Everything was great! Our realtor brought my son who just bought his first home to celebrate and they were so nice and sweet and congratulated him on his new home! The food and atmosphere were great! Server, cook and manager were all great and took very good care of us! Definitely will come again!

NOT WORTH IT, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. WORKER DIDN'T WASH HIS HANDS AFTER HE WENT TO THE URINAL 2 stars mainly for the service. All meats completely over cooked. My husband ordered his tuna steak medium. It came off the griddle pinkish/gray in color and SUPER dry. Husband doesn’t complain so he ate his anyway. I ordered my filet mignon medium rare came off the griddle slightly pinkish. Shrimp was dry and flavorless… again overcooked. Fried rice was good, crispy rice appetizer was very good, scallops were ok. “Chef” needs to go back to culinary school and take the course on how to cook meat in general. Overall the meal was subpar at best. Service was very good but for around $200 for 2 ppl (no alcohol, we both drank water) … absolutely not worth it. On top of all that the restaurant was so loud, you had to yell to hear each other. Oh ….. and to top it off my husband saw that one of the workers didn’t wash his hands after he went to the bathroom. Just gross

We had dinner at Benihana for my wife and daughter’s birthday. We had a couple of friends join and it was their first time at this restaurant. We had a wonderful experience and would like to especially thank our Chef Jesus. He was very personable and made us laugh the entire time he was cooking. The food was prepared as requested and we really appreciate him making sure we had a good time. The restaurant was busy during our visit but the server Ariel was attentive and made sure we were taken care of.

Been going here for years. Last night was the last time. 65 dollars for the plate I always get only to be scraps. They forgot my sauces and my soup additions. You will spend the same amount of money at a Brazilian steakhouse for better quality cuts of meat and all you can eat. My family ordered as well with the same issue. They forgot the rice. Really?!

Really fun for the family. My 10 year old especially loved it. I think it's a good experience though the cost is pretty high, generally about $30-$40 per adult and $20 per child on average. I think the food is good quality but you're really paying for an experience.

Started off having to wait very long. We were a party of 15. There was some confusion going on with tables but we were able to sit together. Customer service was a 8/10 for the most part! This was my first time . Not a fan of the food. Rice was good. Salad had ginger. I guess because Im not used to it I did get a little sick. Not a fan of getting food one by one as it got cooked in front of me BUT I did enjoy that.

You can't go wrong with Benihana. The food and service is always good. However, the hibachi smell will stay with you all night.

I have been dining at this location for 20 years. I have never had a bad experience. My favorite servers are Don and Doris. The GM (Edward) has this location running at 5 stars. The Chefs are great as well! Ty; Julio; Hung; and Tom. Thank you Benihana Team

My friend Debra had her birthday celebration here. The food was delicious. Everything was very delicious. Ten stars.

Man has this place gone downhill. Void of any seasoning, the full experience for cooking was less than 35 minutes from start to finish. Food was actually terrible. I've been here at least 40 times since childhood. $178 for 2 entrees and a kids meal. Wooooof Literally go anywhere else. This was a shame. Service was good though

Went to Benihana on Thursday to celebrate my husband's birthday. We enjoyed our food and the ambiance. It was a great dinner!!!

Absolutely Loooovvvveee this location! The customer service and food is great ! Service was fast and accurate!

We sat at the bar for lunch and it was perfect! The hibachi shrimp was grilled perfectly and the veggies fried rice with the yum yum sauce was tasty. I did have more grilled onions than actual vegetables and the grilled shrimp were small, but overall a good lunch.

The service is to slow . Why make a reservation and still wait to be seated over a hr. I could have went somewhere else. Once my party sat down the server was moving so slow . I highly disappointed. I will not return

I mean eating there just depends on the hibachi guy. Other than that, the food is just OK but the show can be quite exhilarating. And cool to watch if you're on a date.

Great food, service, had by all every time we go. The ambiance is always a great starter when you walk in the door with such happy people. The food is always good no matter what you order, and this is always dinner and a show every time you go

Lunch was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Manager Edward continued to check on our table to ensure everything was good.

