"This group-friendly, Korean American restaurant features a big menu that could satisfy almost every member of your dining party. Breakfast fanatics will enjoy the Korean-inflected breakfast dishes, such as the bulgogi scramble or the Korean.F.C. Benedict with Korean fried chicken and gochujang hollandaise. Others, meanwhile, will enjoy the BSC army stew or the spicy seafood dolsot made with a mix of mussels, shrimp, scallops, and calamari for a warming meal. If dining al fresco is on your checklist of must-haves, there’s a nice patio out back with heaters to enjoy some fresh air alongside your dishes, plus a sturdy menu of beers and cocktails to order from." - Dianne de Guzman

We came here for a nice family breakfast when we were visiting the area. The food was amazing, service was great, large screens showing sports- was happy I was able to catch the end of a Euro24 game I was following. The atmosphere was vibrant, the place was busy but service was fast and efficient. Parking was a little tricky but as we came on a Saturday we were able to grab a spot on the street nearby, and paid for 90min which was more than adequate for our breakfast visit. Recommend checking this place out if you happen to be in the area.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Definitely a lot of younger people especially since it’s a college town. Be aware no substitutions are accepted on weekends or holidays since they are pretty busy. They do have a limited kids menu that even my picky eater enjoyed. Didn’t get a chance to try the millionaires bacon but they were able to cook my kid’s bacon just to his liking (extra soft). The Korean fried chicken was TO DIE FOR. It was juicy and moist on the inside (even the white meat) while has a crisp crunch that wasn’t oily at all outside. The pickles that paired the spicy pork sandwich were crunchy and sour so it fit well to cleanse your palate after eating a mammoth sandwich. The eggs Benedict was easily one of my top 5 eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. The pairing of sliced fried chicken under the gogujang hollandaise was perfect. Next time, I’ll definitely need to try more and get the ube latte (or dirty ube latte!) I got the passion fruit unsweetened ice tea which I wish had refills because it was so good! Can’t wait to come back.

Immersive and unassuming from the outside. Drop in and be swept away with delicacies from blueberry stuffed French toast to amazing breakfasts to rival any 5 star restaurant. Highly recommend the crab and eggs Benedict with wasabi hollandaise! Simply Dope!

Google
Came for dinner. The fried chicken was awesome. We had a table by the window and we enjoyed being able to see the people traffic outside. Overall it was a good experience. Will have to come back for the brunch.

Google
Always our goto on gamedays in Berkeley! Vegan breakfast scramble and bottomless mimosas for $24 is a no brainer. We also like the Benedict’s! Tasted the absolute best pancake I’ve ever had! Service is alway great and this place is very popular on weekend mornings so depending on the time, you could have a bit of a wait

Google
Eggs were (unintentionally) undercooked and smelled like fish. Service was decent. Vibe was decent. A bit loud, but otherwise pleasant. The brussel hash was okay. The poached eggs on it were good, but the dish was overall unremarkable. The fried French toast was mediocre. Doesn't really taste or look like French toast. Cappuccino was also mediocre, didn't bother finishing it. Side note, the bathroom was very clean and smelled nice.

Unique food in a comfy casual place right by Cal campus. We came by on Sunday before noon to join the wait-list. We were seated in about 25 minutes. Along the sides of the restaurant are tables with benches and cushions, and luckily we got one of these tables. We ordered the pimped up Ramyun and dutch pancake. The waitress mentioned the dutch pancake takes about 20 minutes to prepare which was fine. What's interesting is, the Ramyun took 20 minutes to arrive, which I attribute to a backed up kitchen. Looking around at the parties who were seated moments before us, they didn't have their food yet either. The pancake came after 30 minutes and it was beyond delicious! I loved the crispy edges with the soft moist bottom. All the toppings went well with the pancake and it all went down our throats lickety split. The Ramyun was more addicting than I anticipated. The noodles were great and the candied bacon strip was a nice touch. It's really busy here and the wait staff are always moving around doing something. They have a positive attitude and are responsive when you get their attention. They are very focused on what catches their eyes like clearing tables but it can take time to get someone's attention since no one was looking up from their tasks. My husband's water was refilled three times while we were there and my water sat empty. Perhaps my cup was a stretch as I sat inside. I highly recommend coming here as part of your day in Berkeley! I will come back to try other items on their menu!

