My visit to Ben & Jerry’s was extremely disappointing. The employees seemed clueless and unhelpful, and the customers were even worse. I went in for just one scoop of ice cream, but a family was monopolizing the place, taking their sweet time with samples and crowding the area. Some even cut in front of me, and half of them didn’t even buy anything. The staff did nothing to address the situation or expedite my simple request. Instead, they indulged the rude family, leaving me waiting far too long. When I finally got my ice cream, there was no apology for the wait. To top it off, I was charged $7 for a small scoop and $2 for water. The ice cream itself was good, but the overall experience was terrible. It’s not worth the hassle—buy a tub from Target instead. I won’t be coming back.

This place is fantastic! The wonderful woman attending us was such a super star ⭐ super informed and offered me great options for my dairy allergy. Forget gambling for a "decent" supermarket Non-dairy ice cream pint - I am gonna keep coming back for my ice *cream fix 🍨🍦

Google
Come here while they're still open. I can't imagine the shop staying open for much longer at the prices they charge for as little ice cream as you get. Tiny cups with even tinier scoops of ice cream! It is a mere shadow of the story used to be. It's better just to go to the grocery store and pick up your Ben & Jerry's there. Much better.

I ordered a birthday ice cream cake for daughter here this week. Entire experience is so bad i dont believe Ben&Jerry’s will/ should stay in business much longer. Ordered 72hours before the birthday online, and received an order with details. What bothers me is there’s no followup email or notification for pickup. I called 20hours after placing the order to see if cake is ready and i happened to be in the area. Answer was “our manager said cake needs to wait 24 hours for pickup thats the policy”, even if the cake has been ready. On the day of birthday, i called three times to confirm if cake was ready but the phone line was down and went to voicemail. Very rundown business.

Several of us ordered Small Cups (2 scoops) of ice cream and Prepacked Pints. You can mix flavors of ice cream into 1 container. The pint sized cups are a better deal overall. They also have cakes you can order or buy from the store. The employee was very kind. Several in our party wanted to try different flavors before ordering. She was extremely patient with us.

I would strongly advise thinking twice before choosing Plano Ben & Jerry's Catering for your event. My experience was extremely disappointing, to say the least. From the get-go, they showed an utter lack of professionalism. They have a strict, no-exceptions policy on the amount of ice cream served, and they nickel-and-dime you for every little thing, which felt incredibly frustrating. The worst part, though, was dealing with their manager. I received a text after hours, day of the event at 10pm. The following morning an invoice came for overage served. Which I didn't agree with the numbers, they seemed to have changed overnight. Then, received a second emailed invoice on a Sunday evening—barely 24 business hours after the invoice was originally sent. A little respect for the weekend and time off would go a long way. To add insult to injury, the representative who showed up to our event was dressed unprofessionally—sweatpants and a dirty sweatshirt, resembling something more suited for a lazy day at home than a professional event. It was borderline disrespectful. Additionally, their trash was scattered across the parking lot which our staff had to chase and collect and it was clear they had little regard for tidying up after themselves. The lackadaisical attitude and overall unprofessionalism left a sour taste, and I would not recommend this catering service to anyone planning an important event. Save yourself the hassle and look for a more reliable, professional option.

Google
stick to bruams.. got two medium cups and was charged $5 per scoop, they gave me a total of 6 scoops, had I known I would be charged per scoop and not for the size of the cup I would’ve gotten one scoop. Definitely never coming back, especially because not only was the pricing ridiculous so was the poor customer service.

Google
Lots of great flavors especially if you like peanut butter or chocolate peanut butter. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable in all the flavors. They have a lot of vegan or non dairy flavors as well which is great. They sample flavors as well and offer hand packed pints if there isn't any of that flavor in their fridge.

Yelp
I came here for free ice cream day and the staff were excellent and efficient! They got the crowd moving quickly and smoothly. The staff were very patient and were hard at work getting people in and out of there, while still being friendly and offering samples to people. It goes without saying, the ice cream was excellent! I got mint chocolate chip and cookie dough. A winning combo! Ben and Jerry's never disappoints!

