Great pizza, and the service was good. Came back for dinner. Was kinda disappointed that there is there is no Changing table in the restrooms. When my wife asked one of the girls if she could use a chair because there wasn't a changing table the lady just looked at her and said then she would have to sanitize the chair.. kind of a big turn off.

Google
Welcoming staff and good food. Plus outdoor seating is available. We went for lunch so we could get the chicken sandwich. SUCH A GOOD CALL! Hard to say no to a brioche bun. Crunchy purple cabbage slaw and just a little mayo on the bun really made it. PT: be sure to use the house made hot sauce with the sando. 😉 The pizza had a crust with a little chew, which I like, and a nice amount of char. We got the roasted sage and it was excellent! Nice addition to the neighborhood 👍

Google
This place is over priced and the food is pretty ordinary. I ordered a $19 personal pizza but it wasn't creamy. The crust was big. Probably the least value pizza I've ever had. I came here with friends because District across street was packed and out of seats. Won't come here again.

Google
Really nice pizza and pasta spot right on 9th Street. Funky old building with some great interior features, and the lunch menu was very complete with apps, mains as well as cocktails. Everyone in our good sized party love the food, especially the butternut squash soup and pizza dishes. Service was very solid, and while it was not cheap it was a good value for what you get. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this for a great lunch spot.

Google
As far as food, it was pretty cool. Would've preferred a crispier crust but the pizza was good. Service on the other hand, not so much. While the host immediately took care of our table wobble, it took a while before the server came to take our order & didn't do the best job checking on us through the night. I think we came on an off night though because we only dae the host, a server & a bartender on the floor. I'd go again but wouldn't go out of my way.

Google
Good fried sage pizza with sausage. Pizza easily feeds 2 or 3 , and large Ceasar salad feeds 2 or 3 as a first be course. Service good. Bar atmosphere. Small restaurant so reservations recommended. Limited street parking. Easy walk about 2 blocks from the Oakland Courtyard Marriott hotel.

Google
Awesome Pizza place in Old Oakland. Shot up to near the top of my favorite wood-fired pizzas in the area. Crisp thin crust with just enough chew. Sauce was bright and fresh. Kids love the homemade lime cordial soda. Salami calabrian chili pizza was spicy and flavorful. Lemon ricotta donuts were a great finish and they serve my favorite brand coffee, Red Bay.

Google
We’re big fans of the Kensington location and are super excited to see the new location in Oakland. The homemade pastas are fantastic and the Pizzas are super yummy. The Caesar salad is one my favorites anywhere, and the bread pudding is out of this world. If you appreciate good food then you’ll have a great experience at Benchmark!

Yelp
Hwow, that was an amazing piece of pie. Detroit Style pizza, I now belatedly see what the rave is all about! I was trying to use my 17 minutes wisely while waiting for a bus transfer. It didn't really work out that way (I missed it - by an hour or more), but I have no regrets going to Square Pie Guys for a dine-in dinner. Wow, did it blow me away! Mostly, it was the actual pie. The Big Von lived upto its name and not only were the toppings synchronizing harmoniously, but the crust! Oh wow the crust. I am not the type to leave them on the plate but not the type to enjoy them to the point of finishing others'. But boy will I take any leftover crust (if anyone dares to leaves any) from here - frankly, I think it's the best part about the pie. I also liked the ambiance, ease of restroom access, the still/sparking fountain, and that they had all things needed ready to go, even box containers for leftovers (not to mention extra bags) for those dining in. It was easy to do it "self-service" and I liked that I didn't have to go through the whole what I call "finding the best time to ask staff" for them. Great service and nice staff too! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I came in with a party of 9 and knew the seating was kind of tight. But the friendly staff made it work and put some tables together. You can order via QR code on table by table number or at the counter. I tried the veggie pie guys and enjoyed it. The slices are thick and dense. They're definitely shareable. Like others have mentioned, the prices are high. My pie was $24.50 before tax/tip. Street parking Clean restrooms Indoor and outdoor seating available

Yelp
Tasty Detroit-style pizza. I'd give the pizza itself a 4/5 for taste. I'd knock it down a half-notch to a 3.5/5 due to it being a bit overpriced and having little sauce but it's honestly pretty good. Best pizza in that area by far.