Google
the foods are a bit spicy and little sweet, but acceptable. Service was great, good place to talk to friends and party. And I believe dishes were over priced, 22 for instant noodle with egg and bacon…. But it’s Berkeley so make sense

Yelp
Berkeley Social Club is my all-time favorite spot whenever I visit Berkeley. It's super close to the downtown BART station, making it an easy stop, and I love strolling through the nearby tea shops and bookstores after a meal--it's the perfect way to spend the day. The space is spacious and beautifully decorated, with a warm, inviting vibe that makes it perfect for any social gathering, just like the name suggests. Whether I'm meeting up with friends or having a relaxed solo meal, it always feels like the right choice. But what keeps me coming back is the food--especially their Jjamppong. The Jjamppong is packed with rich, spicy broth and fresh seafood that hits all the right notes! Every visit is a satisfying, feel-good experience, and it's always the first place I recommend when someone's heading to Berkeley!

Yelp
Was at a birthday event nearby and the owner suggested this spot. Korean inspired Asian fusion restaurant, lucky to find immediate parking! Nice breakfast menu, lunch menu was scarce but there were options. I had the classic burger I think with salad, included millionaire bacon. Millionaire was good but more of beef jerky and not crispy bacon. Others ordered French toast/Korean fc bites. We liked it! Korean f.c. bites are like 4 chicken thighs.. not popcorn chicken when u think of "bites". For 9 of us, the bill was perfect for an even split. They also played the NFL playoff games on TV's by request.

Yelp
Ever since I've moved to East Bay, I've been hunting down for brunch spots. Finally got the chance to try out Berkeley Social Club and it did not disappoint! It is only street parking and during peak hours, it can be hard to find, so I suggest going a bit off hours. The restaurant was actually pretty big with lots of seatings (and people). Felt like a typical western brunch spot tbh (but it's fusion). We got the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and Waffles, the Ahi Tuna Benedict, and Bottomless Mimosas. KFC & Waffles - 5/5 - The amount of fried chicken on this platter is amazing, and thank god it's not basic tenders and waffles. These chicken are actually battered, fried and goes so well with the waffles and maple syrup. I added hot sauce on the side cause that's a must for me. Overall, probably one of my favorite Chicken and Waffles dishes. Ahi Tuna Eggs Benedict - 3/5 - I honestly had pretty low expectations for this cause everything just sounded like it'd be a weird mix, but I wanted to try it. I can say it was just alright and I probably won't get it again. Bottomless Mimosas - 5/5 - For $24 and 90 minutes, it was pretty awesome cause our amazing server just kept coming and refilling the glass for us LOL Food was good - I probably want to try other things they have. Most things were around the $20-30 range, which IMO is kinda expensive but that's just how the Bay is. Ambience and service is dope. Overall, I'd come back!

Yelp
I was in town for an overnight work trip and was meeting a local friend for brunch. She suggested this restaurant and it was an easy 5 minute walk from my hotel ( the Residence Inn Berkeley). I love the Asian fusion Vibe of the menu and it was a hard decision as so many things looked unique and delicious. I went with the Beef Bulgogi Benedict minus the English muffins underneath. They came with the most deliciously crispy potatoes and it was EGGcellent! And you know I had to get the Ube latte (with soy milk). The Latte was not too sweet which I appreciated. Our server was friendly and attentive and our order was right. My friend got the brussel sprout hash (which was going to be my second choice) and it was equally tasty. She got the coconut latte which was made with coconut milk and not real Dairy and she loved both. I would definitely come back

Yelp
Berkley Social Club is located just down the street from UC Berkley. Is it gonna be busy? Yup. Packed with lively college students? Yes. Is it smart to put a reservation in? Absolutely. The food here tastes great and looks great too! My girlfriend got the Blackstone Benedict with millionaire bacon. We really got it for the millionaire bacon, the eggs came with the bacon. I got the Mascarpone Blueberry Stuffed Crunch French Toast. They definitely got that crunch to accompany the fantastic lightly sweet french toast. Could've done with more fruits but I'm being picky at this point. We got a hot Dirty Ube Latte. The normal Ube Latte comes with chai. Get the dirty version if you want (or need) that caffeine. This place is lively and looks busy most of the time. A great place to spend your brunch time.

