Last week, I visited the tea shop at Ben Gong in Irvine to escape the rain. They had board games and a wishing tree where you could hang your drawn wishes! Perfect for a date or an afternoon outing. We've got a sneak peek at the winter specials before the menu is updated! Chestnut Mochi Strawberry Mochi Frost Strawberry Mango Bloom Golden Chestnut Mochi Milk Tea Golden Chestnut Boba Milk Tea Roasted Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea Strawberry Mochi (Chestnut flavor, rich and generous portion)

This was such a cute boba spot! Loved the interior and all the pink 😍. The wishing tree was really cool as well. We got 4 drinks and enjoyed them all. Chestnut Boba Milk Tea: loved the bits of chestnut in the drink and the boba was soft and chewy Chestnut Mochi Milk Tea: same as the first drink, but this one had mochi in it. The texture of the mochi was so soft and satisfying! Strawberry Mochi Frost: so yummy, the perfect amount of sweetness and a good choice if you’re looking for something caffeine free Strawberry Matcha Latte: the matcha wasn’t grassy tasting, I loved how creamy it was! Employees were super patient and answered all my questions about their drinks (they have a large menu!) I will definitely visit again soon!

If I can only get one milk tea in Irvine, it’s the Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea at Bengong’s. The caramel and cheese foam combo is surprisingly well balanced and adding mochi makes it even better. I usually get 25% sugar with less ice. Their Passionfruit Super Fruit Cup is also great with fresh strawberries, watermelon, orange, lemon and real passionfruit over a jasmine tea base that tastes very refreshing. I also tried the Golden Chestnut Mochi Milk Tea, which fully satisfied my winter chestnut cravings, and the Strawberry Mochi Frost, a smooth and not too sweet strawberry drink with chewy mochi. Overall, consistently solid drinks and one of my go-to spots in Irvine.

Blending traditional Chinese tea culture with a modern twist, Ben Gong’s is all about premium handcrafted drinks and cozy vibes. We tried the Strawberry Mango Bloom - fresh strawberries and mango layered with creamy coconut milk (so refreshing and tropical!). And the Pistachio Cloud Milk Tea —nutty, smooth, and dreamy in every sip. The shop has such a cute interior, complete with a Sakura tree, where you can write your wishes on a card and hang them—a beautiful tradition symbolizing luck and renewal. Whether you’re studying, working, or catching up with friends, this spot makes the perfect tea break.

Stopped by here while i was in Irvine and loved it! I got the passion fruit cup and the purple rice drink here and it was really refreshing! The fruit cup was filled with fresh fruit that you could eat so it's like a two and one and the purple rice drink was super unique. There were interactive activities such as scratchers and making your own lucky tag to hang on a tree which was really cute.

Great boba spot with aromatic tea and light flavors. Their store is so cute with the wishing tree too! I had: 1. Avocado mango bloom 2. Da Hong Pao cloud milk tea

Google
Bengong Tea in Tustin is such a gem! The shop is beautiful inside with the cutest wish tree. They provide supplies for you and your friend to write and hang your own wish too. We tried a few drinks but our absolute favorites were the Mango Pomelo Sago and the Peach Oolong Tea. The mango pomelo sago was super refreshing and creamy without being too sweet, and the peach oolong had the perfect balance of fruitiness and tea flavor.

Aesthetic boba shop in Irvine. Order mango pomelo, strawberry mango bloom, orange jasmine tea and fruit cup. Friendly service.

Yelp
Was in the plaza for lunch with friends so we decided to check out this tea place after. I know I was craving for milk tea but not sure which one to order so I asked the cashier for recommendation and she replied house so that's the one I ordered. Even though it was only 4 people (customers in group of 2) in the entire store, it took them a long time to make our tea. It's ok since we didn't have to rush anywhere so we just stayed and waited. While waiting for the tea I had a chance to glance at the receipt and just realized I got added 50cents more for ordering the milk tea "hot"... but it was an option for cold or hot, and not once did the cashier mention that it will be added cost for making it hot..? It's not a lot of money but still you would think they should tell you. Upon getting our tea, my first sip was... huh? It was like so much milk with barely any taste of tea flavor in there. I was frankly so disappointed. If this is your best signature tea your worker would recommend I sure hope it lives up to the standard, but it sure was not even passing. No wonder there isn't a lot of people in the store... Not recommended nor will we be back here again.

