Mother’s Day Dinner Positives: The chef was polite, friendly, and engaged with the family during cooking. One of the staff members (not the server) was kind and attentive despite being visibly tired. The food had a good aroma and the chef’s cooking performance was entertaining to some extent. Negatives: We had a reservation at 9:00 PM, arrived at 8:50 PM, but were not seated until 10:30 PM. Our server was very rude, unprofessional, and spoke poor English, which made communication difficult. The server lacked basic courtesy and hospitality expected in such restaurants. After ordering, it took over 20 minutes just to receive soup and salad. Cooking and food serving took more than an hour after being seated. The air ventilation system was ineffective, causing food smells to stick to our clothes. Food portions were small compared to the high price (we paid $208 for four meals). Overall experience felt like a waste of time and money. Final Thoughts: I strongly advise the management to: Reevaluate staff professionalism and training. Review and adjust menu pricing. Repair or upgrade air filtration systems. Improve floor management to reduce wait times. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience and we will not return. 🌟☆☆☆☆ – For the long wait time ☆☆☆☆☆ – For the Hispanic hostess who took our order (very unprofessional) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – For the front desk manager at the reservation screen 🌟🌟🌟☆☆ – For the chef 🌟🌟🌟☆☆ – For the food 🌟🌟☆☆☆ – For the portion sizes 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – For the respectful waitress who served our table 🌟☆☆☆☆ – For the overall pricing 🌟🌟🌟☆☆ – For the cleanliness of the chef and table

I made a reservation for 6:30pm and wasn't seated until 7:15pm and then the chef didn't arrive until 8pm to start making our food. The whole place was absolutely deafening, you literally could not hear the person next to you. The food was mediocre, I ordered the hibachi steak and it was supposed to be 10oz and it couldn't have been. It was thin and just rather sad. The appetizer shrimp tempura was soggy and on the cold side. I had never experienced benihana before and now that I have I won't ever need to go again.

Went with a friend for a birthday celebration. It's not just a meal. It was an entire experience. The chef put on an amazing show while preparing delicious food. Portions were ample. The pricing may be daunting, but you have to treat yourself every once in a while. In my opinion, it was worth every penny.

We had a party of 7 people, celebrating our sons birthday. During the early stage of our dinner the power went out at our grill. We were hungry, but waited patiently as the manager and employees were trying to figure out what happened. After awhile we were moved to another table so that we could continue with our meal. By that time we were all very hungry. We had two small children with us that were hungry and tired as it was getting late. We ended up taking a large part of our meal home due to the delay. The staff were amazing, the presentation was entertaining, and the food was delicious. But our dinner began with a hot grill and ended with a fire truck. Our name and phone number were taken down by staff and we were told that we would receive compensation for the inconvenience. We spent over $300 on the food and drinks. I have left messages for the restaurant and also contacted corporate Benihanas. We have not heard back and is now been over 2 months.

Had my birthday dinner with my family here for the first time and we loved the whole experience. The food was amazing and freshly made in front of us. Would really recommend for any celebration, with family or friends. Shane was out. He was friendly, skilled and engaging with the kids. And super skilled with his knives and tools, made lots of tricks. Loved it!

had a wonderful time! our cook, nick pifer, was super fun and put on a great show and our server, karim, somehow managed to refill my drinks without me even noticing! such a great experience and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Chef KOL is really great! Best steak I've had at a hibachi restaurant! Definitely request him when you visit