Yelp
We celebrated our friend's birthday brunch here this past weekend and the back patio was perfect for our party size and fur babies! We had about 30 people plus 3 dogs so it was nice to be able to move around and mingle amongst our friends. The setup/ ambience makes this place a perfect spot for brunch dates, bridal showers, birthday parties.. and so much more. Before I talk about the food I must admit, I am not a fan of fusion food. It's usually a miss for me so please take my ratings of the dishes with a grain of salt. What I like or dislike might not be what you like or dislike. Ok, enough of my ranting. Top Dishes: Club Moco: The best dish of day. The patty was thick and the kimchi was the perfect acidity to lighten the gravy sauce. I would order this again. 5/5 Pimped Up Ramyun: Spicy and flavorful. I didn't care for the bacon. 4/5 Bulgogi Benedict: Tender, flavorful meat and I love that there were some mixed veggies. It somewhat balanced out the heaviness of the dish. Korean.FC bites: Yummy! Crispy bonelsss chicken with a light batter! 5/5 Missed Dishes: Millionaire Bacon: Great seasoning but the bacon was not crispy. Not worth the $12 size order of 4 pieces. 1/5 Waffles + Korean.F.C: Their chicken is crispy and juice but the waffles were dry. 3/5 Supreme Jook: No. There's too much going on that it was overwhelming in flavors. This is a hard pass for me. 1/5 Egg in Purgatory: This dish has so much potential but the tomato stew was too watery and bland. 2/5 Although I wasn't a huge fan of the food, the service was top notch and was a 5/5 in my books! I wished I remembered our server's name. She was so friendly, calm and checked on us multiple times. Overall, this is a good spot for small or large party events!

Yelp
Haha, I forgot I had eaten here before. Just wrote a new review for a recent visit. 6 of my running friends from work plus some SO came here post the Berkeley Half Marathon to celebrate our 5k race in mid Nov. We were all in high spirits so this meal started on a very positive note. The place is huge with a high ceiling, classy yet casual ; we elected to sit outside since the weather was pleasant. I ordered the Irish coffee which was just OK.  Nothing compares to The Buena Vista in SF. For my meal, I ordered the Bulgogi Scramble, it had good meat and appropriate veggies.   The meal was expensive, $12 for drink and $24 for scramble.  But I enjoyed it and it was a special occasion.

Yelp
So, this is a fun and delish gathering place. When we were invited to a birthday brunch in Berkeley, we were scared. Berkeley? Is there anything else than Top Dog there. Oh my, please forgive me Berkeley. We had a blast! So, Berkeley Social Club is the cousin of Surisan in SF. So, everything in the menu feels .... exciting, different, intriguing. Brussel Sprouts Hash, Bulgogi Benedict, KFC waffles, Dirty Ube Latte. We were intrigued and did not mind to pay for it. Are they great food to eat? I'm going to join the millennials to look at the dish as a whole; taste and experience. I had fun taking pictures of the dishes. They were pretty and interesting looking. Therefore, they are 5stars! (The x in me: psssst.... not everything was good. They were potatoes, eggs, meat and flour) Service: It's an uber busy place. It's not a place where you sit, enjoy your morning, enjoy your food and companion place. Maybe because we were there on Saturday brunch hours? Hard to get service. All servers and helpers were sprinting from one table to another. After a while it's a blur who was our server. When we tried to just flag anyone, we were either ignored nor told to let our server know. We kept asking until we got the right person. That part was not pleasant. But, those poor kids, they were doing their cardio at work. Would we come back? I think this is a fund place to bring non Californians friends!

Yelp
Celebrating a family birthday! This place can get super busy, so we arrived around 10 AM to avoid the crowd. A heads-up: If your party is 6 or more, a 20% service charge is automatically added, which seems fair considering the potential workload. We tried a few dishes: Brussel Hash with Toast: A great option for a healthier breakfast. Generous portion, perfect for sharing! Supreme Jook: A comforting bowl of porridge with a surprising bacon twist. Pajun Seafood Pancake: Delicious! A great choice for sharing with friends or family. Dutch Pancake: Unfortunately, mine was a bit burnt around the edges. I might try something else next time. Millionaire Bacon: My mom loved it, though I personally prefer a thicker cut. Overall, Berkeley Social Club is a solid breakfast spot Hit it!

