This place was very good. One slight downfall was that my steak and shrimp were over cooked. I had asked that the steak be medium rare, but was more on point as a medium well. Flavor was great though! The rest of the food was in point and the chef did a fantastic job with his performance as he cooked for us. All in all, I’d go back to this place again and would recommend others to give it a shot.

Google
Thank you so much to Benihana and particularly the manager, German, for going above and beyond to help me treat my mom for her birthday. The food and service at this location is always great. I am particularly impressed with the honesty of German who helped me pay and even refunded me for part of the bill because my mom had used a coupon. That is such upstanding character and honesty. I look forward to going back to this location and recommend you go to it too. Thank you so much to German for his kindness and tremendous help. Great service 100/10 and rare to find these days. Thank you!!!

I love hibachi and everything here is amazing. The meats, vegetables and seafood were so fresh. The drinks were delicious. I love the chefs and the entertainment. Such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive. The decorations were beautiful. 5 Star dining at its best.

I sat at the bar and had the spicy gyoza dumplings and a classic margarita, both were great! Both managers Sergio and Herman checked up on me and introduced themselves, very friendly. The bar wasn’t busy at all and was a very comfortable space to sit at and enjoy my meal for the afternoon.

I was seated immediately with no reservation. Everyone was pleasant food was amazing. I’m a very picky eater the makes a ton of special requests which they filled without hesitation. 10/10

We had a reservation booked for 7:30pm. We booked later in the afternoon of the same day and when we were booking, both the hibachi seats and bar seats were completely open. We arrived at 7:30 to a full restaurant and waiting area. We checked-in and were told we would be seated when they called us. 7 tables were seated before us. We were finally seated after 8:10pm. A waiter immediately took our drinks orders which arrived periodically over the next 10-15 minutes (for the table as a whole). We finally saw the waiter again (he told us he had to close the bills on another table first) at 8:35pm to take our food order. The hibachi chef was great but didn't start cooking until almost 9pm. The food was good but the chef continuously had to ask other workers to bring him food items that were missing from our orders (the entire veggie portion would be cooked and served but 1-2 people would be without, the meats were cooking when he realized 1-2 people's protein choice was missing so two small children had to have theirs cooked afterwards). We ended up skipping the desert course because it was after 10pm by the time the meal was over and a on Sunday night.. for what we paid, the service and timeliness was absolutely unacceptable. Only plan on going here if you have a full 3+ hours to spend for the full hibachi experience

Google
Went to lunch today @ Benihana‘s and the service was spectacular. The food was amazing me and my coworkers had a great time the GM Jermaine took good care of us while we were there. I’m definitely coming back And recommending friends of mine to have lunch or dinner at this location.

Google
Sergio is amazing, he definitely deserves an award and he made the night great. Not only did everyone working at 11:57pm served us but great customer service and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Definitely worth it. Everything was worth it. Thank you to an awesome team. Will be back. Thank you again.

Yelp
My food was seasoned, but not Japanese style. It was not cooked like a traditional hibachi meal so that threw us off a bit. The chef was sweet and had a pleasant disposition though. The staff had to be asked a few times for items. This had to be the most diverse staff I have ever seen in a hibachi restaurant. Loved that! The restaurant was clean and we were greeted upon entry. There was a bday at our table and the waiter sang to him in English and Spanish:)

Yelp
I've been visiting Benihana since I was a youngin and I'll always love it. Now the prices have gone up but that comes with the economy. I'm always entertained here (my favorite part being the onion chu chu train lol) and I always leave with leftovers. The food is fresh and the staff is great. I haven't had a bad experience or meal here yet. Casual dining that's good for celebrations and birthdays. Side note: Pay for parking in the app to avoid getting a ticket.

Yelp
I went here on a Saturday 11/2 for a celebration. I'm giving a 4 star because the chef was not as active and did not engage with the table like I saw some of the other chefs do. He was very good with identifying any allergies guest may have so he can prepare the food correctly, I give him a 5 star on that. The food tastes great I pretty much finished my entire meal at the table, our table was celebrating birthdays so it was nice the entire table was able to select an ice cream choice. Over all I had a nice time and will return. I ordered the filet mignon with large shrimp, which was very delicious.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this experience today. The food was well prepared right in front of us, the Hibachi steak was delicious and the veggies crunchy. The cooking show was entertaining, with some fun for the kids. I highly recommend this restaurant to families and groups of friends.

