It was our first time coming. Chef Nathan was attentive, hilarious and entertaining aside frim the good being delicious. Our server, Kristy was on it taking care of our needs promptly. We had a very impressive visit. Thank you all!

Google
An overall great hibachi experience. You are definitely paying more for the experience and the show, the food itself is good but not worth the price without the accompanying show. The hibachi chefs are very skillful and funny, they know how to put on a show. The food is healthy and tasty, and decent portions. Service is good and the interior is big and clean.

Ray was our chef. He was really funny, entertaining, and very nice. It was extremely kind and generous of him to be so conscious about my food allergies. He knew exactly how to make my food. It was my girlfriend’s birthday, and he made her extra fried rice because there was only half a bowl left. This is our second time having him and we always thought his jokes were funny. I hope he wins chef of the year!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Benihana! From the moment we walked in, Manager Travis made us feel so welcome — his friendly and professional attitude really set the tone for the night. Our chef, Nathan, was incredible! Not only was the food delicious, but his energy, humor, and skill made it a truly memorable dining experience. He kept everyone at the table engaged and smiling the whole time. And a big shout-out to our server, Venny, who took such great care of us. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we always had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a team that works so well together to create such a fun and enjoyable evening. We’ll definitely be back soon — highly recommend this location!

Google
apps were good, lobster roll is worth it and calamari was awesome-love the crispiness and spice of it and the sauce! staff were forgetful but i think that might be because it was close to closing time?

Google
Eric our chef was amazing. It has been so long since I’ve been to Benihana and I forgot how the food tasted. Eric was professional and funny. Very memorable. But I noticed that he was meticulous with his cooking and seasoning and it showed. The food was seasoned so well and done to order. Kristy our server was so attentive and friendly. Ready to refill drinks with a smile!

Google
Zach was our cook and Alberto our server. I want to say this was the best Benihana experience I’ve had in years, and I come often. The food was amazing and the service was awesome. I didn’t have to ask for refills the pace was perfect. The chef was funny, charismatic, and cook everything perfectly. I’m requesting them every time now. Thank you Beni !!!

Google
Servando was fantastic! The food was incredible, he was funny and personable! Definitely loved having him as our chef & made our dinner more enjoyable! Kristy was so amazing as our server! She made sure we had everything we needed, checked in often, we never had to look for her and she took such great care of us. We dined with a baby & she kept checking to make sure the baby was ok and that they were moving at a quick enough pace to keep baby happy. She was so sweet!! We love it here & obviously have no leftovers. Celebrated my husband & father in laws birthdays here and they definitely helped in our memorable experience

Yelp
Love this spot. Great location. Waits are variable. Very long at times, especially on the weekends. Recommend reservations. The Rocky's choice with 2 chicken fried rices is my go to. Great soup and salad. If you haven't been here before, this location specifically has been my favorite of the chain. I've been to several across the US, such as in Hollywood, City of industry, in Minnesota, and more. Staff is great! Never had any problems here. I have had problems at different locations. Clean restrooms. Very cozy and dim lit. Great show and great food!

Yelp
Dear Benihana Management Team, I am writing to formally complain about an extremely poor dining experience my partner and I had at your Santa Anita Park area location. We chose your restaurant specifically because my partner was excited to finally try Benihana, having heard excellent reviews from family. This excitement quickly turned into severe disappointment and fatigue. Details of the Visit: * Date of Visit: 11/22/25 * Arrival Time: Approximately 9:55 PM * Seated Time: Approximately 10:02 PM * Party Size: Two The issues began immediately upon arrival and continued throughout the meal: 1. Rude Hostess & Initial Impression: The hostess who greeted us was extremely rude upon our arrival. We chose to overlook this initial interaction due to our anticipation for the meal. 2. Disgusting Cleanliness Standards: While walking to the restroom after being seated, I observed that the general condition of the restaurant was a mess, and the restroom itself was disgusting. This is unacceptable for any establishment, particularly one serving food. 3. Excessive Wait Time for Service: We were left waiting for the assigned chef to begin preparing our food for approximately one full hour after being seated and placing our order. The delay was so long that children at tables nearby were falling asleep from exhaustion and hunger. 4. Rushed, Subpar Experience: By the time our chef finally arrived, he was visibly exhausted and appeared to rush through the cooking process, likely due to the late hour and backlog of tables. While he attempted a show, the performance was clearly strained and rushed. By the time the food was served, my partner and I were both over-hungry to the point of being unable to fully enjoy or finish our meals. 5. Closing Time Rush: Once the meal was completed, the waitress made us feel extremely rushed, pushing to box up our plates before we were genuinely finished. We felt pressured to vacate the table as the restaurant was operating well past its closing time. The entirety of this experience ruined our planned night out. The delays and frustration resulted in us being extremely exhausted for our drive home, which was over an hour and a half long. I believe that for the severe combination of unacceptable cleanliness, the one-hour delay in cooking the food, the rude initial service, and the resultant ruined evening, the price paid for this meal is wholly unwarranted.

