Berlingeri advertises itself as vegetarian, but it is actually fully vegan, which was a bit disappointing for us since we were expecting to see options with eggs or cheese. That said, the food itself was still quite good. We ordered the avocado toast, which was decent overall, though the bread was sliced very thin, making the toast less satisfying than expected. We also tried the *La Wholesome Chimi* salad with mixed local greens, sweet plantains, roasted house seitan, marinated organic lentils, tomatoes, and cashew, and that dish was genuinely enjoyable and well put together. Overall, despite the initial confusion about the menu, the quality of the food was solid, and the flavors were well balanced. A good spot if you’re looking for a vegan meal, though clearer labeling would help set expectations.

Ate here on our last day in PR and wished we’d discovered it sooner! The vibe is amazing, and the food is delicious. The coffee was perfect and the Chipotle burger was extremely flavorful! The Cubano sandwich was interesting and we also got the Gyro to go, which had a similar seitan filling with a yogurt sauce. Hope to return someday.

Highly highly recommend. Ate here two times in a row during my stay in San Juan. Did both take out and dining in. The food is so wholesome, healthy, and made with love but far from short on flavor! Ayurvedic healing meets high flavor deliciousness and nourishment that feels like a warm hug when you eat it. Most options are vegan. Staff are so nice. Must go here!

I have ordered from DoorDash twice and both times it has been incredibly mediocre. The first time I order like a parmigiana I understand it was made of vegetables. I didn’t know it was gonna be a bowl of just cauliflower put together no effort at all today I ordered a burger Paid $16 to receive just a burger cold mediocre No sides Just a $16 hard bread, mediocre vegan burger with a mediocre ice coffee in total $28 dollars. Thats PR for you.

Tons of vegan options/substitutes. We've ordered the BBQ onion burger (10/10), vegan cubano (8/10), strawberry iced latte (10/10), melon-limon juice (10/10), and strawberry cake slice (7/10).

Where do I start this place was excellent all the way across the board the environment the atmosphere was super cute all the employees were super friendly and attentive who I believe was the owner was super sweet and attentive as well it felt kid friendly the food was fire and it was fresh it was tasty it was satiating and I didn't leave feeling stuffed and sluggish I was able to leave and go do my two hour workout without feeling nauseous I'm really impressed with this place I wanted to make sure I took the time to write a positive review because they really deserve it and I hope they see this so I could take the time to say you guys are doing an excellent job keep it up and people like me need restaurants like yours thank you guys so much keep it up

I ate here twice because it was so good. My favorite was the jibaro bowl. The food is fresh and healthy and flavorful- highly recommend! I had a little trouble finding it the first time. From McLeary the entrance is in the back left corner of the parking lot. If you’re walking on Calle Loiza, you pass through a pedestrian walkway on the left side of Loiza Street Station and turn right once you’re in the parking lot.

my favorite place during my time in PR! i think we ate here 4 times, if you’re vegan or just like nutritious food this place is sooo delicious and amazing prices. $30 for two people, and we recommend the soup! as well as the breakfast burrito, the happy oink bbq sandwich, the cubano, and the bowls are delicious as well. everything has a yummy twang which i think is vinegar but it’s good. the people are very nice and friendly! 10/10 recommend! you can sit outside and be shaded by flowering vines or inside and it’s good vibes.

The place is a hidden gem! It's located in the back corner golf the parking lot so it was a little tricky to find lucky I called and the cashier came out and found me. The food is great! Got the stuffed avocado with the soup and rice and beans good was super flavorful and healthy! Glad I was able to get something that was light but filling. I definitely recommend to any one looking for a healthier option for food while in San Juan.

Feb 17, 2025 review Ambience - both outdoor and indoor are full with greens. Outdoor is a shade with all green boundaries. Item 1: Jibaro bowl- contains wholegrains rice with a choice of protein (seitan vs tofu, I got tofu). Bowl was good, very filling, tofu was well cooked. Lot of carrots though but overall good portion size. Fried plantain was sweet and was tasting almost like sweet tofu. Item 2: Chipotle burger- contains black bean and mushroom patty, avocado, greens, fresh pico de gallo, chipotle aioli, tortilla crumbs. While the burger tasted nice, soft bun and crunchy patty, it would been nice to add som green or fries with it. I would have been fine with extra 2 dollars to enjoy the side along with burger. Item 3: passion fruit juice. I asked if it was squeezed today. Person on the counter said no (honest answer thanks) but said it was made with fresh passion fruits. Overall, highly recommend this place if you are in San Juan area and looking for vegetarian food.

