"Inside a family-owned working ranch that dates back to 1892 and shaded by local oak trees, this five-room B&B is packed with charm. The rooms, both in the main plantation-style house and adjacent cottage, are nicely sized for a couple and tastefully appointed with a mix of antiques. (Opt for a room on the second floor for killer views of the vineyard and poppy-filled garden—particularly at sunset.) In the mornings, tuck into a spot on on the wrap-around porch for breakfast. "

Beautiful ranch and bed & breakfast! Beltane Ranch exceeded our expectations. Our first night we enjoyed the chef’s provisions board and a wine tasting right outside our room. The evening was perfect. It was so nice being able to walk the property and feed the animals. The location was very convenient for wine tasting and only a few minutes from shops and restaurants in Glen Ellen. Would highly recommend and we look forward to visiting again!

Amazing place to stay while visiting the Sonoma area. Quiet, clean, peaceful, beautiful. Can walk the grounds, walk through the vineyards, feed the horses, and more. The breakfast was also top notch. Hosts were wonderful too. Highly recommend it to anyone staying in wine country!

If I could live at Beltane Ranch, I would. I had been following the property on Instagram for years and when I finally booked it, I was a little afraid that I had built it up too much in my head. But visiting in person was far greater than I had expected. The property is beautiful, the staff so friendly and hospitable, the animals so curious and cute, the wine so crisp and delicious. This is the kind of place that you visit to relax and enjoy your time at the property. When we arrived at the room, there were welcome cookies waiting for us. We booked the Ranger tour to see the animals with our two-year-old and she is still talking about it a month later. The property leaves out carrots for you to feed the donkeys and horses. We bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed it around the property. We visited the park in the town of Sonoma, which is a short drive away and ate dinner at a restaurant within five minutes from the property. The breakfast was so delicious and the chef so thoughtfully prepared our two-year-old meal. She made Elmo out of the eggs, oranges, kiwi, strawberries, etc. When our two-year-old left her hat at the property, the staff went out of their way to mail it back to our home. This place is a dream and my only complaint is that I should have booked a longer stay. We will 100% be back!

Breathtaking and perfect!! Everything was so perfect! The grounds are gorgeous with horses, chickens, steer, oak trees, olive trees etc. Sitting on the patio with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a cheese plate was heaven!! My room number 3 was charming in every way! Claw foot tub, comfortable bed, sitting area with daybed and chair. Really lovely and I would highly recommend!

We loved everything about this place. The gardens were lovely, the food and service were excellent and we cannot say enough good things about the Autumn, the Inn Keeper. We will be back.

Beltane Ranch is amazing. Our second trip and far from last. The accommodation is 5 Star. The food is Michelin worthy. The ranch and wine are sustainable and amazing. The people have huge hearts and feel like family. The three elements that transport you to a perfect place are the Ranch, the Wine, and the Food. Photos below. Go. Stay. Relax.

I was really looking forward to a relaxed stay at Beltane. The Farm environment and quiet was appealing online, and I liked the reviews. In general, it was quaint, but the farm area and lodging was reminiscent of my Grandfather’s unkept farm and house. It was relaxing, but not a Bed and Breakfast 5-star. There was constant yard work and grass cutting, with noisy workers. The rooms were comfortable, but tired…needing a refresh. From the moment we arrived, the long driveway looked to be bombed from WWII with potholes galore, we felt like family visiting an unkept farm. That was Okay, but I expected better. With advertising of farm to table, I was looking forward to a GREAT farm breakfast with fresh eggs, bacon and toast….we got a Fava Bean Soup with escarole and poached eggs…not our first choice. Fortunately, there was a cute French Cafe nearby in Glen Ellen that had awesome quiche and coffee! I must say that the inn hostess and the people at Beltane were VERY friendly and accommodating, but we won’t be returning. Thank you for trying.

Google
Attended the ranch for a business function and it was amazing. |Entertainment was great. Food was great and venue was noteworthy. |The smoked brisket was over the top. The baked goods, oils and dips were amazing.|Unfortunately we didn’t stay at the ranch so we are unable to speak to the accommodation offerings but the grounds were amazing.

Yelp
Beltane Ranch is quietly magical. Membership events are catered by their resident Michelin star chef. The food is thoughtful, organic, and delicious. They keep their own bees and their honeycomb is decadent. The attendees are interesting and fun. The ranch itself is gorgeous. It's so much fun to visit the horses, donkeys and sheep. The carefully curated garden out front makes you feel like a fairy tale. If you choose to stay at the inn- when you wake up, the misty sunrise acts as a backdrop against a tasty breakfast. A very special place and so happy to be a member.

