The staff is so friendly and very service minded. They worked with us to create our own menu for a special occasion. On the day of the event, their service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and it was a beautiful night!

Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Amazing views. Delicious food. Family friendly. Great place to relax and enjoy all of the above. Highly recommended! (Ignore the 1 stars from hikers - hotel has a strict policy of serving only hotel guests).

The view when you arrive at this berg hotel takes your breath away! We loved our two night stay here. The Christmas decorations are awesome, and staff are warm and friendly. The breakfast, soup pot, and dinner (not included but well worth it) are all delicious. It was very nice that they had menus in English. Our room was large, open, and nicely decorated. It was the perfect spot to get in the Christmas spirit, and I hope to bring my family there one day. Also has easy access to hiking and good spa facilities. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and loved it. It is a cozy winter retreat with lots of charm and friendly staff. We asked for hiking recommendations, and they provided us a map and their suggestions. Our room was warm and spacious. The bed was comfortable and there were thoughtful additions to the room, like candles and a dog bowl and treats. The breakfast buffet and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. I had a high-quality massage at the spa and enjoyed the sauna and heated pool. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic weekend getaway.

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Little hard to find but well worth the effort. Staff made you feel at home (and the dogs). Rooms like a small suite, kitchenette and sitting area...mine had a balcony view of the mountains. Loved the fire place room. ||||Food was spectacular. Wait staff were excellent.||||I would have liked to stay longer and enjoy the spa and walking trails. ||||If you want to get away, this is the place.

My parents have been staying in the Schlossanger Alp for the past decade. They have been raving about the the scenery, the hospitality and the fantastic food ever since they first visited. Finally, my husband and I had the opportunity to experience it first hand over the last weekend - what a great place to stay! It's just plain wonderful... Unfortunately, I can't summarize the beauty and serenity of the place in a few words - just read the other raving reviews! And as everyone else before me, I will definitely be back!

I have been trying to remember the name of this little gem ever since we stayed here almost 8 years ago. I would ask any German that I met and I was constantly trying to google what I thought the name was. I never could find it until I stumbled across an old picture with the name of the hotel just now. We arrived late at night after a drive from Frankfurt and could barely find it. I'm sure because we were pronouncing it wrong. Anyway... It was so charming. The rooms were just fine, but what is forever in my memory is the food! The restaurant for dinner was absolutely amazing. I remember a jar of duck confit that was on the table as butter would be for your bread. It was to die for! We were only there for one night and we want to go back just to eat another meal. I loved this place and feel like I hit the lottery today, because now I know the name and I can go back one day!!! (I had to select travel in June 2017, it was really 8 years ago)
