Google
Best New York style pizza in the area. The pepperoni is genuinely good and has FLAVOR, not just grease. The cheese is also pretty good by itself. I can't speak for the other toppings but you have to go out of your way to get good pepperoni so I would imagine the other toppings are similarly good.

Google
The food and service here is great. Very friendly staff. We ordered the Quatro and the Mediterranean pizzas. The dough they use is chef's kiss. Good chew, the right amount of salt and the bottom was nicely crisped. Not a single piece of crust was discarded.

Google
After driving 11 hours to arrive at our new home, it was Belmont Pizza to the rescue! Not only was the pizza absolutely delicious with very generous toppings, they also gave us extra paper plates, forks, and napkins to use until we could unpack some kitchen boxes. We'll be back!

Google
New York born and bread. Moved to Richmond in 2017. I have been tolerating what the locals call pizza until now. This pizza is the best I have had in many years. Even better than some New York Pizzerias. if you've never had it I highly recommend you don't settle for anything less. It's obvious they make their own sauce, which has a very nice flavor to it.

Google
Absolutely the best pizza in Richmond. I keep it simple and get a cheese slice with ranch every time, a slice is about 1/3 of a large pizza for 6 bucks. Will never stop coming here!

Google
Belmont Pizza has really gone downhill lately, especially when it comes to delivery. The effort just isn’t there. If they can’t manage orders properly, they might as well not offer delivery through Uber Eats or DoorDash. Last night, they gave my order to the wrong driver. After waiting an hour, I called to check in and was told I’d need to reorder—only to find they had shut off delivery on all apps. Frustrating. Still craving pizza tonight, we decided to give them another shot. The pizza itself was solid, but the rest of the meal was a letdown. My wife took one bite of the salad and immediately said something was off—we had to toss it. And my cannoli? Let’s just say I could practically see through it. Picture attached…

Honestly I was not expecting to be so pleasantly surprised. Got the chicken parm sandwich on their homemade bread and it was no joke top 3 best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The portion was also huge for not too much money so it is a great bargain. My friend got a spinach pizza that also looked really good. Would definitely recommend checking out this place.

Google
Good pizza but don’t get any extra toppings that don’t come by default. Got a pepperoni pizza and it came with 11 pieces of pepperoni. Not all of the slices even had pepperoni on them. Incredibly disappointed.

Yelp
Honestly, some of the best pizza in Richmond. I highly recommend the margherita. This spot is a Richmond staple and they're serving up well-crafted housemade dough with some of the best, freshest sauce you can find! At my big age I tend to shy away from cheese & bread but this stuff is fresh enough that I can bite the bullet and not really have to pay for it! Service is quick. Staff is very laid-back and chill. And the restaurant itself is just a hole in the wall... so walk up, grab a seat, or get your box and keep it moving!

Yelp
My go to spot in Richmond for delivery pizza. They have great pizza. Delivered by Uber Eats.

Yelp
I ordered some pizza for takeout from here, it was absolutely delicious. Their pizza was ready for pick up in about 20 minutes on a Friday night. I like that you're able to do a half-and-half pizza and we chose to get the potato pizza and the Belmont supreme. The potato pizza is a white sauce pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. I had a potato pizza in Italy once, and I've been looking for something similar, and this feels somewhat reminiscent, though I definitely wish that there was a lot more potato. The Belmont supreme, just like a traditional everything pizza, with a good amount of veggies and meat. Overall, definitely super solid pizza and would def get again!

JB S.

Yelp
Best pizza in town. Always crispy and yet soft. Toppings are delicious too! The pos system is a bit aged, but the service is attentive.

Yelp
Pizza: I've had belmont a few times, it's hit or miss, the ingredients are good but it's how they make the pizza, the topppings and cheesecan be extremely uneven or the pizza is cut haphazardly Garlic Knots: the first time I got these they were great and every time after that has been a dissapointment, they keep getting smaller and smaller, the picture attached is the most recent time

Yelp
Quality of food is fine, service however is less than remarkable. To start, I will admit to not asking if additional toppings were on their eggplant pizza but came to find out after picking up the pie that there's meat on it. As someone looking for a vegetarian option...this is not what I expected. I've never in all my life seen an eggplant pizza that comes standard with ham or bacon. When trying to see if I could get a no meat version I was only offered with buying the additional pizza. I ended up tossing it and going elsewhere for what I asked for-- an EGGPLANT PIZZA. Sorry, I'm not going to pay you twice for poorly advertised / mislabeled menu items. Take the ham off the freaking pizza (because who asked for that) or just call it what it is. A complete waste of time and money, I won't be dealing with this place again.

