"It’s not an easy task to find a family-run restaurant where everything slots together perfectly, but the combination of a pleasant ambience, cuisine based around select ingredients, and truly magical views of the Mediterranean and its coastline from its unique clifftop setting do just that at this eatery that has now celebrated its golden wedding. The secret to its success? The family’s motto of always doing things well.br>Here, the skill and knowledge of two generations have come together through the father and son duo of Benet and Jaume Vicens who extol the virtues of Mallorcan cooking but with a more contemporary, delicate and original approach alongside impressive technique, which reaches its full expression on the tasting menu. Make sure you book a table on the terrace to enjoy the spectacular sunset!" - Michelin Inspector

What should a Michelin Restaurant have? 1- Spotless customer service (✅) 2- Food that transports you somewhere unexpected and brings new flavors and eye opening taste experiences (✅) 3- Offer a unique experience (✅) 4- Offer exquisite wine pairing and share knowledge you didn’t know you needed (✅) Well… Béns d’Avall has all of this and add to that the UNBEATABLE views. Absolute 5* in every aspect. Treat yourself and book an experience for yourself

Exceptionally great experience at Béns d'Avall. The food/presentation was world class, and the service top notch. Wonderful staff who truly went above and beyond. Booked a later reservation to catch an awesome view of the sunset. Highly recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed a sunset dinner a couple of weeks ago at Béns d’Avall. It was such an enjoyable experience that I’ve had to give it some time to settle in so I could try to describe our time there accurately. The views are stunning. We were there exactly at Sunset and it was one of the most breathtaking meal experiences I have ever experienced. We had the 12 course AXIS MUNDI menu with wine pairing. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. Chef did an amazing job of capturing the essence of Mallorcan cuisine in each of the dishes he presented. There was not a single plate that I was disappointed with. The blanc de mar and Tramuntana lamb royal were particular highlights. The sommelier was great. The wine pairing was clearly well thought out and matched the details of the food beautifully. As an added bonus, we got to meet chef on our way out of the restaurant. One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Not to be missed if you are in the Soller area.

Most amazing view. The most delicious food I've ever tasted. I would recommend it 100%. You can taste the immense love for food in every course!

A real highlight of our trip! We first visited Bens d’Avall 7 years ago and it remains every bit as magical now, the food is inventive & incredible- without leaving you feeling too stuffed (although more bread & a cheese course is always on offer!) & the service impeccable, when we enquired about a specific wine we were given a taster & additional help/ detail was always at hand. Perhaps what I appreciated most was how friendly and flexible the service was- when we asked how to get down to the Ben d’Avall bay for a post lunch dip local (vital!) knowledge was given & in a display of true generosity local walkers were served drinks even though pre booking is required to eat. Hoping we’ll be back within the next seven years & I hope it remains just as magical!

Worst experience ever!!! I’ve been there with my husband, mum and aunt. All of us had terrible food poisoning and my husband and I had to call the doctor because our health state was so poor - we’ve paid 250€ each for appointment. Putting this aside I do not recommend this place because it is so disappointing: one of the main dish is just bread and olive, three of them is broche with some sides. The only good thing is the view but it is not enough for the 600€!!!!!!

My wife and I had a perfect evening there on our honeymoon. It’s a full tasting menu so expect to be there almost 4 hours. We made a reservation at 730 and had the best view to watch the sunset. The sunset and view there is one of the best I have ever seen. Everything tasted amazing and I left full! There’s nothing worse than spending a ton of money and leaving hungry. We drove about 20 minutes from Port de Soller and they had plenty of parking outside the restaurant. It was a winding road up the mountain but if you were brave enough to rent a car you’ll do fine. Worth every penny. You won’t regret it!

Google
An incredible setting and dining experience. Beautiful unique meals which were all explained by the wait staff and presented impressively. Delicious cocktails. Expensive set menu (we had to pay 7 euro for water for two people), but worth it for a special occasion. Unfortunately we were one of the only tables that did not have a view of the sunset, so I would recommend trying to request this if you can when booking. If you are intending on driving from port Soller it would be recommended for a confident driver. the restaurant also offers assistance with taxi service.

Yelp
Incredibly underwhelming. I went here for my birthday and had to book the experience well out in advance. Although the view was beautiful, the food was so disappointing and the staff was disrespectful. We had to send back nearly half of our courses and when we kindly noted that it wasn't for us we were told that it was because we "are American and not used to eating their type of food" and that they "were sorry we felt that way because most people enjoy it". I have been to fast food joints with more respect for their clients let alone a Michelin star restaurant. Each of the seafood courses were nearly inedible and the lamb looked and tasted like a raw hotdog. After hardly eating any of the dishes they insisted on us staying for desert and refused to comp us other than the offering of a cheese plate. Despite the excitement of this place, there are recent reviews that agree with this statement and have had much better meal options during my stay here.

