Sweetcorn Is London’s Hottest Restaurant Trend on Instagram Right Now | Eater London

"A traditional, no-nonsense establishment where a visiting Albert Adrià recently opted for straightforward, well-executed dishes rather than any of his signature molecular theatrics, underlining the restaurant’s emphasis on simple things done very well." - George Reynolds

What a wonderful experience! The food was phenomenal with TOP notch service! Our server Rebecca was so kind and knowledgeable. I had the sea bass (changes daily) and it was so delicious! The seafood meat medley was tasty, and the garlic potatoes were unlike anything I’ve had before. I will definitely be back!

While in Ozarks for the weekend we were looking to have few good dinners. Unfortunately, Bentleys is not open on Sunday but they accommodated us with Saturday reservation for 5. All positive reviews are on point. Good vibe, delicious food and outstanding service. Rebecca and her helpers were very knowledgeable and attentive. Her recommendations were great. Salmon special, sea bass, chicken Wellington - all dishes were delicious. All main entries come with salad and extra side. Today’s garlic mash potatoes were really good. Separate word for kids choices: not usual suspects, but delicious kids steak, shrimp - our children loved it. And don’t forget to leave some space for desserts. Triple chocolate cake is off the menu but must try. Carrot cake was my favorite. Overall, if you are in town and want a treat - make a reservation!

We ended up there as a backup plan and so glad we did! Ate at the bar and Kim took great care of us. Such a fun night and good people. They’ll be first on our list on the next visit!

Bentley’s is your classic, old school style eclectic steakhouse and oh boy is it good.. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance with wood trim, stained glass, and candlelit tables. A beautiful patio although personally I’ve not sat out there (yet). The service is absolutely incredible. Servers are very attentive and friendly, they really know their stuff and make every table feel welcomed and special. Ask for Steve, he’s a legend and will make sure you’re well taken care of! Food is of course delicious.. excellent prime rib, escargot are the best I’ve ever had, the salad with house Mayfair dressing is delicious, apps, French onion soup, scallops, etc.. anything you want, they have! Same with desserts.. a huge dessert menu with after dinner drinks and boozy ice cream. I’ve been to pretty much every restaurant at the lake and in this “fine dining/steakhouse” category you aren’t going to find anything better than Bentley’s. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.. prices are still extremely reasonable and you will love your dinner experience at Bentley’s!

What a treasure this place is! My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was certainly a romantic atmosphere. The food was amazing and our server made our experience even more special. I would definitely recommend! Tip, if you want the Beef Wellington, you need to call 3 days ahead.

Google
What a great place. It was busy so I would recommend reservations. This place reminds me of a Wisconsin supper club. The staff is awesome and the food was really good. The chicken Oscar, The filet in the cream sauce, the crab cakes were all outstanding. The Ribeye was just okay. We will go back for sure.

Google
Wonderful meal and service! The staff had to deal with some guests near to us that were complaining about everything. It seems. They handled it all with grace, even when they probably shouldn't have. This meal was a big blessing for me and my mother to share as she's recently had some health scares. Thankful for the time with her in a beautiful place with a wonderful dinner. And even better service.💓

Google
What a fantastic dining experience at Bentley's in the Ozarks! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We came for the steaks, and they did not disappoint – cooked to absolute perfection, every bite was a delight. The seafood also impressed; the butterfly fried shrimp were delicious and perfectly prepared. Don't skip the creamy Caesar house salad; it was a lovely twist on a classic, and all the appetizers we tried were a hit. Beyond the incredible food, the service was truly superb. Our main server was excellent, and the support staff was remarkably efficient and friendly, ensuring our water glasses were always full and dishes cleared promptly. It made for such a smooth and enjoyable meal. If you're in the Ozarks and craving a top-tier steak or seafood experience with impeccable service, Bentley's is a must-visit!

Yelp
The inside is a trip back in time to the 1970s - with thick glass candles covered in netting (they still make those??), and old fashioned wall sconces. I lovingly call this place The Regal Beagle because it looks like some place out of the Three's Company sitcom. All that said, despite the dated interior, I have never had a bad meal. I've always found the staff to be attentive and kind, and it appears they have a lovely patio to dine on - although i have not had the pleasure.. Good place to dine - especially if you enjoy nostalgia from a 70s steakhouse vintage look, but also enjoy decent food.

