Came back after three years. I was a little nervous at first. When I went in it was super calm, the staff were very helpful and polite, and I had a delicious pepperoni pizza 😋, I kinda wished I drew on a plate, but I wasn't sure if they were still doing that or not 😅, totally recommend! 😁

I really like this place because the slices are big. I guess the big slices are unique to Charlotte, NC. This is the third place I’ve been to that has big slices. I got the pepperoni and the monthly meat slice. I got slices with marinara and garlic sauce. The slices were delicious especially the crust. The crust was nice and soft. The slices were $6.50 each. The place is rustic and quirky. You should check this pizza spot out.

Some of the best pizza in Charlotte. The slices are thin, crispy, and massive with great flavor. I enjoy coming here so much and the slices are always the same. Pepperoni and cheese slices are both great but I favor the pepperoni.

Bennys is always a hit. We’ve been 20+ times and every time is great. We love the workers, they’re so nice and really make the experience. The pizza is delicious, prices are reasonable, great soft drink selection as well. And they have parking! And open late! Truly a go-to spot

The food is always good. They have a vegetarian and a meat option specialty every month (aside from the obvious like pepperoni or cheese, etc). I haven't had a bad slice yet! The service is always on point and the feel of the restaurant is cool. Do know, one slice of pizza is very large. So trying to fit a full sized pizza in a car might be difficult unless you have a large car. If sharing with a group I'd ask them to double slice it because one slice is already so large. But it's so worth it!!! Check out the menu and check what the specials are for the month and you won't be disappointed at all.

so I was in town for a thing at a swanky set up that is, generally speaking, a bit fancier than is my usual but not so much that it's gonna leave a lasting mark. true to form the cocktails were fabulous and since food would have detracted from the experience I took a hard pass there. I wasn't hungry but I'd stuck around a little too long and knew a Jekyll -v- Hyde change was in the offing so I got over to Benny's to stay ahead of it. not super busy late night mid week so no waiting to request one slice of veggie and one slice meat-za to go and what's with the 'yes we have no cookies' thing? took a few minutes to get my order het up and boxed but the overhead is enchanting and soothing so waiting isn't too horrible except for not having any pizza while waiting for pizza. is Benny's the best pizza around charlotte? not really, but it is totally the best pizza around 11:00pm midweek midtown. giant slab of well mannered virginian pizza using quality ingredients to cover the whole thing albeit not everything is everywhere to a uniform depth every time but these things are big enough so it's close enough!! took half an hour to get home and sample the midnight pizza. a few nibbles of each slice with a glass of OJ before nodding off to dreamland and visions of the best breakfast ever when the alarm coaxes me awake in a couple hours... Zzzz

It's hard to find good late night eats in Charlotte these days, much less a good slice for a reasonable price. These slices are huge and tasty. A great way to soak up the booze at the end of a night of drinking around NoDa or just after working a late shift. Theres not much in the way of frills when you walk in the door, but that isn't what this place is about. They do sell beer and there are a couple of TV's to keep you entertained if you need something to do while you wait on them to reheat your slice. Slices are about $5-5.50 for a regular cheese, $6-6.50 for some toppings. My go-to is the mushroom garlic, but I'll occasionally get a sausage and peperoni if I want a little more grease in my stomach(in a good way). Post covid, there really just are not that many other options for something decent to eat till midnight on weekdays and till 2-3 on Thurs/Fri/Sat. I'll be coming here any time I have the munchies late night in that area.

Pizza slices were so great we had to go back and get a whole pie! Service was great, the restaurant was chill and clean.

These pizzas are HUUUUUGGEEE!! Pricey but worth it due to the size. The pizza could have been saucier. Slightly dry. My husband likes his pizza to have a little crunch but this pizza was soft. They deliver.

Who doesn't love a giant slice of pizza??? Well, Benny's is the place for you, if you do! I personally find that if you're looking to get 3-4 slices, it's better to just get a whole giant pie. They're open late night until 3am, so it's also good to soak up all that alcohol from the night. It can truly be a savior!!!!! It's your typical no-frills pizza spot with plenty of seating too. Wait time isn't bad unless they are super busy.