Yelp
We had a reservation for 10 at 6pm on 11/16 and were seated within 15-20 mins, totally understandable given how busy it was. After we finished our soup and salad, we ended up waiting 45 mins with no chef at our table. It was our son's 2nd birthday, and he was getting restless from the long wait, so I asked to speak with the manager to check on the status. When the manager came over, the chef had just arrived, so I calmly explained that we had been waiting 45 mins after finishing our soup & salad. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, she immediately went on the defensive. She told me, with an attitude, that "45 mins is normal" and that it was "busy as I can see", as if that explained everything. She didn't listen, didn't show understanding, and didn't offer any reassurance. It felt like she was more interested in proving me wrong than addressing my concern. What bothered me was the lack of basic customer service. A simple, "I'm sorry for the wait, we're short staffed and doing our best tonight" would have completely changed the situation. Instead, her tone came off dismissive and almost made it seem like I was being unreasonable for asking. For a manager, it felt unprofessional and unnecessary. To make it worse, another family near us waited so long for their chef that they ended up walking out, so clearly the delays were bigger than she was willing to admit. Our chef, once he arrived, was great, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the manager's defensive attitude and lack of empathy. We've been here many times and never had issues like this. The food and chef were good, but the customer service, from the manager specifically, was disappointing and definitely needs improvement.

Yelp
food: 7/10 (quality of the food was mid & a lil too salty in my opinion. I ordered the A5 Japan Tokyo Broil Wagyu, which was already marbled with flavor. Could've asked for lightly seasoned. service: 7/10 (I highly recommend booking reservations because the line/wait is kinda long. I also booked a reservation at 5pm but didn't get seated until after 20 minutes. Ambiance: 8.5/10 because the chef put on a show. It was entertaining.

Yelp
Always a great time here. The service is impeccable. The food was made fresh and the black cook named Xavi was outstanding. He did tricks I have never seen before. He made sure our food was perfect to order. Nice atmosphere with family vibes.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday celebration. I was able to use the $30 off reward applied towards a purchase that was sent to me. You sign up for membership and they will email you the coupon about one month in advance. I got the Japanese A5 waygu this time. The meat melted in my mouth. I loved it! I also love their chicken fried rice. I do this every year for my birthday. It's always fun as you get a show and a meal. Sometimes the wait can be very long . Last night wasn't bad and Brandon, our server and Servado our chef took good care of us!

Yelp
Came here on Thanksgiving Day and I had an amazing experience! My first time ever at Benihana and I loved every second of it. The food was so good, my boyfriend and I both got the Emperors Feast. The chef was nice and cracked jokes with our family and kids which made their experience great as well.

Yelp
I was told that you didn't come here for the food, which was correct. The fried rice had a ton of onions, but it was still tasty. No one asked if I wanted onions in my rice, and I don't think white onion is a standard rice ingredient. The proteins were not seasoned enough, so you needed the sauces. My steak was fatty, and they won't give you a real knife to cut it. I had to use takeout utensils. The server was really busy and kept apologizing. They obviously need more staff. She was nice and very friendly, accommodating us as much as possible. The show and restaurant were nice. It was pretty much as advertised. I didn't realize I would be seated with a full table of a strange family. I was having lunch with a friend and wanted to cover more adult topics, but kids were in attendance. I wouldn't come back here. I've now lived what I've seen only on TV before. One and done

Yelp
First of all from the time we were seated, it took about an hour to get us a chef assigned to our table. As a matter of fact, we waited so long that the manager came over to apologize for the delay. But they didn't offer any discount or comp any drinks or desert or appetizers for making us starve to death. The grill was dirty and looked like it had a cooked roach on it but I didn't take a picture of it. I should have. Even the couple sitting next to me said it looked like a roach. I made sure to ask that the grill be cleaned before the chef started cooking. My Sake it to me Colada was on point and delicious. But my Sushi roll was not. I had to send it back. It was lukewarm and mushy. The food was pretty good despite being late but the real reason for the bad review is that I joined the FWB and I told the waitress before she brought the bill. She neglected to add my membership so I missed out on the points. She wanted to cancel my bill and rerun the card but we didn't want to take the chance of tying up our funds for days with two pending authorizations so we declined. But this was an error in their part and they should've known how their system works so I was NOT PLEASED to say the least.

