The 23 Best Restaurants In Phoenix 2024

"At Belly Kitchen & Bar, a two-story restaurant in Central Phoenix’s Melrose area, you’ll encounter fusion takes on Asian cuisines, like the Vietnamese clam chowder and bao buns stuffed with Korean fried chicken. Order one of the normal-size cocktails while you wait for your date with the meet-cute you had at the farmers market. If it’s going well, you can always suggest splitting a pitcher of their Thai chili-laced margarita recipe, the Spicy Hydra.  " - lauren topor

I really enjoyed the electic choices on the menu, and we felt that the food was very tasty. Thumbs up for the Korean Fried Chicken, the soft crab shell steamed buns, and the pork spring rolls. The prices were reasonable. The service was pretty slow - our waiter did not seem that busy, but he took a long time to check in, get our check, and then get our credit cards. I had to wave him over. The available parking is super tiny, so finding street parking can be rough. the restaurant itself is in a small two story building; it has a nice, cozy vibe. The rooftop outdoor dining area is enjoyable on a cooler day.

Google
Such an awesome experience. The food was excellent, my favorite being the pork belly and egg claypot. Cocktails were creative and fun- “The Sound and The Curry” was the standout for me, but the espresso martini was a close second. I forgot to ask for names, but everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly and more than happy to answer questions. Service was quick but at no point did I feel rushed. Will definitely be back!

**WARNING** There are only five parking spots (one is designated handicapped) -- but there is a park behind the restaurant. It is a very small place, which is likely why they take reservations. We got there for an early dinner last Saturday (around 4:30) and luckily not only did we get a parking spot but a table, too! Despite the small, tight fitting parking lot, this place was really cool and I would highly recommend it. The entire place (upstairs & down) is one of the smallest places we have had the pleasure of dining in, but the ambience packs a wallop. There were a few seating places downstairs, there is a long stairway to go up, and it felt a bit "tight" but there is a patio. The atmosphere was what I would call hip. Very colorful decorations and one thing I noticed immediately was that they had stainless steel straws for the drinks! That alone makes me love this place. It is not a large menu but dang, everything tasted wonderful: the cocktails, appetizers, meals, and oh, the desserts. Yum yum yum. All three of us ordered something different which means we had a wide variety of flavors to taste and every single one was great. The entire evening was more costly than we usually spend Saturday nights, but w/o a doubt, it was well worth the money. We had three different staff visit our table throughout our time there and all were friendly. We will definitely hit up Belly again.

First time here atmosphere and service was good but I ordered BEN TRE BAYOU NOODLES | $24/ & STEAMED BUNS KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN | $14 for the Ben Tre Bayou Noodles the shrimp was RAW, took a few bites until I showed the gentleman at the bar that the shrimp was raw he agreed and apologized was kind to take it downstairs and get me an order of. Steamed Bums Korean Fried Chicken. Took it to go because I was full. When I got home I took one bite and noticed the chicken was absolutely RAW! I won’t go back sadly first and last. But will say the guy at the Bar was very sweet. Not sure what the cooks are doing but please don’t rush and cook well!

Google
Everything was delicious but foodies have to visit for the crispy pork spring rolls. I went on a Monday evening and the atmosphere was great and place was buzzing. There was a line out the door by the time I left. The servers were busy but the food and drinks all came quick and they were great about checking in.

Google
Tiniest parking lot so beware. Cool little spot. Small dining space with good amount of bar space. Better chance of getting a spot to eat during lunch and early evening. Got packed around 530 on a Monday. The food was good. Nothing was a wow factor but we were all pleased with how good it was. The fried chicken was incredibly crispy! The cocktails were pretty tasty - would come back for happy hour for another cocktail. The service was super friendly the moment we walked in. Would like to see how the menu changes over time and try new things!

Google
I’m very torn with this place because the service and atmosphere were really good. If we had just ordered the drinks and appetizers I’d give this place 5 stars. But our entrees were a miss. Vegetable curry was just okay. The pork belly clay pot is very salty as others have commented. The string beans with Bonita flakes we couldn’t eat it was pure black vinegar couldn’t taste anything else but our server was kind enough to refund that dish no questions asked.