Yelp
so disappointed. We came here for my boyfriend's birthday & booked it 4 months in advance. The food was absolutely repulsive. Like I almost gagged at all of it & I eat everything. One of the courses was a piece of bread with olive oil, basically the only thing we could eat. The fish was super rubbery & just really bad. The shrimp- idek what to say to that. The lamb tasted like a Walmart hotdog that sat in water for 4 days. They asked us what was wrong because we sent back every dish after only taking a bite, we told them we didn't like it. This SHOCKED the owner (Katalina I think her name was). She was so offended and rude when we told her that. She said that she's been to America (we are American) and that she understands this type of food isn't "typical" for us or what we are used to. we have travelled a bunch, and have tried foods of all cuisines in many places, and this food was just bad. It wasn't an interest thing. They then told us that maybe next time we should put special requests on the menu . The view was beautiful though !! And our server was nice and attentive

Yelp
Went here primarily for the view that they advertise. Was sat in the back corner with NO view of water or sunset whatsoever. We instead saw the back of the bar, where I had a wonderful view of the bartender. It was just a treat to watch him make my $25 Hugo spritz with a drop of liquor, a splash of champange, and 99% soda water. Then, I was served a raw cut of cod. Because this was advertised as an experimental gastronomical experience, I ate it not knowing any better until noticing my wife's was a flaky white while mine looked like a woman's vulva. The server fully acknowledged that it wasn't cooked and didn't apologize. I asked for a new Hugo spritz with no soda water and he prepared me a new one in the INSIDE bar with even MORE soda water. Fucker. Other than this, the food was meh. One dish looked like semen mixed with blue food dye and didn't taste much different than how it looked. Desert hit though. And the drive to the restaurant and back is BEAUTIFUL.

Yelp
I discovered this place while swimming in the cove below, and was later recommended the tasting menu by many locals. Bens D'Avall gives an authentic Spanish culinary experience, most of the dishes I had never tried before. The menu was huge (which I personally thing could have been smaller), and the dinner ended up taking over 3 hours. I would come here everyday, if only for the wine and view.

Yelp
The full tasting menu is pricey (€98), but an incredible experience from start to finish. Our bottle of wine was €30, although this was admittedly one of the cheaper bottles. They advertise this as an 11 course menu, however in reality it's more like 14 or 15 if you count the smaller items that they bring without any advertisement. We planned a 7:30 reservation so that we could enjoy the sunset and spectacular view. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and there was a bit of rain, so no sunset, but still a great view. Our flight was delayed, and we were 1/2 hour late to dinner, and they accommodated us without hesitation. All of the courses were very good and nothing like I've experienced before. Since there were so many, I'll share a couple of the highlights. Majorcan Black Pig "espinagada" was not what we were expecting (it looks like a chicken pot pie), but sooo delicious. "The squid club" was calamari prepared 3 ways, the center of which was the texture of gnocchi - very baffling but equally delicious. The Posidonia oyster and mussel dish was my wife's favorite, while mine was the Minorcan Veal. The Arabian Citrus Snow was a delicious pallet cleanser which was prepared at the table in between the fish and meat courses. I could go on, but you should come and see for yourself. Other reviews have mentioned inconsistent service, and I can assure you this was not the case for us!

Yelp
I travel 100 days a year, and recently used TheFork app on a trip to Mallorca. On one occasion the app converted a reservation for 2 into 20, created a huge problem. I get there and the Bens D'Avall expected me to pay 1000€ for thefork's blunder, but there is no table set up for a large party. Thefork's email confirmation says TheFork will bill me 1euro if I don't go to the restaurant, then they fraudulently tried to bill my card 100euro--though I ate at the restaurant, and sent them a copy of my bill. These thefork guys have an amateur app, sure, but their slimy business practices are the bigger problem, and they sided with a dishonest restaurant run by an old lady past her prime who doesn't understand email or customer service in the Information Age, got a reservation for 20 and never followed up with me...and TheFork amazingly gave them my credit card number. So I spent 170€ on dinner, tipped to 220€, and the restaurant some days later tried to bill me 1000€. It cost me nothing but a call to my credit card company, who had already recognized it as fraud. So beware, these guys engage in illegal business practices

Yelp
Bens D'Avall is a Mallorcan fine dining institution, perched on the Tramuntana cliffs roughly half-way between Deia and Soller. Excellent quality though increasingly overpriced modern Spanish cuisine. Somewhat 'safer' menu compared to some of the island's newer fine dining options. Unfortunately also some service inconsistency. Views at Bens however are unparalleled. Given the western aspect, time it right and you can watch the sun set over the Mediterranean as you dine.

Yelp
Lovely views, but overpriced food. The prix fixe menu was too many courses none of which wowed. There are other restaurants in the area with lovely views.
