolate cake dessert served with ice cream. Overall, the meal was delicious and the service was excellent as well. I hope they consider adding these additional vegan dishes to their permanent menu. Highly recommend!

The waitress was nice BUT she was the bartender as well and the drinks she made were horrible 🤧 passion fruit something and lavendar something. We tried again after the passion fruit but they were equally horrible..We could barely stomach them both . I also got a medium steak was too tough for my liking BUT the brussel sprouts were good. 👍🏾

With only one night in Jacksonville, I chose Bellwether based on all the amazing reviews. It also happened to be Jacksonville’s vegan chef challenge month. The food and service were fantastic. I absolutely recommend the Korean fried barbecue and house made green curry. Highly recommended

Yelp
I started on the steak before remembering to snap a photo--too tempting to wait! The fries were crispy and delicate, and the steak was cooked exactly as I requested (medium well). Now, for the showstopper: dessert. The Triple Chocolate Cake truly lived up to its name--served with chocolate ice cream, chocolate crumbs, and a side of melted chocolate. It was the perfect way to end the night. My only (very minor) critique was the cream on top of the cake--not quite chocolaty enough for my taste and room temperature--but I still finished it all, balancing the flavor with the extra chocolate and ice cream. We were seated in a private room as part of a large party attending a conference. Our assigned waitress was incredibly helpful and attentive with all our menu questions. The private dining space had a peaceful, relaxed ambiance. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
If you're looking for a place where great food meets even better service, Bellwether is where it's at. We kicked things off with the kimchi tater tots, which were crispy, flavorful, and just missing a little extra kimchi love -- I mean, if you're going to bring the heat, don't be shy! We actually asked for extra kimchi, but it showed up on the bill as an extra charge, which would've been nice to know ahead of time so that is where I deducted 1 star. For the main event, we split a steak frites medium rare -- and let me tell you, it was chef's kiss perfection. But here's where it gets even better: they split the steak for us without us asking and didn't charge extra. Our waitress was a gem. She gave us a heads-up about the appetizer size, saving us from potential over ordering. And the drinks? Smooth and delicious. We had 2 rounds of the Passion Fruit Daiquiri and Tokyo Heights. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the kind of place where you linger a little longer just because you can. Kimchi Tater Tots 4/5 Steak Frites with salad 5/5 Passion fruit Daiquiri 5/5

Yelp
Their cheese grits are the best - a must try. Atmosphere is an A+ - cocktails are excellent

Yelp
4.75 Random Tuesday eve before a show. Environment- Clean, open, modern Service- Sat at the bar, the bartender was awesome, good convo. Drinks- Delicious, she made her own recipe up that we opted to try- gin, rosemary, cherries. Food- We split the poutine and Bellweather salad. Poutine came out first, good but wish there was more gravy (and assuming we could have asked). Thinner fries. Salad- super flavorful and delicious- fresh. Will be back.

Yelp
We needed a place near the stadium for dinner before opening night for the Jacksonville Icemen hockey game. Obviously, it's not really that close to the arena but close enough for an early dinner and still time to make the first puck drop. I opted for the sheep style burger with truffle and Parmesan tater tots. Perfect flavor profile (think In-N-Out animal style) and those tots were bangin'. I dumped the fresh and perfectly crispy tots out of the silver cup onto my plate and it was a way bigger serving than I anticipated. Our server was on point - friendly and attentive. We decided to split a dessert and chose the hummingbird bread pudding. Trust me when I say save room for this creation. DEEP FRIED - yes, all CAPS - bread pudding, salted caramel sauce, coconut ice cream, and toasted coconut crumble. Best dessert I've had in a long time but I will confess I'm a big fan of coconut. My only critique is that Bellwether is not closer to my house. If you need someplace to eat downtown, Bellwether should be on your short list.

Yelp
Pros: When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated (though we didn't have a reservation, which the hostess asked us about). As for the atmosphere, it's a pretty intimate and chill vibe with good music. The food came out hot and fast. My husband ordered a Smash Burger and I got a Fried Green Tomato Sandwich (which I've never had, but the sauce made it taste even more amazing). Our waitress was attentive (though she was juggling bartending AND waitressing), and the bus person was equally polite and focused. For the amount of food we got, the price wasn't bad. Overall score: A+

Yelp
The food has a Korean southern comfort fusion feel to me. We went for an early dinner and there were many Korean-fusion options on the menu, but also southern comfort foods. The server was excellent, the restaurant had a farmhouse industrial type of decor and the food came out quickly and tasted great. Delicious pineapple bread pudding topped with coconut ice cream!

