Great barbershop! Jake, Eddy, Savy and Mike are all great. They do a fantastic job with my 3 year old as well. Highly recommended. Book in advance!!

Google
Booked a $26beard trim. Owner offered me a hair wash to show me how to do my hair which I never asked for. Offered me a hair product. Then presented me with a $110 bill. (Product cost 34.) Disgusting. Dishonest. Find a barber who isn't a con. 🤮

Google
I’ve been looking for a new barber shop for a while in park slope and finally found some consistency here! Clean and quick, easy to book an appt as well. They don’t have coors lights, but they can cut hair.

Zachary Goelman

Google
Best haircut and shave in Brooklyn. Jake and his brother are old school, very talented, chill, friendly and reliable.

Google
Came here very last minute, with a lack of payment options, but squaredup.com made it easy to book an appointment and pay via gift card. Was able to send a link to the kind of haircut I wanted for the barber to see (can't upload image). Barber was young but took care of me like I was King Edward with a hot towel and an expertly crafted cut, taking not only the time, but also the care and pampering one would expect from a day spa. Great outfit. Highly Recommend.

Google
This barbershop is fantastic! I've been going for years with my kid, getting haircuts every three weeks. Michael and Jake are skilled barbers who always deliver amazing cuts. The place is spotless and has a great vibe. They also offer a relaxing hot towel massage with each haircut, which is a nice bonus. I never have to wait long, even as a walk-in, which is super convenient. The service is top-notch. Highly recommend!

Mike is my favorite barber I’ve had in New York! Highly recommend !

Yelp
Benny's is the place to go in Brooklyn to get your hair cut. Old school barbershop feel with high quality barbers serving up A+ fades. Everyone is super nice and personable and the service is great. Ask for Jake - he is the man and will definitely take care of you!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a cut while in Brooklyn and left feeling and looking great. They take either cash or card but prefer cash. They do walk ins and the barbers are great and really friendly. If you need any sort of waxing done they can do that as well. An A+ barbershop with great service and vibes.

Jason C.

Yelp
Love this spot been coming here for over two years. They are super professional and caring. Great expertise as I am picky with my cuts highly recommended!!!
google avatar

Edward M.

Yelp
Jake was able to fix my haircut, with no judgement, after I was given a not so great haircut from somewhere else. Highly recommend this place. I feel great after my haircut and hav been getting a lot of complements! 5 stars for service, haircut, beard, and quality of work.
google avatar

Yelp
Yuri gave me my favorite haircut I've received in my six years in NYC along with some much-needed advice. Awesome place and good prices
google avatar

Yelp
Found reviews for Benny's online and they were right. Jake gave me a good cut and cleaned up my beard good. I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Vic M.

Yelp
Went into the shop today for the first time. Made an appointment online, was very easy. Jake gave me a great haircut and shave. He really took his time and I was very happy with the result. They also poured out a few shots, which was a nice touch after a hot shave. Will definitely go back. Check it out.

Matthew Y.

Yelp
So many great things to say about this barber shop! They are very friendly, listen to what you want, and just know how to do a great job at what they're doing. I definitely recommend.

Mary B.

Yelp
I love this place. Have been taking my special needs son here for years. Besides always giving him a great haircut, everyone here is so nice, respectful and gracious. We often see Jake, but have never been disappointed with anyone who has cut Sam's hair. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
We took our kids there this evening. We'd been having a hard time getting good haircuts for them that were no maintenance ( our youngest won't let us near his hair so he can look like he's had a bowl cut). I talked with Jake about it and he totally understood and gave the boys great haircuts! We were having so much fun, my husband decided to get his beard trimmed. He looks great too!

Ramsey A.

Yelp
Came in the city for a wedding. Found this place on google, very hospitable barbershop, with a very solid Haircut. Recommend

Yelp
For 10 years i got my hair cut at Astor Place,, which is now gone.. Now I travel 120 miles to Brooklyn every month because Jake is the best barber ever.
google avatar

Lenny Y.