Yelp
Located at the Market Place in Irvine! I got to try: Burnt brown sugar milk (5/5) - one of the better brown sugar milk drinks I've had. The burn brown sugar on top creates a toasty flavor that goes well with this decadent drink. I also enjoyed their fresh boba. Osmanthus cloud milk (3/5) - got 75% sweet, and it was still on the sweet side. There is a slight floral flavor but it's a little overwhelmed with milk, overpowering the osmanthus tea. There's seating inside with games to play with while you enjoy your drinks. Also convenient kiosk order. Service was pretty slow, but that just shows that their drinks are popular.

Yelp
We had a chance to finally check out BenGong's Tea in Irvine. I had heard about their drinks and the interior decor. At first when I realized where they were located, I was stressing about parking and almost didn't make the drive up the 5 north because I didn't want to deal with traffic and finding a place to park. Luckily for me, I headed over before the heavy traffic hit and found that they were on the back side of where I originally thought they were. That was a win. I quickly found parking right in front of their suite. Walking up to their front door, you can see the tree that everyone has been posting about. I guess it's a wishing tree? I really enjoyed looking at it and reading some of what people had to say. The space is nice, cool and bright. The color scheme is very pretty and well put together. They have several tables with comfy padded chairs to sit in and chill with friends. There was maybe about four people waiting for their order. I was immediately greeted by one of their friendly staff members. I had read a couple reviews that mentioned the lack of customer service, but I didn't experience that during my visit at all. I had a pleasant interaction as I was ordering. At BenGong's, you have the option to order with someone or their electronic menu off to the side which also takes ApplePay. Looking through the menu, they have many different types of drinks here such as milk teas, cheese slush, sago, teas with fresh fruits, lattes, tea lattes and regular teas, with different toppings available as well. I just wish they had grass jelly which seemed to not be something they offer. I've had a couple of their milk teas and loved them. The next time I come back though, I am going to try their pistachio cloud latte, and their strawberry mango bloom. Obviously going to try their other drinks, but those are my next order for sure. I'm gonna have to plan it out so we can grab desserts after a meal or in between the lunch and dinner rush. I can't wait to visit again very soon.

Yelp
Stopped in after grabbing lunch in the area. I've never heard of this boba shop and was interested to try it out. We tried their black sesame boba and pistachio cloud. The black sesame tea was amazing and had a deep rich sesame taste that I enjoyed. The pistachio unfortunately didn't hit so well and was on the bland side even after mixing the cloud foam into the tea.

Yelp
This boba tea shop is very beautifully decorated with a big tree made out of wishes that customers wrote. Their packaging is beautiful and has a Chinese feel to it. There were many different flavor options and I went for the bogo sesame drink special they had that day. Both drinks were delicious and the sesame drinks were very flavorful without being overly sweet. The wait is a bit long, I think it took about 25 min to get our drink and the store was packed. We were lucky to get a table to sit at while we waited. I wish they would have an app so we can order ahead.

Yelp
My sweet fellow Yelp Elite friend Nancy brought over a sesame slush to me from BenGong. It was sooooo delicious. I love black sesame!!!! It was not too sweet. The drink came in the cutest little gift bag with a cup holder. So cute and thoughtful. Can't speak to the store itself but soon will go and update!!!!

Yelp
There was a really nice drink selection! I ordered the Creamy Lychee Latte. It had the perfect sweetness that I was looking for and it was my first time trying a lychee flavored milk tea. They even had little pieces of fresh lychee in the drink! My mom got the Super Mango Bloom which was very refreshing; a good classic mango smoothie/slush. Love the wishing tree here, although I still wish we were able to add our own (we saw markers but no more blank wishing cards). The store was a bit crowded since there is only one kiosk and one menu right next to it, which was difficult to view until you walked up. The one kiosk was also next to the cashier making it confusing where to order so sometimes it was just one long line rather than 2 efficient ones. Wish they used their screens overhead to feature the menu to help people make a decision before reaching the kiosk to save time and help with the traffic flow (the TVs just showed a Loyalty Bonus and the picture of a featured drink). We waited over 20min for our drinks so it was also a little slow (but it was quite crowded and possibly understaffed). The staff was really friendly!