This restaurant, which is kind of tucked away in a parking lot, caught my attention! They offer a fantastic ambiance , a dining area outside, and delicious vegan food! The best burger I've ever had was the chipotle black bean burger with a side of seasoned roasted potatoes. I returned a second time to enjoy it again. I thought the guacamole and pico de gallo on the burger gave it a really refreshing and unique flavor. I paired it with a delicious and light watermelon juice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. If you're in Puerto Rico and want to taste some delicious vegan food, I really suggest checking out this place.

Excellent food with lots of options. I had the vegan tacos with tofu. The tofu was seasoned and delicious. It came with a delicious root soup. My wife had picadillo which was flavorful and scrumptious. My son had the steak, which I unfortunately can't remember the name of. He loved it. I also had the best espresso I think I've ever had! Also, nice ambiance. Indoor and outdoor seating, though a little small.

Very nice staff, they were welcoming the moment I walked in. The lighting, music and atmosphere is laid back and with good vibes. A vegan restaurant and the food is SO good. Absolutely worth going to. The coffee is also the best I've had so far.

Amazing food! Scrambled eggs were done to perfection. All the dishes were good. Little on the pricier side. Tip didn't make sense since it's almost all service- water, utensils, order placements are self service.

If I could eat here every day I would definitely turn vegan!! Eating healthy doesn't mean sacrificing flavors and they know it. They make delicious healthy food! Super cute place, with inside and outside seating area. Great service. I ordered the Charcoal Lemonade, very refreshing and the malanga pure bowl with walnut-based molida with salad. It was hearty and DELICIOUS! It could be a little hard to find. Is actually inside of a parking lot, on the back.

Had an amazing breakfast. The tofu quesadilla and the coffee was great. Great Service and atmosphere. I wish it was open on Sunday I strongly recommend the iced latte.

After 2 days in Vieques few vegan options and fewer that were delicious, Berlingeri was just what I needed to perk back up! We order the Cubano, the BBQ sandwich, fries and a strawberry oat milk latte. All were amazing! So glad to have a filling and delicious vegan meal. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

EXCELLENT food! I had one of the best salads I've ever had here. You can tell this place is family-run and uses fresh local ingredients. Beautiful patio seating.

This is a great spot to eat. They did run out of the tofu and seitan by the time we got there. Had 4 different dishes and everyone was happy with their food. Everything was flavorful. We have had some bad vegan/vegetarian food so it was nice to eat at a good place. Do not recommend the passion fruit bread. Little gummy. We sat outside and the covered area was nice. The place was hard to find with it being in the back of a parking lot by Walgreens. So look closely.

LOVED this place. Super fresh, healthy, almost macrobiotic type food. It's entirely vegan except the gyro and one other item that come with a yogurt sauce. We got the soup of the day (an incredible warm puréed soup made with pumpkin, plantain, and malanga), the tacos with walnut-based molido, the jibaro bowl, and the prisma salad. The "magic tofu" that comes as an option on the salad and bowl is fantastic. The housemade seitan is also outstanding. We loved the tacos too. Also appreciated a wide selection of kombucha flavors from Karibe kombucha.

Everything is fantastic here. Can convert an omnivore. People are friendly (like all of PR), we ordered a ton of food - different salads, bowls, soups, sandwiches and finishing with coffee - the whole group liked each and every item, which is rare. Great job!

My favorite vegan restaurant I have ever been to, EVER. I go every-time I visit San Juan and always recommend this spot- even to non-vegans/vegetarians. Everything on the menu is made in house and fresh, and they have their flavors down. Everyone who works here is super lovely and kind!