Yelp
Been coming to Benny's for few years now to get my haircut. Always happy. The cuts are reasonably priced and wait is usually short. Lately have been enjoying a hot towel shave - doubles the price of haircut but is damn relaxing and the face feels like baby's bottom afterwards Jake is great and is who I go to always. Others are also good barbers. Atmosphere very casual and relaxed - TV usually plays sports and guys chat casually in Russian. Great neighborhood fixture and hope they stay in business for years to come.

Yelp
Damn. Two men have cut my hair in the last 20 years (with a onetime affair mixed in), and I was really hesitant to trust another shop once I moved to Park Slope, but it's a heck of a drive to Sergeo's in Little Neck (he's still the king though). I came in Sunday afternoon, and was immediately sat down with Isak. I told him from the get-go that he was under a lot of pressure, and he took in a breath, said "oh" and got right to work. He's very deliberate in his work, so don't expect a rush job. He took care of my skin fade to the point where I immediately felt guilty because I knew this meant I wouldn't be making the shlep out to little neck anytime soon. The ship is pretty damned clean, and the regulars seem to have a great rapport with their respective barbers. I can also see why Oksana has such a good reputation here on Yelp. Found my new barber. Hit up my man Isak when you're around.

N. R.

Yelp
What is there to say about the best barber shop in NYC? I'm absurdly obsessive about my hair and have gotten haircuts all around the country. Jake does the best fade, hands-down, that I've ever had in my life (and I'll add that it's far superior to fades that I've paid twice as much for). There's a reason I've been going to this shop for 10+ years despite moving out of the neighborhood a long time ago--there's just no one, anywhere, like Jake.

Yelp
Very professional haircut at a very affordable price. No wait. Efficient and to the point. I had 3 different hairdressers who cut my hair and they were all very good.

Yelp
Great Barber! Seriously one of the best in Park Slope. When asked who I would recommends for a cut in the area, I always answer with George's or Benny's. Both are great barbers with a great/professional staff, clean establishment, and reasonable prices ($18 for a guys haircut). The biggest difference from my experience between the two is that at George's you have to be more specific on what you want (i.e. Razor sizes, lengths, etc) whereas at Benny's you can give a more general description and they are able to figure it out (I personally like both options but I definitely know people that would prefer one type over the other). Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be going back. One suggestion I have is for Benny's is that make sure you come before 7pm so you get the regular prices because after 7pm they are slightly increased (which is more than fair in my opinion)

Yelp
This place rocks!! Super nice people and always high quality cut. I will keep coming back!!!

Jordan G.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great price, nice barbers! First time today, but this is my new spot! Victor is great!

Dan H.

Yelp
Benny's is a great shop - reliable, quick quality cuts. Friendly atmosphere. Jake does an awesome job. Should be your local if in Park Slope.
google avatar

Nick H.

Yelp
Just awful. The shop had hair all over the floor. Couldn't step without stepping into a pile of it. I had a picture of how I like my hair and detailed instructions of what to use where and how I like it. Barber cut way to fast, cut and scratched my neck with the razor and the haircut was awful way shorter than I wanted on top. Also, wanted a disconnect without a blend and he clearly didn't understand what that meant. I had to keep telling him what to do but he would then proceed to cut so fast I couldn't stop him from making huge mistakes and cutting it too short. Definitely won't be going back. Poor service, good price, but ultimately not worth it at all.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
What more could you want in a barbershop? I've been going to Benny's for about two years now and it's always a consistently great haircut, with nice service, at a fair price. I'll keep going there every 6 weeks or so until they're inevitably priced out and it becomes some bougie shithole charging $55 and called like Proper Barber or whatever.
google avatar

Afrim H.

Yelp
Just the most phenomenal barbershop I've ever been too and I'm a barbershop connoisseur. Jake is known for his high skill level. Better than the Zohan!
google avatar

Valentino G.