Yelp
Congratulations -- Joel and Kelsey What a beautiful chic outdoor wedding weekend. As soon as we drove onto this beautiful property we were overwhelmed with the amount of greenery, flowers, sweeping magical vines, and mountain views. Walking up to the entrance we were greeted with a lovely refreshment station that was beautifully set on the back of a vintage truck. The ceremony was set against a country atmosphere with spaced seating and natural shade under trees. Afterwords - we were guided into a lovely seating area. Umbrellas were set around the cocktail hour area to create a relaxed, lived-in summer atmosphere and, more practically, shield guests from the sun. The entire night was perfectly set against the beautiful views surrounded by a welcoming ranch vibe. This location is certainly a perfect wedding location and history of this ranch makes for a beautiful story. The charming home at the heart of Beltane Ranch dates back to 1892 that has been owned and operated by the same family for six generations is absolutely breathtaking. You are surrounded with vineyard views, and vibrant gardens. The landmark victorian home is this stunning and provides a still historic feel to the Sonoma historical ranch. Note: I think this location has everything a Bride and Groom would want in a venue.

Yelp
We stayed onsite at Beltane Ranch for our wedding & hosted events there during the weekend. It was such a surreal & beautiful setting and, even more touching, the level of attention & care that the Beltane Team gave us & our guests was downright familial. The wine, the views, breakfasts under the oak tree, fresh raspberries in the garden, and those ambling longhorns in the field out front. We just adore this space & all of our guests & loved ones adore it too. A year later, we're still talking about it & planning to visit well into the future.

Yelp
I hate to do this review for such a beloved place, but our one night stay there last was April was difficult at best. It looked like there were only 2 parties spending the night. We were put in a room where the toilet did not flush. My husband had to stick his hand in the tank every time...icky to say the least. Being older, this inconvenienced us to no end. In addition, the room has a very tall bathtub that you need to climb into to take a shower. It looks very, very dangerous for older people and consequently, we skipped the shower because of this. The breakfast was below average...way underdone pancakes, a sausage patty and a couple pieces of bacon. We had stayed there maybe 40 years ago when Rosemary was the proprietor and it was magic...not so this time. We won't be back.

Yelp
If you're looking to stay in a beautiful quiet historic winery vineyard farm and resort Inn in Sonoma Valley with delicious wines, come to Beltane Ranch. Beltane Ranch is 6 generation family owned Ranch. Zinfandel, Sauvignon blanc, Carignan is grown and vinified on the property. The resort rooms are beautiful and exquisite. With out door view of the gardens and vineyards. I met the owner Laurine who gave me and a group a tour of the property while sharing family history and history of the original founder of Beltane Ranch. The Ranch was founded in 1892 by Black millionaire entrepreneur and Civil Rights advocate Mary Ellen Pleasant. This is a story of Sonoma County that very few locals know about. (Look up Drunk History Story of Mary Ellen Pleasant for a quick tutorial and a good laugh https://youtu.be/FoF3417mQtI ). I visited here with my wife and friends who are connected to rotary and the Sonoma County Library board. We all meet to celebrate black History month by recognizing Local figures of our past and people of our present. Mary Ellen Pleasant was the focus and we all wanted to figure out the best way to celebrate her memory and contributions. Our discussion was held in the Beltane Ranch banquet room Catered with a charcuterie board and estate wines. We had a great discussion but also a great experience thanks Laurine and her staff. If your in Sonoma County make an effort to visit Beltane Ranch Check it out!

Yelp
Cannot say enough positive things about this place. We stayed one night (early December), and everything about the property is just such a nice change for once. It's a small bed & breakfast (I think five rooms total). We did a farm tour on their ATV which was great- our guide was so informative and took time at each stop to a answer questions. Loved being close to the animals- especially the sheep! We also did a wine tasting that was delightful. Barbara was fantastic. If you're looking for a quiet night away to disconnect, Beltane is a must.

Yelp
We visited for the day and enjoyed a cheese board, tasting, and tour of the beautiful ranch! Lauren and Alexis were amazing hosts. We loved speaking with them and learning all about the ranch. We were able to hold the new baby chicks and they gave us carrots to fed the sheep and horses...so much fun! This visit was the highlight of our trip to Sonoma. We can't wait to come back and stay at Beltane Ranch!

