The Ultimate Guide to Boba in Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley

"BenGong’s Tea is a Chinese boba shop with more than 700 locations globally. The boba shop specializes in organic teas and is most famous for its Chinese decor. Many of the drinks are unique and cannot be found at other boba shops, with an array that includes milk teas, fruit teas, cheese teas, and cheese smoothies. Ben Gong’s also offers several toppings and additions: tea cube jellies, boba, cheese foam, coconut jelly, and a special Tibetan hulless barley with a satisfying chewy bite and antioxidant properties. Other popular drinks include purple taro cheese slush, Da Hong Pao milk tea, osmanthus rice milk tea, burnt caramel cheese milk tea, and mango pomelo sago." - Kristie Hang

4 Extraordinary Boba Shops to Know in Los Angeles and Orange County | Eater LA

"At BenGong’s in Arcadia I found a modern Chinese–inspired ambience paired with a vast, chef-driven menu — cream-topped milk teas, passionfruit sparkling teas, cheesy fruit slushes, mango-pomelo sago, and burnt brown-sugar milks — presented with a level of quality that belies its roughly 700-location scale. What really distinguishes the shop is its selection of toppings, from Tibetan hulless barley with a satisfying pop and chewy exterior to multiple foams, jellies, and boba, making it great for drinkers who know what they want and appreciate meticulous attention to topping detail." - Matthew Kang

Google
Apparently, we were late to the party and didn’t realize this spot had been trending in Arcadia for a while. Our son told us about it, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Pina Colada tea and a hot red bean taro drink. The drinks were decent—not bad at all, but not exactly the best we’ve had either. Service was friendly, though on the slower side. The shop itself is cute, with fun décor featuring traditional Chinese characters that give it a nice vibe. While the hype seems to have died down a bit, it’s clear a lot of people still know this place from social media. Overall, a decent stop if you’re in the area and curious, but probably not one we’d go out of our way for.

Google
The people who work here are friendly, and the service is good It looks like they have bubble teas that I haven’t seen elsewhere, and I would be open to trying them in the future I had the jasmine green tea with tapioca, and I like it, though I wouldn’t say it’s the best bubble tea I have had

Google
Just tried the new Mocktail Pina Colada and it totally hit the spot! 🍍 Super refreshing with a strong, natural pineapple flavor—perfect for a hot day. It’s non-alcoholic but still packed with tropical vibes and balanced sweetness. Great choice if you’re looking for something light, fruity, and satisfying. Highly recommend giving it a try! 🌴✨

Benggongs Tea 📍411 E Huntington Dr Suite 113, Arcadia, CA 91006 - ⭐️5/5 💰2/5 ($) 🅿️ parking lot - 📩 Boba boba! I had the chance to try out @bengong and it was super delicious! We ordered: 1. Mango Mochi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. Osmanthus Latte ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3. Jasmine Tea Latte ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. Peach Latte ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think the best Asian compliment you can get for dessert is the “not so sweet,” from your aunties, and this was definitely what it was giving. The sweetest drink by far was the Mango Mochi which was served as a slush. It was super refreshing and a good pick me up drink for a hot day. The tea lattes were also very good and are definitely a good option for less sweet items. My personal favorite between the lattes had to be the peach latte which was super refreshing and a good study drink! Environment is also a good place to study and chill at, but definitely on the smaller side 📚🙇‍♀️📖 💌 #invite ₊˚⊹♡ follow @no0delle for more 𝜗𝜚⋆₊˚ more info - ⏰12-8pm sun-thurs, 12-9pm fri&sat

Google
I was attracted by the anime-style art here and the make-a-wish tree in the store. That's why I was here in the first place, but then I found out tea was very nice and it's the real, strong tea without any doubt on the quality. I ordered zero sugar and was really impress by the tea scent without any sweetness. This is so rare in tea/boba shop in America. They also have free wifi and nice seating. The servers were very friendly to give me pen and wishing card to hand on the tree. I also got the tea gift set back home to brew it myself and they're great flavor!

Google
Update 9/25 — this is the best milk tea in the greater LA area. Add the Highland Barley to your drink along with boba it is amazing!! We have been back many times and drive 45 minutes just to get ben gong!! If it’s your first time here start with the Superior Milk Tea (20-50% sugar) or DaHongPao or Dragon Well. The price is reasonable around $4.50-$7 and the lady was very friendly. Their art and cups are really cool too.