Yelp
Decided to try out another boba chain from China that just opened in Tustin Plaza. There was a ton of parking in this plaza and located right across the Market Place. The interior was similar to a lot of other boba chains from China. We ordered the Orange Jasmine tea and the Da Hong Pao milk tea. The cups have a really pretty designs. However, in terms of taste, it's not my favorite tea shop that's I've tried. The drinks lacked the tea flavor I was looking for. If you don't like strong tea flavor and want something natural, this spot would be good. But nothing too special compared to other shops.

Yelp
Store is nicely decorated. The service was slow due to inadequate staffing. Tea flavor was just ok and nothing spectacular in this super competitive market with tea shops every few miles. Boba quality was disappointing as it wasn't chewy enough. Overall I still enjoyed and finished my drink but I feel like there are better options available at that price point.
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
Loved the golden sesame milk slushie. It was nutty and perfect amount of sweetness with savory bits. The husband ordered a green tea with pistachio foam and that was not that strong in tea flavor. Drink cups are pretty and service and ambiance was nice.
google avatar

Nicole T.

Yelp
They have a very robust menu that is honestly a bit overwhelming to navigate. I tried the brown sugar milk tea at 25% sweet and it was good. Its a very tea forward flavor and the boba is soft The experience inside though was different and could use some work. The store didn't feel super clean, there was trash left on a few tables, and the chairs were stained. The worker wasn't very friendly either. She barely engaged and mumbled when I asked questions. When i thought a specific drink was mine and was looking at the name without touching it, she pulled it away without saying a word. Also the entrance is oddly blocked by this big hanging tree display that feels like it's just in the way and that you have to duck around it. Would still go back for the drinks, but probably as a grab-and-go spot rather than somewhere to sit and hang out

Yelp
Mango mochi milk tea bogo yay they have deals advertised on ig or sometimes door dash. The portion felt adequate to the size. It had good mango flavor very light coconut. The mango pieces that I ate seemed more fibrous (like near the seed) which indicated it was fresh at least. The drinks were fast to order and came out fast. The whip cream was decadent. I feel like my friend got more mochi than I did as I only tasted/felt a sip of the mochi and no more in the rest of the drink. The drink lasted long and wasnt too icy. Next time id opt for a little less sweet as it was quite sweet. Nice ambiance with seating inside, but not really a study spot. Overall this place is good for mochi and creamy fruit drinks.

Yelp
What a gorgeous tea shop filled with a delightful fruity tea smell that already allures me to happiness. It's simply beautiful and love the wishing tree to bring good fortune to customers. I love how all types of customers besides Asians have embraced BenGong. It was really nice to see Indian/South Asian enjoy their tea, a white guy ordering like 6 drinks to share with his managers and just families enjoying their drinks. I ordered the Mango Boom and Watermelon Cream Slush. I love how BenGong Tea has the boom series as it replaces our fruity blended drinks normally blended with milk with coconut milk! It gives me tropical island vibes. Watermelon Cream Slush is simply one of my go to drinks as I love creamy fruity drinks.

Yelp
Updating this review that they have added more drinks and they all sound great. I had just tried their new Lychee Milk Tea and it was really good. It was on a sweeter side and they do recommend 75% sweetness. The drink was creamy and loved the lychee bits as well. They also have a kiosk available to order in store as well. Recommendation(s): - Peach Oolong Milk Tea - Lychee Milk Tea Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Restroom available (must ask for key) - Can order via kiosk

Yelp
Found this spot after going to shop around the plaza. They have a kiosk you can order from as it seemed like there wasn't anyone on the register. Ordered the Lapsang souchong milk tea. It comes with honey boba. I got 50% sweet which was the perfect amount. The boba was the perfect chewy consistency. Also got to try the Mango pomelo sago which was a burst of flavor. It was pretty good!

