Google
Popped in here for a late lunch because my regular spot was closed. Pleasantly surprised at the super fresh food with excellent service. We asked for cookies and they put some fresh in the oven for us while we ate our food. So we got fresh baked cookies after our lunch!

Google
We each ordered 3 tacos platter and tater tots. I found the pork belly was kinda bland, and missing a bit of acidity. Great service, enjoyed their soundtrack (oldies).

Google
The idea is admirable but the products are okay. The bowl is a mix of small bits of steaks, soggy fried, and fried eggs. The steaks are bit too tough. The chips and salsa are so-so. I wish the salsa is more flavorful. For the burrito, you get a taste of Japanese sweet teriyaki flavor mixed w Mexican guacamole wrapped in a burrito. Interesting experiment I would say. Come and give it a try.

Google
Ok, the tacos are delicious. Done deal. Bonus: The founder was working on Mother’s Day so her team could be home with their families. What an amazing person. She also knows how to recommend an order got you! You can trust her implicitly, always and forever.

Google
Great food and surprisingly decent pricing. Each Taco was pretty filling. Top two taco Recos: Steak & Egg and Shrimp & Avocado. LA Cob is a must. Ask for the Habanero hot sauce too.

Google
I was happy to see this new eatery in Rockridge. The place is bright and happy and the mural is interesting. I've tried a Pork Belly bowl ( with an egg on top), a Steak and Egg taco, and a Surf Taco. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, everything else including their Gochoojang sauce was super yummy.

Google
Veggie bowl with habanero. Tater tots good too.

Google
I went to the other location on its last day and I can't wait to try the new location. It was my first time there. I got a shrimp burrito. It was worth the money. It was maybe the best burrito I've had. It was so good. I'll definitely be a regular. The service was also fantastic.

Yelp
Cannot get enough of this place! The food is so good it makes a full person crave more. Customer service is excellent they are super nice to you and she puts in a lot of effort. Will be coming back!!!

Yelp
I forget how good this place is!! Friend was in town and he loves this place. This was the last place we ate together when he moved too. I haven't been to this new location even though they been here for 2 years. Other location you would order at the counter and sit but this place is table-side service which I like. We ordered the steak+ egg tacos (my absolute favorite), Korean hot chicken burrito, cheese quesadilla and I think it was the hot chicken fries - newer menu item. And their chocolate chip cookies are so good! I recommend all dishes above as they did not disappoint. Plenty of seating inside. Great decor. Owner is the sweetest! Optional outdoor seating- great for the summer. Street parking. I'm pretty skeptical about parking my car in Oakland especially with all the breaks in but it's all worth it for this place!

Yelp
Ambiance- clean and sleek Service- great Food -Devine So happy we found them as they moved out of downtown oakland Food is great, hot chick sandwich was not so hot, it can use more hot sauce and more slaws Cali fries are so delicious and so much other side to supplement the dish Price is a bit on the higher end

Yelp
We've been wanting to go for over a year and finally had the chance today! Food was great, the variety of taco flavors was really fun, from Korean hot chicken to pork belly. The kids loved their panko-crusted chicken tenders and quesadillas. Service was great too, the owner was attentive and the food came out lightning fast. We're looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
On the popular college right off rockridge bart, which is nice because there is not much street parking. Step inside to about 8 tables for 4, 2 tables for 2, and one six person circular table by the huge front window. I went at night, but it should be bright inside during the day. It is a korean fusion flavored taco, burrito or on fries kind of place. I started with a special bowl of pork belly tortilla soup. Beef that tasted like kalbi on fries, a lightly spiced chicken salad, surf and turf on fries, and a guava lemonade. All very good, for about $50. Perfect to meet up with a friend during a rain storm. There were two very nice ladies behind a bar counter height area to either pay to go or they seat you and leave you menus and some water and cutlery. I do wish they had stools to eat and drink there, but no alcohol. I would go back if i was in the area, and not craving Zachary's pizza.