Yelp
What We Ordered: -Benihana Trio $54.50 -Hibachi Chicken Rice $14.00 -DineLA 3 @ $55.00 -Kids Chicken and Steak $27.00 -Benihana Delight 2 @ $44.50 Total $474.84 with Tax and Gratuity My sister and her family were visiting from Denmark, and we wanted to take them to a restaurant they don't have there. We chose Benihana because the experience is fun, especially for kids watching the chefs perform. Our chef, Ray, was a true gentleman with a great vibe and playful banter, making the dinner very memorable for our family. I ordered the Benihana Trio, and it was excellent, providing plenty of food for a big guy like me. I also tried the DineLA specials, which offered a good deal with choices for appetizers, entrees, and ice cream for dessert. While the potstickers were good, I prefer the Trio's meat selection at a similar price. We all enjoyed ice cream to celebrate a birthday, and they made little sundaes for the kids, a nice touch. They automatically added 18% gratuity, as we were a party of eight. We had a reservation through OpenTable and were seated promptly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This review is written by my daughters 7 and 9. We have been going to this Benihanas many times . Ray, our cook, he is nice, he is funny, and he makes really good food. He gives us free ice cream. We really liked the fried rice, the salmon and the chicken. He does funny shows with the food. Cool tricks.

Yelp
Excellent service. Entertaining dinner. Spacious eating area. Memorable meal. We have party of 7 so can take over one table and do not need to share table with another party. I think up to 8 ppl can sit together comfortably. Be there for the entertainment not the food. The teppanyaki chefs there would crack jokes, do knife works and other tricks while preparing meals in front of you. Expect long wait with reservation. Note that entire party needs to be there before they can seat you. This restaurant also provides complimentary california rolls when waits are long and lobby packed while you wait for table. As for the food, it is part of the show. Don't forget to ask for a cup of hot green tea at the end of the meal - it is part of the 5 course meal. More varieties on entrees if you opt for a six course meal (adding ice cream or sherbet). This restaurant is in the arcadia mall close to AMC theater.

Yelp
Great Japanese cuisine and the salad dressing is sooooo good. The chef cooks in front of you so it is a show and fun for a party like dinner. I like going for birthdays or other celebrations. Kids love it too. I love the steak and the skilled chefs!!

Yelp
Stopped by on Saturday, 03/29/25 during dinner time. Waited for about 10-15 minutes until we were seated. Ordered the following: - 1 dragon bloom margarita = $18 - 1 crispy calamari = $15.50 - 2 hibachi chicken fried rice = $14 - 1 Sapporo beer (22 oz) = $16 - 1 Splash 'N Meadow = $47.50 SUBTOTAL = $111 TAX = $11.38 TOTAL = $122.38 TIP = $25 (cash, from bf) We had to wait for a few minutes for the chef to arrive due to the peak hours. The Splash 'N Meadow is good for 2 people; this comes with hibachi steak and colossal shrimp; this is a 6-course meal which comes with onion soup, salad, veggies, mushrooms, and ice creams towards the end (we got green tea and chocolate). Overall a great experience! The chef was very humorous and we had a blast. We also took a photo and a copy was printed out for us. :)

Yelp
We went here recently for a birthday celebration! It was a 20 minute wait on a Wednesday night. But right when we got seated it took awhile for the server and cook to come. But honestly that didn't really matter since the cook brought out a whole show and the food was cooked on the spot and was fresh. It was well seasoned and cooked. The interior was nice and clean, but maybe a little bit outdated. They did have their team sing happy birthday to us and the party in our shared table as well! Great place to do birthdays as they sing and make you feel welcomed!

Yelp
Skip the nigiri here. Decided to stop by Benihana for a light bite while waiting to meet up at the mall. Ordered got the snapper nigiri (2 pieces) at the bar for $8.5. The pricing is on the higher end but many izakaya or sushi restaurants do charge this range so I accepted it as market price and gave it a try. Plus that's what I felt like eating atm. The fish was slightly smelly but acceptable and tasted okay. The soy sauce was served in a plastic cup and wasabi not provided until asked, no sushi ginger needless to say but this isn't a sushi restaurant so I'll put My pet peeves aside. However, the rice was stale. How do you mess up rice? It might have been left out for a long time? Anyways, the higher price tag made it all the more disappointing and didn't order anything further. (I still finished the item cuz personal policy to not waste food. Didn't grow up privileged.) Benihara is a Teppanyaki Japanese restaurant, so sushi is not it's focus. But it's a well known brand and markets as an culinary experience, so it would best serve (no pun intended) to maintain quality and freshneshs for all items on the menu. If it's difficult to maintain quality for certain items, it may better to limit the item to certain hours (ie. Lunch only or dinner only) or take it out of the menu.