Yelp
Horrible doughy junk. Ordered delivery. No ketchup for fries or fork for salad. Lettuce wasn't cut

Yelp
Excellent pizza. NY style in a deck oven. Not much seating, but most were getting takeout. Ordering is counter service. I would definitely comeback.

Yelp
Did they stop proofing the pizza dough? The pizza is significantly different now. I used to regularly get pizza here but I just can't do it any longer.

Yelp
Pleaseeeee this place is so good ! Def order ahead cause there is a wait ! It's such a good local spot that you are gonna have to wait if you order when you get there. Def worth the wait cause the slices are so big and so delicious ! The prices are very good for such an amazing pizza. The staff are super friendly as well !

Yelp
This place had great pizza, but what was amazing was the mozzarella!!! It tasted incredible! It was pretty small inside and there wasn't enough places to sit outside, but it was overall a good experience!
google avatar

Yelp
This is double pepperoni??? Belmont's pizza has already become so expensive. I expect better.

Yelp
Heard great things about this local pizzeria in the Museum District of Richmond!! Been here twice in the past month. I was slightly disappointed with the margherita pizza (I think i was expecting slices of mozzarella cheese instead), but nevertheless, the buffalo chicken and shrimp were delicious. The toppings for so flavorful, especially the garlic-herb butter on the shrimp one. I ordered the 14" size and it was enough for two meals (or more) for two people! The slices were huge, though the crust is a bit and thick for my liking.
google avatar

Kristin D.

Yelp
I am deeply annoyed by the outdated pricing on your online menu. A 14" veggie pizza is listed at $14.00. I ordered one over the phone. My total ended up being over $22.00. When I went to pick up my pizza, they told me that the online menu isn't right; the actual price of the 14" is now $20.00. Well, then why not correct the pricing on the menu? This is certainly misleading. I accept that the price is higher, but it's just bad business to advertise a different price from what you actually charge. FIX YOUR ONLINE MENU. I will add that their pizza is pretty good. My problem is the pricing discrepancy. I know it's tough to run a food business, but keeping prices up to date on a menu isn't hard and I'd be giving a better review if the problem were fixed.

Yelp
I ordered a large pizza and the taste is very off like it had a bad oven taste.. Almost chemically like they just cleaned it. Our entire group tasted it right away unfortunately. Wish it met all the great reviews I read.

Yelp
Best pizza in Fan / museum district - change my mind. I don't even love pizza but I love this place for pickup.

Yelp
My go to spot anytime I am near Belmont in the city. Don't pass this one up for awesome food!! Today I asked for 2 slices of meat lovers and mannnn there is no way I can finish this!

Yelp
Great reliable pizza. Always hits the spot . We get basic pizzas like the pepperoni and cheese, but also really like the eggplant. Really good value as well.

James C.

Yelp
Just had a pizza from Belmont Pizzeria. Now I am a stickler for New York style pizza and, while a lot of places describe their pies as "NY style", Belmont hits the mark. We got a 16" pie with extra cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. Quite often, when you order extra cheese, when the pizza comes, the "extra" part is hard to find. This pizza had just the right amount of extra cheese. Chewy, stretchy, and oh so good. The sausage was seasoned just right and very plentiful. The amount of pepperoni was also quite generous. Not sure what's in the sauce but it was faboo! Not too tomato-y, not at all bitter or sharp and, best of all, not sweet! Sweet sauce does NOT belong on pizza. Since we had it delivered, I cannot speak for the in house service or ambiance but the delivery was prompt (Uber Eats). I have a favorite pizza place here in Richmond, whose name I will not mention out of respect for Belmont, but Belmont is so close to being my favorite. I love trying new places but I'm going to defer to Belmont going forward for all of my pizza "needs". Some things you just don't replace.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Pizza was great. Crust was appropriately chewy/crispy. I ordered this and fire and hops at the same time. I actually ordered fire and hops first and Belmont about ten minutes later. Belmont arrive about 15 minutes sooner and was AMAZING in comparison. We did a pepperoni only and a ricotta only from each place. Crust from Belmont was superior. Also did the meatball app. Delicious. Highly recommended and will order again.

