WOW WOW WOW I loved this pizza! The service was quick and easy and the pizza is just so yummy. We got two pizzas to share between the three of us in our group and ended up with some leftovers. It smelled incredible in the restaurant, which felt like a great way to get us excited about the food. We got a Margherita pizza and the Prosciutto Special. While the Margherita was great, the Prosciutto Special really stole the show!! Would highly recommend!

First time here It was delicious pizza dough is really unique best texture as well as the cheese and sauce the most important thing they give out free ranch to customers which is really important because everywhere else you go they charge you for ranch so I will definitely come back here just for that their customer service was outstanding they greeted us what they smile. all around best pizza and service around

Best pizza I've ever had in California! The Margherita is delicious. It is thin Neapolitan style. Had this pizza at a pop up location at a pumpkin patch and had to trace down the actual location because it is so good! I've been back a couple of times and the pizza is always quickly eaten by my family and I.

Decided to try this place out with my family on a Friday evening. We walk in and was seated immediately by JIDEN. He was our server and he was amazing. He informed me that his cousin works there too and thats it's family owned. We order the family size pepperoni pizza and wings and benjis fries. It all came out after about 5 minutes of ordering. The pizza was amazing. Definitely the best in town and one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for high quality/top tier pizza or just a pizza lover in general. I will definitely be back Thank you JIDEN for the amazing service

When I tell you *****5 stars, it is not an exaggeration. When in your whole life have you ever ate a whole pizza with no regrets? The answer is never. From beginning to end, the experience is always 10/10. Benji is always around when we pop in. He is mingling with customers, sharing his testimony and quietly ensuring quality control. There is Love in every bite and it is tangeable. This strong opinion evolved before I even read his story. Before I watched an interview and before I shook his hand. What a phenomenal pie. Immediately your transported to a local downtown Italian spot. Fresh dough baking somewhere around 900* caught up in the sea drawn air. The dream doesn't end there. No! Its topped with ricotta, arugula, garlic, burrata, hot honey, prosciutto and basically whatever your heart desires. Never once has disappointment been served. Just the taste of adventures without the air fare. I may never need to go to Italy to experience authentic love. I am so in love I want my entire family to experience Benji's. Was in the area for a nearby event and was hungry, and needed to get something to eat before heading home. I by chance came across Benji's Woodfire Pizza and was enticed by their pictured online of fired grilled pizza and. Topped with uniquely combined toppings. Once we arrived and we at the counter we were greeted by the young gentleman at the counter. We looked at the silent for a but and asked questions about some of the pizzas. We were I formed the Hot Honey Ricotta pizza was the most popular, which also just ao happened to be one of the pizzas we were interested in. We ordered the following; Pizza: Hot Honey Ricotta Pizza (Most popular) Hawaii Wings: Mango Habanero Sweet Asian Chili When our food was ready to took at look inside the pizza box to see how everything looked, and the pizza looked amazing. So much so that my girlfriend and I decided to try a slice of the Hot Honey Ricotta pizza, before loading it up in the car and heading home. WOW! Is all I can say. The first first bite was a delicious combination of sweet & spicy, meets hot out of the fire cheesiness, meets a woodfire smoky baked crust with a delicious crunch...I totally understand why it's Benji's most popular pizza. I literally told my girlfriend, that we'll have to find a reason to come out to Citrus Heights again just to try their pizza again. Which for us is a kicker because it's 45 minutes away from us in Elk Grove, but we'll figure something out! Overall: Delicious pizza and the Hot Honey Ricois a MUST try. Great service and friendly & helpful staff as well.

This place is overlooked--- and that needs to be change asap! We had lunch here and it was fire!!! Wanted a Woodfire pizza and this place looked really good. It didn't have a lot reviews compared to other spots -- and i can't understand why. The employee behind the counter was helpful and she gave us some tips and shared the most ordered items. The Benji fries were really good The cheese sauce was probably one of my favorites and I loved how crispy the fries were. lots of pizza options on the menu, but we went with a classic Hawaiian. I really love how chewy the crust was. The pizza sauce is really good. It wasn't busy so it was nice to have a good meal without a lot of distractions. Overall, this is a great place and you should definitely check it out next time you're looking for some Woodfire pizza in the Sacramento area.