Yelp
We visited bellwether on a Thursday night. They gave us a table in their private room because there were 18 of us, which was awesome! It can be hard traveling for conferences because we can't always book ahead, but these guys were very friendly and accommodating and actually seated us after their last seating which was incredibly kind of them. We started with a few appetizers, including the poutine which was super tasty. I also got the shoestring fries with truffle and Parmesan, and while they were good fries, I felt they didn't have quite enough seasoning. For mains, I got the ginger miso carrot salad. The portion was good for dinner, and the ingredients were fresh. It was really a great salad (coming from someone who doesn't usually order salads as mains). A lot of my colleagues got smash burgers which they said were good, and someone got their special which was a steak burger, and that looked amazing. I would've considered a burger, but I had a hard time justifying 20 dollars for a double smash burger. I think this place has everything it needs to be great, but I think that they're a little on the simple-yet-overpriced side at the moment. Nothing on their menu was overly interesting or special. That being said, it's a nice place and the service was great.

Yelp
My coworker and I wanted to try something different for lunch. We walked here and was pleasantly surprised. The service and food was great. I had the single burger sheep style. I added bacon. The tots were great. The burger was fantastic and the bacon is thick style country bacon. My coworker ordered the truffle fries. I would return for those alone. I I'll definitely visit again to try something different.

Yelp
Early reservation for 6 before catching a show at FSCJ. Parking is on the street and there are plenty of lots nearby the restaurant. We were greeted immediately & were seated. The place was empty but quickly filled up as I suspected there were several other tables that were catching the show. Our group started with some of Bellwethers interesting cocktails. I had the Firebird which had a great Smokey flavor, made with mezcal & a large ice cube which I really enjoy so your drink doesn't get watered down. They also had some other nice signature drinks which our group partook in. (Happy Hour is daily from 3-5 so we missed that but I'd go back another time for it. ) The menu- our group liked so many of the items on the menu we decided to order several and share as appetizers. The kimchi tots were amazingly delicious. It was a huge mound of tots with cheese, some large pieces of pork, & kimchi. We also had the smashed cucumber & feta, dips & lavash and the Korean fried broccoli. Everything was wonderful and very flavorful. There was plenty to share which our group really appreciated. We were kind of stuffed but decided to order a few mains. A friend & I shared the shrimp po'boy. They split the order in the kitchen and even gave us each our own order of shoestring fries. The shrimp were cooked just right however I felt they were too salty. The person I split the dish with agreed. Everyone else loved their dishes. I believe they ordered smash burgers, & salads. We were running really late for our show & our entrees hadn't come out yet. The server offered for us to settle our check so we could leave right after we were served. This proved to be a real time saver. This was our fault as we languished over cocktails, and appetizers before putting in our main order. During our visit, we were checked on several times to see how everything was by someone other than our server. Our server was very attentive even though the place was busy she never forgot us. She filled up our water glasses several times & brought over more flatware for our mains. Overall, we had a great experience & will return. Too bad we didn't get to see the dessert menu maybe next time.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant for lunch with my food besties and the ambiance and food were both worth the hype. I was surprised they weren't packed due to the location and time that we arrived but I also appreciated not being overwhelmed with people since we had a baby with us. My food was light and delicious and the flavors of the fish complemented the sides well. of course we tried the desert which had an interesting spin on Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Definitely recommend checking out this place if you're in the downtown area

Yelp
Small random menu choice. Food was nice but not somewhere I would rush back to. Was convenient for the theatre in Jacksonville

Yelp
Great craft cocktails! I was not super impressed with their food. Kimchi tots were ok, shrimp po'boy was just ok, my favorite was the fried broccoli appetizer! Liked the ambience and service was good!