Yelp
I wanted to try a place for Father's Day that we haven't been to before and chose Belly. I'm happy to report it was a great choice. I was super hungry so I ordered the steak and egg taco, a surf taco and the Korean hot chicken sandwich. My wife had the surf and turf burrito and we shared a classic fries. Everything was unique and delicious. The steak was cubed and super tender and the sunnyside up egg on top made for a perfect "brunch" taco sauce. I'm sorry I started eating before taking a picture because the presentation was beautiful too. I then dug in the hot fried chicken sandwich. Hostestly, it was the best tasteing chicken sandwich I've had since Bakesale Betty's closed downtown. The seasoning and crunch were fantastic and the chicken was hot and juicy. This is going to become a go to lunch spot for me because of this sandwich. I could eat one every other day! The surf (fish) taco was my least favorite and it was still very good. I didn't taste my wife's burrito but she said she'd order it again. And the classic fries were made my favorite way, shoestring and crispy good. I'd love to try them in one of their many burrito choices. While she was alone in the front and very busy with all the Sunday customers, our host/server was gracious and helpful and did a fine job. We'll definitely be back. Maybe even every other week! So good.

Yelp
Alright, I'll be honest we mostly came here due to proximity to our AiBnB. It had the best reviews and we didn't want to worry about parking after dinner as we'd gotten lucky and gotten a spot right outside where we were staying. So massive plus that it was within walking distance!! We arrived probably around 7:30 (?) Thursday evening and wandered in - was a bit concerned at first as that was only one other table occupied. However, that was for nothing as after we were seated more people started showing up. Anyway, the decor was fun and modular and the one employee/server we interacted with was very friendly and accommodating. We were crazy hungry and I wanted to try everything as we had plans the rest of the weekend (my cousin got married) so I knew we would ben able to return. I really wanted to order the loaded friends but was kindly advised by the server that that could have fed four...of course 4 of their tacos was probably close to the same. They were feraking massive. Like warn a girl. Anyway...the garlic fries were by far the best - living in the midwest now I miss a good garlic fry. I don't know why they taste better in Cali but they do. Everything else had very much a samey taste if you get my meaning? It was all good, but all the different toppings and such all tasted very similar. You'd thing that between the Korean Hot Chicken, Pork Belly, Shrimp+Avocado, and Surf there'd be some separation but there wasn't. Again all good, just...samey. Overall, we had a good experience (colored by a long day of travel and exhaustion).

Yelp
We stopped by Belly in Oakland on a Sunday night for dinner and it was pretty much empty with some people ordering to-go's. This feels like a Korean and Mexican cuisine. When we first walked in, the server greeted us with a smile and led us to a table by the window. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting with some cute neon signs on the wall and nice music. This menu offered a variety of items from fries to tacos/burritos and some great drinks. We ordered the LA Corn and a beef bowl. Both were amazing and delicious. However, the portion size and the price wasn't matching. I would definitely go back and try their other items.

AJ L.

Yelp
Loved this place! Food came fast and there's so many unique options. One thing that stood out was that the tacos are pretty big so it's pretty worth it for the price. The inside is not too small and pretty casual. Service was good and it wasn't too busy inside. I also liked you were able to choose flour tortilla (extra 25 cents or something) or corn tortilla which I loved.

Anna G.

Yelp
Amazing food and equally excellent service. My partner and I each got a 2 taco platter and he had to order a third after he finished. What a treat of an establishment. So glad we came in.

Matt J.

Yelp
We went to Belly because Andre Iguodala cited it as one of his favorite restaurants, but it exceeded expectations. They are super flexible with substitutions and made an exceptional version of their Chinese Chicken Salad with tofu, extremely appreciated as a vegetarian. Plus, the tofu was perfectly cooked and infused with great flavor while often tofu is a bland afterthought. We live in SF but it is always at the top of our list for East Bay visits.

Abril D.

Yelp
Went for the first time today for a quick lunch after passing by it all the time. I was seated immediately and my order was taking very promptly. The hostess, the owner I believe, was super nice and helped me choose what to eat! The interior is very pretty and they have an extensive alcohol menu, which I would have tried if I didn't need to work right after. Liked the korean chicken taco! Steak and egg taco was nice too but a bit too heavy for my liking. The green salsa was very nice and unique, not spicy. Side salad was very yummy too.

Darlene E.

