Ben & Jerry’s

After spending a great day at the beach our family of four wanted ice cream. I have never tried Ben & Jerry's ice cream before so I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the staff was unfriendly. The ice cream was too sweet and pricey in my opinion. The waffle cones were good and my son liked his ice cream. So, one out of three liked it. The restaurant appeared to be clean.

I'm really disappointed with my recent experience at this Ben & Jerry's location. I ordered a custom cake that was made incorrectly. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is the second time that they've gotten my cake order wrong. While mistakes happen, what's really unacceptable is the complete lack of follow-up from management. I've now called three separate times trying to reach the manager to resolve this issue, and despite being told each time that she would call me back, I haven't heard anything. It's been nearly 3 weeks and radio silence. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I've resorted to disputing the charge with my bank.

My wife and I naively visited a Ben and Jerry's in Vermont, while vacationing. We just wanted ice cream, but they herded us into an into a room with a presentation, afterwhich you were expected to contribute to. No thanks and never again.

My first visit to Ben & Jerry's was a delightful experience with friendly, fast, and fantastic service.

Was craving ice cream and this hit the spot! Staff was extremely friendly and the prices are fair. We got 2 pints (freshly scooped) and a milk shake - everything was delicious. Not our first time here and definitely won’t be out last. Highly recommend!

Polite, if apathetic staff, dingy interior, surprisingly unkempt and kind of dirty all around, this B&J was rather disappointing. There wasn't even peanut butter in my chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

Excellent ice cream, plus brownies and cookies. Sorbet, ice cream, plus non dairy ice cream. Easy access, parking on street or parking lot, tables in front outside. My favorite ice cream - fudge brownie, plus unusual flavors like mango. Also has birthday cakes decorated while you wait. Very friendly.

Ben & Jerry’s is a great place to get ice cream with the family. Outside eating area is pleasant on a quiet day. (There are other stores nearby, so this area can fill up.) The staff are always friendly and the ice cream tastes delicious.

While everyone is swooning over new Ben & Jerry's new downtown location, I haven't explored the OG East Side location until very recently. I love to get Cherry Garcia from the grocery store and dig in while binge watching my favorite shows. So, I visited to taste Cherry Garcia flavor in a cone. ICE CREAM: My order included chocolate dipped cone with Marshmallow Sky scoop and Cherry Garcia scoop. As another customer in line gasped - "huge cone!" and also very sweet. Ice cream is tasty but scoops are super small. The ice cream came with a spoon which was very convenient to eat. The price was $2.29 for waffle dip cone and $6.69 for two small scoops. They didn't even fill in the top or the bottom of the cone. Worth it? Absolutely not! Too expensive! Other things you can find at this ice cream shop are sundaes, shakes, cookie dough, ice cream cakes, to go ice cream containers (including vegan flavors). There's funky merch like "I like to spoon" tees. Most customers took their orders to go or picked up on behalf of someone else. Few lingered on the patio. The patio has a lot of space and tables. SERVICE: The service is very pleasant, attentive, and quick. The girls working here go out of their way to help customers! Not crowded and no line which was a huge plus. LOCATION: In close proximity to John Carroll, this ice cream shop has a funky cow mural with CLE skyline and university. You can see the university right from the patio and walk from it to the ship. There's a large ice cream guitar (photo op). You'll find metal chairs/tables against the sky blue walls. It's a fun location to linger. Most visitors seemed to be the students and their parents. If you're looking to grab a dinner while in the area, there are a few places in the same plaza - pizza place and sandwich shop. No need to stress about the parking - the shopping plaza has plenty! This location is a bit hard to turn into due to round about, so be attentive! I'll stop at Ben & Jerry once in a while for a treat. I found it to be pricey/scoop size not comparable to other local ice cream shops. Nonetheless, it's a fun experience that I'd recommend to the local students and all!

Went for their national free cone day on 4/8/2025 - can't sample anything during that time, but you get a free cone/cup of any scoop of choice! In store flavors are obviously limited compared to online. Got salted caramel blondie and was the perfect sweet treat! Honestly, I consider their ice cream quality similar to Mitchell's but with just a more limited flavor range in-store and definitely less vegan options. No indoor seating that day due to the free cone day event, but there is also outside seating! Staff was super efficient given the long line and it moved very quick. Cute wall decor as we Side street parking available right in front of store, but limited along that strip.

The employees were nice and it was a cute location. Lots of area to sit outside. They didn't have any cones, or any flavors that aren't in pints which is really disappointing. That's why you go to the store for a new experience! I was really hoping to get something new / one of their amazing waffle cones but it wasn't available :(

I drive 40 mins to get here. Ben & Jerry's has vegan ice cream cakes. I needed one for a birthday. The cake turned out fantastic. I also ordered the Caramel Machiatto shake. Who cares that it's ten degrees outside. This shake was amazing. I can't wait to have it again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I called three times prior to ordering to ask different questions. I highly recommend this location. You will love every taste.

This place has gone ddoooowwwwnnnbb. Two one scoop cups costs $10!!!! Their flavor choices are less than half of what they were. A total rip off since the corporate takeover. I'm NEVER going back.

Lots of ice cream flavors. All fun and unique. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Plenty of parking. The only real downside is that it's a bit pricey compared to your local dairy whatever. But your getting good quality ingredients and fun flavors. Portion is pretty generous, so not skimpy. So your gonna pay a bit more. Go for it. As a treat it's good and worth it. Plenty of parking. You can eat inside or outside. Tables are available.

Delicious gourmet ice cream in myriad flavors including some dairy free and vegan options. Shakes, cups, smoothies, cones, cookies, dough pops, and more. Expensive but nice occasional treat. Only downside is horrific paper straws they give you for shakes. They're impossible to drink a shake through and disintegrate quickly!

there sign says that they allow service animals but they told me multiple times that they do not allow dogs even though i told them she was a service animal. They were extremely rude! I ended up leaving!