Yelp
Despite my misgivings with the last experience (see previous 2 star review), we were lured back by the $30 Birthday coupon and that fact that it has become a family tradition! So, came back we did, and you did a much better job this time! Firstly, on a Tuesday night, there was no wait with our reservation! Usually you have to wait at least 15-30 minutes with the reservation. Secondly, the chef was great this time, no inappropriate jokes and he did a great time with trying to entertain our 3 teenagers and 2 adults. The shrimp was a bit overcooked but besides that, it was a perfectly seasoned and flavorful meal. It was a lot of food, and we even had leftovers. Thank you to the great chef for making our meal very good and memorable. We got the Bday photo and the icecream and I will always love the loud birthday songs which embarrass the teenagers appropriately. Thirdly, the only miss was the $15 calamari appetizer. The pieces were small and for some reason someone put fresh habaneros on top our ours. Guess what fresh habaneros do to hot oily food?? It infuses each piece with painfully hot peppers. It was inedible, but thankfully my hot head husband was able to choke them down. If it was just me I would have returned them as it was really too spicy. Nowhere on the menu does it state that they are habanero infused. Overall, this experience redeemed Benihana for me.

Yelp
Terrible Service - Disorganized, Rude, and Disrespectful of Customers' Time This restaurant was a complete letdown from the moment we arrived. First of all, they gave away our table without even notifying us -- no explanation, no apology. When we asked what was going on, the first server we spoke to told us -- in a very rude and dismissive tone -- that we would be seated and served within 40 minutes. That didn't happen. Instead, they sat us at the bar "to be nice" while we waited. We ended up sitting there for over an hour and a half with no communication whatsoever. Finally, we were seated at a hibachi table and told again that we would be served "relatively soon." At first, we thought things were looking up because we got our soup and salad right away -- but after that, we were completely forgotten again. We waited another hour at the table with no hibachi chef in sight, and no staff member checked in with us at all. This experience was beyond frustrating. The service was disorganized, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. If you're looking for a restaurant that values your time or treats customers with basic courtesy, go somewhere else. This place clearly doesn't care.

Yelp
UPDATE: The manager called me and made the situation right and is also giving feedback to the chef. Hopefully this was as one off incident! Last nights experience was not worth $150 plus dollars! I've gone to Benihana's for mine and my daughter's birthdays every year until this year and we're no longer going. First we were seated awkwardly at the corner of a super crowded table. I got up and asked to move to another table that had 5 extra seats. The chef arrives and the guy is obviously new so no fault to him but it affected the whole experience. He was good at first but then was a mess making the chicken fried rice because he shaped it into a heart and then did a heart attack and food flew everywhere. There was one small chicken breast, so now that you've made it where we have to pay $7 extra for that, I'd expect more chicken. It wasn't seasoned well and wished I had more soy sauce. He then did a trick where he was flipping the bowl with fried rice to hand to my daughter and it all dumped out right in front of her. Ok, we forgave that. Then he cooks the shrimp, then he starts on the chicken breast. He cooked the chicken where he cooked the shrimp and I stopped him because I don't eat shrimp and hate the taste, so I asked him to cook my chicken on another place on the grill. He did. But then he ended up putting chicken on my plate that was cooked where the shrimp was and gave someone else the chicken breast that he moved away from the spot. He overcooked the zucchini, which is our favorite but we couldn't eat it because it was mushy. He cooked onions and no mushrooms, which we love the mushrooms too and saw other tables had that. The chef experience was just horrible. On top of everything, the sake colada I ordered was not drinkable. The ice was chunky and diluted all other flavors in it. I had to send it back. The waitress was amazing so no complaints about her. But yesterday evening was the last evening we're going to Benihana's. I tipped well and felt bad to even bring any of this up to not embarrass the chef but I am really not happy. Sad because we loved that place.

Yelp
First time ever to Benihana! My brother and his boys come here every year for his birthday, and this year a few more family members were invited. 91 degrees outside, and to enter a very dark cave like atmosphere took me into an altered zone. Love the seating around grill, and I was surprised when the SHOW began. Our animated chef, clad in white chef-wear, began twirling knives and metal spatulas. The smell of ginger, soy sauce, garlic & onions and the sound of clashing metal filled the air. Truth be told, I'm a vegetarian & was skeptical that there wouldn't be enough options for me on the menu. I ate every bit & drop of ginger dressed salad and light savory soup. The reheated tofu steak tasted even better the next day. I'm a new big fan!

