First time and very pleased with my experience 😊 indoor/outdoor seating, love the option! Grace was our server, she took great care of us, was very attentive and friendly! The drinks and food were delicious! 10/10 on everything! Glen even came over to check on the table. All good things start to finish. Thanks guys.

How did I only just find this place? Service was outstanding. Food so flavorful we couldn't stop eating. Even had desert. The bar is very well stocked with unicorn bourbons, I had a pour of Rip Van Winkle 12 year at a very reasonable price. Going back soon to get some other menu items that were our second choices. Filet was perfect, smoked brisket melted in our mouths!

Visited Benstein Grille for the first time for a dinner with coworkers. Such a cute place! We had a large party and they were very accommodating to a last minute reservation, service was excellent. Everything from the appetizers to the drinks to the main courses was great! Cant wait to come back to the Novi area to dine here again. Lamb chop entree was killer. So good. The goat cheese salad was also delicious. Did not have room for dessert but it all looked great.

The food is good but very overpriced! I've had better food for less cost. The carrot cake is a huge slice, and it fed 6 of us. Nice place for special occasions but will not be a regular place in our rotation due to prices.

I have been here multiple times and have always enjoyed the restaurant. Every meal has been very good, Service is always great. The noise level is a little high, which is relative to the high ceilings. It would be great if they somehow got some baffles in there to quiet it down a bit. Is a very attractive restaurant

Very good food in a good atmosphere. Plenty of seating and parking. I highly recommend the pretzel appetizer - uniquely delicious!

My husband and I have eaten here a few times over the past couple of years and each time it was a great experience! Our most recent couple of visits, we have had the pleasure of having Grace for our server and she was excellent! Even during busy times, she is very attentive, keeps us informed of when our food will be ready, refills drinks without needing to ask..etc. While the food may be a bit pricey, we love the great service and will keep returning because of that!

Wonderful location that puts on really cool events from Benstien Liquor dinners, to Mother's Day Brunch. A lot of kids, but they are really attentive and do a great job. Wonderful place to go for dinner and for special events.

Another superb Yelp find! We were out and about running errands and decided to get some lunch. We decided on Benstein Grille. The ambiance - very quaint, yet eclectic vibe going on. There are separate areas for private gatherings. Restaurant was very clean and there is a full bar just in case you wanted to toss back a few while visiting. Food - excellent! Price - expected for gastropub environment. Service - our server was also taking care of a private party, so he was a bit distracted. Seemed like the servers worked as a team helping each other if needed. I wish we saved room for the carrot cake - next time!

Fantastic food at reasonable prices! Five of us dined and everyone raved about their food--1 pork chop, 1 sausage arrabbiata and 3 bronzed salmons. I had one of the salmons and the sauce is exceptional. All entrees came with sides. In addition to the entrees, there were two salads, a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and two corkage charges for the two bottles of wine we brought. It was $199 prior to tax and tip. I have attached a photo of the receipt, 2 of the food, and a humorous photo of the photo that hangs over the urinal in the men's room. We like the interior and the patio seating area. We will be eating here often! I highly recommend Benstein Grille.

Found this place because we got tired of our regular local spots. My favorite part of this place (besides our very attentive waitress) was the mocktails the had. I love going to places with mocktails so this was a beautiful surprise. The place had a beautiful decor and rustic look. Food- I unfortunately wasn't really a hit for me. It could have been the day or myself. But here is my personal experience. We had complimentary bread that I wasn't sure how I felt. It was like a yeast roll and biscuit mixed. It wasn't bad, but not 100% sure. I did order them twice because I couldn't decide if I loved them or not (if that makes sense). I think if they came with honey butter instead of the sun dried tomato oil dip, I would have said 100% loved it. I wasn't a fan of the chicken wings. I feel like they aren't fried with flour but more panko/breadcrumbs? They also were burnt. They have an Alabama bbq sauce which is white. I ordered steak and it was cooked a perfect medium which I did appreciate. However the outside was very very charred. It didn't have much flavor to it either probably due to the overcharring. The side green beans were so good. Might have been the best thing on my plate! The au gratin potatoes tasted more like ricotta cheese and potatoes so I wasn't a fan. Our table ordered the salmon which was said to be very good along with the mashed potatoes. I did try the mashed and I'm not quite fond of mashed. However, these were definitely delicious. The broccoli was ok, but green beans definitely better. The lamb chops were good, but the lamb was very small. Maybe I would give this place another try because I didn't get to try the salmon. I did enjoy most the side dishes too. But I would definitely go back for the mocktails and bread (I think I did like it haha).