Google
Came in here to check out what they had and was pleasantly surprised with their unique decor. Ended ordering a strawberry yalkut tea with 25% sugar & cheese foam on top! Highly recommend, not too sweet & mixing it together after a couple of sips really brings it to another level! Overall very happy with the drink here, definitely worth trying!

Google
So far this location is generous with their toppings. I would rather come here for my barely burst beads. Their service overall is pretty good.

Yelp
OH MY GOD! this place is so good and yummy! I had gotten the mango mochi and it tasted like heaven! And the service was exceptional! The barista that took my order was Phoenix and their service was AMAZING!! Super nice and friendly! The ambiance was very chill that i was studying. Would come again!

Yelp
I feel like ben gong is always a safe option when it comes to boba. They have a variety of unique flavors, whether it's fruity or milky. My go to is their peach oolong milk tea with boba and barley. You can really taste the peach and the oolong tea and the flavors blend well together. They also have other refreshing fruity options that are all delicious! They were doing a thanksgiving promo where you receive a free tote bag and a free bag of tea when you buy any drink which was pretty neat! Service was excellent and we received our orders quickly. The shop has a good amount of seating for a boba store and is clean. Would recommend trying!

Yelp
if you're craving a milk tea, their special boba milk tea gets the job done. It's very tasty but can be a bit sweet since the boba has its own sugar glaze so I recommend 25 or 0% sweet if you typically like not very sweet things. Baristas are super nice and welcoming! good study space, seating up to 4 per table, with solid internet connection
google avatar

Ana T.

Yelp
We came here to get some milk tea. They were doing a little promotion for Thanksgiving. Buy a drink and get a free tote bag and tea bag. Parking was ok although I did have a little trouble getting out due to the large truck parked behind me. Service was excellent. Cups were as artsy and pretty as ever. We got the Mochi Mango, Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea, Dragon Well Milk Tea, and Cheese Oolong Tea. The Mochi Mango and Cheese Oolong Tea was very good and tasty. The Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea was a little too sweet at 100% sweetness. The Dragon Well Milk Tea just tasted like milk, so that one didn't meet expectations. Overall, good drinks here.

Yelp
This boba spot is open daily Hours are 12-8pm and Fri & Sat - they're open until 9! Parking is ok but it's shared with many other businesses so it could be challenging Menu has a good variety of fruit and milk tea drinks Pricing was ok - expect to pay $6-$7+ (most drinks can be either hot (+$0.50) or cold and there are 2 sizes - regular & large (+$0.75). There are a lot of topping options - $0.75). There are ice and sugar adjustments available. Loved the online ordering - did this option and it was so fast, easy, and convenient! Service was welcoming and friendly Inside was quite small but there were a few tables and chairs Mango Pomelo Sago ($6.25) - got this half sweet and less ice. This was not too sweet but I hardly tasted any mango unfortunately. I was expecting real mango pieces but just had bits of sour Pomelo. I think I prefer the mango Pomelo Sago from Yifang more so this was 6/10 Peach Oolong Milk Tea ($5.50) was pretty good! Got this half sugar, less ice, and with boba (+$0.75). It wasn't too sweet and the barley pieces were chewy and yummy! The boba was soft and fresh. However, I didn't really taste much of the peach or oolong so this was 7/10 Overall, I was quite disappointed so I most likely won't recommend or return.

Yelp
I came a couple of weeks ago on a Monday evening with a friend and it was pretty empty, maybe one or two other people present but on their way out. Since I was trying to avoid having caffeine too late I got a couple of recommendations from a staff member (their non caffeine list isn't too expansive if you want milk tea), and landed on their brown sugar boba, but asked if I could still do the crème brûlée cheese foam top! While we waited, at least in the Arcadia location they have little corner to browse really cute stick on nails and a small sit down area with beautiful wall art. The cheese foam top with crème brûlée was so yummy, and my first time trying it that way as well. The boba itself was a little on the harder side and slightly more chewy than I sometimes prefer, but the brown syrup with the cheese foam added created a really nice sweet, creamy, lightly salted flavor which I loved! I found myself craving it again the following week and went on Saturday evening where it was packed inside! People kept coming in after I placed my order and the boba this time was the perfect texture - almost like how the perfect noodle is al dente, the boba was the perfect texture at soft but chewy this time! Most likely because Saturdays are so much busier. I also found out there are different locations and I will definitely be coming back to one of their chains!