Google
What a HIDDEN GEM! it’s a cute little Asian fusion restaurant with a simple but phenomenally unique menu from seaweed fries to curry cocktails to kimchi burgers and miso ranch. The atmosphere is adorable with a little roof patio with strong lights and view of phoenix. The service was absolutely wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the staff. Everyone helps to take care of you. Try the PORK BELLY WITH EGG! It reminded me of real street food you’d have in Asia or in your grandma’s house 😋

Yelp
Heads up, this place is super small and only has about 4 parking spaces. I would recommend to make reservations due to how tiny the restaurant is. Also, the seating area is upstairs and there doesn't seem to be any ADA accessibility. We made reservations and were seated immediately. The cocktails were unique and delicious. On the other hand, the food was just okay. I personally would only come back for the drinks.

Yelp
I tried this place really hoping it was going to be good. But it just wasn't. Maybe I tried the wrong things but I feel like if a place is good you should be able to try anything and it will be good. The set up is very different. You can sit downstairs but it's SUPER loud and only sits a few people. There is more seating upstairs. Still very loud but manageable. The decor is very cute a nice vibe. Bar is upstairs. We got the pork fried rice it was Super spicy which we did not expect. There is no real description. We did tell the waiter we didn't want anything spicy a they didn't mention that. We also got the wings with fish sauce. They were ok not crispy. We had the spring rolls also were just ok. Nothing special. And the cucumber salad. I have had so much better for way less money. It's over priced in my opinion. Maybe I just need to try some other options but still over priced. I didn't take pics i wasn't expecting to leave a review.

Yelp
I came here to eat. I love Thai food and saw that this place was a hip fusion spot, so I wanted to check it out. The ambience is off the meter here. I would definitely come back for cocktails in the cozy moody space. I ordered the vegetable curry hot pot and the papaya salad. My companion ordered the fried chicken bao, The papaya salad was incredibly dissapointing, I've ordered this salad all over the US and this was the weirdest version. It didn't taste right, the sauce did not have that delicious vinegar and spicy taste that I expected, and the texture of the fruits and veggies was off. It seemed like they might have been previously frozen. They weren't crisp at all. Thankfully the server, Uriel, noticed that we didn't eat it at all and asked how we felt about it. When I told him that it was bad, he took the salad off of our bill. Kudos to him and the entire staff. I interacted with three people and they were all fantastic. The veggie curry was delicious but I was surprised when it came out like a soup, all alone. I had to order a side of rice to make it into more of a meal. For about $15, I expected that the rice would be included, especially because this is pretty standard. Sometimes the rice is even at the bottom of the hot pot. Here you had to pay an extra $2 for rice. My companion had the fried chicken bao. He said it was good but nothing to write home about. I also had a cocktail, I can't remember the name, but I thought it was great. I like the ambience here, but I wouldn't come back to eat. The food is fine, but not great and a little expesive for what you get. It was raining on the day I visited, so I didn't even see a rooftop patio. I bet it would be a fantastic place to sit and have drinks with friends.

Yelp
This place was really good! They were able to accommodate us in a busy Saturday. Food came quickly and was amazing. I has the crispy soft shell crab the only thing I would add is that it needed more protein. I did not take a photo of the egg claypot but my husband loved it, his only complain is that it was "too hot" . Also really liked the drinks and the vibe of the place. Will def come back

Yelp
It's been a few years since the last time I was here and I remember liking it much more than this time around. The restaurant is small with only a few tables so if you're going on a busy night I'd suggest a reservation. The green papaya salad lacked flavor, the mushrooms were just ok but I did enjoy the pork belly.

Yelp
I'm a big fan. Friendly staff, consistenly good cocktails, yummy menu with plenty of veg friendly options. Loved the Yuzu & Miso cocktail- a little tart, a little savory, adorable served in a soup bowl. Cucumber salad is great to share- generous portion with crispy cukes tossed in a spicy vinegar sauce with yummy crunchy bits. Tofu fish and chips are also really good, esp with the addictive tartar sauce- big enough for at least two people. They have a nice little outdoor patio for when the weather is nice. But imho, the best seats are at the bar where the knowledgeable team is happy to chat or answer questions about the menu. Recommend!

Yelp
Strong cocktails, intimate low-light bar (very small), and great sharable plates. The two servers that helped us were very kind and offered great recommendations. For visiting this place, I recommend making a reservation.