Yelp
We had a party of 20, put a deposit down and mad a reservation and they couldn't accommodate us. Reservations mean nothing nor does a Large deposit to reserve a Table. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

Yelp
Saturday Sept.6, 2025 My Family & I had a wonderful experience at Benihana's Newport Beach unlike the past experiences. It appears they are now under new & better management, seating was within 5-10 mins. of our reservation time, food was yummy excellent with a wonderful Chef that had a very nice singing voice. The ambiance was warm & welcoming. I love the new customer service improvements made at my Newport Beach Benihana !!!!

Yelp
I must start off with saying I love teppanyaki restaurants. Been to many and continue to try new ones. Benihana has a reputation for being the standard of these teppanyaki places but this night fell short in some ways. First off out chef Leos, was absolutely ahhh-maazing. The show he put on was hilarious and entertaining. He got everyone laughing and got the kids at the table involved, which they loved. The food came out delicious and cooked well. Where our night was lacking was mostly with the server and host. Drinks came out not as ordered. There was confusion on a bar drink that led to it being cancelled. Non alcohol drinks on the menu were also "not available at this location". Refills were pretty much nonexistent during dinner. Salads came out after the hot foods were already being finished up from the chef. Then plates, soup bowls were piled up on the table making it difficult to eat the main course. Just lacked attention to the normal services of the table and guests. We ordered regular fried rice but was charged the chicken fried rice upgrade. Then when dessert came out there was no candle, no singing like the other tables had for birthdays. I reminded her of the birthday guest and she grabbed a nearby host and the 2 of them sang a lackluster happy birthday. After that NO tea was served as listed on the menu final course of our meal. Finally they take a group photo and ask how many prints we would like. We ask for 3, one for each couple in our party, and the host came back with just one. I waited thinking that the printer was still printing the others. After seeing her tending to other tables and about 5 minutes later I tracked her down at the front desk and asked if the other 2 were coming. She looked surprised and asked for my table number again. "Ohhh ok I'll get them". Sheesh! Also not to get too dramatic but every other table were given bags for they leftovers while we just got the boxes. This would have been one star for service easily but thankfully for the awesome chef Leo he salvaged the night into a fairly nice night. Which is also a dilemma when tipping. I basically tipped generously for the chef and all he did but I wish the server knew just how disappointing the service was.

Yelp
It's Father's Day 2025 and celebrating with my son-in-law, who makes the second father in our family. I was so happy he picked this location, as it was fub with good food and great company! The show is nice, especially for my two young grandsons, who just watched in amazement at the skills our chef possessed. Although the chef himself has no kids, he's a seasoned veteran, and knows what kids like. Because our party was large (14 people) we had two tables of diners and two chefs back to back. I realize this is not your typical Japanese restaurant, but have to admit the food was delicious and the service fast. We were there for almost three hours which seemed to just pass so fast...

Yelp
Visitation Rights: Probably been to this location a handful of times. The last time was last month for my birthday. Rewards Program: Join their rewards program and get a $30 Birthday Certificate to use. The stipulations are: 1) Valid for in-restaurant dining at DINNER only, MONDAY‑THURSDAY. 2) Only one certificate can be applied to guest check per visit. (Valid in the Continental U.S. and Alaska only) 2) Not valid on New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas. 3) Requires purchase of $30 in food and nonalcoholic beverage. The certificate will then be applied to an additional $30 purchase in food and nonalcoholic beverage. 4) Certificate cannot be applied to alcohol, tax, gratuity, merchandise, delivery, promotional or discounted items (includes Happy Hour). 5) Certificates must be printed and can only be redeemed for dinner Monday - Thursday. NOTE: I was able to go and show them my email confirmation with the code Wait Time: Can be a bit long depending if they can get enough people to join a table. I would also recommend to make a reservation. Restrooms: There are restrooms to use Credit Cards: They're accepted. Location/Parking: Located at the Shops At Santa Anita near Cheesecake Factory. Believe it or not, but this place use to be Bar Louie over 10 years ago! Parking can be found in the shared lot. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Entertainment: Are you NOT entertained? Of course you are. Who doesn't love fork and spatula basic juggling skills mixed in with some humor and visual effects. The teppanyaki chefs mainly perform in the main dining area. Service: Usually service was pretty good in the years past. Last month's experience was a bit off. 1) There was a long wait (after placing our orders in) before the Teppanyaki chef came out with all his ingredients to show off his fork and knife juggling skills while cooking us our meal. 2) Our Teppanyaki chef messed up couple of times and wasn't really engaging compared to the other tables that we happen to eavesdrop in their conversations with their patrons. With all the smoke, his cool light saber visual effect was pretty neat though. 3) We never received our picture that they took in the beginning of our dinner service. 4) The staffer that took our order didn't ask for the promo code when they knew we were celebrating my birthday. So we had to ask them to take off the $30 which took a while to get back to us. Food Of Choice: I would either rotate between the 5 course meal of either teppanyaki chicken or the steak with less salt and oil. The meal would consist of: 1) Miso soup (it was kinda salty) 2) Salad with sesame dressing (liked the salad) 3) Rice (white or brown) or upgrade to the fried rice. Upgraded to the fried rice and requested for less salt and oil. 4) Ice Cream: Decided on the matcha green tea. Benihana For Thought: Even though the experience was a bit off, I would still come back.