My vegetarian family of three came here and enjoyed our meals. It can be a tad bit challenging to find vegetarian food in the Puerto Rican scene (esp after the pandemic), and having this place available in Ocean Beach arena was a blessing. The only downside is limited hours. My son got taco salad and it could have used a different flavor sauce, my daughter got Jibari bowl and was underwhelmed by it, and I got the seitan chickpea salad w/ side of soup and it was yummy! I wish we had sauces and dressings that we could choose from. The ambiance was great and relaxing.

Vegan paradise in San Juan! I cannot sing this place's praises enough. There are ao many delicious options. We had the tacos with mixed fillings- one was pumpkin and one was vegan molida made of lentils, walnuts, and mushrooms. The flavors were amazing and the dressing for the greens was also really nice. The jibaro bowl with tofu was really filling without making you feel too heavy or lethargic afterwards. The watermelon juice was extremely fresh and refreshing. The bread pudding was moist and had the perfect amout of chocolate chips in it. Overall, I wish we had had a chance to eat here more than once in our short trip to San Juan, but I would definitely recommend to anyone, especially vegetarians and vegans, who are in the area. Service was quick and friendly and the interior is decorated pleasantly. In addition, the restaurant and bathroom were very clean and well maintained.

This was my first time actually having real vegan food and it was absolutely delicious. My group of 10 people had walked in for Monday lunch around 11:30am and they were able to accommodate for our group size, much appreciated. The food came out in around 15-20 minutes and you could tell that everything was super fresh. I opted for the Jibaro Bowl with magic tofu and it was so good, I highly recommend it. The tofu was seasoned beautifully and had great flavor, and the bowl was jam-packed with a variety of different ingredients and textures. Also had a bite of their mango cake and wow, it was so moist and packed with flavor. My meal at Berlingeri was my favorite meal throughout my 4 day visit to Puerto Rico. The food is fresh, flavorful, and left me feeling satisfied and ready for the day. Definitely a must-visit if you're ever in Puerto Rico!

As a nonvegan, I like this kind of vegan restaurant. I didn't feel penalized for eating vegan. My magic seitan with carrot salad and lentil salad was excellent. Hubby liked his picadillo cubano, though he had to go to the counter to get the spicy sauce he ordered that didn't come out with his order. The banana bread was good too. This place is hard to find. It's name appears on the side of a building near the street but it's actually in a building in the back of the parking lot on the far left. You can order in the app or at the counter. Hubby had to wait a long time to order at the counter. It might be better to order online.

this place is amazing. the food was delicious, authentic, and perfectly seasoned, coffee and desert very good too. highly recommend the Cuban mixed plate. 100% would return, a must for vegans or vegetarians visiting San Juan.

Finally some yummy vegan food. Only takeout was available via and online service but the woman said she could help us order if we had trouble doing it online! The menu states it would be 40 minutes and it was a little over that. We walked across the street to enjoy some coffee while we waited. The food was hearty and I felt nourished after eating it. It was great to get some real vegan food! ... not just a thrown together entree on a carnivore menu like we get at most spots on the island. Def order ahead and pop by to pick it up. Checkout the photos of the front as it's tucked back in a parking lot off to the side.

Just the vegetarian spot I needed for breakfast and reset during the weekend, beautiful inside, lots of choices to drink and eat. My husband and I loved the food and I loved that I had leftovers. I had the most delicious watermelon juice and I stole some of my husbands tamarind juice because it was amazing! Great service

Amazing plant-based food that feels authentically Puerto Rican! Staff was all really nice and the spot feels very light and airy. It's walking distance from Ocean Park beach and great for a mid-day lunch break! We had the picadillo and the chipotle burger, paired with lemonade and lattes. Everything was delicious! It is popular and can get crowded so prepare to wait a bit for a table.

I wanted to love this place but we were not treated the best. We placed an order that took over an hour and a half. We literally watched several people sit down, order, get their food finish their entire meal and leave. We placed 2 orders that shouldn't have taken longer than 45 minutes(according to the ticket) but it took a heck of a lot longer. And when asked they were like 'let me check' but never did. They literally helped everyone around us which was quite baffling. The dragonfruit bread was delicious and the Thai burger was pretty good.