Yelp
Been to the Arcadia location before and was sad this one doesn't have a beautiful giant mural, but it's got a sleak look to it. Worker was great in answering all our questions! Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea (5/5 stars) - mix it well, really tastes like sake without the alcohol which is wild, there was also surprise jellies Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Cloud Foam (5/5) - really love the flavors together! not sure what the cloud foam is but it was so airy

Yelp
Stopped by Ben Gong's Tea in Irvine to check out some of their drinks and left feeling a bit mixed. The space is a typical modern marble-slab style renovated tea shop, but it's starting to feel a bit worn down. Even small details, like the HVAC return grille covered in black dust, made the place feel less maintained than it should be. On the bright side, the bookmark tag you can write on and hang from their man-made tree is a cool and unique touch to the atmosphere. Service was typical as well - no interaction required since we can order on the kiosk but they were quick to make the drinks as there was no queue to any drinks ahead of us. What we tried: * Brown Sugar Boba Milk - Flavor-wise, this one hit the right notes, but unfortunately the bobas weren't fresh. They had that slightly harder texture that takes away from the drink's overall appeal. * Passion Fruit Sparkling Tea - Refreshing and visually appealing, but nothing in the flavor really stood out to give it a "wow" factor. * Golden Oolong Tea with Tea Cubes - The tea itself was nice and smooth, but the tea cubes (which are really more like jellies) were sweeter than expected, throwing off the balance of the drink. Overall, Ben Gong's offers a decent menu with some interesting concepts, but for us, the freshness and flavor balance could use more attention--and the space could use some upkeep--before it becomes a go-to spot.

Yelp
I'm writing to express my strong disappointment regarding the 1+1 promotion for your new drink advertised from October 30 to November 2. I specifically visited your store on November 1st after receiving the promotional text message, only to be told that the latte was sold out and that the offer could not be honored. When I asked the manager, Jenny, if any alternative drink could be offered instead, she flatly said no. If a promotion is still running, customers should not be turned away simply because of poor stock management. Advertising a limited time offer that cannot actually be redeemed is misleading and reflects poorly on your brand. I went out of my way to visit your store because of this promotion, only to be told "there's nothing we can do." The lack of flexibility and accountability from both the staff and the manager was disappointing and unprofessional. I hope your management team takes this matter seriously and ensures that future promotions are handled with transparency and proper customer service training.

Yelp
First time trying this place I got the pistachio drink and it was okay - i couldnt taste much of the pistachio cream while drinking it but it was a nice texture with pistachio nuts. I got it either 75% or 50% sugar and I think Id get 100% to make it on a sweeter side. I definitely would try something else here!

Yelp
Beautifully designed tea shop with a cute tree of notes inside. Their drinks are authentic, refreshing and not too sweet. I love their branding too! The baristas were kind given a good amount of people inside. The only thing was that it was oddly freezing inside the shop

Yelp
Introduced my friend to this location since their peach milk tea is one of my FAVORITE milk teas in America, and she loved it! The peach milk tea remind me of the drinks I'd get in China with perfectly balanced fresh tea taste paired with the sweet peach flavor. The tea isn't bitter at all and the peach doesn't have an artificial flavor. It also comes with barley and agar boba which I loved! The 100% sweetness is perfect for those who prefer 70% sweetness at other boba shops. The mango pomelo sago was just alright, nothing about it stood out. Definitely returning for the peach milk tea soon!!

Yelp
Avocado Mango Bloom - This drink blends avocado and mango with a subtle avocado flavor and a smooth, smoothie-like texture. Tiramisu Special Milk Tea - A unique drink with an eye-catching design on top. Be sure to mix it well before drinking! It has a strong cacao flavor, so consider asking for extra sweetness if you prefer sweeter drink (like me!). Passionfruit Super Fruit Cup - Love the cup this drink comes in! Just like the name suggests, it's both a drink and packed with fruit. Easily one of my favorites of all the drinks. Strawberry Mango Bloom - There are frozen fruit chunks at the bottom, so each sip comes with chewy, bite-sized pieces of fruit--which I really enjoyed! The mango flavor stands out more than the strawberry. Uji Matcha Cheese Slush - This was my favorite drink of them all! I'm a sucker for a good sweet matcha slush. Just be sure to mix the cheese topping into the drink for the full experience. Ambiance - Beautiful ambiance--perfect for a date or a relaxed hangout with friends. The space is gorgeously decorated with a touch of femininity, making it a very aesthetic and inviting boba shop.