Excellent wood fired pizza in Citrus Heights. We really enjoyed the margarita and fig pizzas. The crust was perfect! We will definitely return.

Wow! I must say, the pizza was a hit! Definitely not your average pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the dough is amazing and the pure love they pour into building it is *chefs kiss*!! The price is a little up there, but for the quality, you can't beat it. We don't eat pizza often, but I can guarantee you anytime we crave a pizza, we will get it from here!

This was our 2nd time eating here. They make a good pizza here. The restaurant is small with a small outside patio. We got the salad (not worth the price) and had a half margherita half pepperoni pizza. The flavors are fresh with good sauce and really good crust. It did get soggy in the middle. Next time I think the family will get two smaller sizes vs. the family size. I figure the crust will be better that way. They were busy and the person working the register wasn't rude but looked like she was having a bad day. Regardless im sure we will be back. I love a locally owned good restaurant.

The amount of times I've brought up this restaurant to friends and strangers in the past 3 months is embarrassing I've become obsessed with their pizza. It's quite literally my favorite pizza, maybe ever. I'm constantly bringing it up in conversation and our family is stopping by every few weeks. Last month at a baseball game I struck up a conversation with a mom from the opposing team- she had a box of pizza and I said -"have you tried Benji's?" She had and agreed it was an amazing. We kept talking over the multiple game series and are now Facebook friends- Benji's is out here filling bellies and bringing friends together. My favorite is the hot pepperoni! The combination of the hot honey and burrata is insane. It's like a flavor bouquet in your mouth- it's perfect. The heat is mild and yet warm and elevated. I tried the "Shroomin" last week. Staaaahhhhp. So. Freaking. Good. I love mushrooms so it's a natural choice but never wanted to try anything else because I loved the hot pepperoni so much. Shroomin is just as delightfully flavorful and creative. If you are a mushroom lover- get this pizza. It's just a thoughtfully crafted menu and fun spot. We always take it to go but seems fun for dine in too. Leftovers are fun to crisp up in a little pan on the stove- I'd eat it breakfast lunch and dinner if I could.

Amazing pizza what should I try next ? I like the light airy crust and the wood fire charcoal on the crust . I ordered a plain cheese and it was a foldable New York style slice . The hot honey was bomb . Soo treat time on Mondays for us and Went back for a large and was disappointed no cheese bit even in the middle which was undercooked and chewy and no spicy heat? I thjnk they left off the honey and chili like last time was so delicious Very disappointing . 48$ is a bit of coin and not worth the sad feeling of a cheerless cheeseless pie :( tried to call at 8:47 just got a recording and I would have returned it if I hadn't of driven from fair oaks . Our pizza looked nothing like the photo off the website . Boo :(

Wonderful experience eating here. As Muslims, we felt very welcomed here. Staff was all very courteous and they offer a beef sausage substitute for any pork items. The Caesar salad was crunchy and tasty. The wings were perfectly crispy without being too greasy. We decided to get two medium pizza so we could try more things. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal. Nice thin Neapolitan style with a robust wood fire taste. The owner is a family oriented man of faith. I feel comfortable patronizing a business of somebody who shares a lot of the same values that I do. He was very sweet and checked on us to make sure that everything was to our liking. We will definitely be back!

Somebody recommended Benji's on a Facebook group as best pizza in the area. They said their relative was Italian and it was very good for his standards. Ok, so we dragged ourselves there to see for ourselves. Got a margherita and bianco and let me tell you.. I had very low expectations. We came up here from LA and there were only two restaurants I'd eat pizza at. Who would imagine that this tiny spot in Citrus Heights could blow out everything I've had in all of California out the water?! I also grew up with many Italians on the east coast and none of the pizza I had up there compares to Benji's. The taste gets a 10/10. My only comment and this is not a complaint is that it's audaciously pricy considering it's just pizza in comparison to other higher end restaurants in more expensive cities. What do you guys put in this stuff?? Their staff is really friendly and the branding comes off very religious which could make some people feel a little type of way. Best pizza I've had in California by far.