Yelp
Great meal for our anniversary. Main dishes of salmon was the best and the garlic shrimp was superb. Great wait staff and their welcoming of our anniversary was was fantastic. We for a picture and and a window table was extra special. Thank you. We'll be back. Thank you.

Yelp
We sat at the bar for drinks and appetizers. Our bartender Kim took great care of us and was super friendly! Loved the appetizers! Do yourself a favor and see if Kim is working at the bar.......if she is......sit there!

Yelp
Another great evening last night. The filet was great and the pre split crab legs were perfect. Martini's were excellent as always and don't miss out on Kevin's coconut cream pie. Devin did a great job as our server. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Well first, food was amazing as it always is! Service was omni present with refills and fresh bread. And the restaraunt offers a comfortable classy motif. It's a little older style but it blends their menu offerings and drinks and makes you feel like you're in the right place at the right time. Sorry I didn't take a picture of my desert, apple crisp.. was amazing. And to top it all off, I lost and could not find my phone. Back dining room. Staff and kitchen staff where great going through the areas to ensure it wasn't tossed in laundry with a roll napkin! Ended up falling out in my car and getting stuck in the NONO spot. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone looking to eat an amazing dinner at a decent price in a very nice quiet ambience.

Yelp
I was on vac at the lake ozark in mo and had dinner here. I get here once a year and always have dinner here. It's a high end restaurant and great food , I had the prime rib and it was delicious. Cooked just right . The ambiance is very nice. Our waiter, Stephen was very nice and helpful. There is a great view of the lake .

Yelp
Updating review. Prime rib is the best - 5 star Bar - mixed drinks - 5 star Desert - carrot cake - 5 star Service - great waiter and support - 5 star Pricey...a bit, but still on the reasonable side. This restaurant is a top 5 at the Lake!

Paul D.

Yelp
We ordered pre-dinner drinks at the bar, and when I asked for an Old Fashioned, out came a packet of sugar, maraschino cherries (not Luxardo), and a splash of club soda on top. That was my first sign things weren't going to go well. The overall vibe is "old school" higher-end restaurant, but sadly, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. I don't mind paying for good food, so I went with the prime rib. It wasn't terrible, but I've never had one where half the weight was bone. I ordered medium rare--it came out well done. The horseradish sauce was watery and flavorless, and the baked potato tasted like it came straight from the microwave. The service, however, was the greatest part of our experience--friendly, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save the overall meal. Not sure what the hype is all about, but we won't be back. We'll stick with our favorites like Baxters, 1932 Reserve, or--even believe it or not--Tire Biters for a much better meal.

Yelp
Loved everything from atmosphere to service to, of course, food. Started with half dozen very plump oysters. Then I had their famous prime rib- the 12 Oz cut - medium rare and it was perfect. Served with salad with delicious blue cheese dressing. I added the blue cheese crumbles by that was too much. M had the 8oz filet which was delicious - better than my prime rib! Baked potatoes were perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the best place at LOZ to have Prime Rib! PERIOD Top notch service! JUST GO!
google avatar

Steven A.

Yelp
Outside this place looks like an old Steak n Ale...if you remember those, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Inside...well, it looks like a Steak n Ale too!! Absolutely loved the nostalgia. Staff greeted and seated us immediately at 5pm when it opened on a Tuesday. Waitress provided us a rundown of the specials (excellent!) and made some recommendations. We ordered 2 prime ribs and my son ordered a shrimp plate. The prime ribs were huge cuts with the rib bone in, and were cooked perfectly medium rare. Salads and sides (baked potato-me and broccoli-wife) came with. Food was really good, service and personality of all staff is what made this visit outstanding. First time visiting and will definitely go here again if we return in the future. Location is a little tricky to find, it's on a curve, and the signage isn't the best...but don't let that deter you. This is a great place to have a nice dinner!