Amia P.

Yelp
The service is great and the sake flight was delicious. But on Mother's Day I was left feeling ripped off. They only offered a dinner menu for our 1230 reservation. The portion sizes were greatly underwhelming. A few pieces of chicken, the steak portion was better. $7 extra for fried rice that gets cold waiting on the rest of your food. $7 extra for noodles that was skimp as well. After paying $50+ already for the entree. The veggie portion was sad as well. One thinly sliced zucchini and onions. They gave macaroons to the moms which was nice but we will not be back.

Yelp
I love this place. They can do no wrong in my eyes, except the chefs. My order was prepared incorrect and although they fixed it I had to wait until everyone's food was prepared. The hibachi experience is much nicer when the staff in enthusiast, but it a chain restaurant.

Yelp
Love hibachi! Brought my bestie here for a Sunday brunch date and it was perfect! We were seated right away as soon as it opened. We were eating within 15 mins! The fried rice was addictive! I ordered steak strips and shrimp and she got shrimp and scallops. Both meals were exquisite and still had leftovers for enjoyment later on. We will definitely be returning! The ginger and yummy yummy sauce are so tasty on everything! Our chef was very talented and gave out good portions! Sorry we ate so quick that I didn't get to take any pictures.

Yelp
The food here is good. We enjoyed our filet mignon and chicken fried rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned and was enjoyable. The lychee cocktail was very good. Our chef was very friendly and took great care to ensure we had the proper food and that it was cooked how we wanted it. However, there are a few things I wanted to mention. This place is a tad pricey, other hibachi places in the area are at least 30% cheaper overall with very little drop off in quality (although the food here tastes the best IMO). It's quite loud, there are a lot of kids (Saturday night) so just be aware of this. But my main issue was the lack of showmanship. You come to hibachi places for the tricks and showmanship of the chefs. Only doing the flaming onion tower isn't enough IMO. As I watched other tables I saw a few chefs throw some food into their hat, but that was it. I expected a lot more since Benihana is such an institution.

Ellen V.

Yelp
I head, not to go there . The food and service is not good all is to expensive for what you get. So we won't go, there are much better places to go. My friends had a bad experience so I can't recommend them. Ellen

Yelp
A Hibachi place where the chefs cook your food in front of you and put on an entertaining performance while doing it! If you sign up for their rewards you can get $30 off for your birthday! The place is pricey but the quality of my Filet Mignon was excellent. I got the Land and Sea which included Filet Mignon and scallops, unfortunately my scallops were wildly overcooked. I wish they let us specify like for steak. My meal was supposed to include 6 courses but the tea never came. 5 courses that did arrive were: onion mushroom soup (delicious broth), salad (fresh dole lettuce and tasty dressing), shrimp, main entree, rice, and ice cream. My favorite part was watching the chef! I wish ours did egg tricks but he did do the onion ring volcano which was fun. Overall the portion size could have been bigger as the meal was pricey. No tea

Yelp
Benihana is Japanese-style teppanyaki cooking. On this occasion it was Christmas day and the restaurant was very busy at the bar and in the main dining room. I didn't have a reservation because quite honestly I didn't expect it to be as busy on the evening of Christmas Day. However after approximately a 30 minutes wait the hostess was able to fit me and my family in at a table with another party of three. Once seated our waiter was quick to approach us to take our drink order. One thing for sure is on this day the restaurant was very efficient in getting patrons in and out of the dining room. The food was good however I've been to other Benihana's that once thrived in the DMV years ago and the table side experience was lacking and the food portions seemed small. If you're familiar with Benihana then you know their chefs perform a number of grill presentations including the "beating heart" and "smoking igloo" (which was a sloppy execution). On this occasion our chef didn't perform the beating heat and the smoking igloo was everything but that. The chef also didn't toss any pieces of protein into the mouths of diners which I remember at one point was a signature segment of the grill presentation. We did get the blazing fire show which the kids enjoyed. It seemed almost out of control, however grand which the kids enjoyed. Overall an OK experience. The kids will love this place and so will adults who aren't familiar with the old product of Benihana. One word of caution: the chefs don't prepare the meal as a whole. They prepare the entrees in piece meal, cooking the ingredients one-by-one and serving the entree deconstructed. If you're not used to this you might be tempted to eat the ingredients as the chef places them on your plate, thinking they are just appetizers when in fact it is the deconstructed contents of your meal. It can be quite disappointing at the end of the cook when the chef wraps up only to realize you're not getting any more food. Give this place a try.