Yelp
The pizza is amazing - my favorite around. And it has been my go-to for a while now. BUT, I can't really recommend delivery anymore, unless you have plenty of time to heat it up. The last few times I've ordered, I've been second in the delivery queue, and the delivery people didn't keep it warm at all. It was decidedly lukewarm by the time it got to me. I'd chalk this up as a failure of the delivery service for not having insulated bags to keep the pizza warm, but this time, I ordered a 4-pack of beer, and they packed the cold beer lying on top of the hot pizza in a sealed paper bag. So by the time it got to me, but the pizza AND the beer were both lukewarm. Not the experience I was looking forward to. I want the delivery people to make money, so it's hard to begrudge them the extra efficiency. And it really is very very good pizza. But if you're going to get it delivered, plan to put it in the oven once it gets to you. That's probably going to mean that I order it less often.

Yelp
Came here while in town for an A's game. The pizza was great and the chicken wings were even better. Great food, great service, and easy location. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Been here a few times now and I've become a big fan of Detroit-style pizza. The topping combos can be a hit or miss depending on who's making it. Sometimes the toppings end up more burnt on top. But the wings are always a must order!! So crispy and juicy on the inside.

Yelp
Staff are nice. It was our first time coming here so we took a while looking at the menu and the staff was patient waiting for us to order. You pay first and then can sit anywhere you want. We got the Ellen Supreme pizza and it was good. A tad dry but still good. It was cut into four slices but the pieces are still a good size. If you're looking for a quick bite, I'd say you can even share it four ways since you can all get a slice. If you're hungry, I'd say two people can share one so you can get two slices each. Three people can probably share if you slice up one slice into three haha. They give you forks and knives so you can so that. There are restrooms in case you need to know. The pizza took about 25 minutes to come out. They have water and sparkling water for you to fill yourself!

Yelp
(3.5 out of 5) The food here is very good, I love the area as well, right by Jack London square, somewhere you can make a day out of if you decide to come try square pie guys. Service is very good as well! Very tight seating in here and the place was packed when I came, rightfully so with how good the food is! I'd say it's a solid 4.0/4.5 on good, but it is very expensive (hence the 3.5 out of 5), but all in all this place is a must try for pizza lovers And when you come tell them Rothyy sent you!

Yelp
I came to Square Guys Pizza to celebrate my coworker's bday. This was a Monday during lunchtime. We ordered the Big Bon and Ellen Supreme and really enjoyed both of them. The Big Von is supposedly a popular pizza that has sausages, pepperoni and honey. The honey sounded a bit weird but it actually works well with the toppings combination. The Ellen Supreme was a combination of meats, peppers, veggies and mushroom. The flavors of both pizzas were great and the crust was made perfectly! The pizza dough had a soft and fluffy texture but the crust was so airy crunchy and had a great bite to it! Overall the pizzas were great. We sat in the back patio which had good space and nice picnic tables and heat lamps. We had a group of 5 which supposedly was too many for their inside tables to accommodate. The entrance into the back patio is not connected to the interior of the restaurant so you need to walk around the building to get to the patio area which isn't ideal. The Entrance to the back patio was also a bit dirty and uninviting because there was some trash and flies everywhere. The door to the patio was not open when we arrived so we weren't sure where to go. The service was decent though they were a bit slow to come out to the back to help us out and get us drinks. We waited and sat there for a good 10min before anyone came to help us. Overall I did like their pizzas and enjoyed the food. The service and back patio does need a bit of work. Not sure if it was just a bit of a slow day since we came Monday at lunchtime.

Yelp
Went here on a whim not knowing what it was about and we were definitely pleased. Square pizzas that are deep dish / Detroit style are my all time favorite! I loved the crispy edges and really enjoyed the taste of my pizza! Very flavorful .. but there's a slight sweetness with the sauce that I'm personally not a big fan of.. however, it's not horrible and I would definitely come here again. Service is excellent from everyone! They were patient with all of my needs and very helpful. There is plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside as well. We found street parking and I think there may be lots and a parking garage near by. With their specialty pizzas, you cannot make any changes or add ons. That was kind of disappointing because I don't mind being charged for add ons! But, you are able to build your own pizza (can get expensive though.) Price point may seem a bit high for most, but the pizza is thick/heavy and tasty! So it's worth it to try if you're into deep dish pizzas!