Yelp
Nice to start the season at Bentleys. Always great food and service. Our main stay for about 25 years.
google avatar

Kacie S.

Yelp
Bentleys restaurant holds the spot as my favorite steakhouse in the lake of the Ozarks. The low-lit ambiance has such a nice vibe. My favorites from the menu were the french onion soup and prime rib! My boyfriend got the ribeye and lobster tails and loved it! Definitely will go back next time i'm in the area again.

Deb R.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. Old school steakhouse at its best. Steaks, prime rib and coconut pie for dessert. What could be better?
google avatar

Jimmy N.

Yelp
This place should receive a Michelin star. Best escargot I've ever had, it is better than Le Fou Frog in Kansas City. The prime rib is very flavorful and the crabs were very fresh. The service level here is beyond what is expected, proper steakhouse service level. I'm a fan and will mark this to be my favorite restaurant in the lake of the Ozarks. Bonus, best sunset view.

Yelp
The menu offers many tempting selections. The pork shank was fabulous. The view was outstanding. The service was so, so. Very slow and our waitress seemed a bit confused at times. We will be going back again. Making sure we have a different server.

Rich S.

Yelp
We hoped to eat on the patio but owner said not enough staff for both dinning room & patio. Bummer. Dinning room very old style but packed with dinners. Food was excellent with good sized portions, my date & I had salmon & waitress asked if we wanted it medium or well done. We ordered medium & fish as well as sides were great, Good service & food equal very enjoyable evening.

Kathy K.

Yelp
Took my hubby for his birthday to Bentley's. As always, the meal was without a doubt amazing. The service was fantastic, friendly, and so attentive. Prime Rib, my husband got, was huge. He got the smaller one and was glad he didn't order the huge one, as it was more than you could eat. The meat was a great cut with very little waste for prime rib cooked as he likes it, blue rare. Their French onion soup is so delicious. If you want a nice, relaxing meal, you can bet it will be the best here.
google avatar

Dawn R.

Yelp
Food was OK. Seasoning would have went a long way. Our waitress was not very friendly. The best part of our night was watching the staff try to catch a chipmunk that got into the restaurant

Glenn L.

Yelp
Always a standard at the lake of the quality food prepared well with the service doing an absolute wonderful job

Paula W.

Yelp
We found this restaurant on yelp and I'm glad we tried it. Our waiter was very attentive and gave great recommendations. We had the best French Onion soup that I've ever day. So thick and cheesey and flavorful. Then the salad was just enough and fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection bursting with flavor. The rolls were hot and yummy and the Yukon POTATOES-the BEST! The patio was closed for the night and the indoor restaurant is a little dark, but it set the mood. I highly recommend!

Kyle M.

Yelp
We had a very good experience! We had a great meal and experience at Bentley's! We've eaten at most all of the steakhouses around the lake area over many years, but for some reason had not yet been to Bentley's. Well we tried for New Year's Eve, but couldn't get in. Our server was great, and the cadence of everything was perfect. Started with the French Onion Soup and it was the best I have ever had by far. I wanted another bowl for desert, but was just too full. I started to order the Clam Chowder instead, and our server more/less steered me to the Onion, which I appreciated very much after my first bite. I had the Prime Rib, wife and son had the Fillet. All were good. I've certainly had better Prime Rib, but it was good. Also one of the best salads I've had. They ask if you want Blue Cheese crumples which I'm all about, and my gosh it was good! Baked potato also great. I like the way our server guided us in ordering the appetizers/soup, and then came back at the right moment to order our meal. Everything was served promptly and timely. Didn't overlap and we didn't have to wait long for each course. Also appreciate very much that one side and a salad is included with your steak price!!!! Let me say again how much I appreciate that at a great Steak House! This was actually a deciding factor in choosing Bentley's after browsing about three different Steak establishment's menus. We still ended up spending over $200 for the three of us with tip, but competitive for what you get here compared to some others in the area. This is my new favorite Steak House at the lake! We will be back!

Allie H.