Yelp
*My review is about Beltane Ranch as a wedding venue* I had the pleasure of photographing this venue during my couple's recent wedding and the photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. The venue itself is naturally beautiful, spacious, and the perfect backdrop for a dreamy wedding day. My favorite spot on the property is the ceremony oak- which gets the most perfect evening light for photos. Just breathtaking! The reception lawn is equally wonderful- a large space that's very easy to transform for your event. I also loved how there is space for the couple to get ready. I hope to photograph many more weddings at this beautiful property.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning location for a wedding. This place is a secret of Sonoma County. We spent months searching for a wine country wedding with good wine, good food, and the most spectacular backdrop. We attended a wine club dinner and stayed at the inn. Homemade tortillas were being grilled up on the fire, the chickens were out in the yard with us as the owner told us about the wine, they specialized in Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc (our too favorites), the ambiance and feeling at a table of people we had just met was incredible. We looked across the table at each other that night and knew this was our place. We didn't get to our dream wedding easily, this amazing dinner was in 2019. Beltane was the one part of our wedding we were willing to compromise on. We are so thankful to have been on this journey with Paula and the Beltane family. We understand that Beltane is a small family business and we were all scared during the pandemic. They were transparent with us and we figured out a way to make it work. Paula provided the most detailed and timely communication during our almost two year planning. I cannot say enough amazing things about Paula. She is open, honest, and empathetic; if there is anything good through the hell of pandemic planning it was Paula. Our wedding turned out perfect in every way. Let's talk about food! We wanted the in house catering because Beltane is farm to table and locally sourced ingredients. We had the best California Halibut and steak smoked with an oak tree from the property. We also has a special Chilaquiles for our brunch the next morning. We are happy to be a part of the Beltane family and look forward to enjoying time at here for years to come.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! The staff and family are incredible! My elopement turned micro wedding ceremony and dinner were amazing! Our guests were simply enchanted by the Ranch and every detail! Those oysters and crab cakes are absolutely delicious! When the weather took a cold turn everything was quickly moved to the bridal cottage for coffee and cake. I didn't have to think or worry about a thing...my champagne/wine glass was always full and everything was simply outstanding! Thank you Paula for coordinating every last detail, managing to finesse date changes because of covid and for providing exceptional service and professionalism! I couldn't have asked for anything more than this absolute dream come true! We will be back for more events at the Ranch in the future...thank you doesn't even come close.

Yelp
What drew us to Beltane Ranch was the fairytale quality of the venue. What made us fall in love with it was the staff. Everyone at the Ranch is so welcoming, professional, and hospitable. Our wedding day truly felt like a retreat--all our guests are still swooning! We couldn't be more grateful, and we'll definitely be back to stay at the BnB, eat lunch on the lawn, and relive the magic as often as we can!

Yelp
We eloped at Beltane last Sept and it was absolutely amazing. We worked with Joy and she let us be as involved or not with the details, which I loved! She made sure everything was taken care of and even arranged for me to have a gluten free wedding cake! We stayed in the corner room upstairs and having the living room for hair and makeup was great! The elopement package comes with a lot for the price. We actually hadn't seen Beltane before arriving for our wedding. I had planned on getting married at Kunde but that didn't fit in the budget. Like most things in life, it all worked out for the best! Our family did a tour and picnic at Kunde to celebrate with us but Beltane is our own special place. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Don't hesitate to consider having your wedding here. I say this as we are sitting on the balcony overlooking the garden celebrating 6 months of being married. It's a special place.

Yelp
I went to visit family in Sonoma the weekend of 4/9/21 and visiting Beltane ranch was definitely one of the main highlights of my trip. We went to Beltane on a Saturday for a 2:30 tour and tasting. Lauren was our guide and we enjoyed our conversations with her, hearing about the ranch's history and how they keep their operations both local and sustainable. We got to meet Wally and all the other animals. Afterwards we had our food and wine pairing with a personally addressed menu and enjoyed a selection of foods and excellently paired wines. I would recommend Beltane for anyone visiting or local to enjoy an afternoon on the ranch.

Yelp
First time coming to the ranch. The best way to spend the quietest time. So relax and joyful.

Yelp
We can't say enough to describe how much we loved our stay at Beltane Ranch. It is lovely in every way. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. The grounds were charming with so many special spots to explore. And the staff was so kind and welcoming. Oh, and the breakfasts were delicious! We can't wait to come back.