Yelp
Most of the barber shops that have sprung up the area serving park slope/carroll gardens/cobble hill/boerum hill/wherever have been more on the higher end of the spectrum wherein it's nearly impossible to find a simple men's haircut for under $30. Thankfully, Benny's is around to serve your needs. No frills, no cup of coffee or stella artois, just some long-time barbers who get you in and out with a great cut for a fair price. Any of the guys are good, I usually come in and see Jake because he's a real mensch. You can't go wrong coming here if you're in the market for a good haircut which, let's face it, who isn't?
google avatar

Malkiel N.

Yelp
It was Great pleasure working with Jake, Thank you, you are Great person, Great Team, Right Environment.
google avatar

Yelp
Benny has the best barbers. I've gone to each and walked away with a meticulous and great cut.

Yelp
This place was incredible, i will return everytime i come to brooklyn :) The employees are so nice and its a very great price for a looking good trim!

Ori L.

Yelp
Disclaimer: this is a review of how I was treated by the barbers, not a review of the quality of a haircut. I had 20 free minutes and needed a haircut so poked my head in here and asked how long the wait was. They responded enthusiastically: "You're next!" I sat down and waited 5 minutes. When the next barber finished he called "next up". I got up but was then told there were 2 people ahead of me. When I asked why I was originally told "you're next", they said they meant I'd be next for one of the barbers working, but I was not next in line of customers. Soooo, they pretty clearly lied about the wait originally to get me into the shop. I found this to be a sleezy sales tactic, I told them it was rude, and I walked out.

Yelp
I am on a never ending search for a great barber in brooklyn who can give me a tight skin fade and scissor cut the top of my thick indian hair. And boy am I glad I discovered this place.. It is now my go-to barber shop. I used to be picky and wait on the barber I went to last time but lately, I've been trying all of them out and guess what.. They all know what they're doing. Great cuts. Great price too btw PS. the guy in the first chair is alittle "too cool for school" which is annoying. but its okay, ive been to middle school before, i knwo the type.
google avatar

Lance L.

Yelp
The worst haircut I've ever had. If was from the angry old guy who speaks no English. He was pulling my head back Sweeney Todd style and I walked out with an awful haircut. Never again
google avatar

Taylor P.

Yelp
Stopped in here for my first haircut in the neighborhood. Jake hooked it up. I'd recommend dropping in to friends.
google avatar

Mathew J.

Yelp
After 2 over-priced, long wait (even with appointment) mediocre cuts at Persons Of Interest, I grew my hair out, read the reviews and went in at 9am on a Thursday. Stanley dealt with my bad hair and gave me a super sharp taper-fade with a slick back top for $16. Straight razor neck finish, a hot towel on the face, a generous sized amount of pomade. I left at 9.30am and was on the train for work by 9.45. What a great place, even with a generous tip this place is $20 cheeper than the aforementioned AND with a tighter cleaner cut that literally makes people stare, it's so good, I will be coming back here on a monthly basis.

Yelp
I strolled into Bene's on Friday before Fourth of July and sat right down. The shop picked up soon after. I got a great cut and shave from Jake. Just what I wanted, a low-maintenance summer cut with style. Jake did up nice. $28 for a haircut and shave. You can't beat that. I usually go to a place in the city, but wanted to try something new and Bene's delivered. I'll be back.
google avatar

Corey H.

Yelp
I have been searching for a place to get my hair cut for a while now. It got to the point where I just let it grow. I wanted a barber (not a hair stylist) with a good price, thorough eye, and good attitude. I found all of these qualities in a barber named Jake at Bene's Barbershop. This place is great. I have mixed race hair that is thick, curly, and grows in a hundred different directions, but it was no match for him. Normally, I leave a place with hair that can only be described as patchy, but this was even and clean. I didn't have to wait at all, but I was warned that they are normally busier later in the day. So to skip the wait, go during the morning or around lunch time. I will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Thunder L.