Yelp
Grabbed a nice weeknight dinner here and liked the variety of interesting sounding dishes. It was my second time at Belly but it's been a few years since the last time. We started with the papaya salad and mushrooms for the table. I loved the spice on the papaya salad and the mushrooms with tofu were really tasty. I wanted the pho, but was intrigued by the kimchi burger so I got the burger with a cup of the pho on the side. The menu said the burger came with fries but it was tots. I didn't mind because tots are always delicious. The kimchi burger was really good. It seemed smashburger style with two thin patties, some cheese and kimchi. I wouldn't get the small cup of pho again. Although it came with some garnishes to add in, I felt like it was missing more and just tasted really sweet on its own.

Yelp
The Pork Belly Clay Pot is the best, our favorite dish by far. Belly is a cute little spot. It's sort of tucked away where you might not see it if you're not looking. It's fairly small, limited seating inside, outside, and at the bar, but it's worth the visit for sure! We're always impressed the dishes come out HOT, and we've enjoyed all our orders. We'll be back!

Yelp
This place is amazing, as I have taken different friends to Belly on four separate occasions. I am vegetarian, so this review is based on that. I would say the best dish, hands down, are the seared oyster mushrooms. I went once, and they did not have it, and I would have to say that was the major disappointment (and hence down from five to four stars). Also, I love the green papaya salad the first three times I came, but the last time, there was something missing. The veggie curry is good but not too memorable. Due the unpredictability of the menu, I am unsure if I would return. However, I would still encourage anyone to try this place at least once (especially for the shrooms).

Yelp
What's up everyone!! Went to check out this Vietnamese restaurant, and on the real, it was fire Check it out. Braised Pork Belly & Egg Claypot - Yoooo, this came loaded up with Coconut Juice, Garlic & Fish Sauce, then topped off with a fresh Cilantro Chili and Pickled Mustard Greens. Flames FR Must try for me. Soft Shell Crab Bao Buns - Another favorite of mine, stuffed in a Boa Bun with Spicy Mayo, then topped with a Papaya Salad. Soooo good!! Must order. Crispy Spring Rolls & Spicy Asparagus - The deliciousness just kept in rolling. Stuffed with Local Pork, Woodear Mushrooms, Mung Bean Noodles with a. Yelp
First time visiting Belly last night and absolutely will not be my last.... We started with the crunchy mint spring rolls paired with the Vietnamese zest buffalo wings and both were out of this world. Next time I would try the Szechuan Dry Rub wings as I heard that those were great as well. For main courses we split the Pancake beef roll and Melrose Broken noodles (add chicken) and this was my favorite part of the meal. Add a little sriracha to this and it'll change your life. Our servers Uriel and Chris were awesome...super knowledgeable and accommodating on specials, best drinks, and even cracking some jokes. I live a few blocks from here and have passed it about 50 times before going in last night...I wish I could go back in time and enjoyed this even more! Go give them a try.

Yelp
Belly offers modern Vietnamese cuisine with cool, hipstery vibes. I usually stray away from these types of restaurants because I'm Vietnamese myself, but since it had great ratings, I wanted to be the judge of that. My friend and I arrived on a Sunday at around 1pm and we were the first guests to arrive. We shared a few of their most popular dishes. -Soft Shell Crab Bao: The soft shell crab was good. Light on the batter and crispy. But there wasn't enough crab and it was too much bao bun. The slaw was a bit over powering but the flavor was not bad. -Pan Mi Hangar Steak: I prefer traditional baguette bread but they had Noble bread, which wasn't bad but there was just too much bread. The steak was tender but again, not enough of it. The authentic flavors were sorta there, but the bread was a huge downer. -Spring Rolls: My favorite thing that we ate. It was piping hot when I bit into it. I like that it came with fresh lettuce and herbs so that I can roll it up. The fish sauce was tasty too. I forgot the name of the cocktail that I ordered but I think it had pandan, rum, pistachios, and a few other things. It sounded good on the menu but I wasn't crazy about this. I didn't taste much of the pistachio and it was a bit too punchy for me. Overall, I wasn't impressed. It's a no go for me.