Yelp
My intention of writing this is to help others avoid stress and regret surrounding an event that is traditionally nerve-wracking to begin with. Just like with anything, there is some good and some bad. The property is gorgeous, the majority of the staff was fantastic, the rooms were charming, and the food was delicious. Now onto the bad... Our wedding was originally to be held at another venue but we postponed due to COVID. We decided to have an intimate ceremony at Beltane Ranch and will hold our wedding at our original venue in 2021. From day one, we experienced poor attitude and communication with the event manager, Paula. We figured we could work around this as our options were extremely limited due to COVID. It would take several days to receive returned phone calls/emails and we were on a tight timeline. I had to follow up with her on every correspondence after giving her 4-6 days to respond. When she did finally respond, she would often say she was unsure of the answers to our questions and would need to get back to us. In our next correspondence, she would often still not have answers for us making planning very difficult with an already short timeframe. She forgot about our scheduled site tour and made us wait over 30 minutes. She would say one thing via email/in person, and then contradict herself later saying she wasn't responsible for something we had already discussed. Leading up to the day, multiple fires were very close to the venue and there was zero communication or updates. One week before our wedding, with the communication and responses not improving, we decided to reach out to the manager. We described our experience and asked that our emails and calls be responded to in order to ease our concerns. We were simply asking that the event manager respond to us... that was it. The manager defended her and excused everything. There was no customer service, no reassurance, and no promise of speaking with her to improve communication. "We have done this many times before, don't worry." What really sent us over the edge was that just after our call, I received a (butt dialed) voicemail recording of the manager speaking to Paula. The manager said some uncalled for and awful things about us. Look I get it, people vent about clients to their coworkers every day. But all we were asking for was for her to just respond to us. I have worked as an event planner for 10 years and I know this is not how a couple should feel before their wedding and definitely not how any client should be treated. The day of the wedding, the manager was not around and Paula was not useful in anyway. Forgetting to set things out, not remembering items on the banquet event order, giving my maid of honor a bad attitude, etc. We planned to speak with them the day after our wedding, but exhaustion and the smoke from the fires made us ready to leave it behind us. A few days after the wedding, we received a $800 invoice. We were 100% paid off going into the wedding, and she was unable to even explain what the fee was for. It was an awful experience and definitely left a dark cloud over our wedding. I do want to highlight how wonderful the rest of the staff was. They were a huge reason why I have held off writing this review. However, after recently speaking to another bride who experienced the same poor attitude and communication issues as we did, I felt it was important to share our experience with others. I hope this is useful and prevents others from having bad memories on what should be a very happy and celebratory day.

Yelp
We had our wedding and reception at Beltane Ranch in May 2017 and could not be happier! The weather was perfect, the setting gorgeous and the food was amazing. We booked Beltane for Friday and Saturday nights and it was a great decision. Staying at Beltane with close family gave us the chance to spend quality time with them. Catching up over breakfast together and taking a walk to see the horses was the perfect opportunity for us to reconnect. Chef Lauren prepared the food for our cocktail hour and reception - she was the perfect choice. The menu she helped us to put together was excellent. Everything was local (many ingredients from fresh from Beltane) and beautifully prepared - our guests are still raving about the food! Joy was my contact at Beltane, she was a breeze to work with and did her best to answer all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. All of our guests had a wonderful time, the most common adjective we heard used to describe our wedding and the setting was "magical." A huge thank you to everyone at Beltane for making our Wedding weekend a joy for ourselves and for our guests!

Yelp
We had our wedding at Beltane Ranch in early July and we could not have been happier! The property is absolutely beautiful; with big oak trees, a variety of animals, a beautiful garden in front of the inn, vineyards, and rolling hills in the distance. Our families stayed on the property with us the night before and night of the wedding. The inn is so quaint, with newly renovated rooms, a delicious farm to table breakfast each morning, and many fun activities is you choose (wine tastings, picnic lunch, ATV tour around the property). For the wedding: Paula was so helpful from the time we booked our wedding date, through the day of the wedding. Any questions I had she was quick to respond via email, and provided specific details which made our planning process that much easier. The entire staff at Beltane made our wedding day perfect. Everyone is so friendly, the dinner was delicious, ambiance is amazing, and our guests could not stop talking about how perfect the day was. We are so grateful to Paula and everyone at Beltane for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!

Yelp
Vineyards, flower gardens, wine country bed & breakfast, weeping oak trees, grassy oasis, old country charm, 3 generation family owned, romatic getaway, lovely wedding, movie backdrop, winery, homemade breakfast, fig trees, vegetable gardens, friendly cows and horses, chickens clucking, time-warp. Smack dab in the middle of wine country. Beltane Ranch and Bed & breakfast has been a place my family has visited since the 80's when I was little, now I bring my little one. It has over the years remained the same. A beautiful ranch house surrounded by beautiful gardens stuck in time as if escaping the fast paced world we all live in everyday. Many times I have watched weddings set up here as well as 2 movies and even a couple of magazines who used the owners house as the staging ground for their products.

Yelp
Beltane Ranch is an absolute gem. My husband and I got married here on June 4, 2021. As someone who grew up just down the street, I had always seen the sign but I had never actually been up to the ranch. When it came time to look at venues, we immediately fell in love with the gorgeous views, casual and homey atmosphere, kind staff, endless acres, and incredible animals. Our original wedding date was May of 2020, but because of Covid, that had to be changed. Paula, the wedding coordinator, assisted us through this process not only for one new date, but for TWO new dates when our original rescheduled date did not work out. She went above and beyond to make our big day/weekend special. Beltane was flexible and accommodating, and the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. They were also so helpful when it came to coordinating our vendors. It was also wonderful having our families stay at the inn for the weekend, where Beltane provided breakfast. I also got a wonderful breakfast on the wedding day. My bridesmaids and I got ready onsite by doing makeup on the gorgeous bridal suite porch and hair in the front dining room with expansive views of the valley. It made for such a relaxing and peaceful start to a big day, and I am so grateful for that! We also opted for a day-after brunch, provided by Beltane. The food was out of this world fresh and delicious. We will be returning here for years to come and could not be more grateful for the professionalism, communication, kindness, and overall fun attitude of the entire staff and ranch.

