Had a lovely experience at Berenjak, mainly thanks to the outstanding service and beautiful atmosphere. The Moroccan and Lebanese ladies at the front were warm and welcoming, and our server Irlando was attentive and professional throughout.
We were three people and ordered three starters: Kashk e Bademjoon, which is a coal-cooked aubergine with whey, walnuts, dried mint, and onions, along with hummus and black truffle Olivieh. For mains, we had the Koobideh Kebab, Tikkeh Masti Kebab, and Chelow Kebab Chenjeh. I also tried the Laban drink.
While the food was good, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. We paid around 1,200 dirhams for three starters and three mains, which feels overpriced considering I’ve had similar Iranian cuisine elsewhere for much less. That said, the service and ambiance were exceptional, which made the visit enjoyable overall. Worth trying once for the experience, but not something I’d return to regularly at that price point.