Yelp
Been meaning to try SPG for a while now, and I finally did a few weeks ago. We ordered the Szechuan chicken wings and mush-roni pizze. With a name like Szechuan, I expected the wings to be hot, but it's not and the dry rub can use more flavor. Also, the wings was also pretty dry. The mush-roni was ok, the hot honey really tied the pizze together. Let's get to the dough, the dough was not too greasy which is a plus, but it was closer to a focaccia than detroit style dough. While I appreciated the crunchy edges, the dough was just too heavy, and the sauce to bread ratio could be improved. Detroit style dough wise, I think Cellarmarker is a little better. The toppings here. . . a bit too conventional, again, I think Cellarmarker toppings are better. With that said, the reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of less is because of their commitment to customer service. While I was there, the kitchen first messed up my order, then, they gave my order to someone else. I had to ask at the 45 min mark on what happened to my food before they realized their mistake. To reconcile their mistake, they ended up refunding me, gave me an extra pizza on top of my order, and made sure I was comfortable towards the end of my wait. It ended up taking them over an hour to get me my food, while I was irritated, they did try to make it right, which I appreciated.

Yelp
I am blown awwwwaaaaaayyyyyy. I have been wanting to try this place for the longest & I am very well aware that I am late to the hype. Which is good because I am convinced I would have been a solid 300 pounds. I ordered the sausage, with pep that had a white sauce and the hot honey drizzle along with the crispy Brussels sprouts, now both of these dishes were AMAZING but omg those Brussels just did something for me? The sauce that was served with it is bomb.com but honestly I was sitting there in my living room watching The Bear saying "yes chef" after every bite. The pizza hit my cravings like no tomorrow. I was hungover & started my girly pop cycle & I knew I needed to indulge, so that's exactly what I did. All I know is I will be back - I will walk the lake before and after if it means I get to try every single pizza on the menu.

Yelp
It was my first time and I was hooked! Probably my favorite pizza spot and I'm sad they only have it at ghost kitchens in the South Bay. Crust is perfectly crispy and cheesy. Hot honey is a must. Crispy asparagus as a side with pizza? Weird, but it was delish! Especially their dipping sauce. Outdoor seating was also perfect for lunch.
google avatar

Valerie N.

Yelp
Pretty solid pizza! The spot is cute and a good place to catch up with friends. There's parking around the block and a cafe nearby too! I had a pick up order and the staff were prompt and friendly. We ordered the Big Von and it was delicious, I would absolutely order it again! Portion wise, I feel like it's good for one person or two if you're sharing.

Yelp
I always enjoy square pie guys. It's a bit pricey for 4 pieces of pizza but the ingredients are well worth it. It's my favorite pizza in Oakland. I typically grab take out rather than eating at the restaurant due to the area square pie guys is located. The inside is clean and bright. Street parking is available but hard to find a spot since it's downtown Oakland. Service is quick and friendly. My favorite was the spicy Ellen but is now gone. I also enjoy their other seasonal specials.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
The food is always good and filling. I enjoy the flavors and the food is fresh/hot. Prices are a little high but I feel it is worth it. Love the pepperoni lovers.....
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
I was staying at a hotel just down the block and looking for something good to eat. The hotel recommended this place for excellent and unique pizza. The pizza was unique because it comes in a 6 x 8 size, and it is essentially a personal Detroit-style pizza. My pizza was hot. The crust was excellent. The amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings were all in a perfect proportion. If you're in the area, I would undoubtedly say this is a fun place to stop and enjoy a personal Detroit pizza. The person at the counter was friendly and humorous; they took excellent care of us both when they took the order when they served us the food, and as they checked on us to see if we needed anything else If you're in the area, I would undoubtedly say this is a fun place to stop and enjoy a personal Detroit pizza
google avatar

Yelp
Came here because of the reviews. However, be forewarned that the food here takes forever. I ordered a pepperoni pizza while taking an exam and going out for lunch and it took much longer than expected, around 30 minutes for 1 pizza. Price was a bit over the top in my opinion. I've had all kinds of different pizza spots in cities equally as big as Oakland and have never paid over $25 for 4 slices.. The pizza was okay, it was not out of this world, and in my opinion it did not match the price tag. In a regular pizza shop for $25 you can get about a medium pizza sometimes even a large. Would I come back? Probably not, but if you're looking for bougie and picture worthy pizza this is the spot. Main difference between this pizza and Costco for example, is that one pizza is in a box and shaped like a square. Wish I would've taken a picture, however the pictures by other people are accurate. I Just wish the pizza would've been better given the money paid for it.
google avatar

Alan G.