Yelp
Benihana is our work crew's spot for celebrating birthdays. It has become a tradition--a 10-year tradition. So crazy to type that out, 10-years! If you are unaware, Benihana's is a hibachi grill entertainment restaurant. They are known for creating an interactive dining experience, where you can watch chefs perform their magic cooking skills right in front of you. The atmosphere is fun and energetic (perfect for kids). Food is always good and since they are serving you directly at the table, you can make your food to-order, including spice level! They have a small bar but they do have Happy Hour!

Yelp
Was planning to visit again but have sent multiple emails about our birthday reward to no responses. Per the FAQ they will respond within 2 business days, but it's been 8

Yelp
My friends and I came for lunch on a Saturday. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. Food was great for what it was. Timing was great too.

Yelp
Good experience. Prompt service with a smile and happy atmosphere. First time in DC so good start to our trip.

Yelp
We enjoy Hibachi and going to different Japanese steak houses. We have been to many of them. For Mother's Day we decided to try Benihana. I will say this is the last time. The food is WAY overpriced for the quality. The service from the Chef was horrible. He rushed through the service, barely said two words to us and over cooked the food. The waiter was good but still not great. We had empty plates and bowls on our table almost the whole time and the tables are small to begin with.
google avatar

Yelp
Best teppanyaki in the area still. Used to go for hibachi lunch specials back in the days which was very very reasonable. Now it's quite a distance to drive down but man oh man.. their garlic butter fried rice is da BOMB. Their service is ofc

Yelp
I was disappointed in this place. I e been to multiple hibachi's and I thought this place was the best of the best. My first issue was we were shoved at a full table that looked like it only fit 6 but it was 7 of us, with one half off the table almost behind it with the cook. I did not like that we were squeezed in. My neighbor was all over top of my glass of water because we were elbow to elbow. Second issue was our cook was burning the onions and charred the shrimp. That wasn't to big of a deal however I was upset that he cooked our shrimp first and he butterflied them and cut them into pieces to make it seem as if it was more than it was. My ship was sold and my vegetables while waiting on him to cook the chicken and steak. I was starving and ready to go. I had been staring at a bowl of rice , cold shrimp and veggies for about 10-15 minutes. Once we finally got our full plate, the food was so skimp and cold I couldn't believe it. I wanted to like this place however, I doubt I would return. The prices are way higher than the average hibachi and the portions don't even fill the plate. Meals are $45 and up and they charge Evers for fried rice. I have never paid extra for fried rice at other hibachi's . I was so annoyed that I didn't even snap a picture. Then on top of it we really didn't get a show like we thought we would. Unfortunately only good thing I did like, was the meats were cooked separately and not mixed together. You can be sure to get a full piece of chicken/steak etc. also the rice was evenly distributed and not just scooped with the spatula. Food was excessively greasy and I didn't really like the lemon squeezed on my hibachi . Ambiance is nice.

Yelp
This review is purely for happy hour. On a Monday this is one of the few places in Bethesda that has happy hour from 3p-7p. The drink selections were great, I just wish there were more or better food options for happy hour. For happy hour they had martinis, punch, sake and other drinks on special. Additionally they had spring rolls, sushi rolls, wings and dumplings on their happy hour menu. I opted for the red plum sake sangria, a side of chicken fried rice and spicy salmon roll. The food was all delicious, I do wish the sangria was a little bit stronger but it was still tasty.