Yelp
My family and I came to Benihanas to celebrate our son's school accomplishment. Our experience at the restaurant was great thanks to Ray, our chef. From the moment he fired up the grill, Ray brought incredible energy, skill, and personality to the table. His knife work was impressive, his timing was perfect, and he made the entire cooking process entertaining and interactive. Not only was the show fantastic, but the food was also absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, the fried rice was flavorful, and the vegetables had just the right amount of crunch. Ray clearly knows his way around the grill and takes pride in what he does. Plus he's great with kids! If you're visiting this location, I highly recommend asking for Ray. He turns a meal into an experience you'll remember!

Yelp
We came here for lunch, it's always the same experience, you pay for the performance, food is overpriced and bland. I have been to different locations and this will be the last time we're going Benihana, we were served a burnt Calamari, Charred is way different from burnt, Im not the type that complains at the restaurant because people might think were after "free stuff", but if you are the waiter and you see that the Calamari is burnt you wouldnt serve it, you can ask the kitchen to make another one, I find it disrespectful for serving a burnt food to your customer. This will be the last time were going to Benihana and will not even recommend it.

Yelp
Last night was the first time I've been back to eat here in at least 5 years. To be honest when my family and I are craving hibachi we usually go to Shogun which isn't too far away...but the wait was long at Shogun and we didn't want to have our toddler out too late so we decided to have her try Benihana for the first time. We were sat almost immediately upon arrival which was nice but I don't think the chef was ready for our table to be sat . It took about 45 minutes to an hour for the chef to come to our table which was longer than usual in my other experiences. The chef was unprepared, shouting across the room to other chefs and servers for damp towel , white rice , etc. When passing out the sauces to the table for some reason he wasn't going to give any to the children at the table. Besides our toddler the other party had 2 children with them and we all had to ask for them to get their own sauces. Just because they are kids doesn't mean they don't want the same experience as the adults. Anyways, the hibachi shrimp appetizer was literally the last thing to go on our plate after everything else was cooked and prepared and the shrimp was clearly overcooked based off the appearance of it being tightly curled in a circle not to mention it was chewy. The fried rice was a little chewy as well. Overall it just wasn't that great of an experience. It was long drawn out and the food had so many hiccups. The chef gave one of the other kid's food at the table to my daughter who didn't order that so the other kid had to wait longer to get their dinner when everyone else was eating. It was just a mess in my opinion. We paid our bill and stayed to speak to the manager , she apologized and gave us a gift certificate which was nice of her but I don't think I would ever return to this location.

Yelp
Terribly slow service... got a text saying our table was ready, but still had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. Got seated, waiter came 20 minutes later take our order. Order taken, waited 40 minutes for teppanyaki chef to come to our table. Meal over, waited 20 minutes for waiter to come with the check. The chef was great and funny, but the long service made the overall experience unenjoyable.