Yelp
Came for free cone day and was surprised how efficient service was. This ice cream shop has been around for a while and it's a solid choice for ice cream with its variety of flavors. Though the line went out the door, they had someone distributing a newsletter outside which had the spring menu and there were several employees all ready to scoop out the ice cream in cups. I enjoyed the marshmallow sky. The shop is tiny so if you have a larger group and you want to enjoy your ice cream, you'll have to enjoy it outside or on the gol.

Yelp
Stopped by today for the very first time ever. I was on my way to visit my aunt in the nearby hospital. Just wanted a large chocolate shake for my aunt. They did not have any large cups. They only had small cups. Only a one dollar price difference for a small versus a large. I asked them to give me the amount of a large shake in two small cups. They refused. This was my last visit ever. Update. I went down the street to Braum's. I got the same 20 oz chocolate shake for $3.89. Ben & Jerry's is charging $7.99 for the same size shake (even though they don't have the cups for them). I guess they did me a favor. I'm still not ever going back. Just read the response from the owner. I asked for a "Large Shake". She looked in a few cabinets behind her and said "we don't have any large cups". I then asked her big a small cup was. She showed me the display on the counter that has a small and a large cup for shakes. At that point I asked her to give me the amount of a large shake in two small cups. She said she couldn't do that. I clearly did not ask for a two for one.

Yelp
I came here just looking for a nice cup of ice cream after eating a very delicious dinner and I walk in and there's two employees working and nobody says a word. I continued standing there and still neither employee said anything and one just went on his phone. I ended up just leaving. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

Yelp
They don't give samples?! That's wrong. We walked in a large group and they denied us samples. Wow. But then they gave samples out to other customers during the same time!!! Maybe it's because we had many kids? Not sure the reason.... But I'm not eating at this location or any Ben and Jerry's. Hire better people manager. Exact words were "we don't give out samples for a group your size. ". We are paying customers, you guys don't like money?!

Yelp
I've never seen a Ben and Jerry's brick and mortar location so I was stoked to see one so near me! The flavors are super yummy and the employee let us try a few different ones before deciding which ones we wanted. They had all kinds of special cones, flavors, and toppings. The pricing is a bit up there but I kind of expected that since they are already an expensive brand. The employee was super friendly, the inside was very clean, and the parking lot had plenty of parking so all of these were pluses. There was a little bit of seating on the inside but not much. We grabbed cones and left. It was a nice and quick experience. We haven't gone back since the pandemic but have seen them available for delivery on GrubHub so we will probably give that a try soon. Can't wait to go back once we are all in the clear. Loved this place and our experience.

Yelp
We just like Braum's so much more - better prices and better product. A single scoop in a container at BnJ was like almost $6.00 and it wasn't even good. The coffee flavored ice cream I selected included quite a lot of chocolate pieces (that tasted like wax) and had only a hint of coffee flavor. Next time we are thinking "ice cream" we are going to just keep on driving south on Preston until we get to Braum's where a single scoop is only $1.79 or maybe head north a block and get a whole pint of Trader Joe's gourmet flavored ice creams for only $3.99. Plus, having a flavor named after a disrespectful trouble maker is just so woke it's wrong. Bless your heart. Kindly take your liberal crusade back to Vermont, this is Texas!

Yelp
Zero stars if I could I ordered a cake for girlfriend's birthday and it looks horrible wrote email and the store manager called my girlfriend's phone and belittled her about the complaints so I sent high quality iPhone video to him so he could see how horrible it was and he never replied So I called him and he told me the video is horrible quality and cake looks great and told me he didn't want to deal with me. Can't post videos here but I've got some pics.