Yelp
Got four different tacos: Steak with egg Korean Hot Fried Chicken Shrimp Pork Belly This is the order I rank them in with the steak being my favorite, but I order all of these when I go here. I would recommend you try all of these. Their salted caramel cookies are hella good too.

Gail J.

Yelp
Less than a block from the Rockridge BART station, the is the perfect place for a light, but delicious dinner. I thoroughly relished my Shrimp +Avocado Taco on a corn tortilla. (Loved the crunch of the multiple tempura shrimp and the tang of the slaw.). My husband's steak and eggs taco was also tasty, but messy. We'll be back!

Anthony W.

Yelp
I've been to Belly a couple of times for some excellent tacos. I was surprised to see that they had added burgers to the menu. I'm a burger guy, so of course I had to try it. Not a bad burger. The addition of kimchi is an interesting touch. I'll certainly order it again.

Yolanda A.

Yelp
I ordered the belly smash-burger and the chopped cheese fries. Both of these were a disappointment. The burger did not have anything special about it, the flavor of this burger was completely thrown off by the taste of burnt meat. It was basically the bun, burnt meat and a scoop of Kim-chi , nothing special. I could've made this at home. As did the chopped cheese fries they had the same exact burnt flavor as the burger. Overall, very disappointed with the food at Belly. One positive thing and why I gave them 1 star is the ambiance. It is small and aesthetically decorated.

Yoon P.

Yelp
Clean modern atmosphere Tofu vegetarian options Good healthy options Order Mexican oriented dishes like burritos and tacos and they're delicious. I had ordered a Veggie Bowl and was disappointed with the lack of flavor and freshness. Service was prompt and courteous. We will return again.

Lili M.

Yelp
I was craving Kimchi Fries on New Years Day and searched up that Belly had them. They have 2 locations and their website said that the Rockridge location was open on New Years *cue the happy tears* I put in my order online and it was ready within 10 minutes. When I arrived, it was there, ready to go with my name clearly on the bag. They even offered a sample of what I'm guessing was a Salted Chocolate Chip cookie. It was HELLA good. The service was great. They greeted me right when I came in. The vibe was nice. I would love to dine in soon since I love the area!

Lily L.

Yelp
Went in with no expectations but was surprised by how good the Surf bowl was. The bowl didn't look big but I was very full after finishing. The rice was easily the best thing and I wished they put more of it in the bowl. The only thing is the price is a bit high but the food is solid.

Steven Z.

Yelp
friendly, competent, fast service. delicious food...I had the pork belly bowl. the interior is modern, clean and attractive. Prices are good. Great location. I enjoy eating here.

Shayla B.

Yelp
The tacos are extremely tasty but the overall value for the price doesn't quite match. I'm actually a fan of Belly and have been to their flagship location in Uptown a few times in the past. Admittedly, I haven't been back there in a few years, but I've always dug the concept. When I found out that they were opening a location in Rockridge, I was super excited since it's closer to me. Belly specializes in Asian fusion cuisine and they do it well. This location in Rockridge is stylish and cozy. It's really colorful and has more of a bar setup compared to their other location. They have beer on tap and wine for purchase, but they don't serve hard liquor cocktails. I stopped by for lunch and I was the only person there during my entire visit. The lady who served me was super sweet. It seemed like she was the only wait staff there, and understandably so since it wasn't busy at all. Ended up ordering two tacos: The Surf and the Cali. The Surf is their version of a Baja fish taco, and I enjoyed it. The fish had a nice beer style batter and the toppings were fresh and added some nice flavor. The Cali taco was all good and came with steak pieces, fries, and guac on top. Really liked their guac. Although I'm not really a fan of having fries in my tacos, I felt like the fries and the rest of the toppings melded really well together. The tacos are really tasty and I can really complain about the taste because it's on point. So, here's my gripe with this place; the price tag. After having those two tacos, I was still left feeling hungry. It costed about $15 for two tacos before tip. If I'm paying $15 for two tacos, they need to be worth that price. Although these were good, they weren't worth that much in value. And let me just say, EVERYTHING here is expensive. Sides cost between $7-$20 and their burritos are $17-$20 each. I understand that this is Asian fusion and their menu is very innovative, but that's just too damn much for something that I could easily get elsewhere for almost half the cost. There's nothing else that warrants the high prices. No upscale ambience, no above and beyond service, no unforgettable experience. It's just a casual spot that serves pricey (albeit tasty) Asian fusion fare. I wouldn't be opposed to coming back here again if I was really having a craving, but this would be more of a "let's splurge on lunch today" kind of meal for me.