Yelp
I've been to a few locations over the years and I think this one is my favorite! We went in on a Friday for my cousin's birthday and had the best time. It was also my baby's first time at a hibachi so I was worried how she was going to handle it, but she ended beyond ecstatic! Service: I was concerned taking in my baby & a huge stroller but the staff were so accommodating on settling us in. If you frequent Benihanas, you know it's always busy & situating takes time & there's a wait getting your food. But our server Ariana was so sweet & apologetic for any delay. We didn't notice any said delays because the energy was on point! Shout out to Ariana our gal! & thank you to manager Monica for coming by and making our experience more personable! Food: we had the best chef ever! Izzy (on the beat) was hilarious & so entertaining. This location also has the best food in my opinion. Everything was perfectly cooked & in a prompt manner. He had the most vibrant energy & really elevated our dining experience! Thank you! Parking: it's at the Santa Anita mall next tot he food court entrance so there's ample parking. But it gets busy so there's a valet option as well. But valet closes at 9pm but they usually re-park your car in a closer spot to the entrance so I think it's worth it! Restrooms: clean & baby friendly Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Came here for lunch to celebrate our Auntie's birthday. We had a party of 11 and could not fit at one table but my cousin called to make reservations and they assured her we would be treated as one party. She spoke to 3 people including a manager. She asked if the lunch menus was available on a Sunday and she was told YES. Did the actually have a lunch menus when we arrived? NO! She was treating so that was a very unpleasant surprise. The restaurant phone system is a failure. It's an automated voice system that "Transfers" you to a live representative but instead just hangs up on you. I called 4 times to try and ask where the place is located near in the mall since I have a broken toe and wanted park near. When I arrived and told the receptionist, she did not seem concerned and was aware of the issue. The server, Gabriela really ruined the experience for us. As I before mentioned they could not fit us in one table but we were very close. Every time we tried to make sure the 3 other people in our party were taken care of we told by Gabriella they she does not know. Not her problem even though we assured we would treated as one party. It was so bad they ended up paying separately and my cousin was very upset because she invited guest with the expectations she would cover. We asked her multiple times to please help clear dishes so we could take birthday pictures. We were really polite and she was huffy and said she would later. When asked again, she told us just to push them aside. She did not bring enough plates for the dessert. No knife to cut the cake, not enough forks. Yes, we had to constantly get up and ask since waitress did not come back and check one us. We will not be back.

Yelp
Excellent service although it took awhile for us to get our food. But the food quality is amazing. My favorite this here besides the show is the chicken fried rice. Have been here's many times and will continue to come

Yelp
It's been a few years since I've been to a teppanyaki restaurant. We came here as a group to celebrate our friend's birthday. The Chef was great fun. I wish we were a little more awake, but he had a good attitude. Love good Millennial humor hah! Food was good. Maybe a little salty at times but over all great! We all had fish dishes. Some got the salmon and others got the tuna steak. The salmon was cooked so well. I personally found the tuna to be lacking in flavor, but I'm also biased. Tuna isn't really to my taste, but the others enjoyed it! We also got A LOT of food! Lots of fried rise and sides. I also got a chance to have a little dish of each of their sauces they had on hand! Getting a chance at tasting different flavor combos is a treat! It was a little loud in general. When you are in a huge room and there are 7 other chefs wining and dining their groups, it's a lot. There is also just a ton of smoke and steam even with all the vents on. Just don't come here expecting a quiet experience, this is not the place. This is great for special occasions! I don't see myself going here too often, it's a shoo in for those looking to impress their family to a fun evening!

Yelp
Hostess with the black make up needs to work on her customer service. Did not greet. Always frowning and on her phone. Gar us a high chair that was dirty and the buckle was broken. Stood up and walked out. Never been to benihana and never coming back.

Yelp
I am having dinner here now, there's a divider with mental post felt on my back earlier and mental post hit my back shoulder. Restaurant employees witnessed it happen, then a supervisor came and took it away from my back but did not say any words nor stepped up and asked me whether I am ok or not. I feel a little hurt on my back now.

Yelp
Food: good. Ordered wings but it was not great I'd skip this. We ordered the Hibachi steak paired with a cold water lobster tail and this one was a pleasant dish. Miso soup was tasty. We liked the fried rice too. Service: okay, expect to wait to be seated and a lil bit more wait to order and receive your food. Ambiance: lively lots of celebrations

Yelp
I've been to a couple of other Benihana locations, and this one is probably the best one. It's still new, because I remember it use to be a different restaurant, and this Benihana seems to be the cleanest as well. We celebrated our mom's birthday here, and the food was delicious! The waitress was very attentive, along with our personal cook, who imo tried hard to crack funny jokes while he was cooking. He was a bit all over the place from his jokes, but very humorous. He put on a good show with some of his tricks. The food he prepared and cooked for us was tasty. But just too much butter on everything. But I understand taste is everything, and most importantly not burning the food. We ordered steak, jumbo shrimps, scallops, and chicken. The steak was cooked perfectly from medium rare, to medium. The scallops was delicious, as it was flavored with seasoning, and the shrimps were perfectly sliced, seasoned and cooked. However, the chicken breast was a bit too dry... which is fine because it can't be undercooked. We had Piña Coladas, Piña Margaritas, Old Fashion Whiskey too. They were only $8 each, since they're still celebrating Saint Patrick's Day. The Whiskey and the rum for our drinks was not too overwhelming, but a bit on the lighter side. But $8 for a cocktail is a deal! Service again was very good. The waitress was very attentive, and she and a another waiter sang a birthday song for my mom, and I thought it was hilarious. Thank you, my mom enjoyed the humor. Overall, I had wonderful experience. Only parking was a bit difficult. There was a lot of people at the mall during that time. Not necessarily a 5 stars experience, but I'll give 5 stars because my mom was happy, and our cook tried hard.