Yelp
Great owners who have delivered consistent, high-quality pizza (and other offerings) in their different locations, including through Local Kitchens which makes it even easier to get Square Pie Guys pizza when in a pinch. Love their Detroit-style pizza and the abundance of toppings that are creatively combined in their different signature pizzas, which include a terrific crust and a range of different sauces. Hard to pick a favorite really, but if pushed, I would choose the Big Von filled with Italian sausage and pepperoni on top of a white sauce and drizzled with hot honey! Others we love include the Plant Square 2.0 which includes a mix of mushrooms, green olives, roasted broccoli, and blistered cherry tomatoes on top of a red sauce, as well as the classic 6 x 8 pepperoni. We've also used them for catering at work, and they were easy to work with and the food was hot and on time.

Yelp
We love Square Pie Guys BUT will you consider reverting back to the original monkey bread style? Sincerely, Loyal customer Late Night Baker
google avatar

Nan L.

Yelp
the pizza is definitely good, but they might make some of best brussel sprouts i've ever had -- not because of any sort of exotic seasoning mix, but just a wonderful cook that results in a great consistency + are just a pleasure to eat also, and maybe i'm a hillbilly for thinking this is so cool, but they have a sparkling water dispenser that was just great can you say hillbilly nowadays? is that not pc/going to get me cancelled? first google result says it's not only okay, it's promoted; good enough for me! thank you for the pizza + veggies :)
google avatar

Yelp
Man, oh man! I was struggling to try and find late night Yummies while on vacay at 8:30 p.m. from Uber Eats or DoorDash that didn't close in 30 minutes. Not to mention, trying to compare great ratings on the apps in comparison to Google reviews and Yelp to see if people were saying the same thing about the spots - IYKYK!!! I stumbled upon this pizza spot and had a good hour before they closed, so I went ahead and ordered. Fortunately, it wasn't too far from where I was staying and delivery was quick. The pizza came hot and the salad looked fresh. Yes, I did actually order a salad, but who cares about that, let's talk about the pizza. As many pepperonis as the pizza could stand, and very cheesy, So glad I didn't have to order extra cheese. Pizza was perfect, absolutely no complaints! This meal hit the spot! I'll definitely keep this place in mind if back in the Oakland, CA area and need of a "late night" snack.

Casey S.

Yelp
Ended up checking out Square Pie Guys after all the hype. While it's a bit expensive for what you get, it's still a great take on Detroit Deep Dish. We ended up getting two for two people, but we ended up being full after two slices. Just be warned that everybody's got the same idea around their Old Oakland location - lots of people double parked!

Yelp
UPDATE: 7/11/2024 I recently went back here and tried another pizza and was pleasantly impressed with how good it was. I'm glad I gave this place another try. Pic below

Yelp
Clearing out my camera roll... photos are from two different visits here. I came here a few months ago with a friend. The service was okay. Staff is very busy as expected because we came late into the evening for dinner. The pizza is so good. If you don't eat pizza often and you like real gourmet pizza, it is definitely worth the price. The chicken wings are good also. The salad was delicious.
google avatar

Quandra R.

Yelp
Excellent pizza! Delicious flavors and I am in love with the garlic wings! Order ahead and you can just park, grab, and go. They're pretty popular so be prepared to wait if you're ordering to go. They also have dine in service as well.
google avatar

Yelp
10/10 always! I can't break away from the Big Von it is always hot, fresh and delicious! I now love honey on pizza it just balances the flavors so well....Whenever it's pizza time it's always a treat to come here because I know my square will be fire!!

alejandra b.

Yelp
I've been here numerous times, definitely love the Szechuan wings they're the absolute best. I've been alternating pizza flavors lately trying their seasonal ones. I wish they lasted longer or would keep some of them permanently. Last night we had "Da Grubby Pie" it was very tasty. We ordered online and they were kind enough to still seat us. Nice indoor and outdoor space to enjoy your food. I will say it's a little on the pricier side but oh so tasty so we definitely treat ourselves when we come here.