Eclectic pizza shop with a super huge pizzas and large slices. There's plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. The staff are chill. Pizza is good. They serve alcohol and support local artists. Hope you have a great experience

Was craving some pizza late night after a comedy show and stumbled across this spot since it was still open. It looked like a local neighborhood bar/ kind of hole in the wall spot but they had a good variety of pizza options so it was good enough for me. I don't remember the name of the pizza I got (probably a beef or steak) and my friend got pepperoni and it honestly wasn't bad at all. I appreciate that they were open late and that's just what we needed.

Large slices, great atmosphere, loved all the creativity here, music was awesome, reminded me of a skating rink in here. Pizza was good definitely a quality pizza place in Charlotte

Just a slice was enough to fill me up. Restaurant is very casual and it's a great price for what you're getting. It's a good spot for when you're craving pizza.

Parking is difficult but definitely worth it. This gem of humongous pizza slices is open till 2 AM or till pizza runs out. The variety of beers and sodas is also amazing. Great place to hang out after barhopping. The pizza is always hot and fresh. Friendly staff always.

I was so excited to try this place because I love pizza and Benny Pennello's didn't disappoint! I had the mushroom and garlic pizza! The huge slice of pizza came out fresh and hot! The crust was thin and buttery. It was crispy without being hard. The mushrooms were seasoned to perfection with garlic and other seasonings. I would get extra cheese next time that I pay Benny's a visit as I love cheese and love to have the nice "cheese pull". They were busy which in turn made our wait longer. It was worth it! The have some seating inside and more space in the back of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this pizza place!

Visited this pizza place with my brother after returning from vacation. Hands down the best pizza in Charlotte. Reminds me of the NY style pizza from my childhood. I was surprised by the size of the pizza but once it arrive the cost was worth it. Service was quick and the location, being in Noda, was quirky and cute. Benny's has been added to my go-to place when visitors are in town!

We arrived here around 9pm. Luckily we were able to get a parking spot in the lot they share. We waited in and were able to walk up and order rather quickly since there was only one couple in front of us. Although it was mostly full, ordering and the actual wait time wasn't bad. Now, I love pizza. And large, oversized New York style pizza is my favorite. I ordered a pepperoni with garlic mushrooms on top. Never had I had garlic mushrooms on pizza but never will I order another pizza without them. They were the star of that pizza. I devoured this slice so quick, I was already plotting my next trip back.

I've had a really hard time finding any pizza in North Carolina that I actually get excited about. Well, we ordered Benny Pennello's recently, and I already want it again! We got the whole pie just for the two of us, and it was so big that it lasted us 3 days. The box is so big that my partner held it up, and was almost entirely hidden by it! We got the kickin chicken, which was delicious! It was even delicious each time we heated it back up for leftovers. They told us it would be about 45 minutes for our pizza, but they got it to us sooner. We sat and had a beer while waiting. It's a cool atmosphere with some neat artwork on the walls. The best part is that the amount of pizza you get for the price is amazing. There are normal sized pies in Charlotte that are priced near the same, and this is probably twice the size. You should definitely give this place a try!

I have passed Benny's a number of times but have never stopped in. I met up with a friend and they suggested this place. I am always looking to find new places to get my grub on and Benny's didn't disappoint. The slices here are HUGE!!! I ordered two different styles (Garlic Mushroom and Three Little Pigs. Both were solid choices and I really enjoyed them. I can put down some pizza and I was pretty full after I finished these slices. My only complaint is that the drinks are in bottles. It probably makes sense from a business standpoint. Everything worked out well and would repeat when I am in the area.

Love going to Benny pennello's when in town biggest slice of pizza and it tastes so good! The people that work here are generally really friendly and nice. They have a good local and regional beer selection and old time style sodas, like orange cream sickle, root beer, and all the regular stuff too! If you order a whole pizza which we always do you can customize it and get different toppings and have them slice it in either 8 or 16 slices.

I had heard Benny's pizza was decent so I recommended we try it when a coworker was looking to get some pizza nearby. Holy Moly ! This pizza was HUGE ! She got a pepperoni and it was $44. (You can also buy by the slice at $6.50) We weren't really impressed with the pizza's flavor. It was fairly greasy (and visited me later).... and the crust was not crispy. We both added some hot sauce to help with the flavor. I don't think I would get it again. But you know what they say about pizza... even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

First off they get 5 stars for staying open until 3am, let's start there! My fiancée and I never go out, like ever. This night we decided to hangout with coworkers. We had a good time and ended up here at Benny's. Their pizza slices are huge but they're cheap! I think we paid like $2 a slice. If I'm not mistaken, after a certain hour they only serve cheese or pepperoni slices. They have them coming out so fast that the long line dies down very quickly! A hidden gem for sure.