Yelp
I am not a "hotel" person. Booking a place to stay is lower on my list of vacation priorites. And, if it were entirely up to me, I would rather spend all my money on food/shopping and stay in a yurt. I got shut down on the yurt idea. I still wanted a place that is rustic and different but was given guidelines that it had to be nice and not a yurt. So glad I found this Beltane Ranch! The property has animals, history, hiking, wine, great people, and farm to table food! The property: this property has a 5 room ranch house and a private cottage, all with separate entrances and bathrooms. There are walking trails that take you through their orchard, olive grove, and vineyards. Animals: there are two Clydesdale horses that you can feed with apples! There are also heritage hens that provide the eggs for the morning breakfast. History: I was watching Drunk History and there was a skit on Mary Ellen Pleasant. She was called "The Mother of Civil Rights in California" who was an active abolishisionist in the 1800's. She once owned this property! Farm to Table food: They have a garden and grow a variety of vegetables. Our breakfast included kale and Brussels Sprouts straight from their garden! They also had fresh sugar cookies made with Meyer Lemons from their orchards. We stayed in the Cottage which was an exercise in Tiny Home living. Totally doable! It had a private patio, small living area, bedroom with a sitting area, and bathroom with a shower. It was perfect! A little tip: no need to increase the heat from the levels they set in the winter. It will warm up to a perfect temp if left alone. This is a truly great Bed & Breakfast that was a lucky find. As much as I would love to keep it a secret...this is a place to be shared.

Yelp
It's been a week since I left Beltane and I'm ready to go back! I decided to take my week vacation to drive up the coast from LA to wine country for the first time and Beltane caught my eye immediately on Instagram (let's be honest, thanks to Wally). I booked my stay almost 8 months in advance since the particular room I wanted (the cottage) was already booked for the fall of 2021, but happened to be open for the weekdays leading up to my birthday, so I booked right away. I stayed from Mon-Fri leading up to Memorial Day weekend, when the tourist season begins to start, and it was the perfect time to see the ranch and the surrounding areas gear up. Everyone I interacted with on the team was so welcoming, but I'd like to give a special shoutout to Autumn and Barbara who really made me feel at home on my solo trip. There's so much to explore at the ranch and the surrounding towns, so make sure to book plenty of time especially if it's your first time visiting the area! The perfect escape from the city, can't wait to go back

Yelp
Our favorite spot in Sonoma! We loved our experience at Beltane Ranch! Lauren was our host and provided an lovely and intimate tour including an amazing picnic in the vineyard and delicious tastings and pairings. We loved our experience so much that we moved our next appointment to stay on property and enjoy longer. If you're looking to fully immerse yourself in the wine country & soak up the history and culture, book a tour with Beltane- worth every penny!

Yelp
Beautiful and clean place but there was NO AC! It was 100 degrees at 7 PM! After paying over $400 per night for lodging, it was the most miserable and uncomfortable stay. Will never go back here.

Yelp
We enjoyed a wonderful stay here. The staff was courteous and accommodating. Grounds are beautiful and we even got to meet the baby donkey Lila. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Wow! Thanks to the yelpers who let this secret out because otherwise I would have never known about this magical ranch in Sonoma County. I've never done the B&B thing and have always wanted to and if every place is this amazing I'm going to forget traditional hotels all together! This warm and inviting ranch is absolutely gorgeous- I'm a huge fan of shabby chic decor and was delighted to see that the entire ranch was decorated this way. We were greeted by Autumn, who could not have been a more helpful and friendlier hostess. She made sure we had everything we needed in our cozy room, recommended a delicious spot for dinner, and made us feel like we were at home. There are 5 rooms to rent at the ranch and I've been told they fill up quickly so make your reservations way in advance. The rates vary by room, but the $170 we spent for the night was well worth it. We slept comfortably until around 7 am when we were awoken by the voices and noises of people in the rooms next door (definitely noisier than a hotel, but it's all part of the homey feeling). We joined our "housemates" for a delightful breakfast of homemade biscuits, fresh fruit, quiche, and apple sausage...it was fun to sit around the table and get to know the other visitors, but there is also the option of being served breakfast on a private table on the porch outside. I would go back to this ranch in a heartbeat. I also flipped through a photo book of weddings that have taken place at the ranch and it really looked like the ideal place for a special event. For those of you planning a trip to Sonoma you need to book a night (or 2) at this ranch right now...what are you waiting for????

