I ordered their lobster pizza. Which is first come first serve. Because they sell out pretty quick and sometimes they don't have it for days. But I was resilient and kept in touch with the owners and made sure to set aside one for me. These aren't mass produced. A local baker makes the crust and delivers the crust etc and the owners add the mostly lobster claws to it the vacuum seal and freeze it. Most their food you have to bring home and eat it. They have smoked fish dip which was good and lobster rolls they make ready to eat. two lobster rolls for 38 dollars and a bag of chips is the best deal out there. The fish dip is good as well as the dessert they offer I got key lime and some type of mousse cake I'm waiting to heat up the lobster money pizza thing. I gave it 4 stars because its cash only which probably allows them to offer reasonable prices. While maximizing their profits and not much over head being i only saw two people working there they like keep things simple other than that 5 stars will update to 5 after I had the lobster pie.

Took a day trip to Montauk with my mom and my aunts to explore the area for the first time, and of course, lobster rolls were on the list. This seafood shop popped up at the top of Google Maps, so we decided to stop by and grab a bite. We were greeted by a very kind and welcoming lady at the counter. We ordered four lobster rolls (2 for 1 deal!) and the total came out to $78. This was a great deal and so worth it since you can't beat this price in the city!! The lobster was fresh and definitely hit the spot. Would've enjoyed it even more if the roll was toasted. But, overall we were all satisfied and would stop by again to try other items on their menu. Also, just a heads up - it’s cash only! ☺️

The best Lobster Roll in Montauk. It was unanimous across all my siblings and friends that after 3+ Lobster roll places each, across Montauk during the course of the week, everyone thought your lobster rolls were the best. That’s over 20 #1 votes for Bennett’s Shellfish Brought home a beautiful piece of sushi grade tuna and it was beyond great too

PHENOMENAL!!!! Wow wow wow! This was our first stop on our weekend in Montauk and it was the best deal we found the whole trip! Absolutely delicious fresh lobster and a STEAL at 2 for $35! Be prepared as it is cash only, as are quite a few establishments in town. 2 PACKED lobster rolls WITH 2 bags of chips for less than what all the other businesses around charge for ONE roll with no sides or extras! Amazing! We were welcomed lovingly by the owner and felt like we were visiting an old friend! It was the perfect first stop as we were exhausted from driving and wanted to have some good food and turn in for the night. It would be a crime to visit Montauk and not stop here. Multiple times. In fact, I’m on my way back before we leave! 10/10 recommend!

The OYSTERS!!! were amazing!!!! I love oysters and good quality oysters. Fresh, big, full of flavor! Its not often that you come across wild caught oysters at a reasonable price. The husband catches them and the wife was the one selling them. She was so so kind!!! I can’t wait to come back and man if i had more time, i would love to try everything on the menu!

A very inviting and tastefully designed takeaway spot. The lobster roll was generous and very delicious—it's a must-try. The oysters were freshly shucked. It's a takeaway-only place with no seating available. For fans, Bennett Shellfish even offers merchandise ranging from caps and T-shirts to sweatshirts. We paid $49 for two lobster rolls, three oysters, and a drink. That’s quite a bit for a snack, but the quality was outstanding.

Amazing in every way! My husband and I got the 2 for 1 lobster rolls, and they were phenomenal. I'm not even big on the mayo style lobster rolls, but this was something else. So fresh and yummy, and they were stuffed!! 10/10. Oh, and they were affordable. We've tried many lobster rolls, and this, by far, has been our favorite.

Honestly amazing! Sooo fresh! Such good pricing! They were also so nice. Please note it is cash only ppl always forget this (including us) and parking can be a little hectic since lots of people go but the idea is to get in and out so others can also enjoy it. Best lobster roll we ate in montauk! We tried a few and this was the best in terms of freshness, flavor, and price. Store is locally owned and the owner Kimberly was super sweet they do a 2 for 38 lobster roll all week long and make it right in front of you. Place is cash & takeout only, and a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from a chase ATM in downtown Montauk. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting from out of town looking for some fresh seafood