I went here for a birthday recently, and it just reminds me always as to why I don't go on a regular basis. To sum up, you are paying for the entertainment and not the food. I love the show they put on and usually the guys do very well. The servers are attentive and I have never had an issue with them. The thing that falls short is the food. The food is mid at best. The prices are so inflated it's hard to appreciate the show, also the portions are not the greatest for the amount it costs. Again it reiterates you are literally just paying for the show. If you aren't trying to break the bank, get a side of the chicken rice and they will still do the show. But it is not anywhere near filling. I had the sashimi as well and it was good, but it was not worth the amount that you're paying for it. I would only come here if I am invited by a separate party.

Amazing food. Friendly staff. Frequently come and it just gets better and better. Fried rice is to die for.

Went for a Christmas lunch this afternoon. While the food was good and our cook was delightful, I was disappointed by the service. My daughter entire steak which we requested to be put in a to go container was picked up by the wait staff. They apologized and offered to give me a discount for the error. It took them a while to come back and say sorry here's a free appetizer for next time we couldn't offer a discount!

I would not recommend this place . The one on Westheimer is much much better . I walked in and I ask for a table for me and 2 people . The old hostess looks at me and says with a snarky grimey voice "well where is the other two?! Are they not here yet??..."" I'm like well they are parking and about to walk in now. Then we sit down at the empty restaurant . Looks super empty . I ordered a soda it was flat. I ordered the steak and shrimp and I asked for medium and my steak was well done.... Like I was chewing on bubble gum .. low quality meats as well . If you want the Benihana experience just go to the one on Westheimer only. They need to shut this location down it disrespects the Benihana name.

My lunch was AMAZING as usual. Tom is such a kind and attentive chef. He knows I have a Seafood allergy and he makes sure he cooks with my safety in mind.

The customer service is always good alone with the taste of the food . I don't like the sitting elbow to elbow wit different people eating the need maybe bigger tables ,the takeout for the portions looks smaller than eating inside

We are frequent customers at bennihanas and have always enjoyed the service. Doris and Luis are chef were very efficient. My drink is never empty and Luis is very informative when asked questions. Always enjoy coming back!!

Our go-to restaurant is Benihana's in Sugar Land Texas for celebrations and much more. We went to Benihana's this time to celebrate my daughter's job offer and our waiter was wonderful and our chef, Ebone was very entertaining, very sociable and cooked an amazing meal. Most chefs talk a little to each patron but Ebone interacted with us and others at the table during the whole time she was cooking. We were very pleased with everything.

Great customer experience! Ms. Doris is so kind. She made sure lunch was perfect. She also made sure the chef was well aware of my food allergies. Nice pleasant atmosphere! Thank you for a great lunch!

I have been coming to Benihana for 30 years. The lunch special has been a favorite. This time the food was just mid. The price has gone up considerably from around $15 to $27. They shorted my first portion of chicken hibachi rice but made up for it by giving me a full portion from the to-go area. All of the portions seem smaller. The service is still entertaining and on point with checking on your needs and refills throughout the experience.Bone the chef was good and honest and Doris who has been there for years was very accommodating.

The tall male Asian manager needs to be reassigned to a post that isn't client facing. Like something in the kitchen away from the general public. On the day of our visit this gentleman was working the host stand. I walked in, the first person in my party, and he just stared at me. We had a good 3-5 second stare down before I broke and said sarcastically - "Hi, how are you today?" to which he applied "How can I help you"? I replied, "I'm well thank you for asking", continued to check in and sat down waiting on the other guests. I sat for a few minutes before the rest of my party arrived and we all went to the host stand again to be seated, thinking they'd seat us because everyone had arrived. He very much did not like this and said "Have a seat!" As in - did I tell you I was ready to seat you yet? Even my younger brother was like what's his problem. This guy is just cold and smug. Definitely not the first impression you want your guest coming in contact with. The rest of the visit was just OK. At this point I dont see any reason to patronize Benihana because there are so many smaller hibachi style restaurants with better service, food and prices. But the birthday person wanted Benihana so that's where we went. Our chef, Hung, was lackluster. No engagement, barely any entertainment at all. Someone mentioned that it was probably because there weren't any kids in our party but that shouldn't affect the experience. Adults like being entertained too. Just all around a dull and forgettable dining experience.