Yelp
What can I say!?!? I love love Square Pie Guys! I love the pizzas so much that I have them once or twice a month, that's a lot for someone who doesn't eat pizza much. But I love their Detroit pizzas! Not only are the pizzas good, the food here is amazing! I love their Sichuan wings, a hint of spices that's NOT overwhelming. Please bring back the Brussels sprouts! Don't get me started with the salad. I love salads, and their salad is HUGE and delicious! Their cheese bread is a must-order with some HOT Mike sauce on top, while the monkey bread is the best way to end this delicious meal. Square Guy Pie is definitely my favorite pizza spot in Oakland, they have a beautiful patio that is so relaxing to chill with friends, family, and coworkers. Ps. Monday Big Box deals- $12.05 for the second pizzas. Make sure to sign up with their TEXT list, they have special deals pizza every so often, I know I'm a fan.
google avatar

Lucy N.

Yelp
It's a little pricey but I really enjoy their square pie. I prefer to build my own Red sauce Sausage Pepperoni Broccoli Grilled onions
google avatar

Erika T.

Yelp
First time here! I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Square Pie. It was a balanced and fulfilling meal! The pizza came in a big portion and could be well off served for two! Need to note that the Togo Boxes, + water cups are self served and bill is paid via QR code as a group or solo so it's very convenient! The inside is pretty during the nighttime! The sign in the inside glows with the plants hanging off the wall. Although, I would like more options including pesto, garlic chicken or some white sauce sort! I'd definitely come back here and order something else!
google avatar

Yelp
Each successive visit I make to the Square Pie Guys (SPG) in Oakland it gets incrementally BETTER! This is my 3rd time and I absolutely think SPG makes the areas best Detroit style pizza. And their selection of toppings range from traditional to seasonal to "wow, why didn't I think of that before". A lot of people take out from this location, so just belly-up to the cashier and make your request 'cause the service is great and if you decide to eat your pie on-location (which I recommend if you want the most flavorful, piping hot experience) then settle your party at the tables. Great pizza. Great people.
google avatar

Anthony B.

Yelp
Yup. The pizza here has everything I'm looking for. I got the"Fall Pie Guys" seasonal special and the flavors worked very well together. The caramelized onions and garlic confit added a complex sweetness. This paired with the sourness from the tomato vinaigrette gave each bite a lot of balance. The dough isn't super heavy, which is my main complaint when it comes to this style of pizza. It's made fresh, so it's really soft and pillowy. Although it still makes you full you really fast. I cant just slam down 4 of these slices like with a NY style pizza. So 1 order is good for like 2 meals. The crust is excellent. It might even be my favorite part, which is pretty crazy. Its crunchy, flaky without being too hard. I think they added cheese on it as well? I could eat this crust as a stand alone dish! I give this place 5 stars because I would go out of my way to try their pizza again. The quality and freshness of the ingredients really shines and I consider this place among the top pizza places in the bay area. This is coming from someone who typically likes thin crust!

Anthony M.

Yelp
It was a very good pizza, very small, 6" x 8" by my measurements) but very good, with pepperoni, mushrooms and "Italian sausage". I put that sausage in quotes because it's not American type Italian sausage. It's more like pan fried salumi, or thick bacon pieces. (I KNOW, it's a chopped up sausage link, but is dry and overcooked in comparison to what you'd want.) Not that I didn't like it, but it wasn't what I expected. Now, what I didn't like....I still wish the sausage was what I expected. You're limited to 2 meats and 2 vegetables and worse, you can't get a larger size. The price is acceptable for what you get, but they try to get you to give a 30% tip to the driver (a trick a lot of places use), which is ridiculous. As it was, I gave my usual $5, which was 19% of the food cost. Then they give you a code for free delivery, but slip in 10% service fee, presumably from Door Dash, AFTER you pay. There should be a law! I know that is what people are tolerating, but not me. The negatives lost you two stars. The photo shows a standard mandeliene cookie, so you can see how small it is.