Yelp
You know your foodie love a Hibachi! I am a stan for a Benihana. My go to Fliet Mignon and Chicken! Love this place. Make a reservation on Open Table. Always packed.

Amber R.

Yelp
This is my second time back to this location and both times we had the pleasure of having Luis cook for us!! The food was perfect and even though we are always the last ones in/out we never feel rushed. Thank you again Luis hope to have you again! & to our server I didn't get his name but we appreciate you as well.

Aaron K.

Yelp
Benihana is always good. We ordered take out and the food was good as always. Service was good. I was told that the wrong type of rice was made and they promptly made me more rice the way I ordered it. The restaurant was clean and didn't look overly crowded. I'd definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed my experience here. Was skeptical cause the reviews but this place was hopping and delivered. Lots of people but service was great and food was above what I expected for sure. It was a bit loud as I said cause every table was full but everything was still friendly and attentive. I thought the food was some of the best for hibachi I have had in this area for sure. Got the filet and fried rice , only thing I wish they gave more zucchini and mushrooms ... those portions were fairly small. My partner had the yakisoba with all three proteins and loved it

Yelp
Lackluster food and overall underwhelming experience! It's been years since I've been to this place, and I truly see why I haven't been back.....bland food and average tasting hibachi at best. There are certainly better hibachi spots around the DMV that would run circles around this place. Benihana is one of the original "OG" hibachi spots in the DMV but I am afraid to say they have fallen off and the overall experience that I had concluded years ago seems to be the same today. THE SHORT I came here for a birthday celebration and I am sure this would be the only case for coming here again--not by my own delight. First and foremost, I'm going to give it to you straight up and simple. The food was unseasoned, average at best and the hibachi chef was the worst -- lacked excitement, energy,, entertainment skills and made the entire experience boring as hell. Let me also preface this by saying I have had many types of Japanese hibachi and steak house encounters to know a good experience versus bad. This one was really bad! Also, I've been to enough hibachi-style restaurants to compare differences where the price-point matches the food and overall experience. Definitely not here. THE LONG Now that this has been said, let's get to the strong points and factors that did stand out....THE DRINKS! That's about it. Oh! And the hibachi steak cut was tender and of a good quality. Can't say that about the rest of the proteins in my hibachi trio (steak, chicken & lobster). For starters, the reservation was prompt. As we waited for our table we had great drinks at the bar. The only thing that was a bit offputting was the smell at the bar. It seems to have had a smell of sewage or bad bathroom stench that was nearby. Definitely not the first thing you want to smell before eating your meal. Once the table was ready, we were all seated. This is where things went downhill for the rest of the night The table in which we sat was not cleaned fully. There were food crumbs left around the eating area, and seats from the previous party. We had to request for the area to be cleaned again before we sat down. Now on to the drinks and food..... * Cocktails -- All good and compliments on the: - Dry Martini - Red Plum Sake Sangria - Exotic Mojito - Stong Bone Crushers....Yes, old school drinks! lol * Appetizers: - Pan Fried Gyoza Dumpling (Spicy chicken) on point. Great flavor and crunch - Tokyo Wings: A fail. We ordered this appetizer and then a few minutes later our waiter came back to inform us that they were sold out of wings for the entire night. WTH!? Mind you it was 4:30 PM in the evening and you are sold out for the entire day/night!? So the makings of a good night was already starting to fall short. On top of some of the appetizers not being available, we were also informed that a kitchen fryer was not working so they were not doing any appetizers on the menu that were fried at the moment which included the wings, chicken fingers, some tempura items, etc. I did manage to complain enough to get a tempura lobster sushi roll made that was decent. * Dinner: This is where most of the yelp star deductions are warranted. The restaurant was clearly short on staff and the chef sent to our table was ill-prepared and barely had the ingredients for all of our orders. He seemed very rushed, clumsy, and had no excitement or interaction with everyone at the table. At times, he was dropping the spatula, knife and performing very bad tricks with no success. He even spilled part of the meal on one of my friend's clothing. There was a combination of seafood, steak, chicken, & veggies ordered by all. Overall everything served was in small portion, under-seasoned, and cooked/served in a rush. The rice and noodles that was made to complement the dish was very bland. Everyone agreed to this and at times you could see folks drowning their meal with soy sauce and the ginger sauce provided to get some flavor out of their dish. Lol I really hate to sum up things this way, but what else can I say except for it was a birthday celebration dinner that this place did not make special for the occasion. At least the cocktails and apps (at least those that were available) were good. I would give Benihana 2 1/2 stars at best! As mentioned earlier, the overall experience was lackluster, and they definitely did not make the birthday celebration seem special. The "Salt & Pepper" rating was "0".....meaning bland and and the seasoning-spice level factor needed to be turned up! Not to mention, the vibe and decor of this place still looks the same as when I came here well over 25 years ago in the late 90s!! lol It is clear I would not recommend Benihana as to there are many other Japanese steakhouses-hibachi spots in the DMV that are way better and offer a far more elevated experience. I certainly will not be back here again by choice. However, make your own decision and enjoy. Perhaps your experience may be different.

