How to Do Your Holiday Shopping at an East Asian Supermarket | Eater

"The Dorbo Neko two-tied bento box from the Kyoto-based shop is described in detail: it "includes one food compartment with an insert to separate mains and sides, while the lid features a silicone gasket to securely fasten the lid." The box is plastic — "so dishwasher and microwave safe" — but a "hand-sanded design detail on the side adds texture to mimic the look of charcoal." The writer suggests pairing it with wooden chopsticks and spoons; overall it’s presented as an easy upgrade that can make everyday desk lunches feel better. — EDJ" - Erin DeJesus

Online purchase. They have a wide range of cute bentos and accessories. Really felt like buying everything! They are fast in meeting the logistic, I received my purchase quickly even though it was a oversea purchase. They are responsive in emails and any questions that you have. Very friendly too. Overall, a nice experience buying with them.

This shop has everything that I needed and more. The bentos are beautiful, and the designs are great, many Japanese themed bentos here. Whether you’re buying a children’s bento box or you’re looking for a cool design that fits in your needs, this is THE place to go!!! The prices are very reasonable, and the customer service is very good.

For a shop that seems to pride itself on working with local craftsmen, the owner seems to be a bit of a contemptuous gatekeeper when actually contacted by them. Maybe he doesn't like working with local crafters, it's difficult to say because he refuses to respond to inquiries. Oh well. Another commenter said this is a shop more for foreign tourists than Japanese, and I can understand why now. What a shame. It's a small community, and I know where not to take my business now.

The shop isn't huge but they have a variety of bento boxes that range from being cute and colorful to muted and serious. I bought a bento box here along with a small pouch to carry it in and was very pleased with my purchase. The shop attendant here was very helpful and was able to give me some suggestions on bentos that I should look at when I asked her for advice. I definitely recommend coming here if you're thinking of buying a bento.

Cute, stylish and functional. Bento box shop + other related items. All stylish, all usable, some.very kawai. I got one to use, but it's a great gift option too. Not cheap, you'll get cheaper elsewhere. These are made we'll, and look good. Check it out!

Not a huge selection, but what they do have seems to be pretty high quality and not horribly expensive. The shopkeeper lady was very helpful and kind. Overall, worth a trip if you want to get yourself a nice bento box.