Yelp
What a lovely place to have lunch! Madeline was an absolute sweetheart who made it such a pleasant experience. Aside from being really good at her job, she was so sweet to our toddler daughter. The interior is modern and beautifully designed and the food is to die for! I highly recommend this establishment.

Christopher G.

Yelp
Chill atmosphere. Food was great. The smash burger was really good. Super crispy tater tots! Excellent drinks! The prices for happy hour were very reasonable. Our waitress Madison (or Maddie) was very friendly. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Modern designs and a sleek interior. Simple. The service was fabulous. The food, ok. It's simple American foods stylized in a slightly upscale manner. I overall enjoyed the food. I would definitely go back to try the shrimp and grits because the pork belly in that dish was beautifully crispy and flavorful.

Yelp
Went in around 8 pm on a Thursday night with reservations but it wasn't crowded. Service was quick a d staff was friendly. I went with the special burger of the day, it was really good! The table ordered Brussel sprouts, which were also good with a smokey mushroom taste. Quite place at the time we went, great for groups or a date night.

Yelp
If you're going to the symphony or a broadway show it's walking distance from the theater and a great choice for dinner. We started the meal with boiled peanuts and tater tots. Both seeped in flavor. You're able to choose from 3 different flavor profile for the tots, we decided on their spicy version. Delicious. For mains, we had steak frites, the don don noodles with blackened chicken and their special burger for the night. I had the don don noodles and I definitely will be ordering again. It was spicy but for me it was perfect, left the spicy after burn but wasn't so hot I couldn't continue eating them. The steak was perfect cooked to order, the fries were delicious, highly recommend the Parmesan truffle, and the burger I was told was great. The service was quick, their happy hour lasts until 7pm even on a Friday and the restaurant is stylish with large format tiles, brick walls and an open concept.

Yelp
I went to lunch with a friend. It was my first time. It was pretty crowded, but we got in early and didn't have to wait long. My friend ordered Poutine (Canadian gravy and cheese fries). I'm not a huge fry fan, but I could eat this everyday! What an awesome dish. I ordered a cheeseburger and a cup of roasted red pepper soup. The soup was amazing and I loved the burger too! The soup was creamy and hot and the burger was cooked perfectly with all the fixins! My cocktail was delicious! I was very pleased with my first visit. I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items;(
google avatar

Yelp
A 20 dollar Burger and fries that was the same quality as McDonalds. Extra star for cool interior.
google avatar

Colleen M.

Yelp
We ended up here for lunch midday on a Monday and it was really the perfect spot for a quick, but not rushed lunch. The service was awesome & attentive, the space was clean with modern decor & art, & best of all my food was simple but delicious. There were so many items on the menu that sounded like they'd be worth trying AND were items I don't ever see at home i.e. boiled peanuts or kimchi tots. The fries look better than they taste because they were a bit salty, but my BLT was so flavorful I didn't even care about the fries. I probably should've waited until my stay in Jacksonville is over because I have a feeling I'll be back to this restaurant before I leave.
google avatar

Sara T.

Yelp
The service was great and we loved the Firestarter tequila drink. The apps were big enough to share. The roasted broccoli was my favorite!
google avatar

Desiree H.

Yelp
I recently went here again for my nieces birthday. The menu is pretty limited and prices do not support the food quality. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends

Robyn M.

Yelp
The food was very overpriced! I spent $18 for tater tots that were supposed to be kimchi authentic. There was no kimchi just a frozen bag of tots placed in a fryer with melted cheese and horrible sauce. Salad was terrible, I asked for no onion as I have an allergy. Salad came with onion. My husband's shrimp with grits was cold and barely edible. "kimchi tots cheese curds, pork char siu, house kimchi, togarashi, scallions, sesame, gochujang aioli $18" NOT AS DESCRIBED ON MENU $120 dinner for food we couldn't eat. I won't be back!! They should pay me back .

William F.

Yelp
This is a gem if you happen to find it! Decor and atmosphere is perfect! They did a good job. I stumbled upon this place one late rainy evening and I am so glad I did! I sat at the bar where the staff was very accommodating. I ordered the short ribs that came with kimchi, which I have never really tried but trusted they knew, it was absolutely amazing! Go out of your way and try this place, you will not be disappointed at all! Can't wait to go back and explore the menu fully!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch. All got salads which were delicious! It was very quiet, not busy mid afternoon. Good music.