Yelp
not enough shrooms, crust is alright but a little tough. Good distribution of pepperonis. Friendly staff. Order ready very fast, like 15 minutes after ordering via ubereats. I think their 10in pizzas have been a lot better in my experience. I really like the white pizza with mushrooms and chicken. Their bbq chicken 10 in is really good too.

Parker C.

Yelp
Order delivery don't waste your money. Pizza came cold and floppy as ****. Borderline raw. disgraceful of a pizza company to let something out of their kitchen in that state.

Yelp
What kind of person doesn't like pizza??? A weirdough!! Thanks for the pun John G. Now THAT'S a slice of pizza!! While walking in this Fan neighborhood, taking photos of the artistic murals on the surrounding buildings, our noses were captured and lured to Belmont Pizzeria... it smelled enticing! We snapped the picture of the "king pizza playing card" mural under the neon "PIZZA & SUBS" sign and followed our olfactory receptors to the front of the restaurant! This tiny, obscure pizza joint is all but tucked away in this eclectic district of the Fan. It's not much to look at, frankly; it's next door to some huge dumpsters sprayed with graffiti and a pile of pallets bestrewn on the ground. It's nondescript exterior isn't worth a second glance... but it's not the eyes that will attract you to this eatery, it's the nostrils!! At first we thought the place was closed because it was so dark and dingy inside... there was a wrought iron table in front of the door which bore a sign stating it was only open for takeout due to Covid. The aroma escaping from the restaurant was so intense, our sudden craving for pizza had to be quelled. We dialed the number on the sign and asked for two slices of Italian sausage and cheese pizza. Since we were walking around the streets, we didn't want a whole pizza, and we were glad they sold "by the slice"! It felt like we were in New York City at one of those walk up pizza joints. The nice dude that took our order said it would be 5 minutes, so we walked around the block a couple times and then came back to retrieve our grub! We were expecting a triangular shaped box that fits one slice of normal sized pizza... but he handed us a whole pizza box! When we opened it, to our pleasant surprise, the "slices" were a quarter of a pizza! They were huge!! We literally had to sit down to eat our slices because these weren't the kind you could walk around with and munch on! We planted ourselves on a nearby picnic table and enthusiastically ate away at these divine masterpieces! This was some incredible pizza! The bubbly crust was hearty enough to hold the plentiful portions of melty mozzarella and real, sliced spicy Italian sausage! This crust was a good balance of chewy on the bottom and crispy on the edges. We chuckled as we bit into these hefty slices with the cheese stretching like taffy from our mouths and a bit of grease dripped onto our "plates" (we used the box as our plates!) Audible "mmmm's" emitted from our lips as we devoured this fabulous food! It's remarkable that such simple ingredients that I've had numerous times could be blended in such a tasty combination! Dough, cheese, tomatoes and sausage... but whatever else they do to this pizza is magical! I know I'll be sure to revisit this pizzeria again to try even more varieties of pizza... the Margherita pizza looks inviting!! The price was super reasonable and as I'm writing this review... I'm actually craving another pizza!! In the words of the Terminator... "I'll be back!"

Yelp
Delicious pizza and prompt delivery. We ordered a large cheese and a large meat lovers and the spices were divine. I will certainly order from them again.

Yelp
Belmont Pizza is a good option if you are looking for pizza. Growing up on New Jersey in the shadow of New York City, I know great pizza and since moving to.the southern states back in 2001, I discovered that great pizza is not available on almost every corner, but rather finding good pizza requires a lot of searching (and subsequently finding a lot of bad pizza). This place definitely has good pizza. This is a place where you should seek out if you are in the area and craving some good pizza. If I lived here (I was here on business), I would order from here again. All in all, I would give here four stars. It has good pizza (but not great). Still, I have found that good pizza is often the best you can hope for when in certain areas. Go check them out. Again, it is good pizza.

Joelle J.

Yelp
So good!!! New favorite pizza place in Richmond. I can't even explain how good it was so just go try it yourself!

Yelp
This pizzeria, has earned, every single one of their awesome reviews. Since forever. BEST PIZZA IN RVA 2023‼ Hands down They should offer free cooking classes to other pizza joint owners... ‍ Forget about it.