Yelp
I hate making this post. I loved Paul's since I was a kid. My daughter loved it there. So for lunch I decided to check it out since it was reopened. I was not impressed. My go to order is the club house with tots. So it is a roasted turkey club with a salad. Thats fine not paying $2.50 extra for fries. The salad was not a salad. The ranch was super salty. The turkey was so dry and like it has been cooked a while ago and warmed up. It was half a tomato with the core in it. I understand changes happen but this was not good. I won't even go into the price of it. I am sad I couldn't finish it. I wish they would had kept some of the classic dishes. What made Paul's special I felt that it was food you could rely on and it felt nice. I did find it strange nothing seems to really be updated inside only the food. I will say the man they helped us was super nice and had great customer service.

Yelp
I had one great experience here followed by a really bad one and I really wanted to give it another chance but they failed miserably. We went the day after Christmas but I don't think that's a good excuse for what happened. Imagine making a reservation for 5:30 for your birthday dinner, you get your kids ready to go, you get dressed up and ready to go, then drive an hour clear across town to eat. We checked in at 5:20 and the hostess said they were running a little bit behind and it would be about 25 minutes before we could be seated. No biggie, we can wait a few minutes despite having a reservation. We come back in at 5:50 and a different hostess says that they are still running behind and now it's going to be an additional 45 minutes to an hour wait....despite having a reservation. I ask to speak to the manager. While I'm waiting for them to come up a couple other people express their frustration on the wait and they also drove pretty far and had reservations. When the manager came up after about 10 minutes he was very apologetic and said he was going to walk the dining room to get a better estimate on the wait. When he came back it was still 45 minutes to an hour longer than we had already been waiting. He offered to do something for us if we chose to wait but we were hungry and the night was already ruined. He said he was fairly new and didn't understand how they were so over booked and to be honest I don't either. There is a reservation system, you would think that if the tables are full for the allotted time the system wouldn't let additional reservations. We ended up at the Margarita Factory down the street and were able to salvage some of the evening.

Julia J.

Yelp
Reservation was at 8PM. Didn't get sat at a table until 9:30. Waited in the bar and was so hungry we had to order an appetizer. Once we finally got sat, I ordered a virgin pina colada. They brought it with alcohol in it, we sat there for 30 minutes once we were at our table waiting in the chef. Then, the chef gave my steak to another person at our table. This was such an awful experience I will never, ever be back here.

Christina D.

Yelp
Had reservations for 615. The entire waiting area was completely full. We had to stand among 20 plus people and entertain a 2 year old for over an hour before we got seated. They kept telling us soon. Otherwise we would have just left. I have never waited an hour for a reservation. Multiple other people were complaining about the same thing. Once we were seated the server was great and food was decent. It was just hard to have an 8 pm dinner for a 6:15 reservation.

Tamera J.

Yelp
I would give a negative star if I could. They do not honor their reservation. Made one for two at 7:30. Received a text at 7:15 saying the table was ready. Checked in at 7:18. They said 10 more minutes. An hour later, still no table. Called the call center they kept lying stating they called the restaurant and it would be 5 mins. I finally got a hold of the restaurant and they said nobody called them. These kids were 17 and I am sure profiled because of their age. An hour later they couldn't tell me when their table was ready. The manager Mickey showed a complete lack of empathy even after I let him know one of the guests was a diabetic and an hour past when they should have eaten. Shameful. The utter lack of care is disgusting. I was hung up on, put on hold, and lied to. You need to do better!