Yelp
Bene is solid. It does what it says on the tin. No messing about, did what I asked for - short back and sides, long on top. It's quick, efficient and reasonably priced. $14 plus tip for a haircut. You can't go wrong with Bene. Give it a try!

Yelp
My new favorite Barbershop, finding a good barber is difficult, and finding a barber shop that is convenient for you is even more difficult, I got lucky and found both. I've been in search for a good Barbershop for years, Truth is I know many good barbers who have cut my hair good, the problem is finding a barbershop that is convenient for you, it is very difficult to find a convenient barbershop and good Barbers at the same time, Benny's Barbershop has both, Good barbers and convenience. I've never felt more comfortable at a barbershop in my life, the guys are very friendly and professional, I was literally walking by one day and peaked in by curiosity and the Barber literally welcomed me to come in, and the place was busy at the time, he could have easily ignored me, but he didn't, he introduced himself and welcomed me to come in anytime, his name was Jake. I have been coming to this Barbershop for almost 2 months now, and I love it, 1. For the convenience and 2. Because the barbers are very professional. This is now my go-to Barbershop and I recommend this Barbershop to anyone looking for a Good haircut and/or shave. As good as it gets!

Yelp
I've been coming to Benny's since it opened. I like that when I go in there I really don't need to tell them what I want because they already know. I have been going to Jake since the place opened. He gives a great hair cut and pays attention to details. I would recommended that if you are looking for a great barber then this is the place in Park Slope. The price is decent and they take credit cards. Their hours are great and they are open 7 days a week.

Christian P.

Yelp
I've been coming to Benny's for 8 years! Even when I moved out of BK to the city I came back as there is no better place for a tight fade, great laughs and top barbers. Jake is my go to guy and gives the best cut and shave. If he's off, his team of Sam and Oksana take care of me without missing a beat. Just the best vibes, laughs and its all family over there. All love to Bennys- CP

Yelp
Just went here for my first official haircut in Brooklyn. If you're looking for a local place, look no further. Just go here. The hours are 8:30am - 7pm M-Sat, 9am-6pm Sun. I went at 10 and didn't wait. I'm assuming the later one goes, the longer you'd wait. Looked like only 3 chairs in there. 14 bucks for a lined up haircut. Dude named Sam was nice.
google avatar

Anna W.

Yelp
I chose this barbershop because of the positive Yelp reviews and the $3-off check-in deal, which means that my haircut totaled $13. That alone is reason to recommend! Of course I expected to wait a bit for my haircut, in the center of Park Slope with a great reputation. I was looking forward to being offered a beer during my wait. But right as I was sitting down, Eric ushered me into his chair and started me up. I was impressed with his care and focus, and he really gave me a great haircut. The other guys there seemed nice, and not at all phased by a woman walking in wanting a men's haircut -- this is Park Slope, after all, I am not the only dyke in the neighborhood. And it's near the Co-op! I'll be back as soon as I can't feel the bristle on the back of my neck anymore.

Yelp
Jake is an artist and I am the canvas. He's the sculptor and I'm a block of marble. He's a maestro and I'm a mess. When I walk into his barber shop I look like homeless dog, when I leave the single ladies of Park Slope throw their underwear at me. "Hello ladies, your dreamboat has docked". So listen up fellas, if you want to be as handsome as your mother has been brainwashing you to believe, come to Benny's barber shop and he will make it a reality. As far as your personality goes, well that's your fault, he's not a psychiatrist, he's a barber. The best damned barber that ever lived. -Private Detective

Yelp
Today 1/10/2014 I made the daring move to try a new Barber and after some yelp review searching I tried Benny's Barber. The gentlemen who cut my hair was Jake, cool guy, outgoing and most importantly good with a buzzer and a pair of scissors. As you can see from my rating I had a very good experience. Heres the top 5 reasons why it earned 5 stars. 1. Barber was friendly, took the time to look at the photo I had and assured he could get the job done (also stopped along the way to check in to see if I was liking it) 2. Did a very clean job on the sides and back of neck. 3. Knows how to use a pair of scissors, as I leave my hair longer on the top. 4. Recommended some product that I could use in my hair for good hold and shine. 5. MOST importantly even though he had more people coming in asking how long of wait it was, he still took his time on my hair to make sure it was what I was looking for which was awesome. At $16 for a Haircut, I left satisfied and felt it was worth the money.
google avatar

Shaun G.