Good pizza, good wings, great people! Really nice and welcoming staff. There are just a few tables inside and no patio. While we were there, they had a lot of takeout business. The crust is thin and comes out crispy, a little too soft in the middle, but still good. You can tell that the ingredients are better quality and fresh. Our pizza and wings were delicious. If you want cheaper and less tasty pizza, go a couple doors down! You'll find the yummy pizza at Benji's!

I just happened upon Benji's pizza. The woodfired pizza was outstanding! The garlic rosemary bread appetizer was delicious. I ordered a hot honey ricotta and I added fresh mozzarella and bacon; Perfecto!!!! Lastly, we got the Benji Bites, which were airy, crunchy, sweet and savory; highly recommend. And the logo and pizza boxes are worthy of praise

Saved the day! Seriously the pizza was absolutely delicious! Over Memorial Day weekend the kids and I rented an Airbnb, which had this gorgeous pizza oven outside. I hyped it up all weekend saying we were going to make "fire oven pizza" all weekend . Apparently it's not as easy as it looks for first timers. After about an hour I caved and found Benjis. The pizza was seriously amazing! The kids has a cheese and carnivore. And my dad and I split a Bianco (highly recommend!!) We got the brick oven pizza and really appreciated the work that went into these after our failed attempt!! Thank you so much Benji's!! We will definitely be ordering again when we're back in town!!!

The pizza I just enjoyed here, the all-meat Carnivore, was delicious and flawlessly prepared due to the woodfire oven and periodic rotation. The high temperatures from the oven result in a richer-flavored pizza with an incredible crust. Since the high heat of a wood-fired oven cooks a pizza in fewer minutes, this allows the toppings to retain more nutrients, natural sugars, colors, and freshness. No dried-out or limp toppings here. The intense heat from the wood also adds a subtle smokiness. The high heat also creates the perfect crust that is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The intense heat from the oven walls helps seal in moisture in the crust and gives it that slight char. Constant rotation of the pizzas while in the oven allows them to cook more evenly and the air in motion will help the dough to rise and create that fluffiness. I seldom get a pizza packed with such flavor, and authentic looking while this healthy and fresh. The Carnivore is made with San Marzano red sauce, mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, bacon, and sausage. The red sauce was also spot-on: sweet, tangy, balanced, and fresh. There are 17 pizza choices. There are meat and meatless options but meat toppings can be added to any. Aside from the traditional Italian meats, there is chicken and shrimp. The Bianco and Hot Honey Ricotta are their two most popular choices. The 12" medium and 24" family style are the two pizza sizes. Pesto prosciutto or tomato basil sandwiches, Benji fries, fried mozzarella puffs, garlic rosemary bread, and chicken wings round out their menu. My pizza was amazing! Most patrons are true devotees who appreciate a great, authentic pizza prepared the traditional way in a wood fire oven.

We were introduced to Benji's Woodfire Pizza by some good friends. Benji's is a family-owned business that is passionate about sharing their family's recipes. They are super friendly, funny, and hospitable! The restaurant has both inside and outside seating availability. The decor is simple but modern with b/w photos. One restroom only (funny and clever sayings in there). The oven's top degree was 500°+ with the floor temperature 770° degree oven. It was impressive that it was self-rotating. Regardless it was churning out some delicious hot pizzas! Benji's Bites: fried puffs, marinara, fresh mozzarella, basil, parmesan (4/5). The puffs were crispy yet chewy inside. The toppings were classic Italian. Pepperoni Pizza (12" medium): San Marzano red sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella (4.5/5). Simply classic. The little pepperoni curls up and puddles with the reddish oil that most people would wipe up, but it's so good. Just the right amount. Bianco (12" medium): olive oil, mozzarella, ricotta, fig preserves, arugula, proccuito, balsamic glaze (4/5). This unique flavor mixes savory with sweet. The savory from the cheeses and meat coupled with the sweet from the fig preserves and balsamic glaze. Their pizza crust is all flame kissed which gives it a nice charred look and also provides the crunch a good pizza has. Yet the crust was slightly thick, which was airy and chewy in a good way. Only canned sodas, perrier & bottled water. Overall, 4.5 stars, rounding up because they were very friendly and loved their passion. Come support this local business! They've only been open since Dec 8, 2023.