Yelp
If an ice cream parlor got mixed in with the front offices of a nuclear waste disposal facility and a vocational school for mentally disabled learning portion size this would be the result. Strip mall, aged, cluttered, indifferent help. Overpriced pints, thin shakes and stupidly wrapped bakery items. I mean I love Ben and Jerry but not this place.

Yelp
Pretty decent service. The lady there was just leaning back on the counter behind her looking very tired and irritated, like she didn't want to be there. But I guess that's not my business. She could've had a bad day or something. The interior is pretty small, but clean for the most part. There was little room for indoor seating so I recommend eating it to go or outside if you have a big party. We didn't have anyone in front of us, so the people behind the counter were just waiting for our entire party to take turns to order. (We had a big party of 13 people) So we didn't have to wait long since we were the only company there. The ice cream was pretty good, very fresh and cold. The Tonight Dough with Jimmy Fallon was kinda strong in chocolate flavor, so I liked the Churray For Churro flavor better. Overall pretty tasty though. I liked how the setup was pretty bright and colorful, with nice displays and lighting.

Yelp
Affordable, friendly service, and a great selection of ice cream! This shop was very clean and was awesome with getting us in and out!

Meagan R.

Yelp
I'd give them zero stars if I could! I ordered an ice cream cake for my birthday and this is what I got. I don't even want to take a picture with if and post it it looks so bad. It looks like a child wrote on it. Anyone could do better. So I called corporate and they said it looks fine to them and there is nothing they can do he was very rude to. Will never buy from them again.
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
The ice Cream was delicious but the customer Service is awful. The sound lady behind the counters full of sarcastic and rude comments. When your spending $20 for 2 ice cream cones, you would think you would get good Service. We were the only ones in the shop. Not planning to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
I still prefer my Ben & Jerry's in pint form. Compliments: I can choose from all their flavors and they have seasonal and limited edition flavors that aren't always sold in pints at the store. Fresh cones! Nothing too out of the ordinary, but the cones are delicious. Complaints: Scoops make me so sad. I can eat my cone in like 5 bites. Workers try to get you out of their sight pretty fast. Bottom line: You're paying a bit more than the price of a pint for a sad single scoop. Unless you're grabbing a shake or anything else besides a single flavor, save your money and grab the pint.
google avatar

Barbara A.

Yelp
This shoppe is filthy. The windows are so dirty you cannot see through them. The counters, refrigerator doors look like they have never been wiped off and the floors need to be swept! To add insult to my visit it cost $10.00 for a small cup of vanilla ice cream with some hot fudge and a dusting of walnuts on top. Won't be coming back here. Need to call the Board of Health!
google avatar

Chrystarie H.

Yelp
Yes, it's delicious ice cream, but not worth the inflated pricing. Customers should just buy the ice cream at their local grocery store.

Erika F.

Yelp
Came here to get an ice cream and the girl was with AirPods, didn't even acknowledge that I was there. Waiting a few minutes and nothing, decided to not buy anything, worst place ever.
google avatar

Sunny C.

Yelp
Stopped by to get icecream but unfortunately found a piece of hair in my strawberry icecream. We went back with it and he gave me a new icecream cone. I can't help but to avoid this place.

Yelp
Ben and jerry's is always so good. I also love how they are super nice and do free cone days. I came across one after hearing in Facebook of the event and made my way out to my nearest location. Arriving, there was a huge line and many people outside. The weather was perfect for some ice cream so many people where there. The line moved quick and upon arrival a nice lady handed me a menu to look at. Not even 3 minutes later, I was at the front and ordering my flavor. I got the coffee ice cream. It had chocolate chunks in it which was a sweeter surprise. Everything was so good I am definitely coming back again. They handed me coupons as I left which is very encouraging to come back. Thank you Ben and Jerry's!

Yelp
I moved to North Dallas a few months back and have been wanting to try this place. We finally went on Tuesday night just before 9:00 pm. There were no cars in sight and no one in the store. Red flag #1. We pulled up to the front of the store and noticed a child - maybe 8 or 9 years old running around behind the counter BAREFOOT. There was a female standing behind the counter with him and another female in the back room. Needless to say, we left. I'm sure there are a lot of places that I'd never go to again if I saw what really goes on there; but after seeing it for myself, I definitely won't be back.
google avatar

Maram M.