Yelp
Convenient, clean, crisp space with plenty of 2 and 4 top tabels to suit your group. Love how informal it is, nice draft beer list (I think lots of local options). Food is made to orderish. I love tacos so went for the Pork Belly and the Surf (crisp coating on the fish) and was not disappointmed by either. I love that our server warned me that some folks thaught the pork belly was a little fatty (uh, it's pork belly). It was just the right amount of food for me. My dinner companion was a bit disappointmed that his Surf and Turf Bowl sat on a bed of fries, but no rice. I think the menu stated it had fries, but that it was a "bowl" caused him to believe there would still be rice. I am not mad about it and will be back when I need to fill my belly (see what I did there?)!

Connie V.

Yelp
So satisfying. It was my first time in this place and I was impressed. Good food, nice location, and excellent service.

Rose A.

Yelp
I love going to belly! Especially for the spicy sweet chicken. The owner is so friendly too :)

Emily W.

Yelp
Belly, a Korean Mexican fusion restaurant located in Oakland combines ingredients from both Korean and Mexican cuisine, so I was excited to check it out. However, I was disappointed with several aspects of the restaurant. The atmosphere at Belly is trendy and modern, and the interior design is visually appealing. The employees were relatively friendly and welcoming! However, some of the cups smelled like floral soap. Despite the pleasant atmosphere, the food fell short of my expectations -- the flavors lacked the depth I had hoped for, and the fusion elements often felt forced. In terms of value for money, Belly falls short as well. The prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes. 1. Pork Belly Burrito (spicy honey glazed pork belly, sesame slaw, pickled cucumbers, multigrain rice): Although the burrito had a good amount of pork belly, the pieces could have been cut into smaller pieces. The marinade was good, but the rest of the elements of the burrito did not have much flavor. 2. Steak + Eggs Bowl (steak, fries, fried egg, chipotle aioli, garlic aioli): The beef was extremely overcooked to the point where it made my jaw tired from chewing, and the fries were very soggy and undercooked.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday evening and had a wonderful dinner! We've been to the original Belly in Uptown a few times but this was our first visit to the Rockridge location. The space is very inviting, beautiful print on the walls, super cute and clean. Bathroom was clean, even in a weekend night. It's clear they are good about keeping their space clean all day long. They also had Mrs. Meyer geranium liquid hand soap in the bathroom - nice touch! I noticed it! We had the option of ordering through the QR code or through the regular menu. Our server was Nomie and she was very happy to accommodate either way. So we ordered with her. We ordered the Korean Cali fries, with a steak on the side, to accommodate the vegetarians in the dinner group. We ordered a lot of burritos and tacos and some drinks. Everything was delicious! The great food that keeps us coming back to Belly. I had the pork belly taco and the surf taco. Both are excellent. If I were to have a third taco, I'd likely order the shrimp and avocado taco. I had a bite of that and it was perfectly seasoned with plenty of shrimp and avocado in each bite. Thanks to Nomie for tip top service.

Marco C.

Yelp
I had the Pork Belly Taco and Belly Taco (the latter being their namesake taco, but with a steak filling). The service is great, the ordering process smooth. The Belly taco was very good, I'll definitely get that again. The *pork* belly taco, on the other hand, was not as good - its texture was a bit off, and it wasn't melty with fat like The Chairman, for example. So probably no on that one. + 1/2 stars for having beer on tap, that was a nice surprise. -1/2 stars for the abnormally expensive sides. I totally would have gotten some truffle fries, but $9? And $7.50 for onion rings? Even by Bay Atea standards, that's too much. They maybe need a smaller portion at a lower price point.

Haru W.

