I had a wonderful experience having lunch at Benihana in San Mateo, especially with one of the best chefs in the Bay Area, Chef Tomo. I’m a big fan of Chef Tomo! His food is not only incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, but I can also tell he truly cares about the quality of his ingredients. Everything he prepares is always fresh and clean, which makes me feel confident about the safety and quality of the food. Once again, his restaurant impressed me. The entire place was clean and well-maintained, the staff was kind and welcoming, and I felt comfortable and excited when dining there. I have visited Benihana in San Francisco’s Japantown before and have always loved their style. However, since it’s quite far from where I live, I couldn't visit often. The San Mateo location is perfect for me, and I’m sure this will become my favorite spot!