Yelp
A friend suggested this place the other night-- and I'm soooo happy I went. It blew my mind. I definitely have a love for every type of Asian cuisine, so I'm unsure which way that sways me but it definitely swayed me toward loving this place. We ordered way too much food for 2 people so hard a lot of left overs. Our server warned us the crepe was a large portion-- it was a different version than the banh xeo (crepe) I'm used to but I loved it so much. The crepe itself was heavier and perfectly crispy and had a ton of crab filling inside. I love the lettuce wrap and fish sauce dipping sauce. The herb salad was more traditional and came with nuoc Cham which was light and fresh and a great addition to a heavier appetizer. The crispy fish my friend picked, I liked it a lot. It was very good- but the other 2 dishes were my preference. The cake was extremely dense but had a great flavor. I enjoyed it a lot but not sure I'd get it again-- I had the Arnold Palmer type drink with matcha and the Malibu Barbie drink with gin. Both cocktails were insanely good. I went here two days ago and have been thinking about it ever since. I can't wait to come back!

Kathrine D.

Yelp
Food and vibes were great! The service was great. Only crime is seeing a Banh Xeo on the menu for $34... that was criminal The buns were yummy and reasonably priced with a good portion size! Their egg rolls were good but again pricing was nuts - but also me being viet and having egg rolls that I could have just fried up at home plays a roll too. I knocked off a star because their nuoc mam sauce was a little questionable and the prices were making me question my existence. BUT if you're wanting good vibes and a fun place to go with friends w yummy food I'd still go

Yelp
What a little gem this place is! Its in a small building at the corner of a cross section. Very limited parking in the lot but if you park in the next street there is plenty of parking. Sat on the patio since the weather is slowly getting less scorching here. Ordered a margarita and it was spicy and delicious. We ordered a bunch of dishes to eat and everything tasted great! The crab crepe was by far my favorite and the favorite of the table. The pork belly was good. The sauteed mushroom and broccoli and kimchi were all good as well. Our waitress was very attentive and came to check on us often. Good place to hang with a small group as well!

Yelp
BELLY!!! Omg amazing! We had a dinner reservation (which I recommend due to limited seating), and it was amazing! Our servers were great and helpful with service and the menu. Everything we had was fantastic, so you can't go wrong with food or drink. The restaurant itself is so cute and they had just added a really cool moving sign that displays the music playing and the wine list. If you haven't been to Belly, you need to go soon.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
We sat at the bar and had impeccable service. The cocktails are inventive and their selection of fernet alone shows you they care. The bartender paced our evening per our request and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Hipster scene with great asian food is a winning combo.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Love Belly!! Stopped in last night for a couple drinks. Super cool vibe, REALLY good cocktails, the bartenders are always friendly. We ordered the Spicy Hydra, Matcha Matcha Man, and the Shiso Pisco Martini. All were great! I'd order all of them again!
google avatar

Adia C.

Yelp
Great creative and eclectic aesthetic. The food was delicious and unique with a fusion of flavors. We at on the nice rooftop and the service was attentive and amazing. Oh yeah, this one had good music playing too!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely love the ambiance here -- posh, hip, upscale, decent drinks menu (not to mention strong and tasty sips). I like the food options and some are good / tasty. From my tasting perspective (Asian background), the dishes needed a little extra oomph (fish sauce & spices)...don't be shy with these flavorful ingredients -- it helps to bring out the speciality of Vietnamese cuisine. The service was good & super friendly staff & helpful with recommendations and inside tips. Over all I enjoyed our dining experience. Some issues with parking space initially, but we can park in the parking lot to the east of the restaurant (on Camelback road). I will come back again soon & will try other dishes. I didn't take many pictures this time -- will be back!

Yelp
Belly always delivers. Service, food, and drinks 5/5. The jackfruit fried rice is the best fried rice you'll ever have. Great place to take a foodie.
google avatar

Kelly V.

Yelp
I think my group was expecting more than what this place delivers. It's very small, reservations are generally required and you get the table for 90 minutes. The seating is so uncomfortable, you won't want to stay longer. The drink menu is very inspired... Unfortunately, it's more inspired than the actual drinks. My drink came with a charred and actively smoking cinnamon stick that was neat at first but became overwhelming. My crispy fish might have been great but tasted on the old side. The jackfruit bao was fantastic. It didn't live up to the hype for my group. Most of the seating is upstairs. It feels cramped and crowded. Parking is minimal - I think there are four spots total.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
Wendt here on a Friday, I work super close, so the commute was not bad at all! Everything including food and service was spectacular. Unfortunately, the accessibility is poor. There are only about two or three accessible parking spots, and once you get in, there is a massive staircase you have to climb to get up to the restaurant. It was very challenging for the elderly people in my group. Like I said, though food was amazing, the bao buns were good, I think they could've used a little extra sauce because it was a little dry. The garnish on top made it a tasty crunchy treat. The jackfruit and mustard, green fried rice was different and interesting! Jackfruit was delicious, overall, if you're looking for good food in the Phoenix uptown area, this was a unique spot, and had great espresso martinis! If you have a hard time with stairs or walking, this may not be your place!
google avatar

Chad P.