Yelp
I've been a Belly customer since they opened their first restaurant in Uptown, and I'm really happy that they now have a location (closer to me) on College in the Rockridge neighborhood, right across the street from Market Hall. The decor is modern, bright and cheerful. The restaurant is very clean and well-organized. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Alice, one of the owners, is often working at this location, and seeing her there is always a treat. The dishes she's created are Asian fusion with freshly prepared high-quality ingredients. In some of the reviews here people complained about the prices and can't understand why a burrito is $15 and up. The food isn't "cheap" taqueria food. If you want a $10 bean burrito, go to Cactus down the street. I am a vegetarian, so I often order the veggie burrito (see pic), that is stuffed full of black rice, cucumbers. Tempura fried tofu, cabbage and other delicious ingredients. I also love the Chinese chicken salad (sub tofu for chicken). My husband orders the steak and eggs taco, the shrimp avocado taco and the pork belly taco. Definitely order the tater tots and fries -they're first rate!! Pro tip: If you order directly through their website for delivery, your food will be delivered by DoorDash, but you won't pay for all the added DoorDash charges.

Katie Y.

Yelp
I heard about Belly from a statement by Andre Iguodala, so I was excited to see a location open near me! We went late one night (8pm). The inside is clean and bright, and the service is really friendly. The tacos were good but not amazing. I generally liked the flavor but found everything to be cold and with too much sauce. But the textures of the protein were really good. The fried chicken in particular was really crisp. They also sell beers on tap. Overall it's a solid fast casual spot

Sherry G.

Yelp
There isn't a lot of Korean food in the Rockridge area, so I was excited when this place opened up. They use a QR code for the menu and you can pay for everything on the website. I got the Belly Bowl, and I would characterize this place as California Korean healthy fast food. With the kimchi aioli, I was worried that it might be too spicy for me, but it was a mild spice and was really more about adding flavor (as the server mentioned at the soft opening). Although I agree with that, the aioli is objectively spicy, so if you can't handle any amount of spice, I suggest finding a substitute because the flavor all comes from the aioli. I like coming here for a quick bite that tastes reasonably healthy. Plus, since I don't eat that much, I get to pack half of it as leftovers in my reusable container, so it's two meals in one! ECO NOTES (Dine-In) Dine-In Dishware: Reusable bowl Napkins: Single-use disposable paper napkin wrapped around the fork with a tiny paper holder. I suggest they see if they can forgo the paper holder to save money (and resources!). Utensils: Metal forks Water cups: Reusable cups, no straw

Anthony D.

Yelp
Ordered to-go the Cali Taco, Shrimp+Avocado Taco, and the Pork Belly Taco. The fillings were all pretty delicious and had good combinations of flavors. I thought that the flour tortilla shell could've had a better bite/texture to it but maybe that's because we got it to-go. With the exception of the shrimp+avocado taco, I do feel that they skimp on the amount of food put into each taco. At the end of the day these tacos aren't particularly memorable and I think the biggest reason why I'm more critical/turned off by these tacos is because of the price. When you charge $6-$7 dollars then there's an inherent expectation that it should deliver on. I'm always going to default to more of the classic/cheaper taco-stand style of tacos, but even in comparison to the more new-age/modern tacos that Belly is more in the camp of, it's hard to convince me to come back and try other tacos from here at this price.

Bloofle F.

Yelp
Surf and turf burrito was 90% fries, with a tiny strip of shrimp tempura and a few morsels of carne asada. Everyone in my party had indigestion because of all the fried food.

Brianna W.

Yelp
3.5/5 This was my first time going to this location, usually I go to the other location downtown, however I'm glad they opened up another location so I don't have to go downtown to get a belly burrito. My go to is the steak and egg burrito and southwest burrito with their. Special verde sauce. It has been about a year since I have been to Belly but I will say the southwest burrito didn't hit the same as it use to. I felt that it lacked a bit of flavor and wasn't the same as before. Not sure if it is the location or maybe they changed the recipe but felt a bit bland. I also feel like their burritos are so expensive now!! Not sure if it really worth 20 bucks in my opinion.

Nadine Y.

Yelp
I've been to the location in Oakland and was super excited to see this location opened up. I really liked how when you enter, you can simply sit at a table and use your phone to pull up the menu to order. It'll have your table number ready and just simply tap what you want, add your payment and poof you're done! The interior of this location is really nice and the aesthetics made the whole place beautiful. Service here was quick, they give you a whole bottle of water so you don't have to keep asking them to refill your water for you which is nice. My husband ended up ordering the Belly taco, Cali taco and shrimp and avocado taco plus some tater tots. While I ordered the korean belly bowl which was delicious. The tacos had the perfect ratio amount of protein/sauce and it wasn't messy to eat compared to other places we have been to. The korean belly bowl was amazing especially after you mixed it all together. Also they use multigrain rice instead of white rice which is a nice variation.