Yelp
Mother and day lunch date and we was literally the only customer for a while but we got there pretty early. So we enjoyed the beautiful res and we sat next to bar. The drinks was goooood and the food was good also. The private restroom was a great and very clean. Our server was extremely friendly. We had a great experience
google avatar

Dameon M.

Yelp
The service, food, and atmosphere are always amazing. I love the poutine. You can't go wrong with any of the drinks. The short rib is great. The prices have been going up but nice treat every now and then.
google avatar

Yelp
Happy hour!! Highly recommend!! I had the single burger with an old fashioned! Burger was medium cooked and delicious!! On potato bun with lettuce and tomatoes. Old fashioned to my surprise was was well poured....yesssss!! The service was great and I met some great people at the bar, this was my second time here and does not disappoint.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first visit. I was greeted promptly by the hostess. My server was also the bartender. Since I was on a lunch break, I asked for a mocktail. They do not have a mocktail menu so it was dealer's choice. I told her I wanted something refreshing and she made me this beautiful drink. I also had the poutine which was a great portion and delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere was nice as well.

Yelp
Looking for something within walking distance to my hotel. Stumbled upon bellwether, it was not busy due to weather. Bartender made an amazing drink off the drink menu! Amazing flavor and didn't disappoint. Ordered boiled peanut for an app..... great flavor and lite as it seems that all the portions are large..... Ordered the short rib, which was probably the best damn combination I have had in a while. Egg, grits and kimchi mixed perfectly with the short rib! Absolutely an amazing experience of flavors that mixed together unexpectedly. A must when in town and I will definitely visit again!! The staff were pleasant, friendly and talkative.

Yelp
Lunch for 7. - Ambiance (4/5) Clean and modern, but no particular theme. Gets loud at peak time. - Service (2/5) Friendly service, but so so so slow. One person in my group joked they must've been making the kimchi. In fact, we wanted dessert but literally ran out of time (almost 2 hours for lunch). - Kimchi Tots, $14 (3/5) Nothing particularly wrong with this, but it was basically tater tots with a little hot sauce and a couple pieces of kimchi. It felt contrived. - Potato/Leek Soup, $8 (3/5) Flavorful and great texture, but with way too much salt. - Fresh Catch, $26 (3/5) I love fluke. One of my favorite fish to eat. It was supposed to be blackened but ended up pan seared with a little salt and pepper. Succotash was pretty good, lots of moisture. - Value (3/5) The tater tots pricing is egregious, but the fish is great. - Final Word Bellwether is trying too hard to be "inventive". I find fusion often fails in that regard. It's a nice spot with decent food but needs to pick up the pace of service and focus harder on executing the food.

Yelp
There were hits and misses for me on the food. Vegan smashed potatoes were the best ! The aioli had a sour cream taste and the potatoes were delish with the sundried tomatoes. I want to eat that again asap. Popcorn plant based "chickn" had a great texture of crisp and chew but flavor was mild. I also do not prefer mustard with that. Maybe a barbecue or spice would have helped. Cornbread was a bit dry too. The mocktail crafted for me was delicious but they charged me more than what an alcohol beverage was during happy hour so that hurt a bit. The macaroons of the day WON blueberry pB and J flavor. My Little wants these. Definitely a lot of the good things that Black sheep had. The place is pretty and ambiance inside was pleasant on a hot day. The crowd built slowly so I know a good arrival time for Friday. Service was all STAR rated - Thanks Elle! And Morgan remembered me from my frequent Black Sheep visits. I will be back.

Yelp
There is free street parking after 6, and I had no issues finding a spot! It's an intimate restaurant; small and cozy and decorated beautifully. I sat at the bar to order a Togo and have a glass of wine. Happy hour ran until 7, and I got a half price glass of Pinot Grigio with a generous pour! I also got the kimchi loaded tots with cheese curds that were on the happy hour menu. Absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor! I loved the sauce and the cheese curds. They rolled out their fall menu literally the day I went and I tried their new crispy salmon with potatoes and a truffle cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The bartender worked very hard to make everyone happy and was so kind. I want to come back and try a burger!

