"Designed within two strikingly different adjoining buildings - a listed warehouse and a contrasting glass apartment block, Village East combines both cosy booth seating, counter dining, a tucked away dining room and a spacious cocktail lounge. The cosy booths gain character from vintage-feel lampshades and urban mesh-style dividing panes. The food has a similar vibe - from comfort classics with a creative twist to healthy salads. This is a restaurant that knows what it’s doing and does it very well." - Superfantastic
This street is great and a must if you live or are visiting Bermondsey. Plenty of choices for eating at a variety of prices, there is a small art gallery (The Cube), a place to reformer Pilates (which I haven’t tried yet), a cute kiosk to buy flowers, etc. Many choices and great atmosphere, highly recommended.

London vibes with cafe to people watch, variety of small tasty restaurants, art and verging in bohemian with council estates near by. Good vibes with small tribes.
