Bergama Sofrasi

Everything is so tasty there, maybe the best food I had had during my one-week trip. The building is a bit old and the chairs and tables, too but I didn’t have the feeling that it might be dirty. Prices were a bit high but that was expected because it’s close to the famous historic site (Acropolis).

Great restaurant! You should definitely try the Bergama special (eggplants and tomatoes), it’s great.

Excellent food for a fair price, friendly staff! We got an excellent goulash, two kinds of rice, bean-stew , 4 drinks, joghurt and tea for around 70 lira alltogehter. Place has nice tables on the outside on a call street, so try to get a seat outside. Staff is very friendly and helps you along. There is no menu, but they will show you the food directly on the counter, they have changing daily menues. Enjoy!

This is very good authentic turkish food in a local setting. The staff speak English well enough to get by. Make sure you have the Bergama specialty (Çığırtma) which is eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and garlic. The kofte is also excellent in this place. The prices are competitive for this style of restaurant. Very good experience and you see lots of locals there on a sunday specially.

Great lunch, staff speaks English what makes ordering much easier. 420tl for 3 portions and drinks was very reasonable as well