Yelp
This was a real treat! A friend brought me here and it does not look like much from the outside. Sure enough you go inside and it immediately comes across as a very upscale but fun place. I was a little bit confused at first but as time went on, it all became more clear. The menu has a good variety of Asian fusion dishes. Friend and I got the crab bao bun and the pork fried rice. First of all, the crab bun was just excellent. Soft and full of crab and other good ingredients. So tender and delicious with so many flavors. If you enjoy crab, get this! I was expecting the fried rice to be good of course but it really blew me away. I don't know what kind of spices they put in there but it had just enough spice as well as so much good flavor from the pork and other vegetables, I was blown away. It was the best fried rice I've ever had in my life. Like I was savoring it and trying not to eat it so fast because it was so goddamn delicious! Service was good and the atmosphere was very loud. But the food just makes it so worth it. Definitely want to go back and try some other things!
google avatar

April A.

Yelp
Had another fantastic meal at belly, I brought my daughter who is vegan and she got the jackfruit banh mi sandwich she loved it! I got the steak banh mi which was Fantastic loved all the flavors. The pork rolls were also so good I have to get them each time I go. Loved the new art work on the walls. Bartender/server was helpful and on top of everything.
google avatar

Stephanie E.

Yelp
Ambience is dim, few dining tables and only upstairs. Between the three of us we had Tofu fish and chips - which was two slices of tofu deep fried and what appeared to be tater tots form the freezer section across the st, Pho which i was told was the worst she had ever had and green papaya salad - a pile of shaved papaya and little else with soft shell crab - which was mush and devoid of flavor- I won't go on and on about how bad it was - but i won't go back. $4 for a glass of club soda with a lime. No.
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
We sat upstairs at Belly on a cool winter night. I was salivating watching servers walk from the downstairs kitchen to the second level, eyeballing every dish that was brought up. Belly's menu is masterful, filled with unique / idiosyncratic dishes. I ordered the jackfruit fried rice before I got cold feet. I looked at the menu again and could not pass on the pork belly egg clay pot. I'm glad changed last minute. It was so good - I wish it was bigger. The shrimp and Vietnamese pizza apps looked amazing as well as everything else I saw around me. The vibe was just right for a Saturday night. This might be my new favorite hang restaurant in PHX .
google avatar

Fei S.

Yelp
As an Asian person, I'm always skeptical about upscaled Asian street food. But damn, that steak banh mi was great! The meat was juicy and flavorful and the sauce was the perfect complement. They grill the meats when you order and the kitchen area smells delicious. 1. grilled hangar steak banh mi 2. crispy spring rolls (local pork, woodear mushrooms, mung bean noodles. 2 rolls with fresh lettuce for wrapping & nuoc cham for dipping)
google avatar

Fred J.

Yelp
Yeah......we can't get over how this place tricks you into thinking it's about the food and expects you to pay $19 for a bowl of chicken phó and $31 Banh Xeo ...oh and $12 two egg rolls. If I don't see my Asian peeps eating here and lining up....that's a red flag. Being from Asia myself and lived in Vietnam...I'm amused at the level of great reviews on here. As per some of the other reviews here, the service is slow to acknowledge you and with that....enjoy those drinks; because it's a rooftop bar...and not a restaurant that makes you think ... Vietnam. So Belly up.
google avatar

Austin J.