Great spot to meet your sweet tooth urges. Very friendly workers. Ice cream was very tasty and the cones were fresh. Very generous single scoops. Great family dessert!

Non dairy ice cream (cold brew chocolate chunk) was great. I should have thought about that flick choice beforehand bc it kept me up all night- haha. I can't do dairy so this is one of the better shops w non dairy choices. My boyfriend (who does dairy) loved the chocolate therapy ice cream. Staff was very friendly.

Will never go here again. The icecream was scooped using a reused spoon with other flavors all over it. Trash was all over the store. Would not recommend to anyone..

Just had the Chip Happens ice cream. Amazing! I didn't expect potato chips in chocolate ice cream to be so great! Another winning flavor for Ben and Jerry's.

It's Ben & Jerry's. You could buy it in almost every grocery store. Somehow, it always testes better then you get a cone at the store. Exterior/Location: In a strip plaza just outside of John Carroll University. Parking is limited and on the street. Interior: It has a fun, colorful vibe. Loaded with ice cream... so who really cares what it looks like. Delicious. Vibe/Ambiance: Friendly, fun atmosphere. Staff: Young college kids. Welcoming, but if it's been a long day they won't be too patient while you "think" about what flavor to get. Clientele: Anybody. Mostly younger college kids Price: I think pretty resonable. Ice cream at these stores is overpriced anyhow. Must get items: Chubby Hubby :) Why I love or hate it: Love it! As long as I get my ice cream, that's all that matters. Final thoughts: Try it. Very rich buttery ice cream with super creative flavors.

I had no idea we had a Ben and Jerry's! What an awesome surprise while perusing Yelp for a dessert treat for our Saturday night out! We were so excited to find it we wrapped up dinner at B Spot and headed right on over. I mean what better dessert when the windchill is -10 than ICE CREAM !?!? While it did take a moment to find - the map actually had us overshoot it - and there is not any bright signage to help; we finally managed to find it and made it in at 9 with 30 min to spare before they closed. I was not prepared for the amazing goodies they offer! They have Hot Fudge core sundaes, milkshakes, specialty flavors, pints you can take home, birthday cakes, and of course your basics like cups and cones. But the best part... the best pet for me and my family... the signage that states "It's your right to know what's in your food! Support GMO labeling" as a family who really have worked to eliminate GMO from our lives this sign it means we can enjoy goodies from Ben and Jerry's and not get sick! My family all have horrible reactions to GMO products from my sister who gets horrible choking spells to my daughter and husband who get horrible sick at their stomach So we have had to forgo lots of formerly fun things or simply make them ourselves. To be able to do like we did tonight and all of us have dessert and enjoy it and not get sick. It was awesome!!! I had a waffle cone of Carmel Blonde Brownie, my husband had an Delicious chocolate shake, my daughter had a chocolate sprinkle waffle cone of Bourbon Brown Butter and my sister had a cup of One Sweet Whirled and Fish Food! We each agreed that no matter how good the pints at home are... sitting in the shop, watching a fresh cone and fresh batch is just the best. And they were extremely reasonably priced. The four of us had all of that and it was less than 20! That's good in my book! We will definitely be back!!

Came for free cone day. Service was great and the line moved very fast. The employees were nice and told us we could get back in line for a second cone!! I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and mint chocolate chunk. I love how many chocolate chunks are in the mint chocolate chunk. I had no idea there was a Ben and Jerry's in Cleveland but am glad I found this one!

One of our absolute favorite ice cakes places . When I think of B&J it just brings back lots of great memories of being a kid and stuffing my face with chunky monkey. The store here near Jcu is so great and the people who work here are so sweet. We went on a cold Cleveland day and decided that some strawberry cheesecake and some chocolate brownie sounded good. It was and yum. Fab place and we love it here .

Good ice cream. Sometimes the ice cream is freezer burned but other than that it is pretty good!

A pretty standard Ben & Jerry's, lots of parking. Nothing really stands out about this one, other than the fact that it never seems particularly crowded and is within walking distance to JCU Campus which is a pretty place to take your ice cream for a stroll.

Very disappointed in the service last night. Our family stopped by after shopping for a treat on the way home. Arrived about 8:30 and was told they wouldn't make any milkshakes because they already cleaned the blenders. Aren't you supposed to be open and serving until 9:00? We are usually hear about once a month, but this visit left a bitter taste with all of us. I guess it's a good thing there are other places to get ice cream. This is not the customer service we've experienced in the past. Quite a letdown by your staff. If they can't work until close maybe they need another job.

Ben & Jerry's is always good. This centrally-located (well, central for the Eastern Suburbs) is a great spot. It also has that extra something, which is a nice patio and tables area.

Just moved into the neighborhood for a summer sublet. I was stoked to find that I now live within walking distance of Ben & Jerry's! They've got great ice cream. But they get two stars for poor service. I've been here twice and don't think I'll come back for the rest of the summer. Both time's I've been in, I've been served by sulking, disgruntled employees. The first time, my husband asked for a couple of cookies while I got a cone. The girl serving us rang us up and promptly ran to the back. Her coworker opened the cookie bin and handed over the last of the cookies to the people behind us. She returned and didn't apologize for the mix-up, just told us in a monotonous voice we could wait ten minutes while she baked more or get a refund. Refund, please. The second time, the place was near empty and there were FIVE employees standing around, not doing anything. We were served by another girl who looked so miserable that I felt like my mere existence was offending her. I love Ben & Jerry's, but I think I'll just get it from the freezer section of the grocery store. Please get some friendly employees, or at least ones who won't make you feel like a terrible person for giving them your business.