Yelp
One of the worst experiences we've ever had at Benihana--and we've been loyal customers for years. From start to finish, the service was unbelievably disappointing. We waited over an hour just to receive our appetizers, and then another 45 minutes before the main course even started arriving. That's nearly two hours of waiting while hungry. Knowing how hectic it can get, we politely asked our waitress for bowls of garlic butter upfront so we wouldn't have to interrupt the chef later. She flat-out refused and insisted the chef would provide it. From past visits, we know some chefs get irritated with requests during cooking, which is why we tried to be proactive. When Chef Rob arrived, we told him how hungry we were after waiting so long. He acted indifferent and cooked at a painfully slow pace. Instead of serving the fried rice right away like most chefs do, he cooked it, set it aside to get cold, and then started on the meats and veggies. By the time the fried rice finally reached our plates, it was dry and unappetizing. We asked him for the garlic butter, and he gave a small amount. When my niece politely asked for more, he gave her a nasty look and made a rude comment, saying he had to "drop everything" just to get it. Completely uncalled for. No guest should be treated like an inconvenience. To make matters worse, our waitress disappeared and never came back to refill drinks. I had to get help from a waitress at another table just to find her. After years of coming here and recommending this place to friends and family, I'm sad to say we won't be returning anytime soon. This was a complete failure in customer service and hospitality. Extremely disappointed.

Yelp
Service was absolutely amazing and prompt with drink refills. Chef was entertaining even though his onion tower refused to light My husband order Steak & I ordered Lobster. The 1 alcoholic beverage brought our bill to $154.00 which seemed extremely pricey for the portion size of meat.

Yelp
5 stars because they are open on Christmas Day. My family always gets Teppanyaki on Christmas. We went to Tokio Table for many years, but they are no longer open Christmas Day. We were happy that Benihana could accommodate us. Our chef, Andy, was fantastic and our server, Nick was also really nice. It was a busy night and they did a great job. That being said, this place was a zoo. Extremely crowded and disorganized. They didn't seem prepared for the Christmas rush.

Corrine H.

Yelp
I am sitting at Benihana's in Beaverton right now was sat at our table at 6 PM as our reservation was at 6 PM and it is now 720 and we still have not seen a chef. We're starving. Very disappointed.

Yelp
WOW,So incredibly B A D all the way around! My order arrived SOAKED in my Miso Soup! Hibachi Steak "Toddler Bites" overcooked, cold, bland, gray, and tough. When you pay a pretty penny, you deserve a good meal. Gosh, they used to be SO GOOD. So let down. Completely inedible. Once again, WOW and NOT in a good way

Chelsea V.

Yelp
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! We had a reservation at 5:45. Arrived 5:30. Told us we'd have to wait 15 to be seated. Cool. At 6pm, told us it would be another 5-10 mins. Ok. At 6:30, told us "we're next". Ugh. Ok. At this point we had been here an hour to seat TWO of us. At 6:45. "Oh sorry, we moved your reservation to 7:15" EXCUSE ME?! We've been here an hour for a reservation that should have seated us 45 mins ago?! And you want us to wait ANOTHER 30 MINUTES? We should have gone to hot pot or Korean BBQ instead. We just wanted a hit of nostalgia, but that was a mistake. Not making that mistake again. Don't make our same mistake. Go to Korean BBQ, you know you want to.
google avatar

Reno K.

Yelp
1.45hr to 2 hr wait times. Avoid this place not worth the frustration. Staff went from 30min behind we waited over 1.3 hours. Restaurant needs to set time limits on tables. Or better understand wait times and turn arounds. Seek alternative venues.
google avatar

Trish M.

Yelp
The food was good, but they got several things in the order wrong. They made efforts to make it right (requested veggie fried rice, got no rice and then was brought chicken fried rice), but still didn't get it right. The chefs are great, and the experience is fun, but for the cost I would rather have better food over an entertaining meal prep.

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Picked up steak & shrimp to take home for a low key 4th of July. The steak & shrimp were okay but nothing to write home about, & the portions were very small, much more so than in the past. The biggest disappointment was the Mai Tai for 2 I ordered. For $35 there was barely ANY Mai Tai. A total rip off for $35. Will not be back.