Yelp
Went yesterday for lunch. Everyone got their food before us, especially the people who came after us. Took 40 minutes for food. Saw the same food we ordered go to tables who sat and ordered after us. Food came out wrong. Ordered chicken and got tofu. To fix it they brought out chicken 10 minutes later in a to go bowl.
google avatar

Alaina R.

Yelp
Loved the chicken sandwich with pimento. Only downside was that half of the sandwich didn't get much pimento but would totally go back and try again or something new. Reminds me of the old Black Sheep inside as far as decor goes co-worker said I should've tried the burgers but those aren't my fave.
google avatar

Susan P.

Yelp
Stopped in here after a courthouse run. Needed somewhere to set up my laptop for a few minutes. I hadn't been here before I've been to the sister restaurant. Several times the menu was OK I wasn't really hungry. I ordered a salad and it was pretty good. it was definitely not crowded although I think I got there a bit after lunch rush, the service was good and the ice tea was good. There were some things on the menu that I would look forward to trying in the future, note, this is not like black sheep, where you order at the counter there is full table service here. Parking could be a bit of a challenge, it is an easy walk from the courthouse though.

Ed B.

Yelp
Delicious food. Friendly service, lively ambiance. A bit on the slower and more expensive side for lunch/portions, but good quality, fun for special occasions.
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
Reservation made two weeks in-advance. Requested dining room. Added in note - celebrating birthday! Arrive on time and host verifies our reservation, without any friendly chatter & seats us in bar area at a table. Bartender was our server in-between dishing drinks. He was doing his best ... but, felt a bit overwhelmed. $170 bill for 4 adults - could've spent a bit more attention on us. Meals were good. Nothing particularly remarkable. Grits were smooth. Shrimp good seasoning. Mahi was fresh catch. Burgers ok. No offer of a tea refill. And, zero acknowledgment of celebrating birthday. Why ask for occasion? Why offer notes section? Why ask about seating preferences? Just a bit of a letdown when two of the four of us had never eaten there before and all of us had not had dinner there beforehand.
google avatar

Yelp
I really really wanted to be able to give this spot more stars. But I just can't based solely on the food we received last night. My daughter had given me tickets to the Carole King musical at the TU, and since it was her birthday, I decided to treat her to dinner before the show. Made reservations, even though we were going early. Didn't appear that we needed them, but it was nice to be sure. We were seated quickly and given water for the table. We both ordered a glass of wine (half price during happy hour). We opted for the Poutine as an appetizer as my daughter had never tried it before. It came out quickly, and was a large serving. Certainly big enough to share for more than 2! The fries were nice and hot and crispy. The gravy was poured on top. The cheese "curds" were not curds at all, but just one large mass of melted cheese. I'm used to the poutine having actual curds. It was good. Nothing really outstanding about it, but enjoyable. My daughter ordered the shrimp and grits, which I was also going to choose, but opted to do something different so we could share a bite or two. I ended up ordering the Steak Frites. As we had fries with the poutine, I opted to switch out for mashed potatoes. My daughter really liked her shrimp and grits. Creamy grits, with shrimp that were huge! The bacon lardon was a nice salty addition. I really did not care for my dish. The mashed potatoes looked odd. They were brown and not at all appetizing to look at, nor did they have a good flavor. They could have used a ton of salt, and not sure even that would have helped. They tasted like they had been sitting around for a bit. Disappointing. The steak was cooked properly to med-rare as I asked, but it also had very little flavor. Salt - what is wrong with adding salt while cooking? It just was so bland and even the sauce really had no flavor. For $42 it was a big let down for sure. Chloe, our server, was on point and very nice. She even brought out two small cheesecake bites for my daughter's birthday with a single candle. Very cute. Not sure I'll go back. Truly not that many things on the menu that would cause me to return. $100 dinner and left unimpressed.