Yelp
Rarely do I ever not want to review a place because I do not want folks to find it. This place came close to making me silent. We spent a glorious two nights. We did not really leave the property other than for dinner in Glen Ellen. From fresh baked cookies in the afternoon to a glorious fresh breakfast every morning. The staff made me feel I was at home and welcome more than any other BnB I have ever been. The property and sunsets were enough to make you want to empty out the bank account and stay for weeks. The estate made wine and olive oil made our picnics smooth and tangy. The room was well appointed with solid linens and towels. The building and grounds are phenomenal in their beauty and upkeep. It is fun to see this family enterprise succeed. Cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
First of all, Beltane is gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful and the inn is charming. I had my wedding during an insane heatwave a few weeks ago. There are a few things I wish Beltane handled differently. The week leading up to the wedding, with the heat projected, Beltane did not do much to prepare for the heat. The inn is old and does not have A/C. With 113 degree heat, this became a big problem. All that was provided was a small fan blowing over a bowl of ice water. Needless to say, the rooms were quite unbearable. My poor family (many in their late 80s) barely slept all weekend. I wish they would have done more. Either provide multiple large fans, portable A/C units, or even book rooms in a neighboring inn/hotel. The did not offer any refunds or discounts. On the day of my wedding, the owner gave us permission to move the wedding back an hour to a 5pm start time. My coordinator and I were only in contact with the venue coordinators leading up the wedding. When we asked if we could do our tea ceremony at the end of the night (10:30pm) due to the insane heat they were adamant that this would not possible. Everyone had to be off the property by 11pm. Thus, we figured there was no way we would push the wedding back an hour. It wasn't until the owner got involved the day of our wedding where we were able to push the wedding back an hour. I wish we got permission a day or two before. This resulted in a lot of scrambling to notify all the guests hours before the wedding the start time had been moved.

Yelp
Magical, serene, lush flower gardens, vineyards...need I go on?! I recently got married here and Beltane exceeded every high expectation I already had. I stumbled upon Beltane while researching venues for our intimate (42 people) wine country destination wedding. Having never visited the ranch until 2 days before our wedding, I relied solely on reviews and pictures therefore it is my duty to leave this review! Joy Wesley, from Beltane, was an absolute dream to work with. We booked about a year out from our May 14, 2016 wedding date and Joy was amazing at responding emails, building our trust, and so friendly. Since we rented out the property for two nights, I stayed in the cottage with my sister the night before our wedding. Cottage is a great space with quaint sitting room filled with great books on the history of the ranch, private porch access overlooking beautiful grounds, and ample closet room :) . Since you obviously have to rent the entire property for the day of your wedding, our guests had entire access to the ranch and it's surrounding property- which is just gorgeous with its wrap around deck, garden, oak trees, clydesdales, a cow, and a steer who greet you upon your drive up. The grounds around the ranch are perfectly manicured which made the perfect back drop for our wedding. We had the most delicious breakfast made by the chef the morning after our wedding day. Since we were the only ones who stayed on the property for the night, we had the place to ourselves and soaked it all in. The housekeeper was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed at all times although I only saw her once in the morning! I can't say enough great things about this gem located in Sonoma except that we can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Stayed at Beltane Ranch in Sonoma Valley for our 40th Anniversary......HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! They have 4 units in the main ranch house and we stayed in the detached cottage. Everything was lovely. There was so much room to spread out on their grounds that socially distancing was not a problem at all and their employees wore required face coverings. The chef prepared us delicious breakfasts each morning and also a wonderful dinner one night. I don't hesitate to recommend this spot to anyone. Even those who are uneasy to travel during this period would feel very comfortable staying at Beltane Ranch. AND the owners and every single employee was extremely kind and helpful.

Yelp
Super cute place! We had a picnic lunch there with a wine tasting of Sauv Blanc and a Rose. Everything was outstanding. The food was incredible for it being a simple picnic lunch. Also, the wines were really refreshing for a warm summer day. Their acreage is beautiful and the old house is charming. Their gardens are also gorgeous. I would highly recommend this place for a visit if you are ever in the Sonoma Area. If you want a unique winery experience, this is it!

Yelp
Beautiful. Met our expectations in every way. Amazing breakfast, great service. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. FWIW we were there in winter. There was ice on the car in the morning, but the room was lively and toasty.

Yelp
Brides beware. After nearly a year of planning, we were so excited to have Beltane as our wedding location. As we were finalizing our location, the property manager put the pressure on for us to make a decision-telling us that another couple had put an offer on the last available date of the wedding season. We pulled the trigger and put a $5000 deposit down on the site. The contract stated that if we had to cancel the deposit would be refunded if the site could be resold. Shortly after, the economy crashed and my fiancée and I were both laid off from our jobs. Although it broke our hearts, we decided to put the wedding on hold. We gave Beltane 11 months notice, with the expectation that such an in demand location would not have a problem reselling the last available spot of their wedding season. We never received a refund, and in fact, the manger and owner wouldn't take my calls after we canceled to discuss alternative options. I continue to be disappointed with Beltane's unresponsiveness.