Yelp
I love the Romanesque/Early Gothic art style of the place. The food is amazing and the workers are nice.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
My favorite place at the lake. If you're from St Louis it has a similar old school feel like Al's. Though being known for steaks the chicken picatta and French onion soup are stand outs. However my favorite is the fact I can get bordelaise AND bernaise sauces on the side. Bill and team are great hosts and the service is always impeccable. Also the outdoor patio and fireplace is fantastic.

Mark S.

Yelp
It doesn't look like it been remodeled since the 70s, but it looked clean. I don't mean this in a bad way...I think that's the vibe they want to have. The service was outstanding. The filets and the scampi were wonderful. The scampi had bread crumbs and cheese and man they were good. The sea bass was awesome as well. Deserts included cheese cake and apple crisps, both were great. Great dining experience. We've gone to a lot of high end steak places and this was better than all of them. Not crazy expensive, 260 before tip with 4 people.
google avatar

Laurie W.

Yelp
Oysters were exceptionally delicious, scallops were delicious and their prime rib was cooked to perfection! The staff from bartender, waitress and table service were exceptional. The atmosphere was cozy, clean and extremely well kept. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Gary R.

Yelp
Was one of the coolest and best places I've ever eaten in my life. They were super accommodating and the service was amazing. And the atmosphere was beyond phenomenal and Merrill was an amazing waiter.!!!!!!!! and the food was amazing!!!!!
google avatar

Jen D.

Yelp
Quickly becoming our favorite steak at the lake! I love the nostalgic charm inside - if you time it right the sun sets against the stained glass windows. The food is so good! I do wish the wine selection was larger.

Chris D.

Yelp
Always a dinner to look forward to. Great food, great service, and a beautiful view of the lake.
google avatar

Lazaros S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Excellent service and a beautiful "fine dining" atmosphere.. Bentley's offers excellent pricing compared to other similar restaurants at the lake. Food is incredible, good prime rib and mouth-watering appetizers make this one of my favorite places at the lake! If you're in the mood for a nice experience, that old school steakhouse vibe, good food/drinks and professional service, this is your spot!
google avatar

maddie f.

Yelp
The service is amazing. I have tried most steak restaurants at the lake and the steak here is the best I've had hands down! I get the filet rolled in cracked pepper with the béarnaise sauce! Incredible.

Barb M.

Yelp
It was great. The service was outstanding and the view from the patio is beautiful. We ate on the patio and would do that again for sure Our dinner was delicious!

Maureen P.

Yelp
We went to Bentleys last night. My husband ordered the prime rib and said it was tough and he did not enjoy it. I ordered the ribeye. I struggled to cut through it and it was tough to chew. For the price point on both of these choices, Bentley should produce a better cut of meat. The sides and salad were the best part of the meal. The service was good and friendly, but next time we are in the mood for prime rib or ribeye, we'll stay home and make it ourselves. I think we do a better job. The restaurant is nice inside overall with a nice ambiance, but we were there for the food and were just disappointed.

Deanna L.

Yelp
Very good food, and great service! There were six of us with a reservation, and got right in. We had a wonderful waitress named Olivia. We all ordered steaks, and they were cooked perfectly and seasoned well! The wine was also good! As well as the martinis! The ambience is cozy and amazing.
google avatar

Tina R.

Yelp
Delicious! A must have each time we come to the Lake. The Prime rib is the best we have ever had. The French Onion Steak is also amazing. The views from the patio is stunning during sunset. We love it here!
google avatar

Layla E.

Yelp
The "pub" seating area is really great. It looks like it would be fun to have drinks and an appetizer, it has a great vibe and feel. The food is ok if you have a food sensitivities or allergies it's a bit challenging to eat here. Overall the food our meal it was "ok". My husbands fish was undercooked. The items from the bar were fine but not outstanding. Bentley's is an institution here but for our tastes things are a little dated. This review is really a matter of personal tastes because a lot of people really love this restaurant. You can have a nice meal: with good service here.
google avatar

Debra J.

Yelp
We really enjoyed dinner at Bentley's last Friday night. Excellent steaks. Good service.
google avatar

Larry P.

