"Step back in time and immerse yourself in the room’s vintage circa 1990s decor and memorabilia. The family business has been in operation since 2015 and the kitchen is helmed by mum. The extensive menu, which covers all of Vietnam, might seem overwhelming, but rest assured that all the sharing plates are authentic, hearty and comforting. When unsure, check out the section known as ‘mum’s favourites’, for items like fried garlic prawn, or stir-fried morning glory with garlic." - Michelin Inspector

Tucked on a quiet city street, Bếp Hên feels like a warm Vietnamese kitchen brought into a modern, intimate dining room. Soft lighting, wood accents, and the gentle clatter from the open line set a relaxed, confident tone the moment you sit down. The Food Comforting and precise. Flavors are clean and balanced, with fresh herbs, bright acidity, and just enough richness to keep each bite satisfying. Sauces taste handcrafted, textures land in harmony, and plates arrive thoughtfully paced. It reads as home cooking elevated, not overworked. Service & Atmosphere Calm, attentive, and welcoming. The team moves with quiet efficiency, happy to offer suggestions or small adjustments. The room hums without getting loud, making it as good for a date night as it is for a lingering dinner with friends. More Details • Vegetarian options: A handful of meat-free choices; easy to tailor a simple vegetable-forward meal if you ask. • Dietary restrictions: Fish sauce, shellfish, soy, and peanuts are common; staff can guide substitutions and spice levels. • Parking: Street and curbside nearby; scooters and ride-hails are easiest during dinner hours. • Kid-friendliness: Casual and relaxed; earlier seatings work well for families. • Wheelchair accessibility: Ground-level entry; space can feel tight at peak times, but staff are quick to help. Final Take Bếp Hên delivers the kind of cooking you remember — honest, balanced, and quietly refined. Five stars for flavor, pacing, and a room that feels instantly comfortable.

One of the best meals we had on our trip. We came a bit later ~7.30pm and were seated immediately. The food also came out really quickly! All the dishes we orderes (potato leaf soup, stirfried morning glory, braised pork, fried tofu with lemongrass) were delicious.

Great Vietnamese dishes. Very tasty. Fusion style, with garlic and lemongrass ingredients. We ordered tofu, eggplant and fish dishes. They were very tasty. The place is clean and has nice atmosphere. Give it a try.

Average food in my opinion. Would have expected more from a Michelin recommended place. But great ambience , good music and nice staff.

Nice food and wonderful atmosphere! There so many interesting details in interior, including old maps. If you like history, you definitely should visit it. I also admired food. It was the first time when I tried soup with Tonkin jasmine, I really liked it, tastes like a soup with vegetables from my granny’s dacha in Russia! Cobia was also good. And I really liked fried tofu with pepper, it was soo delicious

Very cool restaurant with cozy interior and nice service. We had to wait a bit on a bench but only a minute or so. We’ve just picked a random restaurant next to our hotel and didn’t know it got the Michelin star. And to be honest, it wasn’t any special to me. Despite the fact they added a ton of garlic everywhere, the dishes in this restaurant I knew from other places and from eating at Vietnamese homes weren’t that aromatic. It’s good but IMHO don’t expect anything above average.

This was honestly the best restaurant we tried in Da Nang! Every dish was flavorful and freshly prepared, and the quality really stood out compared to other places we visited. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the dining experience even better. If you’re in Da Nang and want a truly memorable meal, this is the place to go!