Yelp
OVERALL : Such a pretty store! The first thing you see even from outside is their pink cherry blossom wishing tree, which perfectly accents the cute tables and clean interior. I liked that they served your usual milk and fruit teas but also some more inventive items in case you want to try something different. Loved everything I tried + I saw that they have wifi so this would be a good place to come get a bit of work done while sipping on a fun drink. Boba was chewy and I liked that you could adjust your sweetness / ice levels bc I've been gravitating towards less or even half sweet nowadays. The girls at the register were super patient and helpful when I didn't know what to get since it was my first time at the store and unfamiliar w their menu. PARKING : Big parking lot with ample space even if you have a big car :) Same plaza as Handel's, Wingstop, and Class 302 for all my Irvine locals FOOD/DRINKS : - Mango Sago - refreshing, creamy, not too sweet - Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea - loved the brûlée on top and the milk tea had a unique flavor bc of the caramel and cheese! - Matcha Strawberry Milk - real strawberry bits, would def say this is not too matcha heavy bc of the fruit mixed in. I want to try a normal matcha drink next time to taste more of the matcha! - Passion Fruit Sparkling Tea w/ Brown Sugar Boba - very unique to have a sparkling tea at a boba shop, but this was fun! I like the option of having something other than normal fruit and milk tea.

Yelp
Decided to try out BenGong's tea tonight since they have a BOGO deal on their frost drinks. I'm a huge fan of 3cat's mochi drinks so I was curious to try the difference. All 3 flavors were a miss for me and my family members also didn't care for it. The mochi lacked flavor (sweetness) and texture. It just tasted like flour. The frost portion of the drink had no real favor as well. I felt like it just diluted the drink as it quickly melted.

Yelp
I came here around 9:20pm on a Thursday night with just one other person inside waiting for their drinks. We ordered on the kiosk and waited roughly 20 mins for our drinks. Mango Sago - it's thick, it's sweet, slightly bitter due to the pomelo bits. The sago was there, but it wasn't very good, and the mango bits (gelatin?) didn't add anything to the flavor. I was hoping this was similar to the mango boom at HEYTEA, but it wasn't close. Burnt caramel milk cheese tea - I didn't really know what to expect , but it was slightly floral, almost like jasmine. The burnt caramel cheese was really nice, it had a nice texture on the crystallized bits but the tea itself didn't really taste like anything except sweet. It has a really pretty interior , very instagramable with their decor and drinks, but the drinks felt short flavor-wise and I'd pass on coming here with so many other options nearby.

Yelp
This place is run by amateurs. I had to wait over 30 minutes after ordering my two drinks. The drinks themselves aren't anything special. Not bad, but nothing remarkable. Also the chairs here are filthy.

Yelp
I'm the type to not hold back when it comes to spilling the TEA on hyped up boba spots, and as a Taiwanese person with VERY picky taste in boba, I genuinely think @bengongstea.irvine might be one of the BEST boba shop openings lately! This Chinese chain specializes in authentically brewed Chinese teas, and you can really taste the difference in the strength and fragrance of their milk teas. I also enjoyed their fruit drinks, which are crafted from real fruit and are a refreshing alternative to their more creamy milk tea drinks. There was a bit of a wait for our drinks (probably because of how large the order was), but it was definitely not super busy on a weekend afternoon, and I would highly recommend checking them out before it becomes hyped up. If you're in the area, HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend checking them out for a menu that does both milk and fruit teas well! Featured here: mango pomelo sago Golden sesame milk slush Passionfruit sparkling tea Osmanthus rice milk tea Peach yakult tea Taro purple rice tea Strawberry cheese slush

Yelp
Came by when shopping at Target. We ordered the special BoBa milk tea at 75% sweet and Black Rice and taro milk tea at 50% sweet and 50% ice. Their BoBa was a little soft for my liking. The flavors were just okay. The Black Rice and taro drink had too much ice for 50% ice. The decor was intriguing! We liked the Chinese style art. Their service was mediocre.

The flavor of the matcha was overpowering due to the watered down nature of the drink. I'm sure the drink would have been better if it was served to us on time. We waited almost 30 minutes for our order, worker claimed that they called us but on there digital board the order was in process the entire time (32 minutes). We finally came up and asked about it when our order number disappeared from in progress and also from complete. When asked they claimed they called but that was not the case as I was paying attention the entire time watching everyone who ordered after us get there order. I would only dine here again if I was in the area and if there was no visible line. I'm sure my drink would have been better if it was cold.

