The 16 Best Vegetarian Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"Berenjak serves Iranian mazeh and kebabs in a corridor-like space on Soho’s Romilly Street. Order the taftoon—clay tanoor-baked flatbread—and swipe through coal-cooked aubergine dips, goats’ curd with Persian shallots, and black chickpea hummus. The kebab section of the menu is a no-go for vegetarians, but the great corn on the cob and pickled cauliflower means there’s plenty to pick from in the sofreh section." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, jake missing

The 17 Best Restaurants In London Bridge

"Berenjak is a loud, busy Persian restaurant by Borough Market where walk-ins are turned away with a polite, “Tonight? It’ll be a couple of hours”. People jostle over lamb rump kebabs and squeeze into seats next to open cabinets stuffed with glassware. But the best seats are at the counter where you can watch bread get tossed on the grill in front of you. Although the bill can quickly stack up, the best dishes aren’t the pricier, showy platters of meat. They’re baked flatbreads, which should be dipped in tangy mast o musir and smoky mirza ghasemi." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing, daisy meager, heidi lauth beasley

Berenjak Borough - Review - London Bridge - London - The Infatuation

"Berenjak is a loud, busy Persian restaurant by Borough Market where walk-ins are turned away with a polite, “Tonight? It’ll be a couple of hours.” The space is crammed with people jostling over lamb rump kebabs, squeezing into seats next to open cabinets stuffed with glassware, and most of the exposed brick walls are covered with artworks. The best seats are at the counter where you can enjoy the buzzy atmosphere and watch bread get tossed on the grill in front of you. In short, don’t expect a quiet night at Berenjak. It’s for times when you want a sensory overload and strong negronis. Although the bill can quickly stack up, the best dishes aren’t the pricier, showy platters of meat, they’re the baked flatbreads for dipping in tangy mast o musir and smoky mirza ghasemi. photo credit: Berenjak" - Sinéad Cranna

We had the set menu and it was so good! Aubergine mezzeh was light and tangy. Hummus was rich and husky. Perfect combo! Chicken and lamb for main. Old fashioned and ice cream for dessert. Highly recommend!

Amazing food! Lovely service! We had the lunch set menu £35pp so my friend and I ordered different items so we can experience some of their food. The place was a tad narrow but very homey and authentic. We were seated on the counter seat so we had a nice view of food preparation. We had taftoon (which was soft and fluffy), sangak ( a bit tough to be honest), their famous hummus (I’m sorry but I feel confused with the taste - I still prefer the regular hummus), black truffle olivieh (this is a must order!), koobideh kabab (minced lamb shoulder, super tender and delicious) and jujeh kabab (moist and well-seasoned), shirazi (tomato and cucumber chop salad - refreshing and cuts down the greasy taste) and house rice. I had a glass of red wine and my friend had this coffee rum drink that was so strong. We actually ordered their fried potatoes which didn’t arrive but it’s okay. The staff apologised and gave as Persian tea on the house which was a nice ending to a scrumptious meal. Our total bill was £101. We were so full and we didn’t finish it so we had the leftovers for takeaway ◡̈

Firstly, I’ll start off by saying that the service at Berenjak was fantastic , all the food came out within good time and staff were all friendly. Unfortunately, I wanted to love the food but I just didn’t and neither did my friends. What we did enjoy was the black truffle oliveh, kashke bademoon, the saffron rice and potatoes but we did not really like the lamb stew and the kebab which were supposed to be the most important part of our meal.

It’s not often you get to try the best version of a type of food, but today was one of those days. Berenjak lived up to expectations and was the best Persian food I’ve ever had! Service was great. Overall amazing experience.

Honestly the best Iranian restaurant I’ve been to in London! The vibe and decor are amazing, staff super friendly and helpful. The koobideh was incredible, rice perfectly cooked, everything was just spot on. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back!

Awesome Persian fusion restaurant!! We loved the vibes, the service and most importantly the bold flavors. Charlie was a superb host for the evening. Their mezze were out of the world and the main course with their saffron crispy rice was to die for.

Everything was amazing, a real pleasure trying for the first time this restaurant. We Enjoyed the food, just a as a matter of personal taste, the aubergine soup tasted too much of curry, but the rest was amazing. Good service as well the staff was very polite. Highly recommended

I had an incredible meal at Berenjak. The dips were some of the best I’ve ever had – rich, smoky, and full of flavour – perfect with their warm, fresh bread. The kebabs were cooked beautifully, juicy and perfectly spiced. I went for The Fest set menu, which was the best choice: a generous feast that let me try a bit of everything, from the starters to the mains, all perfectly balanced and satisfying. The atmosphere is lively and cosy, and the service was warm and attentive. A true gem in borough market – can’t wait to return.