Yelp
Overall, not comparable to the SG location in interior decor, taste, or service. We got the below: Oreo brulee milk tea: ran out of boba and replaced with mochi that tastes like tiny torn up bits of mochi. No tea taste. Creamy lychee: acceptable Matcha red bean: not bad, but doesn't look anything like the advertised picture Strawberry sparkling tea: not very sparkling, very sour, more like slightly strawberry tasting water I think the lady who helped me here was extremely pushy and up in my personal space to push their friends handmade press on nails. I wanted to just look and she kept handing me ones I didn't want (told her I'd just look myself, didn't want short, didn't want this or that). It was extremely annoying and her discount sucked, and I wanted her to leave me alone to look for myself. She even pushed my friend who was looking out of the way. Didn't like this experience and won't come back.

Yelp
I've come here a couple times after eating at the Pho place in the same plaza, and I'd say it's a solid spot to get your boba fix! Their interior is super cute, I love the wishing tree they have in the shop. They have lots of seating and an overall cute ambience, great for chatting with friends! Their servers are quick with drinks, I don't think I've ever had to wait too long for mine! I usually go with a Jasmine Tea with foam and this place is pretty solid! I will say their drinks run on the sweet side so definitely opt for 70% to 50% sweetness if you like a good balance. Overall, great place! Give it a try if you are in the area.

Yelp
Arrived on a Saturday night and no line and only a few people in store. I ordered the mango mochi which is a sweet milk base with mango paste and some sweet rice flour goop (they call it mochi) and the mango sago pomelo. The mango sago pomelo is their #1 and was good. I could pass on the mango mochi. Drinks are around $7. Customer service was good and drinks were made fast. They sell press on nails here too so random lol. The interior is nice with seating for studying or hanging out. Lots of parking in the same plaza as Vita Cane. Overall, mango sago was good. I will try another drink next time.
google avatar

Frank S.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday night and was shocked--this place was practically empty despite being in a bustling plaza with heavy hitters like Capital Seafood and VitaCane. It definitely deserves way more love. I got the mango pomelo sago and mango mochi drink, and both were solid: fresh, well-balanced, and tasty--nothing life-changing, but genuinely enjoyable. Prices felt fair for the quality and portion size. The interior is bright and welcoming, and the service was friendly and quick. If you're in the area craving boba or tea, don't sleep on this spot. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
This is a very interesting place. Stopped by to try it out because I was in the area. I'm not familiar with these type of drinks so I tried the drink they had advertised as their special. I told the person at the counter I didn't know about the drinks and he talked so fast I couldn't really understand him. Something about how sweet I wanted it, so I was able to tell him not too much. We did get that far. The drink tasted good luckily. It would be nice if the person at the counter could be more helpful to newbies.

Yelp
Perfect choice to get your mango sagoo. Ambience is cool and cozy though this place has limited space. They also offer all kind of milk tea, fruit tea & latte series. Unfortunately, I canceled to order matcha latte because it is already premix with milk and I couldn't consume any milk due to health issue. And they do not have substitute for almond milk or oat milk either, too bad. Overall experience was pleasant though...

Yelp
BenGong's Tea is a Chinese franchised tea shop founded in 2015. Apparently they have over 700+ stores globally and they came to USA in 2019. This Arcadia location is supposedly the 1st West Coast store. The shop is known for the interior Chinese decor and cheese teas / cheese smoothies. [Parking]: Easy and free plaza parking - no issue finding an available spot on Saturday afternoon. [Atmosphere]: Your typical boba shop setting with tables and nothing to write home about. [Menu]: According to the website, the top 6 milk tea drinks are Special Boba Milk Tea, Peach Oolong Milk Tea (Cream Top), Burnt-Caramel Cheese Milk Tea, Burnt-Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea, and Golden Sesame Milk Slush. The top 6 fruit tea drinks are Mango Pomelo Sago, Passionfruit Super Fruit Cup, Orange Jasmine Tea, Passion Fruit Sparkling Tea, Grage Cheese Slush, and Strawberry Yakult Tea. *** Peach Oolong Milk Tea (no cream top & Cold & 100% Regular Sugar & Less Ice - $5.50 regular): I asked the staff and 100% regular sugar & less ice were the recommendations. I couldn't really taste peach flavor and the drink really didn't hit the mark. I actually didn't finish the entire drink. *** Overall it is an a-okay tea shop - not the worst place to catch up with friends but this is probably not the best 1st date spot given there's nothing additional to see in the surrounding area.