Yelp
We had high hopes; the place looked cute, the menu looked extensive, and there was some coupon to try things out. We tried the oolong super fruit cup, the golden sesame milk slush, a peach oolong milk tea with cream top, and osmanthus rice milk tea. Let's just say... the names carried a lot more than the drinks were able to deliver. I mean, the drinks weren't inherently bad, but they were nothing special. I couldn't really taste the tea flavor in the oolong or the osmanthus, which are my usual favorite, and they were on the sweet side. But hey, the wait time was reasonable and it wasn't too crowded (for a reason?). We haven't felt the urge to return yet, but hopefully there'll be another opportunity to try in the future?

Yelp
Good boba place! The toppings were delicious and great texture. It's a bit pricey but the place is cute

Yelp
1- The add on the screen (see the attached photo) said that you get your first drink for free when you download the app. But they charged me anyways and said the add is wrong! 2- When I ordered my drink the lady asked how much ice I prefer my drink to have. I asked: "is this drink blended, like a smoothie, or it's iced, with ice cubes?" She answered that is not iced. Then I responded that whatever amount is needed to keep it like a smoothie is fine and that I don't want to change the texture. When I received my drink, it was iced, not blended! 3- Their drink was not superior or better than other brands. This is simply a "me too" company with very poor customer service.

Yelp
Returned to Ben Gong's for a second try and everything was much better and we were happy with the drinks and service. Boba was chewy, fresh, and good consistency. Drinks had good flavor and unique options. Glad to see that the management receives feedback well and really works to deliver a quality product. We will be back again soon.

Yelp
If I can only get one milk tea in Irvine, it's the Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea at Bengong's.

Yelp
Beautiful modern interior design for a tea shop. They have some interesting drinks available, I got the Grape Cheese Slush. I would say it was pretty tasty. Can customize drinks if you want. However service is slower here than other tea shops.

Yelp
This shop initially caught my eye with their gorgeous cups and interior. The location in Arcadia was also recommended to me, so I was looking forward to visiting here since it's the same franchise without having to make the long drive. However, the drinks here unfortunately fell flat for me that day. Originally, my group got the Peach Oolong Milk Tea (no adjustments), Tea Cube Milk Tea - Jasmine Tea (25% sweetness, no ice), Pistachio Cloud Milk Tea (100% sweetness, no ice), and Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea (75% sweetness, less ice). We got some of our drinks replaced because we didn't like it, which is very nice of them (obviously don't be greedy and drink everything before asking them). Also, when we ordered through the self-order kiosk, most of their menu items did not have descriptions, so it felt like we were ordering somewhat blindly as there was only the names and pictures to go off of. However, even with the pictures, some of the drinks had the cups that were opaque and made it difficult to discern. - Peach Oolong Milk Tea: I got this at 100% sweetness. At the first sip, I had to pause because it did not taste like any peach oolong milk tea I've had anywhere else and not in a good way unfortunately. There was a slight tang that I couldn't explain. I can only assume that it might have been the peach because there were very little bits of something that I couldn't identify. After a couple more sips, I discovered that there was a topping inside too (automatically included in the drink apparently), but I don't know what it was based on what I'm seeing on the list of toppings they have. It was a chewy ball that pops and leaves you with a small flavorless piece inside that crunches like a softer crunchy veggie (I imagine it to be water chestnut popping boba as it's a popular boba topping overseas, but their menu only lists popping boba, which is entirely different that I've seen here in the States). Looking a little more into it, I translated their 'Popping Boba 马蹄爆珠', and according to the Google search, first link says it's 'water chestnut popping ball'. The sweetness was actually fine, not too sweet, but I did not enjoy this drink overall. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day, but if this is what it's supposed to taste like, I wouldn't recommend this. - Tea Cube Milk Tea - Jasmine Tea: My friend got this at 25% sweetness with no ice. The texture of the tea cubes was a nice jelly-like firmness, but it lacks a strong tea flavor despite being called tea cubes. This wouldn't have been an issue if the drink was flavorful. The tea in the drink, I could not taste because it tasted like milk diluted with water. I tried very hard to taste the tea, but unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy this drink to its full potential. My friend who usually gets this at their Arcadia location also agrees that this drink was flavorless and not what it's supposed to taste like from her previous experiences at the same franchise elsewhere. - Pistachio Cloud Milk Tea: My other friend got this at 100% sweetness with no ice. Again, I had the same issue with this drink where the flavor was lost on me. I couldn't taste the tea or pistachio. All I tasted was watered down milk. Would not recommend. - Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea: Another friend got this at 75% sweetness with less ice. It sadly tasted like the other two friends' drinks: bland and watered down milk. It wasn't any different from the other two despite the three having completely different flavor profiles: Tea Cube Milk Tea with jasmine tea, Pistachio Cloud Milk Tea, and Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea. I also would not recommend this drink. - Passionfruit Super Fruit Cup (not pictured): This was my replacement drink for the Peach Oolong Milk Tea I originally ordered. At 100% sweetness, it was perfect for me. I also tried my friend's at 50% sweetness, and that was good too. Fresh, light, and refreshing on a hot, sunny day! This drink helped me reconsider giving this shop another chance next time, giving the impression that they do have some great drinks on their extensive menu. However, it's unfortunate that I only came to this conclusion because of their drink dissatisfaction policy. Overall, I don't think I'd revisit this location as there are so many other shops local to the area to go to for consistently better drinks. Originally, I would have given only 1 star but decided to give an extra star for the nice service because they honored their drink dissatisfaction policy and for the replacement drink that convinced me to perhaps give them another chance in the future. So, based on this visit, I can only say that their drinks are a hit-or-miss, so for a good drink here, choose your drink carefully and don't be afraid to ask the workers if you're curious of a drink before making your order.

