"Step back in time and immerse yourself in the room’s vintage circa 1990s decor and memorabilia. The family business has been in operation since 2015 and the kitchen is helmed by mum. The extensive menu, which covers all of Vietnam, might seem overwhelming, but rest assured that all the sharing plates are authentic, hearty and comforting. When unsure, check out the section known as ‘mum’s favourites’, for items like fried garlic prawn, or stir-fried morning glory with garlic." - Michelin Inspector

Great Vietnamese dishes. Very tasty. Fusion style, with garlic and lemongrass ingredients. We ordered tofu, eggplant and fish dishes. They were very tasty. The place is clean and has nice atmosphere. Give it a try.

Nice food and wonderful atmosphere! There so many interesting details in interior, including old maps. If you like history, you definitely should visit it. I also admired food. It was the first time when I tried soup with Tonkin jasmine, I really liked it, tastes like a soup with vegetables from my granny’s dacha in Russia! Cobia was also good. And I really liked fried tofu with pepper, it was soo delicious

Very cool restaurant with cozy interior and nice service. We had to wait a bit on a bench but only a minute or so. We’ve just picked a random restaurant next to our hotel and didn’t know it got the Michelin star. And to be honest, it wasn’t any special to me. Despite the fact they added a ton of garlic everywhere, the dishes in this restaurant I knew from other places and from eating at Vietnamese homes weren’t that aromatic. It’s good but IMHO don’t expect anything above average.

Bếp Hên in Da Nang offers a delightful culinary experience, blending authentic Vietnamese flavors with a nostalgic ambiance. Stuffed Eggplant: This dish features tender eggplant filled with savory minced pork, delivering a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Fried Garlic Prawns: A standout from the 'mum’s favourites' section, these prawns are crispy on the outside and succulent inside, infused with aromatic garlic. Lemongrass Chicken: The chicken is marinated in lemongrass, offering a zesty and fragrant profile that complements the meat's tenderness. Situated at 47 Lê Hồng Phong Street in Da Nang's Hai Chau District, Bếp Hên is a family-run establishment since 2015. The restaurant's interior is adorned with vintage 1990s decor and memorabilia, creating a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere that transports diners back in time. Price Range Bếp Hên offers a budget-friendly dining experience, with dishes typically priced between $1 and $8 USD. This affordability, combined with generous portions, makes it an excellent choice for both locals and tourists seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine without breaking the bank. While Bếp Hên does not hold a Michelin star, it is recognized in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Vietnam for its good cooking. The guide highlights the restaurant's authentic, hearty, and comforting dishes, as well as its extensive menu that covers various regions of Vietnam. BẾP HÊN is Da Nang’s answer to what comfort food should be—Michelin Select–awarded and set in a charming home-turned-restaurant on bustling Lê Hồng Phong. Step inside and you’re greeted by potted plants, vintage tile, and the warmth of a Vietnamese family kitchen. The menu is pure nostalgia, focused on Central Vietnamese staples and daily specials. Don’t miss the cơm hến (baby clam rice)—savory, aromatic, topped with roasted peanuts and crispy shallots—or the canh chua cá (tamarind fish soup) that’s equal parts tangy, spicy, and soul-soothing. The sautéed morning glory, grilled river fish, and caramelized pork belly all shine with honest flavors and grandma-level care. Dishes arrive family-style and are meant to be shared, served with local rice, fish sauce, and piles of fresh herbs. Prices are easy on the wallet—most mains are just $3–$7 USD. Friendly staff are quick with suggestions and happy to explain any dish. It’s a favorite for both locals and food-focused travelers, so expect a buzz of conversation and laughter. • Vibe: Homey, nostalgic, casual local dining • Price: $ (most dishes ~$3–$7 USD) • Must-try: Baby clam rice (cơm hến), caramelized pork belly, canh chua cá • Accolades: 2024 & 2025 Michelin Select, beloved local institution ___ BẾP HÊN 47 Lê Hồng Phong, Phước Ninh, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng #HyperrrLocal #BEPHEN #DaNangEats #michelinselected #VietnameseHomeCooking #WhereToEatDaNang #ComfortFood #VietnameseCuisine #FoodInDaNang

Great place, good food. A little stuffy with a big crowd but not really a problem if you are willing to squeeze. The caramelised pork is the best dish.

Cool vibes but food was just ok. Caramelized pork was a bit sweet, fried frog with lemongrass was good, fried morning glory didn't have much flavor.