Yelp
Big problem with Benihana: they GROSSLY overbook reservations. I arrived at 5:25 for my 5:30 reservation. When I make reservations I expect to be seated at or no later than 10-15 minutes after my reserved time. We got seated at 6:20...nearly an HOUR after our reserved time. That much of a delay isn't an accident. I strongly suspect Benihana uses software that purposefully overbooks to ensure maximum profit at the expense of customer's time. This is a massively disrespectful practice within the industry that cooks, servers, and hostesses dislike because it results in understandably angry customers. Sure enough, although I disliked doing so I only tipped 10% instead of 20% because until it literally starts costing employees enough to speak up about and/or quit, this will keep happening. The tipped staff lost about $25 from me last night because of the disrespect of my time that management showed. In addition, I now have no intention of ever going back and will also encourage others to avoid Benihana if they value their time. Aside from that, while the food was good (as it always is), honestly...the value just isn't there. $200+ for two people with a couple drinks each isn't a good deal. There are PLENTY of other places in town, including some high-end steak houses, where you can get as good or better food for less money. Sometimes a lot less money. Final quibble: everyone's drinks at our table sat empty for too long. Not only did I notice this, I heard the guy sitting two seats down from me state to his wife, "Is the server ever coming back for drink refills??" I would have enjoyed dinner more if I wasn't so PO'd the entire time because I had to wait nearly an hour for a seat. I simply can't and won't recommend.

Yelp
After going to hibachi for most special occasions or celebrations for YEARS- this is the first time we could truly say, "we will not be coming here again". We arrived at about 45mins before close & were told there'd be about a 15min wait so we enjoyed some sake at the bar top. We were seated at the expected wait time but waited for almost another 40mins after sitting at the hibachi table to even receive our 1st course of SOUP! The waiter was very kind but pretty much said "Sorry you had a bad time. Unfortunately this is pretty normal around here & it's not my fault". We had an overly salty, almost $150 meal for 2 with no hibachi "entertainment" other than an onion volcano. Where has the traditional fun time gone where you'd laugh with your date and get a shrimp thrown in your mouth or a little sake squirt? We'll take our celebrations elsewhere.

Irene S.

Yelp
I wish zero stars was an option as we had a 7:09 reservation for my daughter's birthday and arrived to be told we would have to wait at least a half an hour! We were told they took too many walk in guests and the tables weren't turning as quickly as expected?! We did wait almost 30 minutes outside as the inside lobby was packed with standing room only and were told they had no idea how much longer it would be! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to booking as this appears to be a long term chronic issue with this restaurant. We decided to leave and went to Margarita Factory nearby and had a wonderful time! We won't be giving Benihana a second chance.....

Justin B.

Yelp
We made a reservation for Father's Day three weeks prior. They sent us two emails asking us to confirm we will be there on time. We showed up at our reservation time and they were 1.5 hours behind on reservations. We were told the restaurant is full and there is simply no capacity to meet the reservations that were made plus the walk-ins accepted. The small lobby was filled with 40+ people who had already been waiting 30-40 minutes. We left to go elsewhere. Simply put- do not trust your reservation here. You will be waiting just like a walk in. Really disappointing!

Yelp

Yelp
I Like Going To Benihana And There Food Is Really Good And The Chef Comes To Your Table And You Get To Watch Them Cook Your Food. When You Sit Down By The Grill You Get To Interact With Other People At Your Table And You Get To Watch Them Flip Knives In The Air And The Way They Moves Knives In The Air And You Get To Watch Them Onion Into A Volcano And You Get To Choose What Food You Want And What Drinks You Want And It Is A Bit Pricy Because It Has Three Dollar Signs And On The Wall When You Walk In There Are Famous People On The Wall. The Staff Working There Are Really Friendly And Get Really Busy When You Go In And They Got A Lot Of Really Good Reviews And If You Want Really Good Food You Should Check Out Benihana And You Don't Be Disappointed In The Food Or The Services And What I Like Is Watching The Chef Cook Your Food.