Amazing 28" pizzas! It's definitely a sight worth seeing. This is a great casual joint, perfect for a pizza fix, they have some fun options, build your own, and weekly specials. We had mostly vegetarians in our group so we got the special garlic mushroom and the veggie. Plus a couple of cheese slices for the kiddos. The garlic mushroom was my favorite, light, great thin crust, nice sauce flavor. The veggie was good too, although a little heavy on broccoli! I can see why they have so many reviews, great location too right next to a heist brewery. This place was killing it on a Sunday evening. You really do wanna try this pizza . Glad we finished the pizzas as that box was not fitting in my car !

Late night one evening my wife and I wanted a snack so we decided to stop Benny's in Noda. When we walked in I immediately got the dive bar feel and thought to myself that I know this pizza is going to be good. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and my wife ordered the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and it didn't take long for our food to come out. The staff was extremely nice and the slices were HUGE! One slice will definitely curb your appetite and two is just being greedy LOL! it's time like this when I would love to have this place closer to where I live. I definitely recommend this place.

Giant slice, giant flavor! Benny's offers a massive slice (and pie) and while it's more expensive than a single slice anywhere else, it's a full meal. All you need is 1! They're known for being one of few places that stay open late (close at 3am Fri-Sat, 2am Thurs, midnight Sun-Wed). Definitely tailors to a late night partygoers food need (or "1 more beer" because they sell beer), but you can enjoy it any day of the week from 11am forward! Service is quick, but I imagine once the bars close it gains a line. The interior is typical no frills pizza place. They also have a South End location (Benny Ferrovia's) with the same hours and same pizza!

This place used to be my go to spot for pizza, but coming back into town two years later.. it's just not the same. The flavor is lacking and I wish I could have blamed it on "maybe my taste buds have changed," but the entire party I was with agreed. Service is still quick and friendly.. and of course you still got that hole in the wall pizza joint vibe going.. even drew a little something something on a paper plate to put on the wall. I just wish the quality of the pizza was the same.

My first visit here, I ordered the veggie slice. I was only impressed by the size of the slice. The vegetables were chopped in such small pieces that I couldn't recognize what vegetables had been added. I didn't expect the extra sauce topping and it didn't enhance the flavors. I went to their website hoping to find a description of the sauce and list of vegetables... nothing. I'll just order a cheese slice next time

Tried the newly opened pizza place. Smells great when you enter. Ordered a slice of pepperoni and a water. Price is higher than most places around for the same. Slice was large. Tasted of butter, but not bad. Price for a full pie seems extremely high. I tried it and would eat there again if someone else was paying. Choice between a burger or pizza, side by side. Ok but I will stick to my usual pizza joint. Place was clean and it was easy to converse inside. Exterior tables are also available.

I tried this for the first time yesterday and after reading the other reviews I'm a little disappointed. The food quality was horrible, and the pizza just tasted old and bad. I'm not sure if I would even try this again.

The place is super cool, the building itself is awesome! They have a great selection of drinks, both beer and soft drinks. As someone from the north I have very high standards for pizza and while the big slices were cool, they weren't great. There isn't a ton of options either. It's more of a gimmicky set up but it's still fun. If you want the experience it's good but if you want solid pizza it's not the best option.

This pizza is what I call novelty pizza. They go by the wow factor rather than the quality. The pizza is okay, but as soon as you get up to the crust, you're eating raw dough.

28" of wet cardboard. Really. It was exactly like eating a large portion of corrugated material.

Good clean pizza, that is always hot and fresh. Plus... with their daily specials that has a variety of flavors, rather than the standard options! Why wouldn't you want to eat here. Also, you are able to sit and enjoy your slice, like you are supposed to in a pizzeria. Those slices are 'huge'. So don't let your stomach talk over your eyes!