Yelp
The combination of showmanship, and excessively buttery garlic chicken fried rice is costly, but none the less , worthwhile. Sure, the food is not the best, price is somewhat high, and the show is meh... but combine the three and you get a dinner that encourages an engaged audience, that makes them put down their ever so important cellular devices. We had a good time here. I won't be back for a while because of the greasiness..... but will definitely be back. It's a wonderful place for kids.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I ordered Seafood Diablo and our children ordered the steak and chicken. Everything was so tasty. Service, on the other hand, was a little disappointing. I noted on my reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and that we had a nut allergy. When we got seated, the server asked if we were there for a special occasion. Then, when we placed our orders, the server asked if we had any food allergies. Terrible service. I made those notes on the reservation, and so I expected them to know. What is the point of having those options when you won't even acknowledge them. The teppanyaki chef came and repeated our orders to make sure they had it right. He then asked if we were celebrating anything and if there were any food allergies. (Slap palm-of-hand on forehead.) I accidentally ordered a bottle of water. When we got the bill, I found out it was $6.50! Yikes!

Yelp
The food was great, but what made our experience so much better was our chef Fausto! Wait times were a little long but our waitress and Fausto completely made up for the wait times. I had such a great time and the ambiance was impeccable. Please give Fausto a raise! That man made our experience so enjoyable. We were laughing non stop.

Yelp
I've come here twice and most recently it was for my birthday. If you sign up for their rewards you got 30 dollars off a meal with purchase of another 30 dollars. It just be during a weekday M thru Th. We picked an earlier time and the staff was really friendly. Seemed like mostly all the parties dining had small children. I honestly went so my toddler could enjoy the show. It was happy hour too but that's only if you sit at the bar. Vegetarian review: I ordered a yakisoba with tofu and a tofu steak. To be honest, it seems like they are equivalent except the yakisoba has noodles too. The tofu steak is cut up in pieces and has zucchini, mushrooms, onion just like the yakisoba. I guess the steak also got some cilantro. If you get fried rice it is an extra 6 dollars a person! We got fried rice without chicken and the soup has beef broth. Vegetarians can opt for 2 salads instead. The waitress also offered that the cook can cook the vegetarian stuff first/separately as well to avoid cross contamination with meat. In regards to the show, most of the tricks had to do with the egg for fried rice so if you skip that the tricks are limited...I guess you get the onion volcano. It was super fun for my toddler!

Yelp
We were planning to be at Ding Tai Fung, but due to the wait, we had to choose other another option. Considering we had a young child part of the group we knew it would be hard to keep her entertained while we ate. So what better than dinner-tainment? We knew it was going to be a long shot as it was a Saturday evening that we were dining. But, we gave it a shot... Service: To be fair, the thought of getting a table for 6 on a Saturday evening seemed to be near impossible. After checking in, we were told that it would be about an hour or so to wait. We put our name down, but we were not optimistic. After our full party arrived, I checked in again and thankfully we were sat shortly there after. What was an hour wait turned out to be 30 minutes. Our chef, was honestly, one of the best I have ever encountered. A combination of his knife skills and banter made not only the time fly by with laughter and slight bit of self reflection (never wear a white shirt to a tepan party). Food A Tepan menu is really strait forward, a quick gander at the ingredients, everything seemed to be very average. I ordered steak w/extra steak and the marbling didn't strike me as much. I have seen similar at your local meat market. Overall: My score honestly, was because of the service we were given. Benihana is not one of my go-to places when it comes to tepan, but the staff here made it just a wonderful evening and that is what tipped my hand. Thanks to everyone who worked that evening!

Yelp
This place is not worth the hype. The food quality and quantity is not worth the price. Service was only acceptable.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years, but it seems the food quality has declined. The mushrooms were surprisingly small, when I noticed the soups were cold I knew something was not right. the chicken was very rubbery the mushrooms are so tiny don't ever get the rice. Get it on the side because people like to put extra salt making an inconvenience. And For a bill over $100?, we felt like we been scammed!. The food is quality declining while the prices are going up. it was a letdown. The Chef didn't put enough chicken and onions When you're spending over $100, you expect a certain level of quality, and unfortunately, it wasn't there this time. We won't come back

Yelp
I have not been in here over a decade so when my brother in law is visiting my wife and I decided to take him here. Expect to spend about 2 hours of full fun and food. The chef cooks you food in front of you and it was amazing. Well worth the $$$ but not cheap. Spent $350 for three people including drinks, food, dessert and tip.