Megan B.

Yelp
I recently visited Benihana and while I'm giving 5 stars, this is only for our chef. Christopher was incredible and made the night fun and entertaining everything tasted amazing . Unfortunately, our service from the servers and hosts was really disappointing. We waited almost the entire meal before we were offered drink refills, and it felt like the staff outside of the kitchen wasn't attentive at all, a little rude if I'm being honest. At a place where the servers are the ones receiving tips and tipping out the chefs, there should be a much higher standard for service. The only reason I'd consider coming back is because our chef (Christopher) truly made the experience worth it. Without him, the night would have been a letdown.

Yelp
. My Waitress Cassy was fantastic . i had a lovely Shrimp boat lunch in the bar today and i had an issue with My Shrimp . she got it fixed and had me new shrimp right away and they were delicious and just like I remembered them tasting when My Mom used to share hers with me . There was so much food , the soup , salad and rice aren't shown here . Benihana is always delicious and my family's favorite place for celebrating important days . i grabbed a pint of Ginger sauce and Mustard Sauce and am looking forward to having it with so many foods this week. very reasonable to take a pint home .

Yelp
My party of 5 arrived for our 7:00 reservation and were told it would be a few minutes. 45 minutes later we were seated. An hour after that my son and DIL had to go home and go to bed. 10 minutes later our chef finally arrived. As soon as the chef was done we paid our bill, boxed our food and left for home just shy of 3 hours after our arrival. This happened once before and they kindly discounted our bill 50%. This time we weren't even comped for the iced tea. The one star belongs 100% to the chef. He was great.

Yelp
I really like this place so I thought I would treat myself tonight by getting my dinner delivered. I ordered a shrimp burrito and took a bite and immediately tasted chewy, disgusting steak. It made me so upset because I don't eat steak. My other items were ok. I called to speak to someone and they said they didn't have a manager to speak with and asked me for my information so they could call me. Also I didn't order a lot, and it took way too long. Benihana has never let me down in the past but tonight you were nothing but disappointing.

Yelp
Great food, awesome atmosphere! Our Show Chef was Andrew M. He was great, funny and talented with his tricks. I couldn't stop laughing. He served up our steak just perfect. I highly recommend asking for him and ordering the Filet mignon with scallops!
google avatar

Sandra M.

Yelp
The entertainment was fun, but as I previously explained we had an experience that was frustrating. We had a party of 7 for dinner that was delayed significantly. I believe that customer service is an important part of a dining experience. The employees at Benihana were exceptional. The manager, however, has not. I tried multiple times to reach him and had no reply other than for me to contact the corporate office, which I had already done. There has been no response from corporate either as of this date. There are many restaurants in the Portland area that provide excellent food AND customer service. We will spend our money at those businesses instead of Benihanas. If I receive a reply from Corporate I will revise my review.

Yelp
We had a stellar experience for my sister's birthday. Our server, Junko was attentive and very kind. Our chef, Nick was hilarious! We all laughed and it was a lot of fun. Well definitely return!

Yelp
They didn't give me my chicken when I literally asked for some this is annoying I first they take forever now they forget my order wrong either give me my money or a gift card or what so annoying

Yelp
I was never a big fan of chain restaurants but I had heard of Benihana for several years. Finally my employer hosted a dinner here and I am not disappointed. The food wasn't extraordinary but the ambiance made for a fun experience and I think that's what most people enjoy about the place. I would come back to try some of their other menu items. They also had an extensive drink menu and the service was great.

Yelp
service was very slow--never filled our water. we had to get up from our table to ask for things like to go boxes and plates. food was below average. a bit pricey for what it's worth.

Yelp
Always a good experience and fun time for the family. Good drinks, appetizers, and entree's. Sometimes depends on the chef that you get, but overall experience was great. Server could've been a little more attentive with the refill's, but overall she did well.