Finally had the chance to give Bennett Shellfish a try after seeing it all over social media. As others have said here and on the Gram, this is run out of a couple's actual home and as such, there are (understandably) rules to follow. You'll pull into their driveway and ring the bell as indicated. Once we did, there were signs all over about not eating here which, again, understandable, we're in your home. Ambiance is very much to-go counter. We entered to a stressed out lady behind the counter who yelled out "it's cash only!" which I'm guessing has been an issue despite all the very clear signage. Her husband was having some breakfast at the counter and immediately told us that he knew he was breaking "the rules" (dude it's your literal home do what you want). We ordered two lobster rolls as well as clams on the half shell - the total came to $49 which is a steal here compared to other spots. The clams were extremely fresh (just shucked, to the point where there was juice everywhere in this paper container with no top which is great if you can eat it sitting down at a table somewhere...not great if you know you need to GTFO and drive somewhere in your car with it). I saw another couple take their lobster rolls to go and even though the buns were packaged separately, the lobster salad was piled into the same flimsy paper container with no lid. If you don't want people to eat in your house (or driveway), serve these things in actual to-go containers. If you're coming here I would honestly bring your own Tupperware because now my car smells like clam juice. But I guess that's the price you pay for quality seafood and an affordable price out in Montauk.

The lobster rolls were very good but the service was so odd and unpleasant. We asked them if there was a beach they recommended to bring our food to eat and they rudely said we could figure it out. They have a whole menu but were only selling 3 things the day we went, which was fine. They also offered us a $10 size of the smoked trout (also very tasty) but it was the size of a condiment. Not worth the price and I think they overcharged me. Cash only. Nothing notable for the ambiance - it's grab & go.

Wow!!! On a daytrip to Montauk this week, we took advantage of Bennett Shellfish's amazing deal of 2 for $40 lobster rolls. The lobster was perfectly fresh, sweet and ample, and the price cannot be beat. I love supporting a business like this, too from local fisherfolk. Its cool how they run it right out of their house, at a side entrance. The little shop was super clean, the owners friendly. Also scored some amazing homemade cookies and good drinks. All in all, miles better than any lobster roll you'd get that'd cost twice that much. No dine-in, but you don't need that. Do what we did, grab the rolls and eat them on the beach.

The Lobster rolls are the Best in town! The staff is so friendly & knowledgeable! My go to seafood store when in Montauk! You wont be disappointed!

Visited the Hamptons for the 1st time & my friends decided that we wanted lobster rolls. We were unsure about the entrance because we didn't know that it was a literal building that look like a house. Upon entering, we noticed that barrage of pictures on the wall and the countertop with the menu and other food items. We placed our order for the lobster rolls. I really appreciated the fact that they had a 2 for $30 deal, which is very cheap (especially in the Hamptons area) compared to most places that sell lobster rolls for that price or more for just one lobster roll. I decided that I couldn't wait anymore and I want to take a bite of the lobster roll just to see how it tasted. I must say it might have been the BEST lobster roll I've ever had in my life. The owner of the shop told us that the recipe has been her family for generations, and it definitely tasted that way! I love how incredibly juicy and plentiful the lobsters were on the lobster rolls. I know there's a battle between putting butter on the lobster rolls versus using a mayo base spread. Though I prefer both, there was something especially unique about the based used to flavor the lobster rolls. I think I'm more upset that I didn't buy more. I highly recommend this place & would love to come back whenever I am in the Hamptons again.

Honestly amazing fish dip, except the condiment size container was literally $10. The food was fresh and good. The service was kinda rude though. I felt very uncomfortable there. They were not friendly.

Besides the obvious quality of the seafood and other products, the overall friendly atmosphere is phenomenal. Finding this oasis of fresh seafood choices is well worth the effort and you will be rewarded. I love Bennett Shellfish because in the end it is truly about Lola Snow's dream. A dream that has her daughter flourishIng helping others by helping run such a first class business!

Bennet shellfish is a small store out of a family home with fresh seafood to go. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and were able to enter to place our order immediately. We were greeted by the owners and they were super friendly! They answered all the questions we had, and gave us samples to try. We got the lobster pie and some oysters. The Lobster Pie took about 20-25 minutes to prepare -- you just brush some melted butter on top of the pie and place it in the oven, and you are good to go! The pie was creamy and yummy, and the oysters were super fresh too! Their menu apparently changes everyday, so would return to try other menu items when back in Montauk!