Yelp
The dirty ube latte was pretty good nice balance between the espresso and ube. The waffle and kfc was basic but was still good. Million dollar bacon was good as well. I didn't enjoy the music tho. Was to loud and much for breakfast. Service was quick and helpful tho!

Yelp
Okay!!!! You have to go to this place! The interior is excellent the vibe is cool and the atmosphere was just fun. The servers were all just fabulous. I felt a team work from the entire front house staff. The menus is Korean crazy cool. Who puts cheese on Gyozo dumplings? That was mega good. The menu has so many great fun and delicious selection you have to go here a few times or just order a bunch of things and eat until you can't move. My coworker and I ate both adventurous eaters and we ordered 4 appetizers. I only slapped 1 pic because everything was so great we just dug in. This place was GREAT!!!

Grace C.

Yelp
Overall was a bit meh. Decent food (aka korean fusion bar food). No air con in the building so avoid for a hot day. Service was decent and ambiance is college casual. 50-60/person

Anna C.

Yelp
I came here on a holiday, and the place was almost completely empty. I've been here a handful of times over the years and I'm not sure if it's because of the holidays, but I felt the food wasn't as amazing as I remember. They basically do Asian fusion food. Some of it is really good, like their corn cheese with hot cheetos, whereas I found other combos a bit strange (mashed sweet potatoes with galbi -- served without any rice). The service is great, the actual place is very clean and pretty. It is a little pricey though. It's a popular spot for brunch, so I would recommend you try it then.

Amanda T.

Yelp
The ambiance and vibes here are amazing! Very lively and cozy. They have a lot of pretty fall decor :) Everything we had here was tasty!! Can't wait to go here again. We went at 10am on Sat and it was slightly packed + no wait time. Blackstone Benedict (4.6/5) omgg so good! Made with their millionaire bacon, smokey and flavorful. This dish was hearty and very filling. I was only able to eat half of it. The potatoes were delightful, soft/fluffy on the inside but crispy and well seasoned!! Pork Sandwich (4.5/5) Yumm they came with shoe string fries!! I love the Asian fusion! The flavors were on point and they served it with a side of pickled vegetables veggies which really helps break the saltiness of the dish!!!

Iris C.

Yelp
This place offers Asian- American fusion food. Filled with college kids during weekend brunch hours. I have been here a couple times. The service was great and attentive. Menu price was on the higher size. Good portion was big. The ricotta lemon pancake that I tried, I would expected more for that price. A lot of carbs, it's way more than I could have. Just an average taste, it will be nice if it comes with a little more berries. Their famous bacon was popular here. It tasted great but a little too greasy and heavy for breakfast.

rosa S.

Yelp
We love the brunch menu here, but haven't tried the dinner menu until now. We were pleasantly surprised that the apps and entrees were just as good. Poke Noodle salad with Ramyun spicy noodles to start. BSC wings and buns were great apps. Tofu soup and Spicy Seafood Dolsot were nom nom for a cold rainy day. Spacious and beautiful decor. Service was warm, welcoming, attentive and efficient. Small touches like additional hot water for my tea was an appreciative gesture.

Brandy G.

Yelp
First time coming here and the ramen is so flippin cute!!! My friend ordered the ramen with the million dollar bacon and I got the crab eggs Benedict. What I didn't like about my meal was the hollandaise sauce has wasabi in it and I'm glad I asked for it on the side because I didn't even use it. The asparagus was cooked really well and tasted surprisingly delicious! I tried the ramen and I actually like it, they added mushrooms and other veggies into it which was a nice touch. The whole restaurant was ridiculously loud and I definitely see people having trouble hearing their friend/significant other across the table from them. The staff was very friendly and they were quick to bring our dishes and clean up. I kept having to ask them for water even though they could see my empty cup. The atmosphere is very vibey, the food was alright, but the prices were a reach. I thought it was too expensive for the quality of food we got. The really big downside to this place is the parking situation. It took me a solid 15 minutes of looking for street parking and finally found a spot I had to pay for. I don't see myself coming back because of the parking inconvenience and the overpriced food.

Sheila C.