Yelp
Went to try this place and got the mocktail pina colada and it was very refreshing. Staff friendly, place is clean, parking can be a challenge. Went there at 12pm. My compadre got #3 peach oolong and the funny thing was they added barley which is used in soup but good.

Yelp
3.5 stars for the drinks. The quality of the tea and ingredients were good, but I found that the way my boba milk tea was made impacted the taste. While the employees were super nice, their familiarity with the menu varies. One time, I had a thorough and knowledgeable person explain the drinks. Another time, my question was answered with a brisk "oh, I wouldn't know" and that was it. Wifi was free; I scanned the QR code to connect on my phone and laptop. The inside of the small shop was bright and fun, with a wish tree on display and custom press on nail kits for sale. There was a small table for two outside and 3 or 4 tables that seat 4 inside. Sitting away from the speakers, I thought the volume of the music was reasonable. However, the ambient noise got loud as each table filled up with customers. I noticed outlets on the wall opposite of the tables. DRINKS ORDERED - Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea ($5.25 regular size + $0.75 Boba). I asked for regular ice and 75% sugar, but maybe I should have ordered extra ice because the pearls were piping hot. Due to the temperature, the boba was extremely soft. It melted all of the ice and brought out the sourness of the cheese, which was a bit unpleasant. I was quite disappointed until I got halfway into the drink. Once I got to the cooled part, I could taste the subtle tea and caramel notes in the creamy, salty-sweet beverage. The texture of the boba firmed up to an acceptable hardness and chewiness (for me). I also enjoyed the crispy toasted coconut on top. The sweetness level was good for me, and even my bf who usually prefers 50% sweetness gave it the compliment of "not too sweet". - Strawberry Cheese Tea ($6.25 large size, 75% sugar). I wanted no caffeine, but they only offered lower caffeine options. This drink had a small amount of jasmine green tea that I couldn't really taste, so it did the trick. However, the flavor of the slush was just okay. It honestly tasted like a diluted smoothie made with frozen strawberries that you could make at home. However, I appreciated the light sweetness and tartness and the finely blended ice. My favorite component was the thick and slightly salted cream cheese topping. Lastly, I had a sip of my friend's iced osmanthus cloud drink. I'm not sure what fruit was in it, but I thought it tasted refreshing, maybe a little sweet.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a few times to grab tea, and it's always pretty decent. Prices are a bit high for a small cup, but the drinks themselves aren't bad. We got a sesame milk tea with no extra sweetness, and overall we enjoyed it. There's plenty of room to hang out, so you'll probably end up staying a while to finish your tea.
google avatar

Yelp
Apparently, we were late to the party and didn't realize this spot had been trending in Arcadia for a while. Our son told us about it, so we decided to give it a try. The shop itself is cute, with fun décor featuring traditional Chinese characters that give it a nice vibe. Yelp
We went 10 minutes before they close on a Saturday night and ordered two drinks. The store decor is pretty cool. Even though we were the last customers for the night, the staffs took a good amount of time to prepare our teas which came out pretty good. Although it's a little wait, it's worth it. One thing I noticed is that the menu posted on the store window is a little different than the one inside the store. There wasn't an indication of hot drinks on the window menu. Will come back to try other teas on the menu.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
First impression was that the place was aesthetically cute, not too busy for a Sunday afternoon, sold gel nails, and was located in a big plaza with ample free parking. I got their jasmine green milk tea with crystal boba, less ice and 50% sweetness. It was a 3/5 for me, as I thought it was pretty watered down. The sweetness came from the crystal boba, but without the additional add on, I don't think I would've liked the drink on its own. The service was fast, I probably got my drink less than 5 minutes after placing my order. The store is also cute and had sufficient indoor seating. They had other drinks featured on their menu that are considered their top sellers, so maybe I have to come back and give those a try. I wasn't impressed by their jasmine green milk tea, so I'm not in a rush to come back.
google avatar

T R.