Yelp
Hubby and I needed a place to celebrate 5year anniversary and decided to check out somewhere new for us. He's vegan so finding places for him to eat is a challenge let alone multiple options. Bellwether had many options for him to pick from. Reservation in hand we arrived in time and promptly seated. The had a happy hour going on so we got some cocktails and app. The app was falafel and boiled peanut hummus. I was seriously concerned it was going to be like peanut butter but it was very mild abd delicious. The falafel was hands down one of best have ever had. The cocktails were strong but not very large. Dinner ordered we chatted, sipped cocktails and watched people coming in. The dining room is modern and hip. There is a nice bar and a patio out front as well. Entrees arrived pretty quick and we were both very happy with our selections. Presentation was good, portions good and flavors were spot on. This isn't somewhere we would hit up every week but it's definitely going to be added to the date night rotation.

Yelp
If you like Asian fusion with a side of American, you'd like this place. Unfortunately the happy hour food menu catered more towards KimChi, burgers, and an open palette. The drink happy our was amazing. I guess I was so hungry that I didn't picture my burger on gluten free bun. It was so good. Fries were good also. Service was fast bc there wasn't a wait. Ambiance was quiet and in intimate, I could hear what my sister said. Def overpriced. 3 start for sophistication * I also realised they're maybe more food options, but we weren't looking to spend $30 on a plate. Also, feed the meter.

Yelp
Food was amazing and our server was attentive and very friendly. I would def recommend this as a must dine.

Yelp
Came here before a concert at daily's place, we had a reservation for 5 and were sat right away! Service was great - quick, efficient, and friendly! The food was amazing! Not pictured are dishes our friends got; can't remember what they ordered but I know there wasn't a single item that any of us disliked! Very cool place with great food and great service! I can't wait to go back to try other menu items, but will definitely be ordering the poutine!

I've had this place on my list "to visit" for some time now. Decided to have lunch with friends today and give it a try. I'm glad I did. It's located downtown so bring your quarters if you are visiting during the week day. (The meters have text to pay options as well). Unfortunately I decided to travel there whike it was raining outside. Besides that once I got inside the aesthetics of the restaurant were really nice. Clean and modern feel. It's a nice size. With sectioned off areas. There was more than enough room to remove a chair from the table and accommodate my child's stroller. Now the food...I ordered the steak frites. For some reason I thought this was a steak cut into fry like pieces (should have paid more attention to previously posted pics), it was a whole steak with chimichuri sauce on top with a side of fries with ketchup and a mayo based sauce. The fries were fried just right. I was unpleasantly surprised by the steak. By the looks of it I just knew I wouldn't need sauce. I was wrong. Even with the house sauce I still needed something else. The steak itself was flavorless which was unfortunate cause it was cooked to perfect temperature. I asked for A1 but they don't have it so the waitress brought me a hot sauce. I eneded up dipping the steak in all 3 sauces to eat it. Now dessert was the opposite. I ordered the cheesecake rangoons. What a great spin on cheesecake! They come with a caramel and cranberry sauce. A-Maze-ING! Fried perfectly and the inside cheesecake filling was the right amount of warmth to turn a bad day, good. I got a picture of the short ribs one of my friends ordered. She pretty much cleaned her plate so I take it, it was good. The other dessert we ordered was the cinnamon toast bread pudding. The peaches on the side were so fresh and had a rich flavor as if they were soaked in something. The bread pudding itself was flavorful. There are other dishes I would like to try so I'm sure I'll be back

Yelp
We had tickets for Aladdin at the Jacksonville Center for Performing Arts so we stopped at Bellwether for dinner before the show. It's in walking distance which is ideal. I highly recommend making a reservation before going - there is not a lot of space and it was pretty busy when we arrived. I waffled between 4 or 5 stars but eventually settled on 4 for a few reasons. Drink service was really slow- especially when the restaurant was essentially empty by the end of our dinner. It too 10-15 min to get drinks for even something as simple as a glass of wine for my "catch of the day". The wine arrived after I'd already finished my meal despite ordering it right before the entrees arrived. I also noticed some inconsistencies in their cocktails. I ordered an asylum which was very good and arrived ungarnished. My husband ordered the same thing about 20 min later and his came garnished and was much stronger. I did order during happy hour so maybe that was why? We were also charged full price for both despite one of us ordering during HH. Not a huge deal. Food was good. Loved the fries with sheep sauce and kimchi tots. I had the catch of the day and unfortunately for me got a fish bone in the first bite. My dinner mates all very much enjoyed their meals. Overall- I'd still go back and give them another try.