Yelp
We ate at the bar because it was such a popular place. Food was great! We had the avocado toast and chicken and waffles and ube latte. So good! Nut-free friendly. The service was great! We didn't have reservations and was able to sit at the bar.

Christina A.

Yelp
The good: Great coffee. Great service. Large menu. Great space. The bad: I had a bowl kinda like a bimbap. I feel like it lacked flavor. I added some gochujang but it was super sweet. It was $21. I was hoping I would get some crispy rice with the stone bowl, no go. The veggies were good. The crispy tofu wasn't crispy. I wasn't willing to pay $6 extra for bulgogi or spicy pork.

Brizylla A.

Yelp
I was visiting the area and I came to brunch here over the weekend. Let me start off by saying I loved the food and service! Asian fusion brunch restaurants are my favorite and this place exceeded my expectations. I got the Korean fried chicken and waffles as well as the bulgogi bowl and both were packed with so much flavor and generous portions. The fried chicken was so tender and the bulgogi bowl was like bibimbap and had a nice kick to it. I love the twist they take on mimosas. You can't go wrong with the Tiffany mimosa or the peach mimosa. Might as well do the bottomless mimosas to snatch a deal. I want to come back to try the french toast and the bulgogi hash! Check this place out, it's cool if you're looking for a quick spot to grab a bite in the college town.

Yelp
I came to Berkeley for a food event but it didn't turn out how I expected it to be. So I looked around the downtown area to see what was good. This place popped up on my search, so I said "why not" So upon arrival, you sign in to be on the waitlist but luckily mine was just a 2 minute or so. The menu is a more Korean-American fusion which I love. I love Korean food so I was excited to see bulgogi on their menu and what not. I ordered the bulgogi scrambled and it was perfect. The meat had a sweetness taste with it that went well with the other condiments. The roasted potatoes were cooked perfectly. Nicely seasoned. The toast was a nice pair with the eggs. The only downside was my table was a little sticky but that's it. Interior wise is beautiful, big screen t.v.'s everywhere. I'm curious what millionaire bacon is so I will have to try that next time.

Christine D.

Yelp
My friend showed us this place and I absolutely loved it! The ambiance is so nice to catch up with friends and I would definitely come here again. The servers were super attentive and friendly. Ube Latte: 5/5 -- The coffee and ube flavors were SO GOOD blended together. I usually don't drink coffee but I finished this so fast. G.I. Fried Rice: 5/5 -- Absolutely amazing. Such great portions and seasoning. Udon Sauté: 3.5/5 -- I personally did not like the flavor of this udon but the texture was great and my friends liked it. Million's Bacon: 4/5 -- We ordered the wrong thing and expected the bacon fries LOL but this was good too. Pretty small.

Janessa H.

Yelp
Lively brunch spot with bomb food and pretty fast seating times. Got the stuffed french toast ($16) and the millionaire's bacon benedict w/ potatoes ($25). The french toast was crusted in frosted flakes so it was extra crunchy, my only critique would be I would love for there to be more filling / blueberries inside. My side of the french toast only had 2 blueberries inside, I felt a little jipped. The bacon benedict was delicious. They also have $13 espresso martini's and $24 bottomless mimosas which seem like a decent deal! I'd definitely come back!

Karla C.

Yelp
I finally was able to stop by and try this place. I heard good things about the happy hour food. I ordered the garlic fries. They were just okay. It's a good option for happy hour. I ordered the soy garlic wings. I think it was a bit pricey for happy hour, 3 wings for $6. The wings were delicious tho. We weee sat quickly ok a Friday around 5pm. I will say the food came relatively fast. However it took a while to get the attention of servers to get water, napkins and other things. I want to try the brunch items next time. I give it a 3.5 stars

Jen T.

Yelp
This place was delicious for a night out! Although they're mainly known for their brunch offerings, but I wouldn't underestimate the dinner options here :) I had the Saute Udon with pork and it was delicious. The noodles were immersed in a flavorful and savory sauce and the vegetables and mushrooms were cooked until tender. Something I really liked was the interior and the dark ambiance which made it a great late night spot.

Anne C.

Yelp
Brought out-of-town guests here for brunch and we were so pleased. Self check-in and we were seated immediately. The food presentation here is great. We saw, but unfortunately didn't order, the big pancake thing but we will next time! Ambient noise level is high but everybody is happy.