Yelp
I went to Bene's based on suggestion of my fellow yelpers and it's proximity to my house. I was a bit worried about how well they'd do on a black mans head, but they did do a good job. I'm fairly low maintenance when it comes to my hair though (bald fade and keep it moving). I've been to other barbershops where they're cutting on your hair for 45 mins to an hour and I always wonder what the heck they're cutting for so long. Pros: I love how I can pop in and pop out and not end up waiting hours just to get in the chair. Sam has cut my hair both times and I have been pleased . I also am a fan of any place that accepts credit cards! Word!!!! Give Bene's a try!
google avatar

Ricky R.

Yelp
I've been going here for about 3 years and found this shop on Yelp. The quality of the cuts here is top notch. My favorite part is the neighborhood feel of the shop, while maintaining professional quality cuts. They use a straight edge, and pay close attention to detail. Jake is an artist, but also went to a couple of other barbers there and the quality is just as high. I recently moved to the West Village and paid DOUBLE for a place that used battery operated clippers and didn't even use a straight edge. The 30 minute commute to Benny's is worth every penny.
google avatar

Ray S.

Yelp
Excellent little barbershop. -Fast, rarely had to wait more than 20 minutes for a cut -Open EARLY at 8:30am, very convenient before work in the area -Friendly barbers who listen to what you want and then style it accordingly. -Affordable for the area, $16 per mens cut -Ample metered street parking in the area

Oliver N.

Yelp
I've been a customer at Benny's since they opened their doors - 10+ years ago. The service is top notch. Everyone is personable. It's really nice to go someplace where they know your name, they know your cut, you walk in looking like Sasquatch (yes, I'm the one that waits as long as possible between cuts), come out looking crisp, and about 10 years younger. Cheers guys!
google avatar

Vivian Ellen C.

Yelp
Came here by chance since they didn't have a long wait. I took my uncle and cousin here for last minute haircuts. It's two guys that cut hair and they definitely know what they're doing. Super nice guys. There's also a really nice HD flat screen in the place and they have Direct TV and let you change the channel if you want. Is there a better way to pay for a haircut than watch cable and a channel that you want?? Nope. On top of that they gave my cousin (who's 10) a lollipop when he was done. Adorable. Plus...the guy also asked me while he started cutting my cousins hair whether I thought the length was sufficient which I thought was extremely polite and considerate. Great place. All guys should go here and all parents should take their sons here. Bonus - they have a hilarious poster of haircut examples on the wall. My fave is #24.

Yelp
A nice Jewish barbershop with friendly staff. Walked in for a quick cut late in the AM and got service without waiting. The cut was good; barber was happy to re-cut the top with scissors twice more (!) to help me get the look I wanted. Shampoo service was fine, but the placement of the seat against the wash basin was hurting my neck by the time he finished. Great experience overall, but can't give out 5* based on a single visit. I'll be back!

Yelp
Park slope native since 2007. I must have walked by Benny's Barbershop over the years, having never gone in once...staying "true to my barber". A close friend, who goes to Benny's, suggests I check it out. So after much convincing, I go...I tell Jake what kind of cut I want and he nails it, exactly how I wanted! Cannot believe it took me this long to come here. I'm so happy these guys are in my neighborhood! All the barbers are super experienced. They listen to what you want and will deliver with consistency. If that isn't enough, the Barbershop itself is popp'n! Whether it's the sick music playing thru the speakers or if it's the topnotch fūtbol (soccer) playing on TV, I have a great time when I go get a cut.