Yelp
We came in this weekend after being "influenced" on Instagram. We've walked by a few times, but have never stopped in. First off, the ordering system was strange. There are tables and QR codes, but we weren't sure if we should just walk to a table. It took longer than expected to be able to ask anyone. Once we placed our order (a salad and a regular square with gluten free crust), we hung out at one of the tables for a while. The decor is nice, overall, and there are a lot of huge windows to let in light. The food was okay. The salad was pretty large, though there wasn't much in it considering they charged us $13 for it. We would have appreciated more, smaller pieces of squash. The pizza was also a bit underwhelming. The first bite, especially for a gluten free pizza, was really good, but it quickly wore out its welcome. It's very greasy and doughy, and I started to feel like I was eating a cheese-flavored cake instead of a pizza. We finished the pie, but I regretted it by the time I was done eating. All in all, I'm not sure that I would return.

Yelp
Square Pie Guys is located on a nice corner spot of downtown Oakland. I am a thin-crust pizza lover, but this Detroit-style pizza was GOOD. There's a bunch of flavor combos and also a create your own option. We tried the Big Von, Ellen Supreme, and Sisig limited edition collab. Big Von was my favorite (I'm a white sauce girl) and is the sole reason I will come back- next time I'll ask for extra hot honey. I didn't love the Ellen and wished the vodka sauce was just normal marinara, but my boyfriend loved it. The sisig was my least favorite and I would not recommend it. So bland- big pass. We parked right outside on the Main Street and our tesla got broken into. While the pizza is good, I wouldn't recommend leaving your car around there.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of savoring this Detroit-style pepperoni pizza, and it was a mouthwatering delight. The hallmark of this pizza style is the crispy, caramelized cheese crust that adds a satisfying crunch to every bite. The succulent pepperoni was generously layered across the pizza, and it crisped up beautifully, offering a delightful contrast to the creamy, slightly sweet tomato sauce. The edge of the crust, with its golden-brown, cheese-laden exterior, was a true treat for the senses. This Detroit-style pepperoni pizza is a real winner. If you're a pizza enthusiast, you won't want to miss this heavenly creation. It's a hearty, satisfying dish that will have you coming back for more with every irresistible bite.

Yelp
My favorite Detroit-style pizza restaurant in Oakland. The Big Von gluten free & dairy free pizza is my all time favorite By the way what happened with the old logo. It was much cooler than the new one blue melting pizza.

Yelp
Always looked forward to trying this place, and I was happy that they opened one up in the East Bay. The Detroit style pizzas lived up to their hype with high quality ingredients and creative toppings. We had the sisig pizza that seems to be a seasonal item. It was a hit, and it would be great if they kept this one on the menu. we also got a vegetarian pizza (I forgot the name of it), and it was also a great decision. They don't skimp on the toppings as it is really filling and leaves you with plenty to take home. Two critiques I have are that they do charge additional for every sauce. It is about $1.25 per sauce. It would be nice to get one free sauce with a purchase of a pizza. Another critique is that it took us a long time to get our food. I believe we waited about half an hour to get our pizza while we were dining in. I would advise to call ahead of time to place an order since it seemed like they were busy with to-go orders as there wasn't many people dining in that day.

Yelp
Food is great, but service was fantastic. I ordered to the wrong location but the server notified the manager and she personally TEXTED the other branch and asked them to cancel the order and put it my order to their location. Was very sweet and apologetic the whole time for something that was my fault, not theirs! Unbelievably sweet of them. Ambiance was also great, with the servers rapport, music, and vibe.

Yelp
Sooooooooo.... I'm a fan! SPG took over the old B restaurant and I although I had driven by a few times as saw it, it wasn't until my homeboy invited me to dinner that I really paid it any attention. - and boy am I happy I did. You can tell how clean a place is by the windows, floors and the bathroom and this place passed with flying colors. Everything in here is pristine clean and although you smell the pizzas they're cooking, the air smells fresh like they just opened. I loved the décor too. - how the blue complimented the white and I especially loved the hip neon pizza slice. You can dine in or take out, but I'd dine in because between the cute little dining room and the outdoor seating they offer, you can't lose. Three words can describe their pizza. Deep dish excellence. *chef's kiss* I ordered "The Big Von" and it did not disappoint. That white sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and hot honey was a delicious combo. I also tried the "Ellen Supreme" and that pickled peppers and mushroom medley was so on point. I paid about $23-25 per pizza and each one came cut in four slices. I was full by the second slice and ended up taking the rest to work for lunch. Btw, you can eat it hot or cold and either way it will 'wow' your tastebuds. For walk-in takeout orders, you order, and they send you confirmation that your pizza is being made via text message. Once it's ready, the send you another text message to come and pick it up. I loved that I could go back to my car and wait to be notified. The customer service is really good. Everyone I've encountered has been helpful, patient, and friendly and that's part of why I'll be back....... tonight actually. May even try something new.