Debbie L.

Yelp
Food here was good. Dinner was like Korean food without the banchan. Ordered the dolsot w bulgogi which was good but needed more plain rice to balance out the strong sauce flavor. Others in our party said the same thing about their curry and pork belly dishes, too. I mixed some leftovers with plain white rice and it was perfect. Service was friendly. We had a large party and a couple of us needed to step out for a bit, which meant their orders sat out and got cold, but our waiter offered to heat it up for them once they got back.

Benny C.

Yelp
Came here after a pilates class and the food was hittin'! I ordered the Korean Chicken and waffles, the ube latte, and the pajeon. Korean chicken and waffles- Pretty good! The waffle was good, but the chicken I thought would have a little bit more flavor. However, the fry on it was great. Juicy and crispy just like how good fried chicken should be. Plus the syrup/sauce on the sauce made for a good addition to the flavor profile. Ube latte- Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Creamy and fragrant. I wish I had a whole pitcher of this latte. Not too sweet and the ube flavor was very dominant. Pajeon- My favorite for the day. Crispy and flaky but soft on the inside. I can still taste it in my head as I recall back to it. Loaded with various different ingredients. Shrimp, bacon, peppers, onions, you name it! I wanted to get another one after it was finished. That's how good it was!

Karla F.

Yelp
The wait was kind of long for brunch but that's just how it goes when you brunch on a Sunday! Two words MILLIONAIRE'S CANDY! That bacon is so delicious, I would get it again and again. The Mascarpone Blueberry Stuffed French toast was amazing as well. Crispy outside with a delicious filling. I'll definitely be back to try the dinner menu.

Selina L.

Yelp
Third time coming here and I really like this place! Even though it was packed today, food still came out in a reasonable time and we didn't wait long. I wish it was weekend so I can get endless mimosas without having to worry about driving . Good food, good drinks, good service, and always clean. I will keep coming back!

Jane R.

Yelp
First time coming here with friends and must say... I'm super impressed!! Heard raves about this place and decided to come by. Ambience is super nice and clean and fun, and the food is delicious. We got a variety of different food and all of them were really good. We also got some drinks as well but watch out- they are pretty strong. My friend literally passed out from one mimosa (maybe they put too much alc? LOL) and the irish coffee straight up tasted like alcohol with a hint of coffee Other than that, service is super nice and attentive. Great place!

Claire L.

Yelp
We got the dutch pancake and berkeley social club egg scramble. They do warn you that the dutch pancake takes about 20 extra minutes, but we were willing to wait. The fresh fruit paired quite well with the cream and pancake, so it was pretty yummy. We also enjoyed the combination of bacon and avocado in the egg scramble. This place is definitely a bit overpriced, but you are also paying for the ambiance I suppose. This spot is also super similar to other asian fusion brunch spots in the bay such as Sweet Maple and Soho Modern Japanese.

Joshua H.

Yelp
Took my friends who were visiting SF to Berkeley Social Club for brunch, as it's consistently been one of my favorite brunch spots in the Bay Area. Parking in the area is mostly street-based, but there are a few parking structures nearby if you don't mind a short walk. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a lively yet relaxed atmosphere perfect for a weekend brunch. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I ordered the Blackstone Benedicts, which were absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, and they complemented the Millionaire's Bacon exceptionally well. The dish was well-balanced, with rich flavors and fresh ingredients making each bite a delight. My friends were equally impressed with their dishes, which included the Korean Fried Chicken and the Breakfast Burrito - both highly recommended. One thing to note: the restaurant now bills a 20% gratuity for parties of five or more, which I was a bit surprised about. While I understand the reasoning behind this policy, it would have been nice to be informed ahead of time. Nevertheless, the service and food quality made it worth it. Overall, Berkeley Social Club remains a top choice for brunch in the Bay Area, and I will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
Just as good as I thought it'd be. Love how the menu is so diverse and gives such a wide range of things to choose from. The millionaires bacon was great but I'm not super heavy into bacon anymore so I wouldn't get it too often but if you love bacon you'd probably get this every time you come here. It's sweet, savory, and peppery. If you've ever had Filipino tocino that's charred a bit it kind of reminds me of that. The morning pizza was solid I liked the crispy mozzarella bits that were all over the dish. The arugula tasted really fresh as well and it cut through the heaviness of the potatoes, cheese, chorizo, and egg. My friend got the KFC Benedict was just okay, chicken was cooked great but I thought it was going to be covered in a Korean fried chicken style sauce (like soy garlic for example) . Service was top notch they have very friendly staff and they're always checking on your table. Would definitely come back here