Yelp
This place is a disaster in terms of service. Long wait times and only 2 girls serving running around with their heads cut off. Feel bad for them.

Yelp
I stopped in for a little Friday treat with my family and was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time here and wasn't sure what to expect. The exterior looks cute and once we entered it felt like we were having tea in a museum cafe. It's a cute curated cafe feel and look. I had the sparkling peach and strawberry tea, daughter had passion fruit super food tea, spouse had the strawberry cheese tea. All of the teas tasted high quality, refreshing, and delicious. I loved it but may not be rushing back because of the price, it was $27 for 3 teas! I mean worth it based on taste but pricey. Overall would recommend.

Yelp
These drinks are gonna attract you all summer long like it's magnetic because they're the perfect sweet treat to cool you down especially in this hot weather @bengongstea.irvine came out with their new line of drinks including their uji matcha series, burnt-brown sugar drinks, osmanthus rice mochi frost, and phoenix oolong aromatic lemon tea! The osmanthus rice mochi frost & mango pomelo sago were my favorite out of all of them because I love the different textures of the popping pearls that literally looked like pearls in the snow & the mini chewy sago with the refreshing mango smooth icy slush! The cheese foam on all the other drinks was top tier! I love the mix of a lil salty and sweet! Don't forget to make a wish for 2025 & leave it on the wishing tree! : 1. Osmanthus Rice Mochi Frost 2. Strawberry Cheese Foam Matcha Latte 3. Burnt-Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea 4. ‍‍Phoenix Oolong Aromatic Lemon Tea 5. Yelp
Steep Thoughts: Florence's Quest for (Her) Perfect Black Milk Tea Black milk tea: 0.5/2. I got the Black Boba Milk Tea, less ice, 50% sweet. I ordered via the kiosk and could not select an option to remove boba from the drink, and from what I can see there is no way to order a black milk tea without toppings. The milk tea itself is pleasant and mild, but the brown sugar syrup kinda drowns out any tea flavor even at 50% sweet. The boba is small, firm, and very chewy. Other drinks: 0.5/1. Good variety of milk teas, fruit teas, and slushie-type drinks. This shop's drinks are definitely more like desserts in terms of how dense they are. I really wish there were more drink options that didn't include some type of topping by default. Ambiance: 1/1. Cute decor with some small tables and chairs for seating. Service: 1/1. Order using the monitor near the counter, online, or at the counter directly. Service and menus available in both English and Chinese. Drinks come out quickly. Total: 3/5

Yelp
Stopped by before heading back home, and we're so glad we did. Ordered the uji matcha boba milk tea and was pleasantly surprised with the matcha taste and quality. Most matcha drinks at other boba shops aren't as good so I'm happy I decided to give this drink a try. The boba is perfectly warm and chewy. I did get the sweetness level at 75% - which was perfect, because the brown sugar boba made the drink sweeter. It is $1 more for a large, which I thought was kinda high, but the average boba drink is $7 anyways. The store is really cute inside - with a pink wishing tree. Service was quick and friendly as well. I'd definitely be back when I'm in the area again.