Yelp
My friend got the Jasmine milk tea with tea cubes (regular sweetness, regular everything). There was almost no ice, so the drink melted super fast and ended up tasting really watered down. Even at regular sweetness, it was bland. We also tried the Oolong with boba and had the same issue..... weak, watered-down flavor. The boba itself was way too soft and pretty much tasteless, which was surprising since reviews made it sound amazing. I ordered the blended peach with cheese foam (regular sweetness, crystal boba). It was ok.... definitely sweeter than the other drinks, but still nothing special. For the price, I expected way more flavor and quality. Overall, expensive drinks with bland taste. Definitely not worth the hype. The place itself / inside was nice but the workers were not really helpful or friendly either.
google avatar

Yelp
8pm boba ain't the move here but the tea's good. Super cute and clean store. Service is kind. Love the art and local nail art goods. * osmanthus rice milk tea (5/5) * specialty milk tea (3/5) * boba topping (2/5) - overcooked
google avatar

Janelle N.

Yelp
I ordered the black rice taro milk tea. I wasn't sure what to expect, but what it ended up being was definitely not what I anticipated for. The black rice and taro was blended and scraped on the sides of the cup. I honestly enjoyed those toppings but I wished it was blended more with the drink since I found myself needing to use the straw to scrape at it. tHowever, there seemed to be no tea at all and just tasted like I was drinking milk. I was really disappointed given my great experiences the other times here. I'm wondering if it is just particular drinks that aren't as good.

Xiang X.

Yelp
As all of us Chinese boba enthusiasts say- the best boba is the one that's not too sweet. This is perfect for my palette when I order anything 25% sweetness level! They've upgraded to a new self-service ordering kiosk that supports both Chinese and English which I will always opt for the Chinese menu. The mango pomelo sago tasted just as amazing as ever, with plenty of toppings!
google avatar

Lee L.

Yelp
Black, bold, and brilliant. Appearing just a few years back as a fringe item, the presence of black sesame drinks have gone from novelty to non-negotiable at boba establishments. At BenGong's Tea, black sesame lives out its full flavor potential. Earthy and smooth, the Golden Sesame Milk Slush's rich, nutty flavor is intensified by a luxurious layer of cheese foam. Compared to some other tea houses, the sesame taste here is more pronounced. If you've never tried a black sesame drink, it's a good spot for 1st impressions. If it's not your 1st, then it'll still make a lasting impression. Update: Taro Cheese Slush on the 2nd visit was a bit weird, just sweet with little taro flavor. Can't vouch for everything here I guess, but that gold dusted sesame drink though!
google avatar

Kawamura K.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I was unable to take any pictures of the drink. We went for a quick drink before hanging out with friends. We wanted to try some new items so we tried random recipes and they were all sweet and delicious. The ones with the less sugar hit the spot. Since it was our first time, I'm not sure how the service was before. However, the staff was great and welcoming. It had a fun atmosphere and light music in the background.

Yelp
Bengong's has a distinct interior that is very similar, if not identical, to their other franchise stores, and it is gorgeous. That being said, service was average, they don't have a self-order kiosk like the Irvine location. My friend and I went here to Bengong's in Arcadia for a taste comparison test as we did not have a good experience at the Irvine location. Got the Peach Oolong Milk Tea (no adjustments) and Tea Cube Milk Tea - Jasmine Tea (25% sweetness, no ice). These are the same drinks we both got at the Irvine location. - Peach Oolong Milk Tea: I got this with no adjustments. Significantly better than when I got this at their location in Irvine! This time, the drink tasted similar to other peach oolong milk teas I've had from other shops. However, while it's better than the Irvine location's, the taste of the peach oolong tea was still faint and not as fragrant as I'd prefer or that it should have been in general. Again, I wouldn't recommend this drink based on my experience. - Tea Cube Milk Tea - Jasmine Tea: My friend got this at 25% sweetness with no ice. This tasted very fragrant as a tea, and the tea cube topping was more flavorful than I had at the other location in Irvine. It was not as diluted with milk either. While I would like a stronger tea flavor, this is still drastically better than the first time we got it in Irvine. My friend also agrees that this location does a better job with the strength and flavor of the teas and the balance with the milk. Overall, this location is why I'd consider going back, but to make the drive for an inconsistent quality, I personally don't see myself doing so. This franchise as a whole seems inconsistent per location, which also makes sense because it's a franchise with different management and staff each location. Unfortunately, that's enough for me to be discouraged to return despite the better quality here. At the end of the day though, this was a fun little experience to do the taste comparison test, perhaps I will continue this with the Garden Grove and San Diego locations eventually too. I would say that it's a hit-or-miss here, so if you're interested and in the area, it's worth a try. Otherwise, I don't see it being something to go out of your way for.