Yelp
Benihana--AMAZING place, folks! Great food, great vibes, and the chefs? Incredible showmanship. Unlike other places, they've kept prices reasonable (smart business, very smart). A true WIN for the American people in these tough times. Love it. So good!
google avatar

Jerran N.

Yelp
I must say, I don't really understand the hype. Great service. The food just isn't that good. The salad is super basic. The chicken is a little tough. The meat portions are small. The shrimp and bang bang sauce are good. One and done for me.
google avatar

Tim B.

Yelp
Dog friendly!!!! Let's start a puppy happy hour!!! Looks like the health department gave these guys a pass. SO this cute little doggy was not only at the bar area but even got to come into the dinning room to join their human owners at the dinner table. I'm gonna try to arrange a doggy dinner party next weekend. It'll be our Louie's 3rd birthday and he loves him some chicken fried rice!!! Maybe they can put together a menu just for the pooches :-)

Yelp
We made a reservation for 7 pm and arrived on time. To our delight, we were promptly seated. Our server Jabari was phenomenal. He took good care of us, made sure everything was perfect, and checked on us constantly. We've been to Benihana in Bethesda many times over the years and their food is consistently well prepared, served in generous portions and delicious. We'll be back for more.

Sylvia D.

Yelp
Before I get into why I chose this rating; I would like to say we had a wonderful waitress and so was our teppanyaki chef. With the tables being so close it can get a bit noisy when you have 2/3 different parties sitting in same location. We came in for lunch so it was fairly clean. Tho some of the menus could use a wipe down as they where sticky. Now let's get into the food. I had the soup. It's very salty also very disappointing almost felt like it a a watered down broth. The salad their dressing was overpowering to the point I didn't even bother finishing the salad and my kids didn't touch it after one bite. As for some of the meats. I feel like it lacked some flavors. The chicken and steak; which my kids got. I opt out of those and got the spicy shrimp. It was amazingly good. The downfall of all this is you get more onions than any other vegetables which really we are being over charged to eat more onions than anything else really. Compared to other places I've been this sadly wouldn't be my top pick.

Yelp
This is how you Birthday! Benihana brings back so many memories and most of them are good! I've always enjoyed the food and the show. The bad: It's a bit pricy and while I'm not against spending a couple bucks on a good meal, you're paying for the show. The decor is original and a little tired. It certainly looks like a Benihana at the Bethesda location, but it could use a facelift. It feels outdated for a $40-$50 per person meal. The good: You leave full, so there's some value here. The food is pretty good and the entertainment is there. There's no doubt that this is a fun experience. The staff is super attentive and friendly and that's always a plus. Overall: I think celebrating an event here with family is exactly what Benihana is made for. They do a good job of making you feel welcome and providing a fun atmosphere. I'm not sure I would go on a random Tuesday, but I would come back for a birthday.

Yelp
The Best lunch boat got so expensive. But still good deal...because they a lot off food. This time I got filet mignon, come with soup and salad.