Amazing experience here! They have the prep time of Little Cesars but the quality of a fresh homemade pizza. Our food was so yummy and the staff were all very nice. I love how clean the restaurant was and was a nice vibe to catch up with a friend.

After passing by Benji's several times, my friends and I finally decided to stop in a few days ago and we were very glad we did. Found this place here on Yelp, loved the variety of pizzas they offer. My boyfriend and I ordered the Bianco and the Shroomin pizzas and they were both delicious! Highly recommend. The inside is cute and clean. Employees were friendly as well. We will definitely be back.

After watching a movie, we decided to have pizza. We don't know the area and as always we Yelped. Yelp lead us to a great wood-fire pizza place like only my fellow Yelpers can do! Service was excellent. The owner even described his wood-fire oven to me. It's pretty cool and one of a kind. Everybody was friendly and made very good recommendations. Food was mouthwatering and Yummy to a capital Y. Thin, Wood-fire pizza at its best. We had the Hot Honey Ricotta; just the right amount of spice. And the Benji's bites were delicious and really hit the spot at the end Ambiance is very comfortable and you can smell the wood burning in the oven but not overwhelming. Do yourself a favor and try Benji's Wood-fire Pizza. You will not be disappointed; bring the whole family.

We came to Benji's for the 1st time yesterday to celebrate my Birthday. To say we were impressed is an understatement. Didn't even get photos yesterday because we dug right in. (Eating leftovers now and snapped a pic so I can share!) and they're just as good & fresh as yesterday! All the ingredients are super fresh and flavorful! We got the Benji Bites & Carnivore pizza. Absolutely love this shop and all they stand for. Hard work, dedication to a very specific and unique craft, and an amazing finished product. I am always looking for pizza shops and of course, wood fired pizza is a favorite amongst all connoisseurs of the crusty goodness. We found this place on a Friday night after running errands and couldn't wait to try it out. The shop is cozy the vibe in the air is very friendly and welcoming and the aroma of dough soaks the air. Such a wonderful start. We ordered the medium prosciutto pie and it was a thing of beauty. Salty, fresh prosciutto, peppery fresh arugula and the ooey gooey burrata dolloped strategically across the top. A lovely drizzle of balsamic vinegar syrup and that's it. The fired crust is chewy and delicious. The perfect char but still allowing for the gluten to shine and the texture of the crust is exceptional. Perfect bite of salty and sweet and peppery goodness. Benji's bites are insanely good. The canvas is a savory pastry bread that is part pizza crust and part baked goods. Very funky texture that I absolutely love!! Sauced just right and the pop of basil is nice as well. We met the man behind the operation and he was super cool. Very kind and humble man and I want us to help continue to grow and expand. Always amazing food. Never disappoints. Been eating Benji's pizzas since his food truck days. We drive 30miles to go eat here when we have a pizza craving. The service is always wonderful. The chef usually comes out to greet the customers. There's such a family atmosphere here. The really appreciate their customers. I love that about Benjis! If you love this type of pizza this is a must! The selection of pizzas is wonderful. Some unique flavor pairings and combinations. We tried the shroomin and Bianco. Both were delicious.

AMBIANCE: HOT - we went in November, it was steamy in there and it doesn't feel like there's circulation... HILARIOUS - Imagine, if you will, that you're steadily melting down as the combined heat of the fire from the pizza oven and the spice from your food starts to mount. Someone is preparing a pizza while humming the River Lullaby from Prince of Egypt; they're on key and it's a good song anyway. Suddenly, another customer asks for oregano, the cashier replies they don't know what that is, the customer then said it is a spice..., and then the cashier said "oh our stuff is not spicy"... while I'm eating something covered in fresh jalapeños, hot honey, and red chili flakes... so many comical things in this experience. Just wish I had a beer to go with my entertainment. Grateful for the menu options. Half and half honored with $2 charge. Shroomin + Sweet and Spicy Piggy. Wowie, yum! Great pizza. Made quickly. Space itself is cute and small. A few tables for outdoor seating too. All drinks are sold by the bottle. Water and soda noted. No alcohol noted in the fridge. There's a brewery down the street that you can carry the pizza over to. Yes, they'll allow outside food there.