The owners wife with warm hospitality served up our 2 delicious lobster rolls to go (take out only) from a batch she just made. Light on the mayo/sauce so that the wonderful chunks of lobster meat were full flavor and abundent. The tasting offered of tuna/blue fish dip was a nice bonus and yummy treat. Highly recommend!

Rumor had it that a lobster roll special could be had in Montauk. The promise was 2 lobster rolls for $30. Well that caught our attention and we headed over to Bennett's. As advertised all of the ingredients are provided for this make it at home delicacy. The result? The lobster rolls were really good, nicely flavored and sized appropriately. Nice to know there is still decent value to be had in Montauk.

Mostly takeout. Enough meat for two lobster rolls with two hotdog buns. They also give you a bag of potato chips. Decent portion for $38. There are also some other items for sale (pickles). Service is friendly and the ambiance is neighborhoodly.

Great mom and pop seafood spot with tons of fresh, local, catch options. Found this place on yelp when we were looking for some fresh oysters and they did not disappoint. The fishery is located in the back of the owner/bay man's house and they feature only the freshest long island seafood, ranging from mussels, scallops, oysters, and there famous lobster pie. They also have some delicious chocolate mouse cake, and seafood fixings. The women running the spot was very friendly and helpful. She was also proud to talk about how her husband was a 14th generation bayman and catches what they sell. Definitely recommend if your looking for some fresh seafood to go. They are cash only and have parking in their driveway.

Great fresh seafood selection to take home. The lobster white pizza is decadent and original. Large amounts of lobster meat spread generously throughout the pie.

Great little seafood treasure in Montauk. Was craving a lobster roll and they have a two for one deal for $30. This is NOT a sit down restaurant, but you can get the freshest seafood here for you bring back home. Clint is the owner and he could not be more welcoming and friendly. Since I'm staying at a hotel, I will be going back after I check out, to pick up some fresh oysters and lobster pizza to bring home with me.

I've never been so disgusted by another human being in my life and I've worked in customer service for years. Do not go here the lady literally stalks you on her security camera before you walk in the door.

LOBSTER ROLL! What a great find, and one of few open in early May on a Wednesday. Plump, fresh lobster in a soft roll. We also bought delicious smoked bluefish dip. So pleased to find this shop, family-run for 14 generations. Yum!!!

So clean, great customer service. Worth the trip. The freshest fish. We will be back

Hours are irregular. Stopped by twice and no one was there. They're not inexpensive but certainly less than Duryea.

Second day in a row this weekend for clams in the afternoon. So delicious. Only positives for this business. Bring cash.

I stumbled upon this place and it was the highlight of the day. They had the best fresh oysters and a lobster pie that was out of this world. The customer service was great, and the shellfish couldn't have been any fresher!

Had a truly pleasant visit to Bennett's -- we got a dozen fresh oysters and two dozen clams to go. Everything was fresh and well-packed, and Kim, the co-owner & her husband were very kind and welcoming. Kim even learned how much we love tuna sashimi and gave us a couple of sample slices to try on the spot with a touch of soy sauce. It was absolutely delicious. We look forward to going back. Make sure you bring cash -- as of right now that's their only form of payment.

Perfect place to pickup some great seafood! We stopped by to get some tuna and oysters - everything was super fresh and delicious. The owners were also very friendly and accommodating - this is a family business that you can see means a lot to them. We will definitely be back!

We were in Montauk for a couple days after Thanksgiving and decided to check out this place. We saw the list of what was available and immediately noticed the clam pie. Wow, I love clams and I love pie. Mmm, bacon too. We brought it home and put it in the freezer. A few days later we pulled it out, put it in the oven and the smell of pie filled the room. It was wonderful! Next time we're in Montauk we will definitely get another

We did a random stop-by at Bennett Shellfish and ordered oysters to go. I'm a bit of an oyster snob and I must say they were some of the freshest oysters we've ever had! Highly recommend!

Best quality seafood and friendly advice. Also great cakes and pies. I wouldn't use anyone else. Kim will guide you if you are unsure of your cooking.

Meticulous attention to cleanliness with the freshest of seafoods. Raw clams were fresh tasty and excellent over a bed of ice. Just ate the clam pie which also was excellent. We'll be back for some fresh local seafood from Bennetts.