One slice was $6. i got the brocoli cheese pizza. It was great to be able to get one slice of pizza. It wasn't too greasy either.

Bennys might be known for being a "late night stop", but don't be deceived... this place is great at all hours of the day. A massive slice of quality pizza for a great price. They also have a great selection of crafts beers! Definitely recommend!

This is the perfect little NODA style joint with pizza's the size of a small car. Like so many reviews mentioned, Benny Pennello's is a place I've passed dozens, if not hundreds, of times. My nephew came to town and recommended we go grab pizza's at Benny's. We ordered a couple of large pie's (one pepperoni and one cheese) and they were big enough to feed a small village! The two pizza's set us back around $90. I thought the pizza's were good. I don't know that they were super spectacular but a good pizza nonetheless. If you are going there for a late night snack or what a place to chill after drinks at some of the local bars this is a great place for that provided they aren't too busy. Service is fast and almost robotic. The staff wasn't very life like and seemed to be in a trance most of the time. They weren't rude but didn't seem to really care much about being there. Again, nice little gem that I can see hanging out late night. I don't know if I would want to try to cram that large pizza into my car for a carry out order.

The BEST pizza slice you'll taste in Charlotte! You can get individual slices or a huge pizza "pie". The slices are huge and almost the size of someone's head. They change the specials regularly and each slice tastes just as good as the next. The staff is always extremely friendly and there's tons of indoor seating. You order at the front counter and seat yourself. I would come here at least once a week if it wasn't for the parking! It's located in NoDa next to a brewery and has a small parking lot.

Ok... i love the food, the price friendly! But they have a heavy metal songs! That makes the vibe super heavy... me and my friends didn't enjoy our food, the sound was very loud... i understand that are different types of music, but i didn't enjoy my food and was very good..

Wow! I was told by family that one piece of pizza would be all I could have. I thought "But I love pizza! I am sure I would be wanting more." That was before I saw the size of the pizza...About 26-28" in diameter. One piece would equal 3 regular slices. Place was very busy and crowded. Parking at a minimum. Still, a great pizza for hungry people.

Best pizza place in town these guys rip, Jesse Frank Kelly Victoria and many faces I know. Do you want a New York slice? Come here they have it down to a science. Anywhere else is dogwater. Best pizza in Charlotte hands down.

The biggest slice of pizza you can ask for! It's basically 3 normal slices into one and it's a great price for what you are getting! After miles of walking around town my friend and I stopped in for a slice and it was exactly what we needed! Cheesy carbs after a ton of walking around! The environment is fun and casual, too.

Benny Pennello's is the best place to get pizza in Charlotte. i've only ever gotten by the slice there, and it's delicious. Great pizza compared to other pizza spots in the Charlotte area. I'd say Pure Pizza on Central Ave is a close second, but Penny Pennello's is first for me, great cheese and crust. Favorite kind of slices there is The Slice of Pepperoni and The Slice of Versace. Delicious onions and peppers on the versace. they are MASSIVE slices which i actually love, so if you dont want to get by the slice, getting an entire pie is gonna cost you $$$, but it'll be a 28" size. Anyways, highly recommend!

I could not believe how big the slices are here! They need 2 paper plates almost side by side to hold each slice and they are delicious. One of the best tasting pizzas anywhere around! They serve beer and soda as well, small place but some indoor seating and a couple of outdoor tables too. Great place!

Empty out your try k or bring an SUV if you want to bring home their large Pizza pie home. It's huge! I love the crunch it hax every bite. There is something different about this pizza but it's oh so good with a beer or a glass of wine. Located in Noda it's a great location to shop, eat, hang, then repeat. Enjoy

You can't beat Benny's! Huge slices of delicious pizza. Perfect after a night out in NoDa, or to feed an army! We ordered 4 pizzas for a party and fed 40 people and still had leftovers! Incredible value. And it's easy to get caught up in how big the slices are (One is enough for one hungry person. Two is like eating an entire pizza somewhere else!), but even with the size the flavor is really good! I usually stick to pepperoni but they always have new and interesting specials.

The pizza was delicious. I love the cheese, the crust, the dough. I prefer a little more sauce on my pizza... but this was damn good and I'll be back. One slice is all you need here but I should have had two. Yum. Root beer and a slice of pizza. Perfect.