I had the Hot Honey Ricotta Pizza with sausage, and the habanero wings. The wings were incredibly tasty and delicious. The pizza was a thin crust, and it was wonderful until the very last bite. The cheese and pepperoni with the spicy honey took it to the next level.

I've been wanting to try benjis for a while and they did not disappoint. We got a half pepperoni half garlic chicken family style and that thang was HUGE and delicious. The restaurant was clean and staff was welcoming. I can't wait to try their other pizzas.

Benji, short for Benjamin, which means "son of my right hand". Also, pertaining to "father of the fatherless", Andre the owner explains why this pizza business is called as such. Friendly crew to state the obvious. With a seating of probably 20 people inside, this brick & mortar location isn't exactly pretty for photos. Decor kept simple with a few neon signs for accent. The menu is displayed via a wide screen. No alcohol available, just Coke, Sprite, Dr Pepper, Snapple Peach Tea, Bottled Water and Perrier Sparkling Water for drinks. No house water is available, so we settled for my wife's water bottle (not a Stanley). We ordered two 12" pies and one 24" long family pie to-go and 8 pcs of wings. 1. Hot Honey Ricotta and Shroomin' (half and half). No need for additional parmesan and chili flakes. The bestseller being the Hot Honey. 2. Hawaii. Wife's order. Never got the taste for pineapple with pizza, but she apparently liked it. 3. His Margherita. Burrata (Italian mozarella and cream) and cherry tomatoes to diversify from a regular margherita. 4. Mango Habanero Wings. Spicy, crispy and savory chicken wings, which reminded me of good Korean FC. Bill came out to $140 without the tip. Half of our dine-in food we boxed to-go. The Long Family sized za had to be packed in two boxes BTW. Excellent pizza, which reminded us of genuine Neapolitan baking. As for returning, I'll end with an invisible quote from Arnie's T800.

Craving pizza for dinner after a movie so went to Benji's. So glad we did. We got there around 5:30 so we were able to find a table quickly. Three of us and we couldn't agree on a pizza, so of course we ordered three because who doesn't want pizza leftovers. Husband had a Hawaiian, brother-in-law had a pepperoni and olive, and I had the carnivore and asked to try the hot honey on a couple of slices because I just wasn't sure if I would like it or not. Apparently on Thursdays, they have a special of buy one pizza and get the second one half off - so that worked out nicely...always happy to save a few dollars. My husband enjoyed the Hawaiian pizza...had more than half left over...ate a couple slices for lunch today (loved it even more than last night)...and will have the rest for dinner. Air fryers are great for heating up leftover pizza (or pretty much left over anything). Brother-in-law enjoyed his pizza last night and haven't heard a report on the leftovers yet. I loved my pizza last night (and the hot honey was delicious), enjoyed a cold slice for breakfast and will have the rest for dinner. Service was great from the moment we walked in. Tables were clean and organized and was a really nice friendly, casual atmosphere. We live about 30-40 minutes away, but will definitely be back because it was that good!