Yelp
Cute and decent sized pizza joint with both indoor and outdoor seating. Employees were attentive and quick. 6x8 -- 5/5! Can never go wrong with a good ol pepperoni pizza. Nice and cheesy with a generous amount of pepperoni. Mush-o-roni -- 3/5. Sweet, savory.. that's all I have to say, lol.

Yelp
Stopped by Square Pie Guys because the pizza looked amazing in photos. Turns out it tastes just as great as the photos if not better. Got the How Mush-Room and it was so heavenly with an epic cheese pull. One pie is about $26-$30. Pizza is small but VERY filling. Perfect balance of chewy, cheesy, & crunchy. I was done after one slice to be honest. My palate could have had more but my stomach was already full. Great Detroit style pizza spot to check out in downtown Oakland if you're hungry hungry! Service was friendly and the ambiance was clean and bright with the tall windows.  Ambiance 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 5/5

Yelp
I stumbled upon this Detroit-style pizza place after missing out on an opportunity to eat Chinese food in the Chinatown district of downtown Oakland. I arrived here during their lunch rush and to be expected the pizza shop was close to capacity with diners. At least all of the indoor seating was occupied by diners. I was able to place my order and receive it within 15-20 minutes. The pizza I received was classic Detroit-style, pan pizza quality. The ingredients were fresh and so was the flavor. I ordered The 6x8, which essentially is their all-pepperoni pizza, and their Hot Honey wings. Both were delicious and I'd certainly order them again. One thing to note is the pizza is square and cut into four equal square slices. Each pie can serve two individuals or one hungry individual. Overall a good experience. Give them a try.

Yelp
Good pizza. Thick, decadent deep dish slices with a lot of good flavor. I enjoyed the red sauce and the pepperoni was super flavorful. We waited a while for our order to be complete and we dined in the restaurant. It's a small spot with about 3-4 tables and seats about 12-15 people. They have artisan drinks and sodas that are pretty cool. I know that the Bay Area is more expensive than Southern CA so the prices were reasonable for downtown Oakland. Our food choice while in town was delicious here. We will surely return.

Yelp
Solid slices. Had the traditional pepperoni and one that had green olives. Both super tasty.

YahYah ..

Yelp
Good pizza i've tried the regular pepperoni pizza and the white sauce one or i customize my toppings but sometimes i i don't like how burnt char the pepperonis are on the pizzas because they become too crispy and not juicy but i live close by so it's always a nice choice the Ambiance of the restaurant is really cool. the customer service is okay.

Yelp
The pizza tasted great, but unfortunately, the people in my group who ate the Ellen Supreme think they both got food poisoning. They both can normally eat dairy, so it's probably not because of lactose intolerance, and I only ate the How Mush-room and did not have problems. I can't say for sure that it's from the pizza, but they both experienced the same thing some time after the meal. Sad that they had this experience because I would've given this place 5 stars otherwise! This place is accessible by both bus and BART. There is seating both inside and outside. They have a cute patio out back. To order, you scan the QR code on the table and pay and order online. The pizza took about 15-20 minutes to come out, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a rush. I ate the How Mush-room pizza. I loved how crisp the edges were. I also liked how the mushrooms were cut into chunks because it gave them a more meaty texture. We ordered some hot honey packets to drizzle on top. The honey added a nice sweetness, but it wasn't very spicy. I don't know that I'd say the honey was worth the money. The pizza was very filling! I was full after two pieces! I wish I could give a better review because there aren't many places where I can get Detroit pizza in the area.

Yelp
Loved the buffalo wings! The wings were crispy and nicely sauced - & the pizza - the crust was fluffy and with a perfect crunch. I really love how they don't have an overwhelming amount of choices as well! Can't wait to try other flavors.