Yelp
Came here for date night on a Saturday. We made a reservation and arrived early since we knew the parking situation is limited. We were pretty much seated immediately. The vibe here feels like a Tokyo ramen style shop with very trendy decor and art. We got here before the dinner rush so we pretty much had the bartender to ourselves. The food was described to us as shareable family style dining so we opted to try a bunch of the different options including the spring rolls, seared king mushroom with a side of rice, ranch fried chicken, and the crab bao buns. Honestly, they were all wonderful but the mushrooms , spring rolls, and bao buns really stood out the most for me in that order. For drinks I decided to do the spicy hydra and the belly flop. Both were really delicious but I think the hydra was my favorite. I love the balance of the refreshing cucumber with a hint of spice. All in all, I really enjoyed the aesthetic, food, drink, and service of this place. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was I felt it was just slightly over priced for what it was. They do offer really good specials during the week though, so I'll definitely be back to try those!
google avatar

Allie B.

Yelp
If you are craving hearty, flavorful Vietnamese food, this is the place to try! The quality of ingredients are fresh and filling. The restaurant itself is trendy and intimate. Our waitress recommended 'orange wine' which we had never tried before, but ended up loving! The pork fried rice is excellent and perfect for sharing!

Yelp
A new Phoenix FAVORITE for me. Like WOW delicious!! I've seen Belly at the corner of 7th and Camelback Avenues but until a couple of guys told me about it last night I hadn't checked it out. So glad I did! It's small and intimate so o suggest reservations. The parking lot holds a few cars but public parking for light rail is right by it. I had a couple small plates - I think meant for two but I was dining alone and I gobbled it all up - and am happily stuffed! I had a steamed bun with a soft shell crab in it, and a crispy-lime chicken (surreal! Orgasmic!!). Sooooooo good! I also had a plate of sweet potato donuts with a creamy coconut sauce. This is a cuisine that generally intimidates me but it was so good I'm going to keep going back to try new things! I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Lucia C.

Yelp
Very good! I tried the mussels with coconut milk as well as the Pho. Definitely a cute spot as well. A little bit on the pricier end, and it was annoying you have to pay extra for carbs (any rice, noodles etc), but it was still really good! The mussels with coconut milk curry was delicious and well balanced. The pho could have used a little bit of spice and additional flavors, but overall they were both good! With respect to allergies (gluten and dairy) here are my thoughts: - Gluten: Very clearly labeled GF menu and LOTS of options! Great for an easily GF spot...I love when restaurants are clearly labeled...no awkward questions and pressuring for the server. A clearly labeled menu always merits another star! - Dairy: So many DF options. Definitely not a problem here. * Note: I am NOT a celiac, just intolerant, so I do not know about their cross-contamination procedures

Yelp
Small little place, two stories. Great food, great music. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but when you get inside, the decor creates a cozy cool environment.

Yelp
I'm ambivalent about this place. I like that you can make reservations and even specify which area of the restaurant you want to sit in (sit outside during the cooler weather). I liked that the menu items were unique and each had their own signature. The mushroom dish was unique and felt healthy. The staff was generally friendly. The parking lot is non-existent (don't even bother--go directly to the Park & Ride lot behind). I think what left me a little "blah" about Belly was the forced hipster vibe that meant things had to be difficult. For example, the small wooden stools without a back. This is one of my main annoyances with bars/restaurants. Is there anything that communicates "We don't give a F@&!" about our guests than those? I arrived after my guest had already been seated (he's a big boy) and he was doing a balancing act to stay on that stool that was designed for a Size Zero model. Seriously? We get that you want to flip tables as fast as possible (the number of times we were told to grab a drink at Valentine down the street after was the biggest sign that they want you out). The dining room itself is another issue. The backlit bar is cool-looking for sure. And the space is intimate. But man, does it get loud (am I sounding really old right now? LOL!). I think part of the problem was that I was meeting someone for dinner here that I didn't know super well. We needed to have an in-depth conversation and the design and acoustics of Belly's space didn't make that too possible (did I mention those stools?!). As I wrote in the intro, I wish we had sat outside to be walled off from some of the interior chaos. Another thing that I found odd: the art on the walls. Belly is an Asian fusion restaurant that the menu supports. Yet they had this really cheesy Southwest art on the walls. I get this is Arizona but it stuck out like a sore thumb. Who thought this was a good idea? My guest commented on it, too. I think now that I've been inducted into Belly, I know what to expect. This is a place to grab a QUICK meal and drink. Don't plan on lingering (they really don't want you too). Food is solid (albeit pricey) but that's about it. Most of the experience leaves you a bit cold.

