Benoli

I'd been wanting to visit Benoli for some time and booked lunch for mine and my friends joint 50th Birthdays. The welcome was warm and the tables are nicely spread out. Light music in the background. We tried the white sauvignon which was great. Smooth and very easy drinking. The garlic brioche was delicious. The starters were amazing. Hake Kiev for me and black pudding for my friend. The fish was cooked to perfection. The black pudding dish was outstanding.. plenty of earthy black pudding, crunchy and creamy celeriac, salty lardo.. pinenuts and sweet raisin sauce. .. fantastic dish. Certainly recommend it. Unfortunately the mains were a let down. Lamb shoulder ragu. Great pasta, but the dish was far too salty for both of us and bitter strong with garlic. We couldn't taste the lamb. We did both eat it as were hungry but I wouldn't order it again I'm afraid. As with each dish we were asked if everything was OK and I was honest and my feedback was listened to and respected which was great. We both had dessert of tiramisu.. it was delicious.. crunchy, rich, creamy, chocolatey and in the centre a hit of coffee. I really enjoyed it and it was lovely of the staff to also give us a sorbet and happy birthday dish on the house. We were also refunded the dessert on the basis of our experience with the main dish which wasn't expected but was really lovely of them. With tip it £70 each. The service was excellent and the starters and desserts perfect. I do recommend and would come back but would chose a different main course. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Simply amazing. Wonderfully relaxed service. The pictures don't do the food and flavours justice. Incredible Italian food. Would highly recommend. We had a party of five and pretty much tried everything off the menu and shared it all. Hate to pick a favourite but the hake Kiev was simply stunning. So thank you to all that took part in service today!

Fabulous pasta, the carpaccio was amazing and such a generous portion. All the pasta dishes were amazing. We sampled the lamb shoulder, the seafood bisque and the carbonara ravioli. Really nice wine list from small italian vineyards . Would defo recommend

Warm and friendly service in a relaxed and elegant setting. Food is creative and thoughtfully prepared. We will remember the carpaccio for a while to come - beef was tender, perfectly chilled and finished with an excellent Parmesan and lovely aromatic olive oil. The tagliolini was wonderfully umami and the noodles a perfect bouncyness to them. Didn’t have room for dessert sadly.

Just sensational. From start to finish. I wish the wine had a more affordable option as it almost doubled the price of our meal despite how nice it tasted. It would stop me from coming more regularly.

The food was delicious, service was very nice, what more can I say, worth every penny! We ordered Beef carpaccio, Parmezan croquettes, Ondine lamb shoulder ragu, Agnolotti carbonara, Affogato and Tiramisu.

I have been to Benolis a few times now and it never disappoints!! We were really excited to try the new menu... my friends black pudding starter was light and very tasty, my stuffed courgette flower was absolutely banging and we both had the seafood bisque pasta which was out of this world!! Massive shoutout to our waitress, Poppy who was so welcoming and friendly, she helped us narrow down our food choices because we wanted to try everything and gave us the great food recommendations, she also went the extra mile with the rest of our evening, what a gem 💎 service was speedy but not rushed and side note my friend said "I'm so glad its warm in here"! Overall, amazing food and experience, still my fav spot in town!! Thank you very much!

I went here with my partner, and I was very impressed with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I was amazed by the way the food looked on our plates. We almost didn't want to dig in because it looked so delicious, but we did, and we basically fell in love with the food. The pictures will show how delicate and beautiful it all looked on the plate. We got three smaller plates to share as the starters. A soft, garlic brioche with rosemary butter. Another dish was a 24-month parmesen croquettes. Which fell apart in our mouths, and we ended up wanting more because it was very tasty. And last of all, olive, sausage, and balls on a stick. We finished every last crumb. For our appetisers, I had a black pudding dish, and my partner had some liver meat, I think. Both were very scrumptious 😋 When our mains came, we were hungry for more. I had the clam pasta with chilli and lemon. My partner had the pork chop with truffle chips. Which we cleaned the plate, because it was too delicious. The service was quick and very friendly. The restaurant was beautiful, warm, and welcoming. This is definitely the best and most delicious, delightful Italian restaurant we've been too and we will definitely be eating here again. I recommend this place to anyone who loves a good meal, a friendly atmosphere and staff and who loves Italian food. I paid for both my partner and I, and it was definitely worth the price and the time.
