Berggasthof Pflegersee

Typical German restaurant, best location with magnificent view to the mountains and lake, the food was impeccable done, best strudel of all! Price is reasonable for the high quality, we will definitely come back. We had the pleasure to come back on Friday night and taste the delicious cheese and meat fondue, but this requires previous reserve, it is amazing!!

My husband and I stopped there on a cold, snowy day. The place is nicely decorated in the Bavarian theme, the waitress was so friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!! Will definitely return!

Hidden gem that you can drive or hike to - i would suggest hiking! Restaurant is right on the lake which offers a very peaceful meal. Beers, cocktails, and soft drinks are available. The salad is a great portion size, even for 2. Pictured is the Kasespatzl and salad. The Kasespatzl is similar to a mac and cheese, with local mountain cheeses. A nice warm treat on a mid winter day. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also dog friendly so you can take your four legged friend up for a hike!

The Berggasthof Pflegersee is a great place for having a nice meal or dessert. Most of the people drive in but some like us walked in some 50minutes from the Windbeutelalm until the the Berggasthof Pflegersee. It is a easy walk and offers wonderful landscape. At the end one gets rewarded twice. First the beautiful view over the the small pond or lake with the Berggasthof Pflegersee at the upped end. Definitely a great view. The second reward is the meal. We have ordered the famous Kaiserschmarrn and it got served in the pan. Ohhhh man, what a delight! Such a well prepared and presented dessert. It taste was just perfect in my eyes. Crisp outside, soft inside, not too sweet.... Just incredibile delicious 😋 The young staff was easy, relax, cool and extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing to improve! Just keep attitude and cuisine! This place deserves my full recommendation! Be aware, one might get dependant from this delicious Kaiserschmarrn 😋 A reservation on the terrace during sunny days is recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. Usually there's a trade off between location/view vs quality of food. Here, everything is perfect, kitchen is more like what you expect from a good restaurant in a metropolis. But here you have it with such a view - sitting in the sun 😎👍

Beautiful view! Adorable restaurant. The staff was very helpful and the food was great! They did not have an English menu.