Yelp
This place is super cute! If it wasn't for yelp, I definitely wouldn't have seen it. It's tucked away in a small plaza. I went on a Saturday around 5:30 pm and there was no line. Since it was my first time, I went with their Special Boba Milk Tea with no changes. You could really taste the quality of the tea. The boba was a great texture too. Next time I'll definitely lower the sweetness. There are lots of tables for you to chat or work from. It's a solid boba spot.
google avatar

Yelp
This tea shop is super cute with Phoenix decor and a wishing tree (we added ours!)! Also they were doing a special where if you got a drink you'd get a free tea bag to take home. The servers are patient and swift. I opted to get the #1 fruit tea mango pomelo sago. It hit the spot as it was 90 degrees outside. The sago popped and the mango puree was nice and smooth. My friends got peach oolong. Would love to try their boba next time.
google avatar

Louise P.

Yelp
I got the mango pomelo sago drink and it really satisfied my mango cravings! I will warn those who are not fans of pomelo - it may come as a surprise to find the bitter flavor in your drink from the bits. The sago really adds to the texture of the drink and is a nice addition. I asked for it to be less sweet, but they don't do adjustments for this drink. It ended up being not too sweet anyway which was a nice plus! The place had a fair amount of seating and it wasn't too busy when I went on a Friday night. There's a cute tree you can add your notes to as well in the store. It's a very casual boba spot and could be a good place to play board games ! There's also plenty of parking!

Yelp
Located in the same plaza of Tokyo Wako, plenty of parking spots. A small boba/tea shop but very cozy environment. This is my first time visiting and pretty excited. I ordered one of their top 6 drinks-- Mango Pomelo Sego. Absolutely amazed by how fresh, how real and how delicious the drink is. The staff who took my order was very sweet and nice, he made some recommendations and being patient.

Yelp
One of the better boba places! Service is good, drinks are refreshing and the inside feels calm and clean. I always come here when I'm in Arcadia. Love their rice oolong milk tea. Today I tried a refreshing lime tea drink. The girl who took the order was super sweet. I had two crazy kids and she was so nice and patient (came on 10/5). Highly recommend!

Yelp
We got the Uji Matcha Slush, Longjing aromatic lime tea (new!), burnt caramel cheese milk tea, and The burnt brûlée boba milk tea - all so yum! Phoenix was so nice to help us out and we got a sample tea packet to try too. Uji Matcha Slush - refreshing, smooth, flavorful crème brûlée milk teas both were good! Sweet but a nice flavor with the burnt sugar Lime drink is light, but fragrant so nice.

Yelp
First time trying out this place as it just recently opened. I enjoyed the boba I got and the milk tea was not too sweet, which I prefer. Service was a little slow but I think they are just getting used to the workflow. You can order on the kiosk which makes it easier to order. Atmosphere inside is nice. There are 4 tables to sit but seemed like most people got their drinks and left. Prices were average for boba though it did seem like the cups themselves seemed a little smaller. To note they do not have a sign yet out front but guessing it will come soon. Overall I liked this place and do want to come back and try their other drinks.

Yelp
~ - * BEST BOBA PLACE IN 626 * - ~ I've tried other locations and I think this one always makes the drinks the best. I get the peach oolong milk tea with no barley sub. boba. IT IS SO GOOD. The boba is always warm, soft, and chewy! The inside is so pretty! I love how they have a wishing tree and you can tie your wish on there. I also take them to use as bookmarks. The service is also super fast.

Yelp
I ordered the mango pomelo drink with boba instead of sago hoping it would taste like the drink from Hui Lau Shan. This was very disappointing to me, the mango was not fresh or sweet at all. I also felt like the size was small compared to the price

Yelp
The boba here is incredibly chewy with brown sugar flavor perfectly. The drinks themselves are also really delicious, with just the right level of sweetness not too much, not too little. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. The space is clean and well kept.

Yelp
I was attracted by the anime-style art here and the make-a-wish tree in the store. That's why I was here in the first place, but then I found out tea was very nice and it's the real, strong tea without any doubt on the quality. I ordered zero sugar and was really impress by the tea scent without any sweetness. This is so rare in tea/boba shop in America. They also have free wifi and nice seating. The servers were very friendly to give me pen and wishing card to hand on the tree. I also got the tea gift set back home to brew it myself and they're great flavor!