Yelp
I've never seen a dirty ice cream place like this one!!! Add to that the customer service is so bad and rude!!! After all that it's expensive!!
google avatar

bart b.

Yelp
Pretentious and expensive. Ice cream is a 2 star but attitude was a zero, so I gave them 1 star. Way better options, they just don't have the names that seem to amuse the B&J employees.

Samantha M.

Yelp
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The service here was the worst I ever had. I had ordered and paid for an online order. When I came to pick it up, they claimed they never received it, despite me showing them the email confirmation and explaining that purchase had already been charged to my credit card. Avoid this place at all costs. The owner and cashier were both very rude. Place seems like they want to rip people off. Update: the owner tried to say she fulfilled the other immediately. It took 20 minutes after much hassle and phone calls. The owner is so dishonest and seems incapable of running a simple ice cream business. I explained my situation to Ben and Jerry's corporate and they said they will talk to the owner. Hope she gets a course in management - she needs it.

Brooke H.

Yelp
Love the packing your own pint of ice cream! Marshmallow sky and s'mores are my favorite flavors. Staff was kind while serving me and were quick in packaging my ice cream. Nowhere to sit inside but good place to get to go food at!

Yelp
Great reminder of the hippy dippy state of VT. It's a culture that pervades the spirit. A taste of nostalgia
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
When you first walk in the floors are really really sticky! Borderline gross. Way too pricy for ice cream. I think it's way over priced because your paying for the names they place on each of the ice cream flavors. Why not just call it coffee ice cream with chocolate chunks. Nothing special about the flavors except they are expensive!
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
The best ice cream hands down, we love driving here from 10 miles away.
google avatar

Jeffrey N.

Yelp
Ice cream was not bad, but the waffle cone was stale and soft. The store was disgusting. Every table dirty, smeared ice cream everywhere, flies buzzing around. A generous 3 out of 5. #31IceCreamShopsIn31Days #NationalIceCreamMonth
google avatar

Deanna K.

Yelp
On top of delicious ice cream - impressed at how well employees were wiping down surfaces like door handles and counters after we left the store! Will be back - or will be ordering online! I just found out you can get Ben and Jerry's delivered from the store! Love the Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
Ice cream cakes look nothing like the picture. The cakes I got were smudgy hand printed lettering, upper and lower case irregularly used, and blotchy décor. They misspelled my daughters name. At the time of pick up we were told they couldn't do anything about it because the writing was in black. Store manager wouldn't do anything after the fact either and gave me a "lesson" in cake decorating. Think I'll do it myself next time. Ugh.

Yelp
Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream is an ice cream shop in Plano that serves up Ben & Jerry's flavors. It's a fantastic stop for the Ben & Jerry's fan who likes like unique flavors. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in a shopping strip, Ben & Jerry's is actually pretty small. You'll find a narrow row of tables (only two people can sit without being crowded) and then the left side houses the many flavors. It's brightly lit but too packed in for my tastes. 1/2 Star. Service - It was cash only at the time we went. Not a big deal, but cashless patrons should take heed. They only had one worker for a Friday night. Luckily it wasn't too busy, and he was fast and friendly. Now, one thing that was a bonus was that he gave out huge scoops. We ordered kids scoops but they easily could have been regular size. So big we ended up sharing, so thanks Mr. Scoop guy! 1 Star. Food - So if you love Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, you'll love their flavors as they ONLY carry those flavors. Now they are pretty unique, and they carry more flavors than what you'll find in stores. However, I found that I ended up ordering what I usually get at the store. Therein lies the problem. Like I said, B&J fans will have a ball. But there's something to be said about rolling into an ice cream shop and looking for something completely unique (where you can't buy it anywhere). Plus, you do end up paying a premium vs. just buying a pint at your grocer. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Only when it's convenient. I've only been here at most twice in the last 10 years. You tend to forget about the flavors when you see it at the store so often. Personally I would rather go to Henry's Ice Cream, Braums, and Baskin Robbins. It's still a safe bet, but ice cream is meant to be enjoyed spontaneously. It's not as fun if you know what the flavors are. 1/2 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Food - I'll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the food. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Yelp score.