Yelp
We really loved it here. My wife and I spent two nights of our honeymoon at Beltane. While a little rough around the edges it's a warm and hospitable place with beautiful grounds even in winter. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The staff were all locals that work there part-time. They were all very helpful. The first morning the breakfast was unbelievable, the second morning the breakfast was only great. At one time in the 19th century it was a whore house. _____

Yelp
Heaven! One of the most beautiful places you'll ever spend time. The wine is absolutely great. One of the better Sauv. Blanc and Zin productions in all of Sonoma. Family owned and run which is rare these days. What a great place

Yelp
My Fiance and I went to Beltane to look at the location as a possible wedding venue. It's absolutely gorgeous and would be our dream location for a wedding - however the sticker tag for the place is outrageous! $14 k for the site fee. They don't include anything with it but the buy out of the bed and breakfast which consists of 6 rooms. Granted it's for a full weekend but that only amounts to ~$2300. So what's the other $12k for? I'm not sure. They mentioned they'd carry the chairs to the field with a truck. Catering is not included, tables, linens are not included and the parking isn't all that great - doesn't even include parking attendants. My 3 stars are solely for this place as a wedding venue - because to me there's just no reason to charge an extra $12k for their backyard. It makes me question the location. HOWEVER, the place is just amazing and I would recommend staying there for the weekend. The woman we spoke to was friendly enough and even gave us cookies. The grounds are quaint and just lovely. The Bed and breakfast is really well maintained and perfect for a getaway. We will definitely come and stay at the location one day.

Yelp
!!! I am speechless. I am shocked that this place doesn't have more reviews, but so thankful that it doesn't at the same time. I want this to be my little secret. It's as beautiful as the pictures show, and I stayed here on a gloomy winters day. Their first impression of me was anything but glorious I'm sure, as I called multiple times, first to let them know we'd be running late (wretched SF traffic/accidents) and if it would be a problem. (Not at all they said. If they weren't there my little package would be on the kitchen table). Then, I don't know how but the wrong address was entered in my phone, and I got lost. 3 times! After they patiently and thoroughly, explained to me twice how to get there. Darn the insanity of tired eyes and worst traffic of my life. I forgot her name, but the evening keeper said to call her once we were confident we were on the right path. Oh the sweetness! Arrived and was kindly attended to. Fresh baked cookies were in the cookie jar, along with her welcoming and brief overview. Stayed in room #1. Corner upstairs room with a wrap around porch. Quaint, with a fireplace and softest comfy bed. Bliss. I slept sound, long, and hard. It is rare for me. In the morning made my way down to the kitchen, and was greeted by the beautiful Laura who was making breakfast. I had the most interaction with her (although I'm sure all of them are just lovely). She is warm, and I felt like it was home! I was instantly attached to the place and the happy flowing vibes. She was happy to be up and happy to chat with us! Helped us in every which way from questions about wine tasting, to places to see, walk to, etc. I immediately regretted not booking an extra night, and was informed they were full. This was all before breakfast mind you, and it gets even better! Breakfast was a fluffy waffle and crisp bacon. A cup of fruit which included persimmons from their tree, sweetest pears I've ever had (and I'm not a pear person per say), grapes, and grapefruit. Juice was an orange, cranberry, grapefruit mix. Yum! And prior to that I had 2 delicious mugs of coffee. 3 kinds of syrup, fresh raspberry (my favorite), brandy maple, and regular maple. Some chunky fig jam too. Wow how fantastic. I was looking forward to the fresh raspberries alot of others talked about, but I acknowledge it my have not been the season. Luckily for me, I plan on coming back. The camaraderie at the table was something I cherished, and my friend and I were the youngest ones, but loved listening to everyone else and felt so connected though they were all at least 40 years our senior. Following breakfast, we excused ourselves and roamed the property. Saw the horses in the back barn area, and walked the back roads. I couldn't get enough of the moss covered trees and fresh open air. After a disheartening search for another evening someplace else, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Nothing would compare to the genuine, homey family feel of staying at Beltane. So we decided to bid adieu to Sonoma and leave the best memory here to stay. Thanks Beltane for EVERYTHING!

Yelp
A small group of us had a picnic/wine get together on their property. The staff (Aliya [?] was great!), food, and wine were all excellent. We all hadn't seen each other in person since February/pre-COVID - Beltane helped to make it a very special day for us. I had also attended a wedding here several years ago and it was a lovely spot for that, too.