Yelp
The mascarpone blueberry stuffed crunch French toast was amazing! Hands down one of the best French toast dishes I've ever had. Also tried a scramble that included their famous millionaires bacon. It was good, but I would suggest to get a whole strip of bacon vs chopped up pieces like we had. Service was extremely slow but they were very busy. All in all I would definitely recommend coming for brunch and trying the French toast.

Yelp
Not from the area but this place was always recommended! The ambience inside is amazing, lots of seating and lots of socializing going on lol. The servers are on top of everything with everyone moving with urgency. Even though it looked packed, the line moves very fast and we got seated in about 30 minutes for a group of 4. Food is amazing! The BSC scramble was great, the sweet bacon paired with sourdough and breakfast potatoes are a combo you can't beat. The French toast is cream cheese filled with blueberries and has a nice crunch due to the batter they fry! You can never go wrong with this place!

Yelp
A gem! Let's get right into it. My bestie and I came here on a Sunday morning, and my best advice is to MAKE A RESERVATION. It was packed, so thankfully I had done so. The ambiance is cute, and the table setup allows for maximum capacity without feeling crowded or imposed upon. The chai latte was good, and I was sooo happy that there are so many options for benedicts that aren't red meat based. I tried the Korean fried chicken benedict and the flavor was EXPLOSIVE! The portion size is also awesome, and I took half home for later (it still tasted great later). For price point, it was well worth it and the service was IMMACULATE. Our server checked in enough and made sure we had what we needed, but didn't over crowd and I loved that they DIDN'T RUSH US TO LEAVE. So many popular restaurants are doing that now, and it's become a pet peeve when dining. Though I live in LA, I will make this a new regular brunch spot whenever I'm in the Bay.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Ordered two Benedict's - Salmon and Millionaires bacon. The best! Also shared the blueberry mascarpone stuffed French toast. 30m drive here and I made a reservation on Yelp. By the time we parked and arrived, our reservation (during a busy Sat) was ready and we breezed right in before the crowds.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday after 3 weeks of reservation. We came 10 minutes but had to waiting another 10 minutes as the table was not ready yet and all guests were way as well which was not very well received. Once we got seated, the menu came out and we ordered right away since we already looked at the menu. Food came out quickly and well as drinks. Stayed for entire 2 hours max they let you stay til and it was a great time overall. The restaurant is alway busy and clean.

Yelp
Everyone in berkeley comes here at least once, and it is just a classic spot to check out. They really focus on presentation, so you can count on getting a good pic for social media. The servers are kind, and the food comes out so fast! Waffle and kfc - this Korean take on the classic chicken and waffles was a nice combination of sweet and savory. I do think the only thing that really made this Korean was that the syrup seems to have some gochujang mixed in it. It wasn't anything special and didn't add anything crazy to the meal. I wish the chicken had a soy sauce glaze or something that resonates more with the idea of Korean fried chicken, but I liked that it was boneless and crispy. Overall, my friend and I both got this dish and agreed it was too dry. We would've appreciated another kind of sauce for the chicken besides the little amount of syrup they give. Dutch pancake - my friend got this since it was such a unique item on a brunch menu, and the presentation was absolutely stunning. It's essentially a flat bowl made out of pancake with filling in the center of the pan. we were warned it would take 20 minutes, but the wait for it really is not that long. My friend added berries to her dish, and she said this was its only saving grace. Without the berries, it's just a concave pancake with an overwhelming amount of granola at the bottom. Truly nothing special apart from the presentation. Despite the shortcomings in flavors, I truly do love berkeley social club's beautiful presentation and lively environment for a nice weekend brunch.