S T.

Yelp
We've been living in the area for years, but never tried this place until last night. We were so impressed! We placed an order online and arrived quickly. Th employee was working diligently to get our order ready. She packed everything really well. The ice cream was delicious. This is the first time, in a long time (with inflation these days), that we got more/better quality than expected.
google avatar

Neha P.

Yelp
The waffle cones are stale. I've had them before so I think I was given older ones. The Ben and Jerry's in ATL makes you fresh waffle cones and they're so delish! The slightly warm cone with ice cream is heaven. I think you guys should do that same! More people would definitely come! Also could you guys please add non pareil sprinkles to your topping list? The normal sprinkles are boring but the non pareil add spunk I think some cleaning, adding more flavors, fresh cones, and non pareil sprinkle toppings can elevate your restaurant to 5 star status!!!
google avatar

Jessi N.

Yelp
Lovely experience here! The gentleman that served us was really friendly and quick to offer us samples of anything that caught our eye. I ended up choosing the Sweet Like Sugar ice cream and had it hand packed into a pint. It was DELICIOUS! My new favorite flavor by far. I will be back soon I'm certain.
google avatar

Brooke P.

Yelp
Sunday night ice cream tradition, holla! Once in awhile I'll stray from Ben & Jerry's, but I always come back. It's not THE best ice cream in the world, but it is substantially better than the competitors in the same price range. I love the Chocolate Fudge Brownie. LOVE. IT This location is small, and you would do well to time your arrival during non peak times. Staff is always friendly and willing to give my child the 43843890349803438934289 samples he asks for.
google avatar

Morgan G.

Yelp
Small ice cream shop with the infamous Ben & Jerry's treat! Small shop, good ice cream and selection. The cones and cone bowls are made fresh and to order. Qualms: VERY small. Then again, you usually get ice cream and leave. Staff was apathetic. They didn't have my fav flavor.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
A very small ben and jerry's ice cream shop. The selection is pretty good! And i like the location. It's right next to a tex mex restaurant that we like so it makes out for a good date night treat. Only been there once so far and the staff is pretty interesting. The rastafarian guy needs to get a belt! He seems very sluggish. There isn't any seating inside theres 2 umbrella tables outside. That's about it. Might be better eating in the car; but i'd like to avoid that.

Kathy P.

Yelp
Ice cream cake I ordered was WONDERFUL!!! You can tell management is top-notch, because not only did they personally call me once my initial order was placed (asking if I had any questions, special requests, etc.), but when I had a minor hiccup when picking the cake up, they were quick to respond/offer an apology. I would HIGHLY recommend you try this place out.
google avatar

De Amber P.

Yelp
I LOVE ben and jerry's but the prices are ridiculous and the service was terrible. Both employees were both in their phones having a conversation with other people. It was my turn to order..... the phone was still to her ear talking. Ridiculous.

Kim K.

Yelp
Earlier this afternoon, we placed an online order to Ben & Jerry's in Plano and were thrilled with how simple the ordering process was. Our order was filled quickly and we received an email, text, and phone call alerting to when the order was ready for pick up. The online ordering experience was super easy - and the ice cream, as always, was super delicious! I included a photo of my daughter delivering this sweet surprise to her grandfather (staying socially distant, of course). Lots of smiles to be had! To order: http://BenJerryMenu.square.site
google avatar

Tracy V.