Helloooooo, pizza lovers!! If I could give Benji's 20 stars here, I WOULD!!! You are simply going to have to take my recommendation and get yo'self here ASAP!!!! HURRY, HURRY, connoisseurs of high quality eats! I've had many of different pizza joint's pizzas in my time, and most of them have been good to very good. Benji's pizza is beyond any positive word in the English language that exists, and I'm absolutely serious! The craft (yes, it's a craft!), dedication and labor of love it took to not only make the absolute perfect pizza dough AND the inventive selection of pies here is simply amazing and noteworthy! The crust is the foundation and truly the most important part of a pizza being a "pizza", and this crust is unlike any other I've had. Your pizza comes out to you nice and hot, the crust is light, and the chew is perfect--it almost melts in your mouth. It's so flavorful (especially from that gorgeous Italian wood fired oven you can't help but notice in the open kitchen), and the toppings are ample and the cheese is generous and SO flavorful! You can tell they use high quality cheeses and ingredients to make their pizza (unlike most others) and I wouldn't doubt they even grate their own cheese! The only "difficult" thing we encountered here on our first visit was choosing which "pie" to order, since they have so many wonderful sounding choices!!! We finally narrowed it down to the hot honey pizza and got the small size and from first bite I felt my eyes roll in the back of my head it was that good! Such a phenomenal taste and dimension from the cheese that they use with the other ingredients on this particular pie!. if I were to recommend any of their selections for your first pizza here I would say get this one for sure! My Husband loved it as well and it was just enough pizza to fill us up! I am so happy and fortunate that we were able to finally try Benji's, as I have been wanting to do for several months. Without a doubt this is going be our go to place to get a stellar pizza unlike anywhere else! We're going to slowly make our way through the menu of different choices! My final advice is to dine in , especially your first time trying it! Eating it right after it comes of the oven is the best way to experience it, in my opinion! I also would like to add that the staff there are very nice and accommodating and a shout out to Benji's for thinking outside of the pizza box by providing true wood fired, craft quality pizza!!! You all ROCK!! Now, I want some more of that pizza! lol! SERIOUSLY!

Their garlic chicken ranch and hot honey ricotta are what dreams are made of. The pizzas are fairly thin and cut like squares. My family and I recently ordered a half and half of the two and barely had leftovers. Their ranch sauce is also made in-house and a must have. We made a special request to add artichokes to the garlic chicken ranch side and that was missed though. If you're super particular, make sure to check the pizza before leaving. Mistakes happen though so I'm not knocking off a star for it. They were also super friendly taking the order over the phone and in-person.

Outstanding pizza--definitely a 10/10! We'd passed by this spot many times and finally decided to give it a try--so glad we did! We dined in with our two toddlers, and our 3-year-old, who's usually a picky eater, devoured 3.5 slices! The pizza was incredibly flavorful and delightfully soft. We were also really impressed with the customer service--the staff was super friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and not too crowded. We highly recommend it! Be sure to read their story on the wall--it's truly inspiring and makes you appreciate the value behind every slice!

Wow! I was looking forward to trying to pizza for a few weeks and it did not disappoint! We ordered a pizza, Benji's fries, and wings. Everything was delicious. The fries were good but I feel like they were missing something. Regardless, they were still really good! The feta and basil on the fries was new and tasted good. The pizza was to die for. And the wings were really good. Very friendly staff! We will definitely be back! We wish they had one closer to us! Ate the food too fast and didn't take any pics lol

What a great wood fire burning pizza place with a stove delivered straight from Italy! Seriously it tasted authentic from its ingredients to crispy smoked thin crust it was great. We got the garlic chicken and hot honey. Not huge inside but felt warm and inviting. Plenty of outside seating as well. David and Rube helped us out and we're chill and friendly. Definition recommended!

Walked in and it smells so good and it was so clean. The pizza was great the pizza crust was tender and crispy definitely will be back. So glad to have this in the Citrus Heights neighborhood Staff friendly A++ keep it up

Ordered it twice in one week it was so good!! I had a good feeling about this place, and Benji's did NOT disappoint. Without a doubt the best pizza around!! Ordered delivery but called and spoke to someone beforehand who was super helpful. Tried the hot honey, pepperoni, cheese pizza, Benji bites, and the rosemary cheese sticks. The pizzas were definitely a bit thinner than I expected. The large (23 inch) was a bit smaller than expected too. But nonetheless the pizzas were amazing, and worth the expensive cost. Perfectly wood-fired, red sauce was super flavorful, and I don't even like salami but the salami on the hot honey was [chef's kiss]. I much preferred the rosemary cheese sticks over the Benji bites. The Benji bites were interesting to try nonetheless. So glad we found our new fave pizza place!

Excellent pizza. Kinda small and cramped for dine in but getting this pie back home for movie night or the game is about all you need for fantastic evening.