Matt W.

Yelp
Hey, my first visit to Belly! Andre Iguodala from the Golden State Warriors said check this place out. Andre said: "It's like crack!" I had two tacos, the Cali - marinated steak, fries, Pico de Gallo, spicy crema and cheddar and the Pork Belly with sesame slaw and pickled Cucumbers.  Both were creative tacos wrapped in a soft floor tortilla. The Cali was amazing. It tasted similar to the Senor Sisig California burrito. I'd stay away from the Pork Belly offering. It was almost all fat and was to be honest, not very appetizing. The super nice lady who took my order saw that I was not enjoying the Pork Belly taco, so she didn't charge me There are enough options on the menu, so I'll be back to try something different. Super nice people and the space is inviting. Close to Rockridge Bart. Matt says check out this gem.

Symmadar S.

Yelp
Love this place! I originally came about it when there was an outdoor fair in the area and they were giving out samples of the southwest taco--I've been hooked since. Something about their taco tortillas, it reminds me of roti or paratha of some sort. Soft, buttery, slightly sweet and then the taco toppings are just as good. My boys always get the chicken quesadillas and the items are very reasonable priced. It's easy for us to sit in or take out and it's always prepared fresh and quickly. On our last visit, we were taken care of my Susan (I think that was her name), and she was very nice--she always is. I accidentally ordered a regular quesadilla for the boys instead of the chicken and when I brought it to her attention, she happily brought us a chicken quesadilla and let us keep the regular free of charge. To my surprise, my boys actually ended up liking that one more so it was a win/win. We'll continue to visit Belly as it's become a staple in our Monmy & Me days out with my boys! Happy memories were created here.

Sandra K.

Yelp
So satisfying every time! Our favorite here is the Steak Egg Taco. The flavors blend so well and has so many different textures. There's the steak, the crispy string fries, the creamy garlic aioli and the runny egg on a flour tortilla. I personally like flour tortillas and in this case, it's perfect because a corn tortilla would change the overall taste. The kids like the Belly Burrito and the pork belly. They're always happy with theirs. The super skinny fries are different and fun to eat. Parking is a little tricky in this neighborhood. It's my least favorite thing about this restaurant, but it won't stop me from coming here.

Sherry Z.

Yelp
Was roaming around college ave for lunch and happened upon this place. I must say it was a gem to find and if I wasn't looking for food places there is a chance I could have missed it. It is an interesting Mexican Korean Fusion restaurant. I ended up getting the surf burrito and it was a perfect amount of food for a meal. I really enjoyed how the fish was cooked, it still had a nice crispiness to it and the sauce that came with the burrito helped add a creaminess to balance out the spice. I think I might need to come back to try some more of the menu since I was having a hard time making decisions.

Zach B.

Yelp
Crazy good tacos I recommend the Surf Friendly staff, cool vibe to the place. Was not very busy at 4pm on a Thursday Would recommend

Monika C.

Yelp
This is for take out only - we spent over $100 on 2 steak fries, a steak breakfast burrito, tater tots and a bowl. I must say that at damn near $20 per item was definitely not worth the price in my opinion and in the opinions of the people I was dining with. The steak fries looked a bit anorexic in the steak department. Hardly any protein. The tater tots were just tater tots and whatever sauce was drizzled on them was sparse at best. I would never come back here, sorry. I can go ANYWHERE else for those prices for those items and get ripped off just the same. I would have been better off at a taco truck. Sorry, guys. Was not a fan.

Sanjana S.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times and am a fan. You do have to order through a QR code on your phone which I don't love. Everytime I've been it's not super crowded so service is pretty quick. I got the Korean hot chicken taco and the shrimp avocado taco. I loved the Korean hot chicken taco and would definitely get it again. The shrimp avocado taco was also fine but I liked the chicken one better. Overall, I would definitely return.

Brian B.