Went last night to Benstein Grille. Our service was excellent and the meal was tasty. I had the onion soup, which was unique, and that it wasn't served in a crock. And instead of the cheese being melted on top, it was more of a patty. While it wasn't what I was expecting, I actually really enjoyed it. But definitely if you order this, don't be expecting the usual. And then I had the steak bite appetizer as my entrée. I am glad the server put the zip sauce on the side because it was quite salty. It was tasty, but definitely it would've been drowning in it if all the sauce was on top. I would definitely come back. It was busy, so I'm glad we had a reservation. But overall the ambience was lively and nice.

We love this place! They are so accommodating for our big group. The drinks are always great, service is always wonderful, and the appetizers are always on point.

Absolutely delicious! The flavors of everything we ordered was fresh and hot! We were able to get our carry-out order as soon as it was promised, and the front desk was very efficient and friendly.

Always a great experience every time we dine at Bensteins My favorite is The Goat Cheese Salad and my husband's is the Rib Eye Glen Kaplan who is one of the owners treats you like his own family. Oh,I forgot to mention that The White Sangria is so yummy!

It's very convenient here they have their own behind the building, with accessibility ramps for those who need help in getting into the restaurant. I ordered the signature fillet, and it was OK but I wouldn't say it's the best. It was medium, but the meat was a bit tough. The zip sauce was a bit on the salty side. The green beans were slightly tough. The mashed potatoes were just average. The service was friendly, but busy so didn't check on us much. I wanted a drink refill and never received it. The olive oil and sun dried tomato dip for the bread was tasty. The dining areas couldn't control their heating unit. It was blasting and scorching hot.

We came here for dinner to start our anniversary weekend. We were going to check out the Glenlore Trails, so this was close and came well recommended. Given the condition of the parking lot on a Friday night at around 7:30 or so, I figured we were in for a good, long wait. We waited, maybe 5 minutes. . .could've been a fluke, but yay! We didn't really have to wait for anything, our server (I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome) was right there luckety split after we were seated, and got right on our drinks. She had a Blueberry Margarita, and I had a Domaine Old Fashioned. Both were good, but I would leave out the honey in the future. She ordered a filet, and I had the Chicken Cordon Blue. . .withOUT the Bleu cheese, bleackth!! Awesome food and very timely service!

Awesome bourbon selection! Great food and service. Had a party of 3 on a busy Saturday night...not terribly noisy. Service was outstanding! We all ordered the filet..all but mine were outstanding... just had a grisly spot that I saved to take home for my dogs.

Was able to make reservations tonight we sat for about five minutes before we even got waited on very disappointed in the service then the ambience is very nice. However we were there in an hour and a half before we got our dinner very disappointing in the service overall, the food was excellent. I wish the management would talk to their people and make corrections so we don't have to wait so long I will go back and try again. I'll give them a second chance.

30+ friends enjoyed a great luncheon at Benstein Grille. If they can handle this active and hungry crowd they will handle you with a tasty meal, quick service and a great venue! Glenn the co-owner was spot on with our reservations, and his staff. Guaranteed to be community favorite!

I have gone there since and there food is great! My first review 7 years ago was when it first opened. Atmosphere is wonderful!

The atmosphere is a gentle din, not too loud. Food is delicious, price bs value is a little short.

Great place to eat although a bit small inside, the decor and ambiance was nice, never have had service the 6 or so times we've gone and always enjoyed the meals. The only negative was it was a little pricier than I thought it should be.

Love their food here. Service is excellent. I enjoy getting the fillet; one time they had a new chef who overcooked it, and they immediately had another one made and sent out as I originally requested. Drinks are good too!

So I haven't been to this restaurant in several years. I met my girlfriend here for her birthday for lunch. I was disappointed to find out that they had no lunch menu at all. We both had a salad with salmon on it. It was $19 and way too big for a lunch meal.. the place was dead. I really feel like they would do better if they had a lunch menu ...that being said the inside was super nice... And the salad was actually really good. But $44 for two salads for lunch seemed a bit much we both had water. I should also mention I asked for bread and was told it wasn't made? if you're charging dinner prices, you should be prepared to serve the same thing you do at dinner most people want bread with salad.

Food is amazing! They have a great selection of creative dishes, excellent service and the ambiance is quite relaxing.

Wow, I just can't say enough about this place! We made a reservation for our anniversary on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated on the patio because it was a beautiful evening. This place is so nice inside and out! Oh and I can't forget the jams they had going! It's a whole vibe! So the manager brought us out a glass off delicious bubbly and told us to pick out a dessert to celebrate! How kind?! All of the food and drinks were absolutely wonderful, we had a hard time picking what to eat. I would highly recommend the seafood pasta if you're having a hard time picking too! I wish we lived closer, but I'm positive we will make the trip out to come back because it's worth it!