Yelp
We came your Mother's Day, the manager was very nice! Our server was Jabari!! He was excellent. Great personality fast with the drinks and food. Dol was the chef he did new tricks with the food. The food was delicious. Very great experience.

Yelp
The food, service, and experience were great. Joel (chef) and Brendan (server) they were attentive and helped create a great experience.

Ethan P.

Yelp
I was greeted by a very nice lady who sat me very quickly. There was much positivity throughout the restaurant. This restaurant was very nice, it felt like I took a trip to japan. The food had a very pleasant taste to it, packed with flavor. The waiter, host, and chef were all very kind. Overall great experience and will be coming back!

Adrian D.

Yelp
I enjoyed my visit at this location ! The servers were attentive, the staff was friendly, the music wasn't too loud, and the chefs put on a great show to top off the taste in my meal. I would consider going here again.

Michael Shannon M.

Yelp
This place's rule of not seating people without ALL their party, is redoculous I had a reservation for 12 at 7pm. One friend was running 25 min late, one person out of my whole party..and the ladies at the front desk refused to seat us. They told me to ask my friend what they wanted to eat..my missing friend who was on his way..they told me to order for him so my party could be seated. How does this make sense? There was ALOT of people having the same issues last night 02/22/25. The service was amazing AFTER we got seated. The chef was delightful and fun! But the ladies at the desk were NOT helpful and seemed like they didn't even care. Suggestion to fix this "rule" is a MUST..by the way we finally got sat at 8pm but holy crap, an hour they made my party wait?! That's rediculous

Muhaned E.

Yelp
Food was beyond good. The sushi was spectacular and the Shrimp Tempura was delicious. I had one of the best Espresso Martinis in the area. In addition, our server provided us with top notch customer service, and the chef was very skillful. The restaurant itself was well decorated with a traditional hibachi feel and there was plenty of space between tables, so you didn't feel like you were intruding on other parties

J P.

Yelp
The first time I came here I was warmly greeted by the wonderful hostesses at the front stand. The place was quite busy but the waiting period was quick and I was seated at a table briefly after entering. Once seated, our chef put on an amazing performance while cooking our apps/main course meals, and boy oh boy, the food was delicious! Overall it was a great first time experience and I'll for sure be back.

Yelp
While our dining experience was good and we enjoyed the meal and table service, I felt compelled to write this scathing review of the deceptive booking and seating process, which consumed the first hour of our experience at Benihana. We reserved a table at 6:30 pm, only to walk in and find 40+ guests had also reserved tables but were waiting to be seated. It became clear that the restaurant had overbooked seats in a purposeful and deceptive way to fill the restaurant - much like airlines overbooking seats. While this is bad practice on its own that I've never experienced in any reputable dining establishment, it was compounded by the extremely incompetent host staff, who were incapable of managing the situation. In fact, they consistently lied to excuse the blatant malfeasance of their corporate feudal lords, promising multiple exasperated guests that they would be seated "next" without any capacity to fulfill such promises. I joked with another overwhelmed mom that the host's claims "yes, you have a reservation" and "you will be seated next" were ALL LIES. We put up with an hour of this and other mishaps, including receiving text messages that our table was ready when it was not (all lies), having the hostess call my name just to "check that you're in earshot" given the volumes of people leaving the restaurant given the ridiculous situation. What bothered me most was the lack of any accountability for this fiasco. Once we were seated, the food and experience was good. What a disservice Benihana is doing to its dining service workers by subjecting customers to the utter charade at the outset.