Yelp
Super overpriced, 2 scoops in a cup was over $5 and the hot fudge sundae (2 scoops, dry topping, Carmel or hot fudge sauce) was over $6. The service was excellent though and the flavors were tasty. However the price was just too much.
google avatar

Barbara R.

Yelp
This place did not fail on my expectations. The lady helping us tonight was amazing. She has such an amazing attitude and was very helpful when we asked questions about the flavors. The store was clean and well organized. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Joey T.

Yelp
Love love love Ben and Jerry's!! Didn't know they had a shop nearby and my waist line will never be the same again! Staff was super friendly and the shop was clean.

Nicole P.

Yelp
I just want to give a shout out to Misty, the scooper at this location who was very nice and cheerful! She even asked if we needed to use the restroom before closing the door. A five star service. Negative 1 star due to the high price tag (esp. compared to pint from stores) and melted ice cream on the floor on the patio.

Dennis E.

Yelp
Best ice cream cake around. Great for birthdays. The ice cream you get other than for cakes is typically the same options you find in a grocery store; rarely anything unusual except for sometimes German Chocolate Cake ice cream.
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
I just wanted to give a shout out to one of the workers we encountered here tonight. I did not catch her name, but she has a few tattoos, short hair and had a black hat on. She was just so happy and energetic and super friendly! We sat outside chatting for a couple of hours and she was just zooming around working hard the whole time, and she always had a smile on her face. It was just really refreshing to encounter a genuinely happy person who seemed to enjoy taking care of her customers, and from what I could tell is a hard worker! Hopefully this review finds it's way to her boss. Thanks for making my night! :)

Yelp
Ben & Jerry's is synonymous with "tasty"! I have been a fan of their ice cream for as long as I can remember. I think I was 17 (a LOOONG time ago) when I discovered the deliciousness that is Chubby Hubby. It's seriously my favorite flavor of all time. Quite frankly, I preferred the original recipe (with the peanut butter filled chocolate covered pretzels), but I support the company moving forward with their Fairtrade efforts, so no hate coming from me. That being said, DFW is really lucky to have a scoop shop! Believe you me, I love me some Blue Bell(hopefully they get their stuff together soon), but there's room in my heart for both companies. The first B&J scoop shop I went to was on Haight Ashbury--that's freaking iconic, right? We should love, support and frequent our scoop shop here. The shop itself is pretty small, which was not a deterrent for me. They have about 30 different flavors under the glass, and they also sell their prepackaged pints (the same ones you can get at other stores). The pints are pretty pricey at $6.49 each, but they carry flavors that I haven't seen in stores and difficult flavors to find (hello Chubby Hubby). I ended up buying a pint of one of the flavors I've never tried before, and I'll certainly go back to this store to try others. The only thing I found irritating on this visit were the 3 high school boys who didn't understand that we're all dealing with a small space, and they were totally unaware that they were just 100% in the way. It's cool, though. I enjoyed my ice cream and I'll be back because I want to support the shop.
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
This joint really disappointed me. I was hoping for a Ben & Jerry's Nirvana full of every flavour they had to offer, and was awarded with a limited selection of their more normal ice creams. The waffle cones were a bit stale and overall, I wished I'd spent my money on some Paciugo. But such is the fate of those who dare to explore strip mall restaurants and stores, sometimes, you lose. I did spy that they have Ben & Jerry's ICE CREAM CAKE. I might learn to forgive one day, and return for this glorious concept.

Yelp
Four words, people: Coconut Seven Layer Bar. Yes, Ben and Jerry's is *the* place for a fresh scoop of your favorite ice cream. Mine would be that coconut dream listed above. Yum!! The ice cream is always served fresh and into a cup, waffle cone, chocolate dipped cone, etc. They even serve coffees, smoothies, low fat sorbets and frozen yogurts. There's a little something for everybody and I really enjoyed everything I have tried here. Only one warning - bring some cash. My single scoop in a small cup was $4.32. You can buy a whole pint of Ben and Jerry's at the store for that! But because you're getting it fresh and served in a cup, the price increases.