Yelp
Alright, after trying a few Tea places in this city, so far this has got to be one of my favorites. Location wise it is next to the old Souplantation. This plaza isn't the most busiest, but it has quite a few gems. There is plenty of parking and I was happy that we didn't have any problems here. There are menus outside and keep note that there wasn't any self select option. I personally like this better, this way I can find out what is some of the best drinks. We were greeted by a lady which I believe, may have been the owner. She was super helpful in helping us order. I got the Burnt Carmel Cheese Milk Tea. I can tell you it was just right with 75 percent sugar, light ice. The boba tasted fresh, and I would come back to have this drink again. We also tried the Peach Oolong that was pleasantly good as well. Inside there was some sort of barley or something that made the drink into a desert. Quite a nice surprise. If you are deciding to get a drink in Arcadia, so far I found this place to be one of the better places to have tea. Hope this can help anyone looking for boba in the area!

Yelp
Came in on a whim after getting noodles. Cute boba spot! I got the Orange Jasmine Tea, a refreshing drink that taste like orange juice with tea!

Yelp
It's rare to go to a place where every drink you try is as good as you thought it would be. I pretty much tried all of their popular drinks except for black rice and taro because I simply could not resist a taro drink and I'm glad I didn't. They were literally all SO GOOD which is unusual because there's always one I think is just meh. Two were for me (one for the day of and one for the next day) but the rest I tried a sip of since they were my family's. The Uji matcha was rich and creamy, the burnt caramel cheese was unique and worth trying, the passionfruit sparkling tea was refreshing, the taro drink was milky and perfect as a dessert for my sweet tooth, and the mango pomelo sago is a #1 seller for a reason. There's plenty of sitting space too which is nice for studying or just chilling and hanging out with friends. We also received slips of paper where we could write our wish and hang it on the tree for it to come true. The workers were very kind and we also went close to closing so the drinks came out pretty fast.

Yelp
Wow! What a refreshing ice tea with actual orange in it. Love it! I would definitely come back for that.

Yelp
BenGong's Tea is located in the same plaza as Tokyo Wako. I have been to BenGong's Tea twice now and both times had good tea. On my most recent visit, I ordered online and picked up in person. I ordered: Black Rice & Taro Milk Tea, $5.25 prior to tax- I ordered this for my husband, to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. Even though there was a sticker on the cup with my modifications, there was still ice in it. I didn't try his drink but he told me he thought it fine at the sweetness level. He also did like his drink. UJi Matcha Boba Milk Tea, $5.75 prior to tax- I ordered this drink to be made with no ice and with 50% sweetness level. My drink came as I had requested (with no ice, unlike my husband's drink). I thought this drink was made just right. The flavor of the matcha was good and the sweetness level was also good. The boba was also made perfectly, chewy and soft. I enjoyed my drink. --------------------------------- (Total= $12.13 after tax) I only waited a few minutes after I came in and was acknowledged by the 2 employees behind the counter. Drinks are really good here but the price is a little expensive for the size. I won't come too often but I will still come in the future.

Yelp
My family and I had a great time here. The service and the drinks were great. We had the mango pomelo sago. The people were attentive.

Yelp
We decided to try a different boba shop since this one had good Yelp reviews and was less than 0.1 miles from our lunch spot. I ordered the fruit bowl oolong tea plus boba... but it was mostly watermelon with just a slice of orange, a slice of lime, and a couple of small canned pineapple pieces. The boba was too soft, though it did have the brown sugar sweetness we enjoy. Overall, I didn't dislike the drink...it was just okay. There are other boba shops we prefer.

Yelp
Service was really slow. There was only one worker handling all the drinks while more and more customers kept coming in. It felt like they cared more about taking in new orders than actually making the drinks people were already waiting for. Not a great experience.

Yelp
In a quiet strip mall with parking. Fast and polite service (Eric), bright interior. I liked my Mango Sago Pomelo at 20% sweetness while wife thought her Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba was just ok.

Yelp
Cute shop you can tell love when into the place. I got the brown sugar boba. It was delicious. It was not to sweet and the tea and boba tasted very fresh. You can tell they take pride in making their drinks. Will be back.