They have a nice selection of food and drinks. They make an excellent Manhattan called the Domaine Manhattan. Weekends in the evening are busy. It's a nice popular place. The staff have always been friendly, but hey, I'm a fabulous person, .

Nice restaurant located a little bit off of the beaten path on Benstein rd in Commerce township. The restaurant itself has a cool contemporary vibe to it with high ceilings and exposed ducting and steel beams that come together to form a visually appealing dining environment. Plenty of tables with good spacing between them offering a degree of privacy/separation that is lacking in many of the restaurants in this area. Outside dining options are also available as well to include several Igloo's for colder weather dining. Relative to the menu it is definately more upscale than most of the establishments in the area with a nice assortment of starters, soups and salads with the entrees predominantly centered around steaks, pasta's, seafood, chicken, sandwiches and gluten free. Basically something for everyone with prices starting at $14 for the sandwiches to mid thirty dollar range for their steaks. Relative to Alcohol they have a limited wine selection and a large handcrafted cocktail menu that looks to be one of the strengths of this establishment and definately something to consider come summertime. For our meal which was our first at this establishment we had the steak bites, chicken sandwich and house seasoned fries where all the food was well prepared and good. The steak bites were the star of the meal and had tenderloin tips grilled to perfection (Pink in the middle not well done) with wild mushrooms, carmelized onions, gorgonzola crumbles topped with a zip sauce and served with artesian toast. Very tasty! The other key aspect of the meal was the service which was top notch. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in directing us on the gluten free options for my grandson and had nice follow up throughout the meal. Overall a very nice restaurant that checks all the boxes with a nice upscale feel to it. Definately an excellent option if you are looking for someplace a little nicer to take your significant other too for a date nite! We will definately be returning in the near future and sampling some of the other items on their menu!

Amazing dinner, dessert, and bourbon. One of our favorite places to dine with or without the kids.

Really good food! My wife & I had rib eye steak & lamb chops. She is extremely fussy about her steaks, so I was surprised when she pronounced it as "perfect!." My lamb chops were tender and expertly seasoned. "Succulent" Our server Libby always appeared when we needed something & delivered our meal piping hot. Our meal was so good that I overlooked mentioning an important tip. If you want to include your table choice (high top, low top or booth), call them directly as their online reservation service doesn't convey you table choice. I will definitely be coming back!

Ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer. It was the worst ever $15.00 for 5 regular sized shrimp. It was a horrible appetizer with a weak sauce as well. The drinks were not even a decent pour at $16.00 for a 3/4 shot at best for a Blantons on the rocks.?Every time I go there there the experience is less satisfying than the time before. I will never go back there again. There are too many restaurants in the area that actually serve their customers an amazing menu and don't scrimp on their customers. It will be cold day in hell before I set foot again in the Benstein Grille.

Had the BG bowl. Ordered shrimp for it. Bowl came without the shrimp but it was good without it and waitress took the shrimp off bill. My husband loved his pork chop and green beans and my mom really liked her chicken sandwich on pretzel bun. Came with a lot of good fries. Warm rolls and warm tomato ? oil is brought to all tables. Waitress was great and restaurant was very busy but meals came out quickly.

Benstein Grille is our go to restaurant. The delicious food, excellent service and warm ambiance never disappoints. My husband and I go there at least once a month, 2-3 if you count our carry outs! I've hosted two bridal showers there as well! Mike and Glenn run a wonderful business. Feels like home!!!

The food was great. I think our waitress was fairly new... we ordered a bottle of wine and she brought the bottle without the chiller. The bruschetta was a 8 out of 10. If the bread had actually been toasted, it would have been a 10. I had the bbq brisket it was very tasty. I will definitely go back the food and ambiance were good.

The service and ambiance are great, however, the meals my husband and I ate weren't anything to write home about. I had the 12oz ribeye because I wanted to try their au gratin potatoes. The steak was bland and chewy. They give you a cheap steak knife to cut it with (think Ponderosa) and as a woman I don't want to have to saw on my steak in front of others. The au gratin potatoes were terrible. Literally no seasoning whatsoever and the cream was thick and not hot. Some of the potatoes were cooked, others were pretty crunchy. It's disappointing because it really is a nice place and the waitstaff are very good at what they do.

First time dining passing through Commerce MI. Started with Tomato Bruschetta very disappointing in general. The Crostini was soggy and could be used as the topper for a french onion soup, the topping itself was not very good either. This misstep wouldn't prevent us from returning. Wife had Mystic Carbonara and thoroughly enjoyed it. I dined a little lighter with Sweet & Spicy Calamari as an entree and also enjoyed the dish. Our server Mark was attentive and professional. The restaurant itself is very inviting and we could envision ourselves regulars if we lived in the area.