Yelp
Loved Belly! If I had a slight quibble it would be that everything was a little over-sauced which masked the quality of the proteins. That said, for me the star was the crispy shrimp taco. Yes the prices are on the high side but quality ingredients cost money so I have no qualm there. Nice interior, great outside option in nicer weather, friendly staff and to top it off we fell in love with the plates and cups. We found them online and are going to order some so we can use them at home.

Lamont H.

Yelp
My partner and I walked by and they were serving free samples naturally had to try them and decide that's where we are going to eat. It did not disappoint. I had the steak and eggs, grilled chicken, shrimp and avocado. My partner got the pork belly, Korean fried chicken, steak and eggs. They are huge tacos too great for the price they were in. Atmosphere very chill. Will be back with friends and they have mimosas.

Yelp
I picked up an order from Belly yesterday for lunch and really enjoyed it! Placing the order online was easy. A staff member even called to clarify a question with part of the order. Pickup was seamless. I definitely want to dine-in next time. A great bright space amongst other great local businesses and restaurants. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Bowl. The fried chicken stayed crispy yet moist inside even after picking up a little late and a 15-20 minute drive home. I will definitely be back to Belly to try more from their great menu. Thanks Belly!

Yelp
We're frequent visitors of the original location near downtown Oakland. This location has the same great taste with what felt like bigger portion. We had the fish taco and the Cali taco. They were stuffed with a generous amount of topping and tasted really good. We got our food to go so I can't really comment on the ambiance or service but food was excellent.

Yelp
Amazing food, super friendly staff. Best tacos in town, but if you really want to treat get a bowl

Yelp
I love this place...simple as that. My favorite is the shrimp and avocado bowl. Interior is inviting and clean, numerous drink options and service was excellent. Do not make eye contact with the chocolate chip cookies or you'll be hooked.

Yelp
Belly provides a unique Mexican-Korean fusion meal that takes humble food and elevates it masterfully. Their PORK BELLY TACO is, dare I say, a PERFECT bite that provides just the right amount of heat, balanced with a refreshing slaw on a generous portion of pork belly. If I was only reviewing that one taco, it'd easily be a 5/5. Unfortunately, not everything was on the same level as the pork belly taco and when you're charging nearly $7 for a taco and $17 for a burrito my expectations are going to be high. Steak and egg taco (3/5) - It was cooked well. I just cant say it was anything memorable. Pork Belly Burrito (3.5/5) - it has many of the same flavors as the pork belly taco but the rice and just doesn't do anything to enhance the meal. It's more filling than the taco version, but I'd rather get three pork belly tacos for the same price than the burrito. Belly Cali Fries (4/5) - high price tag for what it is but the flavors are on point! Spicy sour cream gives it a kick while the lime in the guac cuts through the richness. Another delicious and balanced combination that's enjoyable to eat! I just wish it didn't cost so much...

Yelp
I went in for lunch last Friday and it was an excellent experience: Alice took care of us from recommending the best way to order and even how to save a little money. The place is well thought out and very nice. The glassware match the walls and the vibes are immaculate. Might I add the food is really really good too. The Korean fried chicken taco was crunchy and had a good bite of spice to it. The salad and chips with salsa verde was also a nice side to two tacos. Do not forget to get a cookie, they're so gooey and divine and make sure to get it warmed up.

Yelp
EDIT: Alice reached out to us following my review and offered her compassion and kindness to us as parents. REALLY APPRECIATED THAT. Will be back. And of course, the food was top notch as always. Original: Really disappointed in this location's hospitality, or lack there of. We have been avid fans of Belly since pre-pandemic. Because it's Sunday we couldn't go to the other location so came to this one, for the first (and last) time. We walked in to get our pick up order but because our baby had just woken up from a car nap we thought we could actually enjoy a meal out at our Oaktown fave. We walked in and thought, "great, no one's here so we can sit." We told the lady on her laptop, behind the counter we'd stay and eat and she said that it was against restaurant policy for takeout orders to dine-in. We looked around confused because there was NO ONE in the restaurant. She looked at us and said "it creates too much waste." We're already eating out of compostable containers so...? So we took our food and our baby, walked back to the car and started our hour plus drive home. Total bummer.