Amazing vegan food that was beyond fresh, we also got the tacos and passion fruit bread to go. Highly recommend this place for vegan and non vegans. The staff was nice and the restaurant was stunning with all its plants. We will be back :)

Great spot with delicious food. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. A mix of locals and visitors gave it a non touristy vibe, which is appreciated in a city like San Juan.

Great food, good tasting, good service. We ordered the gyro, the jibaro bowl and a couple of burgers, along with a soup of the day. All of it was served fresh, hot, and was very tasty. Be aware that this restaurant does not have traditional table service and menu is only provided through an online menu and/or app. Food can be ordered at the main counter and is brought to your table. I did find the ordering process through the online menu a bit complicated plus I apparently had poor signal issues on my phone. The staff was quick and friendly in assisting me. It's a keeper, will be coming back when I get the chance.

Overall a 5-star experience from the service to the food. There are plenty of options to choose from! We ordered two chipotle burgers and they were amazing. The burger came with two sides. There were plenty of options to choose from for the sides as well. The food tasted very fresh and the portion size was really good! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the San Juan, Puerto Rico area.

The place was kinda hidden due to ivy partially covering the restaurant sign.. good thing they're not open for dinner otherwise many would have triue locating the place at the southeast corner of the parking lot . I am not sure if the Cosmic gyro lived up to its name but it was very good (by any standard?). The tamarind juice could've used a bit more sweetness as well as some slickness to get a better place (suggestion to the chef - if you do, please call it cosmic jugo.... Jugo de cosmos may have a totally different meaning ). I would definitely go back given a chance !

Truly the freshest and tastiest meal we had in our vacation to San Juan. The staff are friendly and helpful in espanol and English. We came back three times in ten days for lunch because it was so good. All the food is vegan and my partner and I agreed it is some of the best vegan food we have had regardless of the city. Overall it is excellent and a must visit for anyone interested in plant based foods and local foods in Puerto Rico. Recommend the Jibaro Bowl, picadillo, and the other daily options.

I've been trying to go to this place for years. Every time I'm in town visiting I go by a couple of times and they were either closed for the day or at one point they might have even been doing renovations, I don't know. Anyway, today was the day. The inside is really cute and straightforward. You order at the counter, take a number, and the food gets delivered to your table. My sandwich, my girlfriend's burger, our horchatas, and a slice of banana bread were all truly excellent. I am so glad I finally got the chance to eat here and will be back.

Delicious food that happens to be vegan and vegetarian and seems to challenge you to eat it and miss meat. You probably won't. You get a main and two sides. The day we were there, the mains ranged from a simple curry (potatoes, beans, cauliflower, some other things) to a delicious pumpkin bean lasagna sorta thing, to a cubano sandwich. Lots of juice options. A dessert list that is difficult to pick from, including house made ice creams, cookies, puddings. We had an avocado lime "mousse" that, though it was more purée than mousse, was refreshing. Thumbs up to it all. Note its location is almost hidden -- it's inside a parking lot of an auto body shop and/or car wash, and its door has no signage, but a large wall visible from the street is painted with its name and logo. It's between Kazalta and Mango's.

I had one heck of a time finding the place. Pulled into three wrong parking lots before giving up, finding street parking in the neighborhood, and setting off to find the place on foot. The employees are super friendly and very willing to explain everything. Food came quickly and was delicious. They have a fantastic patio area covered in vines that was the perfect place to enjoy the nice weather.

Love this place! Hours are limited but worth it. Beautiful food, beautiful people. I love that there's a vegetarian option this close to the main drag, and it's really really good! Will plan my hotels to be nearby so k can be a repeat customer!

Excellent vegetarian spot in Ocean Park! I had the Prisma salad and it was delicious. The flavor combinations and textures were creative! The greens were fresh and I enjoyed the variance in types. There was fresh avocado, plantain, and chickpeas. Super yummy. My husband got the Thai Burger and it was also very well prepared! We will return!

Es uno si no es el mejor spot que hay en toda la isla. La cantidad es más que razonable y el sabor siempre igual de delicioso. I have eaten from here more than 9 times and not once it was bad or average.