While visiting my parents suggested this for dinner. Looking for lighter fare I ordered the salad along with my girlfriend. It was huge but filling. Family enjoyed their meals as well. Our waitress was very attentive but not overly bearing. Always there when needed. The over dining area had a nice modern vibe. Large bar area. Kinda loud but you can still hear each other. I would recommend.

My cousin lives in the area and she introduced me to this restaurant. The staff was able to seat us quickly and the waitress was professional and attentive. I had the Mac and cheese Lobster and it was delicious. I can't wait to come back so I can try other things on the menu.

Food and service has gone way downhill! Typically on a Saturday night you need a reservation or there's a long, wait to get in. We wondered why tables were open and an empty bar at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. Our food was not good. Our waitress was rude. My water was not filled our whole dinner. Our salad came out with our meal. This was our go to place after tonight I will not go back!!

Tried to buy tickets for a wine dinner and wasn't allowed to purchase tickets online through the provided link. Called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone said she knew nothing about the dinner. She said that she would have the manager call back. I never received a call. Got online today, and saw that I was finally able to purchase tickets. Bought four tickets and an hour later, received a call from the manager explaining that the dinner was sold out and that I would get a refund for my purchase. The food and service at Benstein has been very good but the people running the special promotions need to gain some experience before we ever return. Very poor management and extremely poor communication as well as incompetent social media staff.

We had an unbelievable experience. Thank you Grace! Service was the best I have experienced in a restaurant in a very long time. She was awesome and everyone that served and delivered was top notch. First time I have eaten there and will certainly come back. Food was awesome. Everything was 10 out of 10!

A very nice contemporary restaurant with a selection of food that is not too overwhelming or overpriced. Had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans which where well seasoned. The temperature was cooked as requested. Overall was happy with my meal and overall service. If you are planning on going during the weekend, I definitely recommend to make reservations

This was my first time visiting Beinstein Grille and I had an excellent experience. I loved the atmosphere and the creative menu! The food was great and the cocktails were delicious! They have a GF menu, which is nice for those that can't have gluten. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant seem very family friendly and was diverse with a mixed age group. I will definitely come back!

I ordered carry-out Tuesday evening (7/20/2021) My order was for the Wagyu Burger and Crab Rangoon appetizer. When I arrived the nice hostess informed me they ran out of Crab Rangoon and if I wanted to choose another appetizer, so I choose the steak bites and she went directly to the cook and to expedite the order, in the meantime my burger was waiting there in it's too-go box getting soggy, which I didn't realize until I got back to my campsite which was only a few miles away. The Wagyu Burger was not cooked to my expectations, especially at its cost, it was rare in the middle and medium on the outside, I prefer my burger medium all the way through, When I called in my order, no one asked me how I prefer my burger cooked. The thought didn't occur to me to ask them to cook it medium-well, as I rarely order a burger. The bottom side of the bun was soggy and fell apart when I picked it up. Now the steak bites, they were absolutely amazing, probably the best I've ever had or up there on the top of the list ! The hostess was really nice. The restaurant was nice inside and outside. If it wasn't for the disappointing burger, I would give them a higher rating, however I cant overlook throwing a $16 half eaten burger into the trash can, and that's exactly what happened.

Nice interior with central bar, lots of tables. Unfortunately being seated was extremely slow (over an hour wait). Noted many open tables and were told they were for reservations. Service was quick, food was good not great. Brisket was a standout, super tender. Chicken sandwich was dripping in sauce and the pretzel bun was very hard. Fried chicken sandwich was good, but again swimming in sauce. The grilled shrimp was on a nice bed of couscous but the shrimp was overdone. The crusty bread and dipping oil were nice.

We love this place and are lucky it is so close to home. They have a wonderful menu with options ranging from a great tasting burger and fries to a delicious steak or salmon. I've tried quite a few things on the menu but my favorite is probably the lobster mac n cheese. And bonus points because they make a gluten free option! Its Its perfectly creamy and has a generous portion of lobster. They even server me gluten free rolls with it. Ah heaven. On one occasion I ordered something I didnt like. It was a salmon dish and I really wasnt happy with the sauce. The manager came over and suggested a different sauce and they quickly prepared a new meal for me. The new sauce was perfect and now when I am in the mood for salmon, I ask for it that way. The manager was so kind and went out if his way to make sure we were happy, I was never made to feel like a bother for being dissatisfied. One day we will save room for dessert but with delicious entrees it's a challenge.