Yelp
Went there on a Friday night and we were treated like royalty. Service was fantastic but the food was even better. My wife had ordered the beef tips and I had ordered the fillet. They were both cooked to perfection. if I didn't live three hours from here, I would make this a weekly occurrence of eating at this establishment. I was told they been in business 50 years and it shows they know what they're doing.. I highly recommend this restaurant....

Patrick Y.

Yelp
The food was okay, a little shabby for the price I had the K.C. strip medium. The steak had good tenderness, however it was absolutely tasteless. I have never had to put so much salt and pepper on a steak. My wife had the pecan encrusted Salmon. She said it was amazing. It was cooked perfect, very tender, and sweet. It was not overboard on the pecan flavor. The sides: I had the garlic roasted potatoes and they were good, however three small potatoes for a side doesn't help constitute the price. This place doesn't really hold a candle, to real large city steak house. The server was friendly, however, she disappeared after the food was served and only returned once before she brought the check. The building was unique, with an an old English design. It appeared to be clean and well kept. The plus side is they actually are one of the few restaurants left that have linen table clothes.
google avatar

Lynda H.

Yelp
The food is excellent in this well known restaurant. Eat where the locals go. This is an upscale family restaurant for well behaved children, and adults. The servers are excellent. The ambiance is old England with white tablecloths and real napkins. The patio is a beautiful place to have a cocktail, overlooking Lake Ozark.
google avatar

Brett H.

Yelp
This place has been a staple at the Lake for years. The menu is outdated and could use some updating along with the decor. Food is consistent and the server was great at his job. You don't hear that much anymore. Still a good option for a nice sit down meal.

Warren H.

Yelp
Best food and service in the Lake of the Ozarks area. They feature their Prime Rib but no entree will disappoint. I recommend Bentley's - it's our go-to place.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places to go for prime rib or steak. It is pricey so for a couple you're not getting out of there for less that $150 with a couple drinks.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
I have been to Bentley's several times and the service is outstanding and the food is delicious. I can't wait for my next great meal there
google avatar

Madison S.

Yelp
This is definitely my favorite restaurant at the lake. I have never had a bad meal there! The Scallops on the shell and the escargot are the best appetizers. You can't go wrong with the Mayfair salad dressing either. My go to order is the Scallops Newberg, rich dish but wonderful. Stephen or Kevin will always get your order done right! They are amazing servers who try to make sure you are well taken care of. The bartender Kim always makes fantastic drinks. The Nutty Monk is a personal favorite after dinner drink. Be sure to call in for a reservation in order to not have a super long wait on those busy nights! Kevin also makes amazing desserts but the best is the homemade Strawberry pie. Talk about the best pie ever! But you have to call in advanced and order that when strawberries are in season! The patio also has a wonderful view and sometimes the sunset is perfect! Highly recommend for date nights or family get togethers!
google avatar

Liz T.

Yelp
Super kitschy place. Walked in and loved the dark paneled walls and stained glass windows. Very old school in the best way. Service was top notch. Wine list was ok- not the highest end wines but plenty of reasonable choices. We had the prime rib and king crab legs. Both were really good. Salad and side was included. We chose their special salad of the night with tomatoes and blue cheese. A bit heavy handed with the blue cheese and the dressing. Our salads were drowned so next time I would ask for dressing on the side for sure. Service was great though- this type of service is hard to find nowadays and we really appreciated feeling taken care of. Regarding Covid - all staff wore masks and gloves per the state guidelines. After going to several places in the area this was the only one that seemed to abide by the state rules in place currently so kudos for that and trying to keep everyone safe.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
We go to Bentley's every summer and always enjoy the delicious prime rib. Dependably good servic.

Pam B.

Yelp
Our last visit was disappointing, we had enjoyed Bentleys previously. French onion soup always wonderful but prime rib was cool, and the prime meat was like a round steak, not at all prime rib. Waiter was rather short with us, to our surprise, it was my husbands birthday he asked what do you have for birthdays and his comment was. " anything you want to buy" really? The tables around us seemed to have much better service. So we won't be back, we used to love it there. Not happy!
google avatar

Patti B.

Yelp
Our meal was delicious and service spectacular! Steve and the bus staff were excellent, Steve's attention to detail was exemplary!
