"Be prepared to wait in line for a table at Huntingdon Valley’s busy Ben & Irv’s. Back in the day, the deli operated in Mt. Airy when the neighborhood was home to a large Jewish population in the 1950s. Now in the ’burbs, it still serves a massive menu of deli favorites like blintzes, knishes, turkey clubs, corned beef specials, and smoked fish to hungry crowds." - Sarah Maiellano

Very nice deli. The menu is packed full of delicious dishes. A bit more money than we expected, but the portions were huge giving us another meal. Loved the complimentary pickles.

We just ordered from here through uber eats because it said they had chicken and rice soup and my husband is sick and wanted chicken and rice soup. 20 minutes after placing the order I had a voicemail telling me that they didn’t have the chicken and rice soup. I tried calling the number back but couldn’t because it was a grub hub number so I called the number directly and was told they had already replaced it with chicken noodle. Not what we wanted but what choice did we have? We got the order and it was supposed to be chicken and rice soup, matzah ball soup, and blintzes. It was 2 containers of chicken noodle soup, neither of which had any chicken in it, so they were just noodles and carrots in broth, a container of matzoh balls, and a container of blintzes. The blintzes were greasy and lukewarm, the crepes were very thick and had a very unpleasant texture, not at all what I’m used to for blintzes. I couldn’t eat them. My husband tried a bite and didn’t like them either. He didn’t like the soup at all. He said it was just soggy noodles in broth. The whole meal was an overpriced fail. It was incredibly disappointing. I would have ordered from pumpernicks if I had known that they didn’t have the chicken and rice soup they claimed to have.

Been awhile since we've been here. Seated promptly. Menu prices are on the higher end compared to other similar restaurants in the area. BLT had very riped tomatoes, which made the sandwich good. The Monti Christo was ok. Honestly, the pickels were the best out of the whole meal, and they were free! 👍

Table of 4, 2 ordered soup and both were good and served pretty hot, never hot enough. Sandwiches were all tasty, onion rings great as always. The price for a small container of schnecken was over $20, a bit too much.

Great Deli with so many options. We ordered take out at lunch time. The restaurant was crowded . Took 15 minutes. Got a 23c. Roast beef club with Swiss, coleslaw and Russian dressing on Rye bread. Sandwich was HUGE, served with a new pickle and small bag of chips. Roast beef was lean, cooked perfectly and sliced thinly. So many items to choose from in the deli cases with salads and Desserts. Gluten free options. Located in a shopping mall with plenty of Parking.

I just took out the mist delicious honey roasted chicken dinner... What knocked it out if the park for me were the incredible sides it came with; sweet kugel that reminded me of my mother's❤️, the freshest rye bread I've ever had, yummy savory stuffing, perfect potato salad and chicken soup so scrumptious it felt like it was medicinal. I usually don't take dinners out from here, but that's gonna change. It's gonna take me 2 days to finish all of this.

I can’t complain about the food, but I do not suggest ever getting delivery from here unless you want to wait for hours. I placed a lunch order (I usually do pickup but am sick so was being courteous to not get others sick) for delivery and wasn’t given any warning about abnormal wait times. At the hour mark I called and was told the food would be out in 15 minutes. At the two hour mark I was told it would be out in 5-10 minutes at which point I cancelled the order. There wasn’t an apology just a “ok I’ll cancel.” I guess they don’t care about customer retention.