Yelp
This is now my go to delivery pizza place. (I used to live directly across the street like 10 years ago and when I opened my windows all I could smell was pizza! ) Always well cooked, tasty, and ample toppings. Appreciate that they use Italian sausage. Not the cheapest or the fastest but well worth it. Oh and try the tiramisu.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
I have gotten pizza from this location twice now. Every time it has been delicious. Along with pizza we have gotten garlic knots, garlic bread and a garden salad. All of those items have been tasty. The salads have always been fresh and a decent size. The pizzas have alway come hot. I love the crust and the sauces to cheese ratio. Tonight we did get the wrong order and Belmont was supper apologetic to the point where they did whatever they could to make it right. They felt awful. I appreciate all they did to make it rightZ it truly shows they care. Other than that a great pizza place for delivery.

michael f.

Yelp
sauce is like its made in a spackle bucket The cross is terrible and the overall pizza is just got awful
google avatar

Josey C.

Yelp
I Got the vegetable and I and I called and had them traded out a couple of the ingredients and it came just the way I ordered!! I thought it was an excellent Italian style pizza. Much better than a lot of the places around here. I'll definitely order it again! Also got a Greek salad which was nice I love their homemade dressing

Olivia L.

Yelp
First, I would like to say the pizza is good, but overpriced. However, DO NOT order anything besides pizza from this establishment. It will be low quality and extremely underwhelming. They have a large sign on their exterior stating "pizza and subs" but the subs are garbage. The chicken was gritty and nearly undercooked. They also forgot to add the toppings I had ordered, despite it being on the receipt. Additionally, the listed menu prices are lower than the actual prices they charge. $17 (not including tax or tip) for a low quality sub, fries, and soda is pretty outrageous.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I was looking for a large, floppy, crispy New York style pizza and thought, based on photos and reviews, this would hit the mark. I ordered an 18-inch cheese pizza and added ricotta, prosciutto, mushrooms, onions, and basil. The pizza was $32.50. (2.50 per topping.) We were hungry, craving a good pizza, and fine with the price. Unfortunately, the pizza showed up cold. The only toppings we could really taste were the onions and ricotta. There were maybe 6 slices of mushrooms, and there was only about a dozen slices of prosciutto was cut into .5 inch by .5 inch squares. All the toppings were clumped in the middle, so the outside of the pizza was mostly crust. I was so disappointed. For $2.50 per topping, we should have been able to taste them. Also, for $32.50, plus $4 tax, $5 fees, and a nice tip, the pizza should have been ar least warm and enough toppings to taste. I don't think I've had worse pizza in my life...

Yelp
Wow! Imagine a chilly and cloudy day strolling the Fan with your little one. The amazing smells of Belmont Pizzeria waft in your direction before it's in sight. Then you see the signature pizza playing card neon sign. Your tastebuds water. We ordered a slice of cheese pizza with fries as a topping, per a recommendation, and dang, were my tot and I ever so pleased. The slice was enormous, tasty, piping hot, and we finished every bite. The only reason I didn't give 5 starts is because the employee who interacted with us seemed shy to a fault. I wanted to walk in and feel the energy that matches the Italian jazz playing and good vibes. I'm used to the love in New Orleans where staff and customers become friends after an encounter... She seemed kind of off put to help us (11:45am on a Thursday). Guess she was having a bad day, will still try again with friends and family.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
Love love love it. Total dive with heavenly smells and pizza, and super nice staff. We had the white pizza which was the best we have had in a long time.

Jared H.

Yelp
First time trying and I would say really good pizza. I got a small Margherita pizza. Great flavor, especially the sauce, little flop on the pizza, and the crust was bubbly and crispy. The staff was really nice. Easy parking as well. Inside was a relaxing vibe, if you decide to dine in. Highly recommend trying this spot if you are in the mood for pizza and want a good bite to eat.
google avatar

Johna C.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from the pizzeria, including an 18-inch pepperoni and pepperoncini pizza. It was a delightful choice for our group of five. The crust was absolutely amazing.
google avatar

Nancy L.

Yelp
The eggplant parm sub was mediocre. I'm not sure I'm willing to go out of the way to try other items in the menu. The place was completely dead around 2p. I guess the lunch crowd all left...

Singh S.

Yelp
While the pizza is good, the prices are completely inaccurate. The website and the menu in the restaurant say a 14 inch medium veggie pizza is $15 but it rings up as $20. When I brought this up to the people working the register, they (politely, it isn't their fault, it's the owner's for false advertising) said there is nothing they can do and just said sorry.