Yelp
A cute place in Phoenix, the address may look downtown but it's not exactly downtown, but parking is still limited. The place is small so making a reservation is recommended. There's a few table on the patio as well but it's probably too warm for summer. Their menu is made to be shared in family style, portion is on the smaller side. Got the fried rice, wings special on Wednesdays and the pork belly clay pot. All were good but especially the fried rice! It gets pricy if you order a lot of dishes. Also it's a bit loud indoor upstairs.

Yelp
My husband and I had a roadtrip from Cali to Sedona. We were on our way back to Cali and stopped in Phoenix. After yelping for so long, we decided to test our luck and tried this place out. didnt have high expectations at all but the experience turned out pretty good. This place reminded me of NYC vibe, bar with food. such a lovely spot in the middle of (boring) Phoenix haha sr locals! We ordered 2 traditional Vietnamese dishes. They were delicious! of course there was some twists but overall very good food. The ambiance was modern youngster. we really liked it. Service was on point. our server was super friendly. This meal perfectly ended our roadtrip:)

Yelp
Great food, cool place, awesome staff. We shared a variety of dishes including the fried chicken, soft shell crab baos, skewers, and spring rolls. Everything tasted amazing.

Yelp
Cute little spot in the heart of Phoenix! Their Chilean sea bass was a little fishy but it had good flavor, and when u dip it in the garlic lemon sauce, the fishy aftertaste skidaddled off your tastebuds like a Tesla high tailing away from bitcoin! The Chinese broccoli was mmm, mmmm, mmmm!!! If u go on a cooler night, sit outside on their cute upstairs patio!

Yelp
GREAT INTIMATE DATE SPOT! So be warned this place only has 4 parking spots, but it is directly next to a Park and Ride if you go East on Camelback! This place is quaint and dark, perfect for dates. We sat upstairs next to the bar and I loved it. I wasn't feeling adventurous enough for a cocktail, so I got the Horchata, and I loved it. The presentation was great for all the drinks here. The menu is a bit small, but every dish we had was packed full of flavor and it's great for sharing. There are a lot of vegetarian options! The vibe of the ambiance and food here kind of reminds me of Glai Baan, so check that one out if you like Belly, or come here if you like Glai Baan!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite new restaurants in Phoenix. It has a trendy interior with timelessly delicious food. I'd come here just for drinks, because their cocktails are that good, but I don't think I could resist having dinner too! Their prices are very affordable for how high-quality the experience is. I'd recommend this to anyone as an impressive date night choice, especially for plant-based options. Service was fabulous - their timing was perfect and their recommendations were on point. I'm happy we were told to order family style and share plates. One dish is enough food for one person, but the variety of good options makes it more fun to expand and share. We loved the wings from the daily special, the jackfruit clay pot, and especially the bánh mi cha lua. The depth of flavor, whether with meat or veggies or cocktails, is amazing. Everything on their Instagram makes me drool, so I'm sure we'll be back soon. My only complaint is that I'm inclined to order what I've already tried, because it was too delicious....

Yelp
Fantastic date night spot with a unique yet sexy atmosphere. We sat at the indoor/outdoor bar which was fun to watch the bartenders. I think they have great service because everyone contributes to serving, including one of the chefs who talked to us! Everything tastes fresh and like they put a lot of thought into the menu. My favorite we're the bao buns and spring rolls and don't get confused by the pricing, they were HUGE! My boyfriend and I were stuffed by the end of it. Definitely a must try in Phoenix!

Yelp
one of the trendiest places in PHX, featuring a more modern take on vietnamese fusion cuisine. DEFINITELY try the king oyster mushroom dish; I'd return for that alone. the ambiance is so refreshing, very low lighting with neon accents, vibes are very similar to the more hipster'ish spots in NYC or LA

Yelp
The service here is wonderful. Ordered online, then went through the drive thru 15 min later and it was ready to go. Cinnamon horchata was bomb. Food was hot, fresh, and packaged well. I did not give 5 stars because it was pricey and I honestly did not love how any of the dishes tasted. I was so excited to try this place having driven past it many times, but the taste was disappointing. It was a unique flavor profile that I wanted to like, but just could not get into. However, everyone's palette is different.

Yelp
Food is excellent, love the sharing plates style Of eating. Cocktails are tasty! Bartenders are fantastic and servers have all been lovely. The patio is nice too if you can get a spot. Lovely spot for lunch or a date.