Yelp
Our chief Jeremy was amazing! All the food was seasoned well. The show was new as well, nothing I've seen before.

Yelp
Fantastic Chef, Poor Judgment Up Front Date of visit: October 26 I had a reservation for 4:30 PM and arrived about 15 minutes early. After checking in, I waited patiently in the lobby. About 10 minutes later, an older Caucasian couple walked in and told the young Hispanic woman working at the front counter that they did not have a reservation, but would like to have dinner. She told them to wait, and within about five minutes she was seating them immediately -- ahead of multiple guests, including myself, who did have confirmed reservations and had been waiting longer. There were several other couples with the same party size still sitting and waiting for tables, yet this walk-in couple was taken straight in. When I politely asked why they were seated before guests who had reservations, she gave a confusing and dismissive answer, saying they were a "better fit for the group they were joining." That made no sense. If someone walks in with no reservation, they should not be joining any "group" ahead of people who've been checked in and waiting. It's disappointing to still see this kind of preferential treatment taking place. The service and food were excellent once I was finally seated, but that doesn't excuse what happened at the front. It's hard to ignore the optics -- watching an elderly white couple walk in without a reservation and get seated instantly, while others who booked ahead were left waiting. This restaurant needs to train its front-of-house staff to handle seating fairly and consistently. Guests with reservations should be respected for planning ahead, not made to feel like they're being pushed aside for those who simply walk in.

Yelp
The restaurant is located at the Arcadia mall across from Cheesecake Factory. We didn't make a reservation and was told 20minute wait but got seated fairly quickly. If you go as a small party you get seated with another party. Not a big deal. The other family was nice. My husband ordered the filet mignon and I got the ocean treasure which means we both got to taste steak and seafood haha. The meal is first served with soup then salad. The chef put on quite a funny show. We got fried rice and then he proceeded to make each person's entree. I also tried a passionfruit lemonade but sadly the waitress forgot about me after the rest of the table got their drinks for awhile. We reminded her and she was nice about it...and refilled my drink without me asking. The food was surprisingly tasty...maybe 10 years ago I had tried one of these types of restaurants and food was a bit dry so it was a pleasant surprise. Prices are a bit high but it's dinner and a show haha. A nice spot for a celebration.

Yelp
Benihana is always a treat! Such a unique experience, the food is always good, the staff are all so lovely (including our chef), and the place is very clean.

Yelp
My look gf wanted to experience teppan food and Benihana was the closest spot to us. I made a reservation for 6:30 but didn't end up being seated until 7:00. We were also put with a group with obnoxiously loud children with parents who can't control their kids. I ordered a chicken and hibachi steak combo with fried rice. We got some soup and salads to start off before the chef came. The entire live cooking was about 30 minutes long and we were eating as the food was being served one by one to us. The onion soup was a bit saltier than I liked but still decent tasting. The salad was a typical salad with asian dressing, nothing special or standoutish. The fried rice had a nice oily garlic taste which I really liked. The bits of chicken and egg gave a nice additional taste and texture. The hibachi steak and chicken were both cooked nicely, with the chef being able to cook my steak to a medium. Taste wise, both the steak and chicken were flavorful. Overall, the food was better than I expected. I'm giving this place a 2 star instead of 4 because of the service. When I make a reservation for 6:30, I expect to be seated by then or at least within 10 minutes. I also ended up waiting 45 minutes after ordering because they apparently did not have any chefs available at the time either. Combined with sitting at a table consisting of undisciplined kids with useless parents, the experience was no where close to as good as it could have been. Lastly my order was around $45, which I think is a bit too expensive for how much food I got plus the steak's quality.

Yelp
I took my mom out here for an early birthday dinner since she had that GC. I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience here. We had reservations for 7:30, were not sat until almost 8PM. Once we were sat, we ordered crispy tuna rice to start and the server completely forgot it. The food was okay. Honestly, my partner and I have better meals at home. In addition to that, one of the guests that were dining at the same table as us found a hair in their meal. Couldn't have been from the chef cause they had short hair, so it must've been from someone in the back. Our server seemed busy that she didn't have time to attend to our table much, but to be honest, the other servers seemed like they were in a much better mood than ours, so maybe we just didn't have a good server that evening. They also completely forgot to ring our bill at the end, making us wait another 30 minutes. By the time our whole dinner experience ended, it was almost 10PM. For a weeknight, that's late, especially for us taking my elderly mom out. The list goes on for me on why my specific experience was a miss. I don't know if I care to check this place out again.