Yelp
Work besties and I decided to have brunch here. We had a reservation at 12 and didn't get seated until 12:20 which is perfectly fine considering how busy they get. I ordered a lemon ricotta pancake with millionaires bacon and eggs. One friend got chicken and waffles and the other got a Texas scramble(?) I really love the millionaires bacon. It was worth the hype for sure, I've tried millionaires bacon at other places, and this might be my favorite one to date. The crispy Yukon potatoes were great, it couldve been crispier but Im not mad at it. Everything was well seasoned! Portions were big and filling. I really like the espresso martinis here. They were strong and delicious.

Yelp
Probably the best breakfast spot in the Berkeley area in my opinion. The menu is big but in a good way- your traditional breakfast items with a few fusion options. The space is pretty large, they keep up with there rushed with a large space and attentive staff. The backyard patio area is a good seating area when the weather permits. The drinks and bacon were also something to rave an about as well. For the drink I got the bitter mimosa, which was this blue raspberry color which I enjoyed. This place's specialty is their "millionaire" bacon, which is a sick name by the way. It did not disappoint, I'm a sucker for thick, crispy cut bacon. Pricing is a bit on the higher end (California prices - about $20 a dish depending on what you get). To wrap it up, recommend this place to anyone in the Berkeley area looking for a nice brunch!

Yelp
The Berkeley Social Club, or BSC is a large Korean fusion restaurant in downtown Berkeley that specializes in breakfast and brunch combined with popular Korean rice and noodle dishes. I came here to help celebrate a colleague's work anniversary for lunch. As with many Berkeley restaurants, you'll have to look for street parking. For appetizers, I recommend sharing the salmon avocado toast (5 stars) and an order of Millionaire's Bacon to share. Large, rectangular flaps of candied bacon to give a nice balance of savory porkiness with a hint of sweetness. Great for neutralizing any spicy main dishes. My entree was the pimped up Ramyun. This dish reminded me of the beef noodle dish featured in the Korean movie, Parasite, so it piqued my curiosity. The presentation was clever- eggy noodles spilling over from an instant ramen cup and dressed with cabbage, spicy seasoning, runny fried egg, and more of that Millionaire bacon. I enjoyed the dish, though a bit a spicier than I like (4 stars). They don't have much in terms of dessert options for lunch unfortunately, but they do have some sweet items from the breakfast/brunch menu.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to dine in Berkeley! Their brunch menu and dinner menu are both impeccable as well as their drinks. There is always a lot of people dining so there is usually a wait time, but I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The hosts and servers are always nice and attentive. The interior is gorgeous and and aesthetically pleasing. The bathrooms are clean as well. The food is always in large portions and I always get a take out box which makes it super worth it! The toast I ordered was the perfect amount of sweet and the fruit was fresh. I have also tried the Ahi and Salmon Benedict's and they are the perfect amount of savory. For dinner, the shin Ramyun is cooked deliciously and was spicy. It's a talent how they turn cup ramen into high quality noodles! I definitely recommend trying this place out, there is something for everyone.

Yelp
First time at this place was 07/02/22. We came here during our trip to SF because it had such good reviews. It didn't disappoint. Definitely need to try this place if you're in the area. Everything we tried was great! Staff were very helpful which we appreciated.

Yelp
Such a fun and popular Korean-American fusion brunch spot in Berkeley, CA!! The brunch menu is definitely than their dinner menu. I've been here twice! For brunch, I've gotten the Bulgogi BSC burger + Korean FC eggs Benedict and both were insanely good. For dinner, we got the curry noodles (added Korean fried chicken), the Cali burger, and the dolsot with bulgogi. Everything was so yummy, but definitely a bit overpriced. The service is quick and they keep refilling our water! The restaurant is in downtown Berkeley and has cute date vibes (saw SO many couples here lol)!

Yelp
Overall this place was really meh, I'm not even sure if it deserved two stars. Food were pricey for the mediocrity. Ambience was loud and tables were close. Wait was long for no reason (not for this kinda food). Can we do better please.

Yelp
A great big restaurant on University. A mash up of Korean and other asian foods. Stand out appetizers were edamame in soy and garlic sauce and shrimp sticks. Not so successful were stuffed bao and pork belly--sliced too thin to be really enjoyable. Main courses of bulgogi, galbi, and KFC were large. Wish the kfc was on the bone, rather than boneless, and galbi were thicker cut and less chewy. Bulgogi was very good on a bed of zucchini. Overall, a nice relaxing place with good beer and drinks, and a nice patio out back.