Yelp
Ask for Kol was our chef we've been here many times .. He cooked our food ( my steak ) to perfection !!!! He's super cool and funny too!! We'll be asking for him every time now !

Yelp
Lazy employees . I requested my Postmates driver to add Diablo sauce to my Togo order . He said the employees said they had already sealed my order & were too busy to take any request .

Yelp
My partner and I celebrated our birthdays tonight at Benihana .. Everything was fantastic...especially our chef "Shane". He was polite, funny, and entertaining. We have eaten at Benihana in 7 different states(including Hawaii)usually 10 or more times a year..The food Shane made tonight topped every other time! He was also very kind to keep it "pg" as we had 2 little girls at our table with another party..as much as we enjoyed it, these little girls will never forget it!

Yelp
Cancelled our birthday reservation because we were 15 mins late. We were literally 15 mins late to the minute, for which I take full responsibility for, but the response we got was "nothing we can do, no one you can talk to, it's all automatic so we cancelled you and can't get you a table until 8" with zero remorse or sensitivity to it being an important birthday event. It would have been nice to at least get a phone call before automatically canceling us since we confirmed the reservation via text earlier that day. Sloppy customer service Benihana. Lost a family as customers.

Yelp
Wanted to really like this place~ The hostess at front was the only good part. One star is not just because our server but for overall experience. stuck us way in the back past sushi bar, no big deal. Pretty outside love the wet ground The woman that ended up being our server didn't know she was suppose to be our server which I'm assuming is why it took so long (36 mins) but w.e Here's the rest of the breakdown I ask for meddled lemon and lime for my $4 club soda & im brought them on the side We ordered spicy shrimp hibachi & was brought chicken which she corrected no problem even brought a side of 'chicken fried rice' back to make up for us having to wait again for the shrimp (how sweet right) When she asked us if we wanted steamed or fried rice with the hibachi, she recommended fried so we went with that. When the bill gets there Im confused about some of the charges... she never informed us 'fried rice' was up charge.... But on the receipt it showed 'chicken fried rice', which was the rice she brought to us without our asking while waiting for our original order - so kind Anyways. & so she pretends to know what she's talking about when we walk up to the front because there's no way we were gona chance her getting lost with our card lol we understand it was busy but after all this forgetting about us and extra waiting we had to do we were over ready to go Mind u this entire time we weren't at all rude. We will be sticking to se Portland area for our sushi/ hibachi Oh yah about the food itself* it was mediocre, nothing to go out way for.. no I'm not just being salty

Yelp
Had a lunch date in the sushi bar and it was so good! The service was good too, I'd definitely come back again.

Yelp
We come to Benihana for most of our birthday celebrations and it's become tradition for several visits per year since moving to the area years ago. The chef we had this time around was a perfect match for our table (there was a family with young kids he was able to keep engaged) and kept us laughing with jokes & good conversation, on top of the performance of cooking! My steak & scallops were cooked to perfection, though I miss the larger scallops that were available in years passed

Yelp
The staff here is excellent, very friendly. The show you get is fun. It makes a relaxed and pleasant time. My only knock against the place is the food. It's bland. Pump up the seasoning a bit.

Yelp
This location SUCKS. Always behind, chefs disengaged but ok- they make decent food. Had a reservation for 7:30. Drove 30 minutes and to get there and be told "Sorry we have bad news. We are behind 1.5 HOURS." Ok. I get that restaurants run behind but at least CALL. If you're going to require a number for the reservation then USE it. Horrible service and a complete disrespect for someone's time. I've been to this location a few times and it's always bad compared to the ones in CA.

Yelp
had reservation at 7:30. other couple came in at 8:10 while we were still waiting. Slipped the hostess an undisclosed amount of money, I saw the exchange, and they were seated right away. That is bull shit. wish I would have thought of that first