Yelp
This review is for the large pizza box. My cat loves the support and comfort it provides. Perfect for lounging or sleeping anytime!

Yelp
Pizza is okay nothing memorable but it doesn't help that we waited over 30 minutes for two slices of pizza

Yelp
Service and food were great We ordered some slices and mozzarella sticks. Delicious. They have seating to sit down and eat or take your food to go.

Yelp
I ordered from Belmont on Sunday after receiving a $10 off coupon from DoorDash in the mail. It's a new delivery service in Richmond similar to Caviar, Postmates, or Uber Eats. Their mission is to have food delivered within an hour, which seemed like a cool idea before I put it into practice. My order time was 3:22 p.m. with a 4:16 p.m. estimated arrival time. In reality, it was almost 5 p.m. before my food arrived (with a snarky comment from my delivery guy after I texted requesting an ETA..), which I guess would've been fine if I had eaten breakfast or lunch. I don't know if that was a problem with Belmont or the DoorDash network, but either way, it was a long wait for fairly mediocre food. I feel like I would've enjoyed their pizzas more after several beers, but sober, they weren't thrilling in the slightest. I purchased two 10" pies because they were around $7.50 and I figured I could save the extras for lunches during the week as well. Also ordered their mozzarella sticks and a chicken salad sandwich. The mozzarella sticks were run of the mill. Basic, fried, filling, fine. Exactly what you'd expect. The chicken salad sandwich needed...something. It was the chunkier chicken and it came with lettuce, but I feel like an inventive mayo spread and some bacon would've helped it significantly. It also could've benefited from better bread. Theirs was fairly bland and limp. Some nice crusty fresh bread would've taken it to the next level. For pizza, I chose the four cheese and a regular cheese with steak. Usually, I love four cheese pizzas, but their combo of cheese (parmesan, mozzarella, cheddar, romano) didn't mesh well. I'd say the steak pizza was much better...but both were greasy with too-thick dough. Slightly thinner dough would've helped so much. I love supporting local pizzerias, and I wish I liked this one more than I did. I'm not opposed to trying them again in the future, but they wouldn't be high on my list for a second chance.

Billy S.

Yelp
Always a pleasure to get Belmont pizza. Since I moved out of the area it's a rare occasion, but one I always look forward to. Great pizza, quick service, friendly staff. If you take your pizza seriously, check out Belmont.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Absolutely the best pizza in Richmond no question at all, thanks to a killer crust and the best quality ingredients. In a perfect world I'd have pics but we ate everything too quickly. Their pickup system is covid friendly, the server who brought my pizzas out was wearing a mask, and the couple other customers were all distant. They do provide delivery to a small area around the restaurant. We've ordered twice and gotten the same pizzas each time: Pepperoni /pepperoncinni/jalapenos/feta and artichokes/basil/soppressata. OMG. Absolutely delicious. Can't WAIT for the world to open back up and take a stroll around the fan on a beautiful day with some of their slices!

Kristi T.

Yelp
The absolute worst pizza I have ever had. I ordered a margarita pizza, 18 inch it arrived ice cold and stale. It was clear the pizza had been made earlier and had been sitting. Several dollops of sauce topped the stale cheese pizza, add some seasoning and that was what $24 gets you from Belmont Pizzeria. I've had many margarita pizza's and never have I seen a basic cheese pizza used. It was delivered cold and stale. To think I spent over $30 for pizza and delivery. I would not recommend this place to anyone. No integrity, sending out a pizza that is old stale and cold.

Emma B.

Yelp
While Belmont has been our favorite pizza in the past, I called to order food and was left on hold for 15 minutes just to order a cheese pizza and garlic knots. I was told it would take 30 minutes to make and got there 40 minutes after calling. Then they told me it was not ready and then I had to wait another 20 minutes. It was actually ready the whole time we were waiting but they did not tell us due to disorganization. It was cold when we got it and this experience was awful 0/10.
google avatar

Casey Q.

Yelp
GAWD I love this place. Really good approximation of NYC slices, with bonus of WHOA DANG that's a quarter of a pie slice size. If I lived nearby Belmont, I'd probably weigh more than I do, so having to actually *go* to the place keeps it manageable. But it's my fave pizza joint in RVA, particularly for slices.

Yelp
We ordered the 18" pepperoni and black olive. Great pie! Thin crust, good amount of cheese, and the toppings were evenly spread. Love the neighborhood and will definitely be back.