Vibe- This is a great restaurant if you're looking for good food and a great experience! They cook your food in front of you and have plenty of vegan options, that was my favorite part about this spot. Customer service- Amazing! The server and cook we had were great and attentive. Food/drinks- I got the fried rice without egg and the vegetable roll, everything was delicious. Parking- It sits in a lot with other businesses so depending on the day and time it might be harder to find a park right near the door but there's a good amount of parking spots in the

Visited Benihana on Christmas eve which was a really busy night. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the high number of people. The chef was really impressive and performed a lot of the typical tricks including the onion fire and the beating heart, I was missing the shrimp in the pocket though. I got the Scallops. Very delicious and well done! The soup was incredible one of the best things all night. The salad and vegetables are good. I do wish they had a fried rice version that didn't have chicken in it. And it would be nice if all the options came with ice cream not just their specialities.

We have been going to Benihana's for about 25years! Rafino was the BEST Entertainer/ Chef we have ever had! Food was great as Always!

The food was excellent. We highly recommend ordering a pint of the mustard sauce to go. We also recommend asking for extra garlic butter! The staff (manager, chef, server) were so friendly and so accommodating.

After I thought about it I realized that I was rude. I apologized to the manager for my inappropriate attitude. Im not a mean person by nature. It is Mothers Day and I lost the picture.

We came here for my moms 80th birthday. I have many fond memories of Benihanas from high school. It was a hot spot for pre prom dinners. Unfortunately, it's not as great as I remembered. Our chef was new and had 0 personality. There was no showmanship. At all. No flaming onion volcano. No flipping shrimp. No smile. No small talk. Food was good. We had so many people that we took up 2 hibachi tables. Luckily, the other table had a good chef that put on a good show for my mom. It was fun to be together but not the experience we had hoped for.

Great good and fun for family with little ones. I enjoyed the food and ambiance. Been going to Benihana since 1992 starting in Califonia and now Texas. Love this place.

Went to Benihana to celebrate my husbands birthday yesterday and the food was amazing! I had the Spicy chicken and friend rice and it was delicious! Elias who was our cook was amazing! He was making jokes and you can tell he knows what he is doing! My in laws and husband loved their plates as well. I will say though that this location looks a bit outdated. On the walls some of the paper was coming off and I could see like webs at the top it was not a pleasant view. I hope they update the place more since the food and employees are amazing!

My kid just had dinner here and I asked her to bring a small shrimp fried rice. OMG! It was awful! Extremely overpriced for the size of the container and literally had 3 shrimp! THREE!!! I know because they sat on the top and after transferring to a bowl to mix it up, there are no more. Basically we were charged $8 for a bowl of unflavored rice that was dry. The only way to choke some of it down (because I threw away the rest) was to add soy sauce. Hard pass for me!

Our seven year old says "I really like this restaurant. I enjoyed the magic tricks. I thought I wasn't supposed to play with my food! For the food, my favorite part was the steak. And I really liked the soup!"

Over 5 years ago, I completed my original review. I'd say it's time for an update! My friend Sharon and I have been consistent customers at Benihana and it started about 9 years ago! She told me about the birthday gift certificate of 30 dollars that Benihana offers. And that is quite a deal. Highly recommend. Great staff and great service. We typically give ourselves enough time to partake in HH, where we order dranks and apps. We looove the birthday song, the birthday treat, and the birthday picture that we get to close out dinner! This time we were very lucky and received two copies of this year's picture. We typically get one copy and the birthday lady gets to keep it. That's fair, right? :) We know. Bilagya was our server on this particular evening and she was lovely. We will return next year. See yall then. Also, how many times did I say 'birthday' in this review? Haha. Bye.

The service was great. Jacob the waiter and Edgar the chef were phenomenal. I've been here many times and this was one of my best experiences.

Got seated right away. Server was very busy but managed to service our group well with a smile. The food was excellent. I would have liked more vegetables. If you want fried rice that's an $8 uncharged which I found a bit pricey. Great food. Excellent quality meat. Highly recommend.

Always a great experience at this Location. Don was a great server and our chef Elias was exceptional as well. All of the staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to ensure we receive excellent service. We will continue to patronize Benihana and especially this location for the superb food and service.