Yelp
My first visit to Benihana's and let me tell you it was nothing spectacular.... Well let me just talk about what I liked first. The esthetics of the place was nice. My Hibachi cook was excellent. The food tasted good. A lot of variety to choose from on the menu. And the drinks was great too. Also the manager did a good job at accommodating us at the end of everything. Okay, so here's the tea. I made an 8:15pm reservation. (There site talks about being on time and 10 min grace period) I got there at 7:58pm. Parking was free I believe because it was the weekend? I made my way in and was greeted by the front desk. She took my info and had us sit in the bar area and wait to be seated. So we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally we were seated only to wait some more. We waited about 45 mins at this point before a waiter even came And got us drinks. It took for the other guests at our table to complain (who mentioned they was seated 20 mins before us and still had no service). After a manger was called and complaints were made they finally took our orders. Only to see that the server messed up The tickets and had another table that was seated wayyyy after we were already seated to get serviced first. Someone from our table again made a complaint about that.... We waited and waited for or drinks.... Then finally a hibachi master came to our table ready to start serving us, only to bring the wrong order for our table. Idk who food he had but it sure wasn't our table order. Then if that wasn't enough after eating and ready for our bill they had billing issues in everyone ticket! After 2 attempts of correction the manager who was very accommodating and empathetic to our experience gave us. Free drink and small discount. All in all we spent 3 damn hours in this place! And only 1 of those hours was spent on eating and enjoying food. There was so many mistakes. They were so busy and so short staffed. The food portions is NOT worth the $100 bill they gave me. I had local Hibachi places feel a little more upscale than that. Provide much better customer service and there food taste quality was a little more flavorful. And quantity was much grande! I overheard so many guest complaining. I've even seen 2 guest walkout in frustration. furthermore there website talks about all these policies to not offend guest, such as dress codes and more. Well why didn't they address the parents that had there kids running around the entire dinning area, screaming , running, playing like they at a playground or worst a jungle! I guarantee if those kids were African American if would've been a big deal. I couldn't even enjoy my food let alone my thoughts. because of all the noise . This was a huge disturbance to my table Nd several other guest I over heard talking. One guest as he stormed out mentioned "it's like a zoo in here" This place suppose to be upscale charging all this money.. And for what? I sure didn't feel like I was in Bethesda inside this place. Idk if I would be back. I thought about all the other good hibachi places I've rode passed just to get to this one, that is cheaper, with better customer service.... etc....

Yelp
When I went to Benihana I had a great experience!!! The food was great, the service was great, and even the staff. My server was Mylez. He was very attentive and kind.

Yelp
Amazing service and super entertaining, I was a little disappointed in the portion sizing though.....you don't really get a lot of food but it was very delicious.

Yelp
We dined here for Christmas 2024. We are vegetarian so we thought some good Hibachi fried rice and vegetables -- along with the salad, soup and mushroom appetizer would be delightful. NOT! Since when do you have to pay for the fried rice with an entree order?! Why did I order but never recieve the vegetables? Why do the Hibachi vegetables only consist of kernel corn, zucchini and onion? What happened to broccoli, carrots, celery, etc? Why did my family of 7 have a Benihana dinner that cost $200 and we left the restaurant hungry?! Maybe it was just me but the Benihana experience has disappeared. Never again! EVER!

Yelp
The chefs are great, but the service sucks! The host & server lied to us and made us wait for other people with reservations so they could fill the table. Meanwhile, I was on time for my 5:45pm reservation and waited at the table until 6:45 when they finally had some walk-ins to share the table with my parents & I (I asked if they had a reservation and they said no). We ended up being there at least 3 hours because we couldn't even order until they could add two more people to the table. We obviously didn't make an early reservation so we could start eating at 8pm. Needless to say, we were starving and annoyed.

Yelp
Me and the family walked in today 4/13/24 around 5:10pm. The hostess energy was already bad and asked if we have reservations and we did not, she said the next available is at 8:30pm which is odd considering it wasn't packed. We left the restaurant and I decided to try and call the restaurant to make a reservation while walking back to the car, and guess what?? WE GOT THE 5:30pm RESERVATION!! We went back in and I called her out! I don't know what was her agenda but it was unacceptable considering I have my kids who wanted to go. The manager told her walk ins are welcome and she was there making a million excuses and walked away giving me a crazy stare! Our server was good and the kids had fun which is the most important thing.

Yelp
The food was okay, and the service was decent. However, this cat never got to show off their fast cucumber catching reflexes.

Yelp
I went to Benihana for the first time on Thursday Dec 28th and got food poisoning from the steak. Also the cook at the table seemed annoyed with us, there was no show or tricks performed except him dropping an egg. I spent the night with my stomach in knots, chills, diarrhea and vomiting.