Yelp
The problem with writing a rave review is, there's always the risk that the place will get so popular you can never get back in. So it is with Beltane Ranch, a fantastically charming little (5 rooms + 1 cottage) B&B in the heart of Sonoma wine country; but as much as I'd like to keep Beltane a secret all to myself, I think the world will be a better place if more people were touched by its charms. Although it's located right on the highway, Beltane (named for a Gaelic seasonal holiday) feels worlds away: cozy, quaint, and authentically rustic, just the way an 1800s farmhouse is supposed to feel. Which is appropriate, given that this has been the proprietors' home for a few generations now. The long and colorful history of the place is chronicled in a well-stocked living-room library that's a destination in itself. The breakfasts are as delicious as they are generous, from egg dishes to pancakes and waffles with raspberries picked fresh from the canes just 30 feet away. If you're feeling adventurous there are hiking trails; if not, there are porch swings and hammocks. Plenty of wineries and a great botanical garden are just a few driveways away, and the location is central enough to be a great launching point for almost any activity. Summer weekends are usually booked with weddings, and in fact Beltane Ranch is where my wife and I were married. Serene, verdant, and relaxing, it's one of the most special places I've ever visited, and there's no place in wine country I would rather return to. If you're considering going, make your reservation now... before everyone else discovers 'our' little secret.

Yelp
Beltane Ranch is a rustic and stunning Sonoma Valley bed and Breakfast located in the town of Kenwood. It backs the Mayacamas Mountain range with views of Sonoma Mountain. The main house has rooms for rent and several common areas. There are other structures on the site -- I believe 12 bedrooms total. The property is especially fantastic for blocking off completely. Was last quoted $12,000 for a complete weekend block. It includes use of the entire common areas for a special event. Tents with or without dining areas can be sent up on the grounds. Dance floors can be laid down in front of their little stage area. The property can be dressed up or down and the proprietors are sweethearts. While this is a smaller parcel of the original 200+ acres that was originally Beltane, they made sure to keep the best acreage in the parcel! I tend to forget to Yelp the the places I pass by frequently over the new places.

Yelp
A lovely place. We stayed in the separate cottage, with its own little patio and garden. It also gave us the option of having breakfast brought to us at the cabin. The breakfasts were wonderful. They have a wonderful chef who incorporated produce from their garden and ranch into her dishes. 5 stars for the hammock! Everyone who works there is really nice. Why only 3 stars? The price. Not quite sure it's worth it. I would go in the off season when the prices are more reasonable. Most weekends are booked for weddings, so call way ahead or plan to go on during the weekdays.

Yelp
My husband and I had a fantastic stay here. We booked the cottage and it was wonderfully comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They made great suggestions for dinner. The breakfast each morning was fantastic and unique. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Yelp
Most magical, amazing place I've ever been. From the garden where you can pick your own fruits and flowers to the best breakfast (all from ingredients grown on the property) I've ever had, it's a truly relaxing, enchanting place to stay. You can go feed the horses, play tennis, relax in the lawn, hammock or chairs, roam through the gardens...stay here! It's worth the price!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed in the cottage and had an amazing experience. We were welcomed by Joy, and every staff was super nice. We were offers a chord bottle of their famous SB and then went to check out the room. It was so beautiful and quiet. We had our own private patio also. In the mornings we had coffe at 7:30 and breakfast at 8:30. Breakfast was delicious. We then took a cup of coffee and sat on the porch to listen to the birds and relax. After we would then grab apples and carrots to feed the cows, Bob and Paisley, who were super friendly and loved to be pet. We had an amazing trip and it was super romantic. We also met a group of girls who have been going there for 8 years in a row. Perfect place for mom and daughter, or a romantic couple. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Though Beltane Ranch is located near some large scale wineries, the property is tucked away and has a quaint, charming vibe. The relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surroundings compelled us to stay on site and explore the grounds. We checked out a hiking trail, vineyards, pond and gardens. Since our room had a great balcony view, we got cheese and wine from the market in town and enjoyed the sunset from there. The staff members were welcoming and helpful, and they made a tasty breakfast in the morning using ingredients from the garden.

Yelp
Don and I were married at the Beltane Ranch back in November. It was the most amazing perfect place for our intimate ceremony and dinner. Autumn made it special! She was so helpful and made everything possible. Without her it would not have been what it was. This place is magical! Our family stayed on cite in the amazing rooms and the dinner catered by Girl and the Fig was some of the best food I've ever had..... And I'm a total foodie! The Ranch is so beautiful with so many photo ops. Our pictures by Megan Clouse were incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the Beltane Ranch for making our wedding PERFECT!

Yelp
We eloped here, and loved everything about Beltane. From the elopement planning process to arriving on the ranch, we felt welcomed as if we were family! Every detail of the ceremony was planned perfectly. Not to mention, the property is so stunningly gorgeous. We enjoyed taking wedding pictures, hanging out with all the cute animals, enjoying wine & cheeseboards and Al Fresco dinners. It was truly the perfect elopement experience. And staying there is an absolute delight!
